Brought my old Nissan Rogue for new Drive Shaft, and Control arms. Repairs were done quickly, and made my car feel like new!! They were able to do the repairs for UNDER the quoted price. Because Im a woman with no mechanic friends to look out for me, and have paid for numerous auto parts I didnt need or in one instance bought a part my car needed, the guy didnt put on, but charged me for. I called Greenwoods on a recommendation from a fried. This is the most honest business I have found since my dad owned his gas station/auto repair back in 1973.I kept hearing a sound from what I thought was my motor. Took my car to Greenwoods, was told the motor is just fine. (Come to find out the noise is from a wheel.) He didnt even charge me to diagnose it. I really trust this place. My friends recommendation was spot on. Hes honest and wont charge or fake a problem. Ill never go as anyplace else for car repair again.

Nate gave a fair price and time frame, and suggested that I research common problems hes seen before with the make and model. I researched what he said and found some serious flaws with this particular make and model, so his advice saved me a lot of money today. I called to cancel our appointment since I was no longer interested in the vehicle and he gave me some additional tips to keep in mind when shopping for other vehicles. Weve had new brakes, to battery and electrical fixes to heating and cooling system fixes. They are honest, personable, and know their way around any vehicle! Give them a ring! Youll be glad you did!

I have bounced around with several mechanics over the past decade trying to find the right mechanic. Greenwoods Automotive has won me over due to the experiences Ive had with my last few visits. They are always super busy so I have to schedule out a few days, but it is well worth the wait. They are prompt once you get to your appointment time and have always had the car done same day. They are honest and fair. Most recently, I had to take my car into the dealership because of a couple of recalls. I asked them to look at the brakes because the car was shaking when the brakes were applied at high speeds. The dealership said the pads measured at 0/32 on all 4 brake pads and all 4 rotors were warped and needed to be replaced. Fortunately, I passed and decided to take it to someone I trust. Greenwoods said the pads still had plenty of wear and measured them at 8/32 (not sure how the dealerships measurements could be so different...hmmm). Greenwoods said the front rotors were warped, but could be resurfaced rather than replaced saving me a significant amount of money. Theyve earned my trust and business!

I have gone to Greenwood Auto Service for over 20 years. They do good work at reasonable rates. They also are happy to give me available options and let me choose what to have done without any pressure. I feel that I have saved a lot of $$ over the years. Keep in mind that you often need to make an appointment a few days in advance.

Over the last couple weeks I took both of my daughters vehicles into them for issues- air conditioning broke on one and my other was a power steering leak. While its always hard to pay especially when funds are low, I felt I could trust them and they werent trying to add on other stuff or overcharge me- thank you!

We didn’t want to put in a bad review but our last experience has been so bad and our car still isn’t fixed.We came in for an oil leak. They fixed the pan and it still leaked, so they said it was coming from the rear main. We spent $700 to get it fixed. It was still leaking. We had a warranty. It sat for a week and they did nothing. I brought it back again and it sat for a month. I called to check up and they said the leak was now from the transmission, but they weren’t sure. He said it was fixed and we spent $300 more. We got our car back and it is in fact STILL leaking after spending over $1000. We truly don’t even know if they worked on it the month they had it.

I asked for 3 simple and specific things relating to oil and lights, they went out of their way to find vague undercarriage problems that would cost 6x what I went in for. When I declined the extra work, I start hearing I would be in trouble if I got pulled over and I could kill someone on the road etc. The woman at the front didnt show the slightest common courtesy after paying, thanking her and wishing her a good day. You might have an experience like mine

Customer Service is excellent here, but the actual repairs are not always great, nor do they always fix the problem. Just took in a car for evap issues. Got my charcoal canister replaced, and it was installed incorrectly with hookups being swapped. Theyre nice, but they dont always know what theyre doing. And that was also apparent in their attitude; there was definitely a lack of confidence in the employees as well. Honesty is important, yes, and I appreciate it, but maybe focus on the education of your techs a bit more, eh.....

Last year I started bringing a vehicle to Greenwood for service and its always been great work. I recently took my truck to Big O Tires in AF for wheel balance and tire rotation. I had them do an inspection as I was about to leave on a long road trip. They gave me a report that I would not only need new brakes but my coolant was in need of flushing. Mind you, this is a 2013 Ford Raptor with just under 40k miles. This wasnt a verbal report, this is their inspection card filled out with their findings. My brakes felt fine to me but I went ahead and looked into it.I called the Ford Dealer for a quote, Greenwood was half the price including parts and labor. I just went and picked my truck up from Greenwood and they told me there was no service needed. My truck still had 80% left on the brake pads and the coolant tested just fine. Reported that it was 100k coolant and should have nothing to worry about. I paid for 1/8 hour of service and was on my way. Any other mechanic would have done the brake job or wouldnt have even bothered and charged me for it as well as the coolant. I will never even call another mechanic or dealer for a quote. Greenwood has another life long customer.

I love this mechanic shop. Weve been going here for a few years and I completely trust them. Other places, when they have to deliver bad news, dont really care and you can hear it in their voice. Greenwood cares and even apologizes though its not their fault. They seem to understand we all have budgets and money doesnt grow on trees. They do a great job fixing my car and are very personable. They try to get it done as fast as possible but are very popular and busy for good reason. To me, the wait is worth it for the good prices and honest, kind workers.

Dropped my car off here a couple of days ago. It was losing all of its coolant and overheating super bad. Greenwood kept me constantly updated and I figured they wouldnt be able to get to it immediately but they got it all taken care of by the end of the week, and the labor and parts seemed very reasonable to me ($190 to fix the leak including a heat valve and temperature gauge replacement). Based on my experiences with other mechanics, Im betting this would have cost a lot more somewhere else. Overall, Im very impressed with Greenwood and wouldnt hesitate to bring my car in again.

You worry about honesty when it comes to car repair shops, but Greenwood takes that worry away. They tell me straight up what the issues are and let me know what I can let go for awhile, and what needs immediate attention. Dont waste $$ going to a dealership.

Very friendly staff, and easily dropped off, picked up. A clear itemization of needed work was delivered after the computer check was done, including costs for future needs that could be trouble soon, but not right away. A very good experience overall. Keep up the good work.

I experienced helpful, friendly service at a good price. He clearly explained the issue with my car and asked if i wanted it fixed. While i did have to drop it off, i was in and out in less than a day and was happy with the fix and price.

Greenwood: $121, Other reputable mechanic: $2,100. My car wouldnt pass emissions which a mechanic with a good reputation said would require the replacement of at least one of my three catalytic converters. I paid $700 to replace the first but my car still didnt pass. I was saving $1400 for the next two but took it to Greenwood who discovered the problem was a tiny leak in an exhaust pipe. Total cost: $121. I wish I had gone to Greenwood first. Theyve earned their reputation.

I love Tom and Nate and the gang. Just like how a service station should be. Great feeling from excellent mechanics that are very real about fixing the cars. I have had a few trouble issues that needed a few tries, but that will happen everywhere, even with medical doctors trying different things for someone who is sick. The thing is that they are real and trustworthy and know their stuff.

We take car issues here exclusively now; straightforward and trustworthy. Only 4 stars because they are so busy it is hard to get your car in in a timely way sometimes.

Great service very honest. First time coming in and would recommend. My car broke down and I told them I thought the starter was bad. Was expecting to pay 250 for a new one (still pretty cheap) they looked at and just just repair the one a had because it had come loose only charged me 70!!! They easily could have charged for a new one as I though that was the problem. It is nice to find people who look out for your interests.

First off, theyre the only mechanics who dont talk down to me because they think a woman doesnt know anything, and they dont try to sell you things you dont need. Second, everyone around will tell you hes the best, and honest. His grandfather started the business, and its really a mark of pride here.

Ive been using these guys for years to fix my vehicles. Ive had them do all kinds of work, from changing brakes, to replacing a full engine I ran low on oil. They have always been fair and honest with me, and have done excellent work!My only complaint is they are so busy!

These guys are absolute rockstars! I had an issue with my car that started at another shop after a fix. The other shop came back to me multiple times saying they found the problem and fixed it, which wasn’t the case. After getting multiple things fixed and spending money every time, the noise was still present. I left them and came to Greenwood. They looked over literally everything, and found the issue the first time I brought it in. They were fast, got the problem fixed, and honest. I will now only ever take my car in to Greenwood.

We take our car to Greenwood whenever we need an oil change or other repairs. Theyre honest and generally do good work, for pretty much the best price around.They are also really good at explaining what is wrong with your vehicle and how it can be fixed and what it will cost. So, when you go to pay the bill there are never any surprises. They even end up charging less than their estimate sometimes, when a job turns out to be easier than they thought it would be. Thats something you dont see very often from a mechanic!The only problem is that they arent very good about scheduling things (Im not sure, but I think part of the problem is that their computer system is very old). As a result, an oil change can take a whole day to get done, and you only have a really good chance of getting work done quickly if you drop the car off the night before and use their key drop. Also, they dont do on the spot registration renewals, though they can do safety and emissions. Despite some of these issues, I think its more than worth the inconveniences involved to know that Im not going to get bilked, bullied or lied to when I take my car in for service or repair.

I have taken cars to Greenwood more than once. The people are honest and have fair prices. The last repair was a motor mount that the dealer said would take 2.5 hours to repair ($90 times 2.5 or $225 for labor). Greenwood did a great job on the repair in about an hour ($70). I also had an alignment done for $39.99 on another car. Other places wanted $80+. The people are friendly and efficient.We just had the 100,000 mile maintenance done on our Odyssey, Greenwoods charge about $200 less than the dealer and so far so good. I have noticed other people complaining about taking cars in when they want a problem diagnosed. I have had similar problems, as long as I know what is wrong and leave a list of things to be done Greenwoods is great. If I want diagnosis done I usually take my care somewhere else.

They always try to give me the best deal while trying to take care of the issues. Happy to fix a part if it is cheaper than replacing it.

I heard about this place from a regular who gets their work done at this shop. Jason took care of my car and fixed everything up perfectly. He called me right when it was finished and even checked my brakes because I mentioned I was concerned with them. I can say they exceeded my expectations.

I love this place. After I got my first car I learned that any time I needed to take it to the shop (not greenwoods) that I was looking at a 400- 500 dollar repair. It didnt seem to matter what it was that was getting fixed, it just always seemed to be 400.00 to fix it. Then I found this place. AMAZING. I was so impressed with their service and their honesty. Went somewhere else just last week to take advantage of their free fire rotating service. They told me I needed new this and that and the total wold he over 900.00 to fix it. I then took the car to Tom at Greenwood and showed him the list of things they said needed to be fixed. The next day I had my car back, fixed and the bill was not even half of what the other place was saying.

My family has taken many cars to Greenwood Service. Tom Greenwood, the owner has always taken great care of us. He is honest and fairly priced. As some of the other reviews have said, this is a busy shop! So at times they are not always able to offer a same day service. However, they still try to get you in and out as fast as possible. I just recently had the front brakes and rotors replaced on an Infiniti G35. They were able to do it in just about an hour or so.If youre looking for a good honest mechanic, Tom Greeenwood is your guy!

Im so frustrated with my experience with Greenwoods because I know its a very uncommon one. Ive heard nothing but good things from some very car-savvy people about them, but I feel like they dealt me a bad hand.I took my Honda to them 4 months ago to fix a leak in my clutch system, and to replace my timing belt and water pump for maintenance. I was told beforehand that this would be about $700. I took my car to them and they called me after they had taken a look at it, before they started working on it, and said it would be about $830 instead because of parts needed for the clutch system. They already had my car, and this was still much cheaper than the dealer, so I agreed to pay that. When I picked up my car that evening, they had raised the price to $890. I was ticked, but resolved to just pay it and have everything over with.When I got in my car to drive away, I immediately noticed a sound like a belt rubbing against something when I rev up to about 3,000 rpm or higher, and another new sound like the water pump is stressing itself at idle rpms. Both sounds absolutely did not exist before I took my car to them, and when I took it back an hour after picking it up to ask them about the noises, they told me these were normal Honda sounds. I said my cars never made these noises before, and they told me to let things break in, and to come back in 3 weeks if its still an issue.I also noticed that they hadnt bled the clutch lines properly, because my clutch pedal was soft, but I didnt bring this up because normally the bubbles will just work their way out and all will be well.3 weeks came and went without the slightest change in the noises, but like an idiot, I didnt go back to ask them about these noises again until another month later. When I did, I made an appointment with them to look at it, left my car with them all day, and when I picked it up they said they had adjusted the tension of all the belts and that the noises were gone. As I drove away, both noises were still there as prominently as they had ever been, but I didnt want to turn around and deal with it right then as they were closing, and I didnt want to speak with them while I was so upset.I promise Im not being paranoid about these noises. Im positive they didnt exist before, and theyre louder than my engine is as I drive around. I feel like my cars just waiting for something to break, but Greenwoods just isnt willing to help.Also, the clutch system still hasnt worked out all of the bubbles, making me suspect theres still a leak somewhere. The fluid reservoir at this point is about half-empty.Again, Ive only heard good things about Greenwood Service outside of my experience, so I dont want to say theyre terrible, but I cannot recommend them to anyone.

Took my truck here for repairs. 3 months later it had not even been looked at and was told to come get it the didnt need the work.

Typical scheister mechanic. I brought my car into Greenwood after I kept experiencing misfires and a persistent service engine light. I paid Greenwood $400 to fix the problem. The very next day I experienced the same misfires and service light. So, I brought it back. Greenwood called me later to explain there was nothing wrong with my car and unless I could bring it in while the service light was on they couldnt help me. So, when the service light came on again, I called Greenwood. This time I was told that despite having paid them to fix the problem and despite having the service light on as requested they were just too busy to see me. I took my car to a different mechanic down the road and he had it fixed right away. Greenwood is glad to take your money but they dont stand by their work, nor are they interested in taking the time to diagnose a problem to make sure they get it right the first, or even the second time you bring your car in. Go somewhere else.

Tom always does a good job at a very fair price. I trust him that he will give me only what my car needs and not charge me for random things.

About 10 years ago, my van started clunking as it drove along. I took it to the dealer and they said it would be around $1800 to fix. I took it to Greenwoods and they fixed it for $79.00. Weve been loyal to them ever since. Also, we have a car that we bought for our teenagers for $2,000 probably 10 years ago and it has made it through all 5 of our teenagers and still keeps passing emissions and inspections, thanks to Greenwoods.

I had a turn signal that I could not fix after over an hour of trying. At home, I replaced the bulbs, tested the connections, and nothing fixed the issue. I brought my car into their shop and they had a similar experience...this was a nasty bug to track down. My car wasnt ready the same day which was a bit annoying but after 2 hours of testing and working on it they still hadnt found the problem and so I left the car there overnight. However, by the next morning I received a call and it was ready and fixed. I was worried about the cost because I knew they spent over 2-3 hours fixing it, but the price was just $88. Im sure they lost money on my transaction, but they will make plenty of money off of me over the long haul because Ill be going back anytime I need car repair.

I first went to Les Schwab. They told me my caliper was completely broken and one rotor was shot but we should replace them both to keep them the same age. I didnt trust them and took my car here for a second opinion. They told me my caliper is fine and my rotors can be fixed with a tool and they dont need to be replaced. My car is great and they saved me over $400 by being straight forward. They have earned my business!

I have heard nothing but great things about Greenwood and I was actually refered to them by my boss; but my personal experience with them has been a very poor one. I had an appointment, dropped my car off for the day and when I went back to go get it they said that they didnt have enough time to look and see what was really wrong with it. I kept telling them that there was something that wasnt working right, and they didnt feel like it was important to look harder to try to find out what was wrong. They fixed one of my blinkers and told me that it was the only thing they could see. Less than a week later that blinker quit working and when I called back to see if there was any type of a warantee they told me there was nothing they could do about it.I am very dissapointed with the service and help I have recieved here.
