This particular location is just not hospitable or welcoming at all. I’m a size 4-6 almost anywhere and I know I’m not not exactly “skinny” and lean more towards an average or curvy build, but this brand seems very exclusive when it comes to size and doesn’t seem to be very accommodating of bodies larger than a 00-2. Their “Small” fits like an XXS and their “Large” fits more like a Small or “tight” Medium. As if this weren’t enough, the sales staff working are very snooty and condescending. They don’t seem to want to help sell you clothes or ease the process, it almost seems like they are placed there to judge or shame you for having the audacity to exist in a body that doesn’t replicate a Barbie doll. One member of the staff went as far as to suggest that maybe this wasn’t the store for me when I asked her for the next size up in an item; it was absolutely belittling and I’ve never felt so small and so big at the same time. Needless to say I didn’t buy anything, and I left that day with shaken confidence and hurt feelings which is exactly the opposite of how one wants to feel on an excursion meant to be relaxing and rewarding. Honestly, the clothing itself is so great at excluding and body shaming that I don’t think it’s necessary for the staff working to also contribute to the toxicity. My advice would be to avoid this brand altogether unless you’re feeling a little masochistic.*Update: before posting this, I tried to call and speak to the manager. I wanted to give him/her the benefit of the doubt; maybe they don’t know how their employees are behaving. I called three times and each time I was hung up on after making my request to speak to a member of management. It is clear to me that this location knows exactly how toxic they are and they don’t care.

The workers were incredibly rude. I was shopping with my grandmother. I found a tank top and went up to the cashier to pay. My grandmother gave me a $100 bill. I gave the cashier the money and she kept checking to see if it was real. She even trembled to give me my money. I would give this place 0 stars if I could. They were giving very rude and biased customer service. Do not recommend anyone shop here. And their clothes are overpriced for such cheap material

My daughter would have been a very loyal customer as she enjoyed your brands. Your young, arrogant, and rude sales “professionals” either need to be trained or fired. The management of this store would be very disappointed to realize they are running off customers with their condescending attitudes. Do you want to sell clothes????

I tried to return a pair of boots I bought yesterday. The lady at the desk was so rude and said I couldn’t return the boots because they were damaged and scuffed. There was no damage to the boots whatsoever. Their stuff is so overpriced and impossible to return with the tags, box and receipt and all. They will look you straight in the eyes and say you damaged the items when they’re brand new.

Rudest lady. I have bought my girls more clothes from here and the lady is still rude every time they come in. Hopefully she will be fired but I think she is the manager.

We walked in bc something the mannequin was wearing caught our eye. The employee could not find it so she located it online and wrote it down on a paper for us. The item was the wrong thing. I went to the store to return but that was not an option. Returns are not free and they take forever. Not very happy with the online customer service either.

They changed up the layout of the store a bit and it looks as if it is going out of business. Big store with few clothes.

The girls at the Avalon store were incredibly rude at closing, glaring at us to leave. As soon as we walked in there, they rolled their eyes at each other, followed us around the store, we didn’t feel comfortable trying on close bc they were rushing us out and as soon as we left they ran after us and locked the doors, we heard them giggling. And it was still 5 minutes until closing, absolutely bad customer service. Hire nicer staff.

Really great, curated selection of clothes that retains a small boutique feel despite it being a chain. Good range of price points. The staff was very friendly and helpful without being pushy.
