I just could not adjust the Solex 28 on my ‘58 beetle so that it would idle for longer than a minute or so. Probably residue from ethanol gas sitting in it for awhile was the problem.I had these guys rebuild it. When I got it home, I put it back on, cranked it up and without touching a single adjustment the car set there and idled for a good ten minutes. Have driven it a number of times since and at every stop it idles down perfect.Yes it did cost a good bit more than when I had my last carburetor rebuilt 45 years ago but it’s fixed and I’m very pleased with these guy’s ability to rebuild the original carburetor that came on my car.Hope they are still in business 45 years from now when I’ll probably have to get them to rebuild it again.

I had recently been looking for JETS for a Zenith carburetor with little success. Somehow I go to Carb. specialists and was very pleased with the service and support provided by their staff. The parts were delivered very fast and fit perfectly. Thanks again.

What an excellent experience! John and his team really know how to deliver a high-quality product as promised. My two-barrel Holley carburetor on my ‘76 Ford Bronco needed a complete rebuild. They did a phenomenal job and it runs (and starts) like new! Thanks again to John and his team for doing such great work at a reasonable price and in a timeframe as promised.

Bought two rebuild kits. Had what I needed in stock the same day both times, for cheaper than mystery eBay man. Beats buying online and waiting for shipping; friendly and helpful service.

They were fantastic. I have a 1980 Nissan Patrol imported from Colombia. It had a Hitachi DCH340 that was no where to be found. They suggested a Weber 38/38. The kit arrived and I installed is without a problem. Direction provided were easy to follow. I turned the key and it started immediately. I didnt even have to prime it. A VERY SATISFIED customer.

Greg was very helpful in identifying the carburetor I had in my 1946 CJ2A Jeep even though nothing about this vehicle is stock, and the carburetor that I had was extensively modified. When I arrived to pick up my new carb Greg made sure that everything matched up with my old one before he sent me on my way. I installed the new carb and the Jeep started right up. It runs better now than it ever has since I bought it. Im very happy that I found this shop and would recommend them to anyone.

After several tries, I went to Carburetor Specialist. Should have inquired to them first. Spoke to Greg, told him what I needed, said he had one, sent it.....works perfect! 4 stars only because I wish the shipping, both ways, could have been less.

These guys are THE BEST! Found out about them from my father who owned the marina on Lake Rabun, Ga. Ive had at least a half dozen different carbs rebuilt by CS for various vintage vehicles and a boat, and just bought a NOS 1985 Quad from John for a modified 1947 Willys Station Wagon. Runs like new now. When it comes to carburetors, I wouldnt trust anyone else.

Chose the location because of proximity. Was quoted a seemly high price, I agreed to the work because of time constrains. When I returned to the office I shopped the price and discovered Greg was over twice what another reputable competitor offered with surface refinishing and bench testing. When I called them back 3 hrs. latter to stop the work and pick it up, they stated that the work done so far would cost $100. A little more research and I found he was the highest in the nation. I can not speak of the quality or work but I advice anyone to shop the price. I could have done both my carburetors for the price they charged for one. Will not be using them again.

I sent a carburetor from a 1978 Landcrusier to carburetor specialist for a no idle condition. Once (supposedly) repaired I installed it onto the vehicle. Low and behold it still had the same issue. Assuming the carburetor was repaired correctly I started looking in other areas on the vehicle for the issue. After 20 hours of diagnostics I narrowed it back down to the carburetor and I took the fuel cut solenoid off the and come to find out that the o-ring had not been replaced and was causing my issue. This solenoid is part of the carburetor and should have been inspected and re-oringed upon the rebuild. I called and did not get any help of any sort from these guys and they took no responsibility for the issue. I highly recommend not to use carburetor specialist for anything. I wouldnt even let them make me a sandwich. I kind of wish i could rate them lower than one star. Horrible, horrible experience!!!!

On my RV, I have a carburetor that goes on an Onan 5500 generator that went bad. RV parts distributors I called around the country said this carb was discontinued and not rebuildable as no kit was offered. I sent the carb to Carburetor Specialist, they rebuilt and sent back within a couple of weeks. When reinstalled, it started on the first shot with no adjustments required. Awesome!
