Great atmosphere, customer service and the food was tasty. The chicken Ceasar salad was delish and the chicken was seasoned very well. The ham, egg and cheese crepe was yummy as well. I would have liked the cheese melted throughout and for it to be served more hot.The vanilla latte was very good. Will definitely return.

I had breakfast here since the location is very close to the hotel where we’re staying at. The place is tucked inside rows of building, it’s on the left side from its main entrance. We had cream brulee blossom and it was so good, more of a cream cheese inside. My wife had a banana nutella crepe and you can’t go wrong with nutella. I had sausage, egg and cheese on croissant with spring mix on the side. I loved the salad and they were very generous with the sausage patties.

I can’t believe I’m just finding out about this place. I highly recommend the smoked salmon crepe, Caesar salad and the creme brûlée croissant

The cappuccino was good, avocado toast was delicious.However, I got a disposable paper cup for my coffee even I was having it there.The shop wasn’t very bright though the name was “coffee shop in the sun” lol

Crepes were decent but pretty dry. Ordered a scone and it came out ice cold even though it was supposed to be warmed up. Had the weirdest conversation with the woman working the counter. We didn’t get a side salad with the crepes after talking with her for awhile about which side we wanted and decided we’d get the salad. After asking about it she said they didn’t come with sides so the previous conversation we had about them was pointless. Overall was just okay and definitely won’t be returning.

Fantastic coffee shop with cool vibe and friendly people working here. I got an iced white chocolate mocha and the quiche lorraine. The drink was great, the quiche was the best Ive ever had; to die for... Will definitely be back when we are in town! And probably tomorrow before we leave ; )

This is a cute shop which sells espresso drinks, smoothies, and simple french fare. We waited in line for about 10 minutes and had our food in 10 minutes more. The service was good/friendly. Unfortunately, the patio was full when we arrived so we ate indoors.We ordered a Marble Loaf and a Quiche Lorraine. Both were very yummy. We also got 2 cappuccinos which were good (although the smallest size is a 12oz which is too large for a cappuccino IMO).In all, we were happy with this quick breakfast and relieved we could find somewhere to eat in a pinch at 10AM on a Saturday.

Nestled near king street and the pedestrian friendly streets of old town Alexandria, Cafe du Soleil is the best cozy cafe in town. Delicious crepes, pastries, and specialty coffee. The atmosphere is quaint and lovely. The service is prompt and warm whether its to grab and go or chill for a while. They are taking all the safety precautions and offer outdoor seating options as well. They even serve wine now 🙂. Definitely my go-to spot, check them out, youll be glad you did!!!

In town for a wedding and popped in for a quick breakfast. Omg! The food here is a delicious experience!!

I stumbled upon this humble establishment on opening day with a limited menu. I tried two of the crepes and they were exceptional although priced on the higher end. I had the best mocha I ever had in my life. I went back since and have had the Florentino Quiche and the white mocha which was also delicious. The venue is very clean, private, and comfortable. The staff was very friendly and eager to satisfy and meet the needs of staff. And....during this time of social distancing, they respected the 6 foot rule and were cleaning surfaces etc. Service was grab and go but Im sure the venue will be a packed favorite once the storm passes.

Love love love this place. I usually come here after working out. It’s the perfect cafe local cafe. You really feel like a community with the incredible staff! The coffee is great and so is the food. You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu.

This place was just across from our hotel so we decided to check it out. So glad we did! The staff were very attentive. Food was fresh and delicious. Outside seating, Clean and inviting atmosphere. Checked all the boxes! It was so good we came back another time before we left town.

Your food and coffee are great and your staff very nice but please make up your mind and “follow the science” and CDC guidelines. I have visited your establishment for the last three days and no mask was required since I have been vaccinated. This morning I was told by one of your staff members that I had to wear a mask. While I understand it’s your right as a business to request people wear a mask but please let’s be consistent about it.

Super charming restaurant. I went on a Saturday when it was super busy with people, no doubt like me, who were happy to be out and about again.The coffee was excellent, even the fresh made decaf which they made expresso style into a Cafe Americano. The pastries were good too. I gave them 4 stars because of the dogs allowed in the restaurant.Im a dog lover, so dont jump on me. I just dont like them in restaurants.

Its a cute little cafe in Old Town. I had their lavender latte which was really good! Ill definitely be back to try some of their other coffees. The staff was super nice. They had some baked goods that looked really tasty too. They also had plated food on the menu, as well as whole beans to take home. As of 1/23/21 (relevant because covid!) they had both indoor seating and covered outdoor seating. The outdoor seating wasnt heated when I went, but Im used to cold weather so it didnt bother me!

Ate breakfast here daily while staying in Hotel Indigo across the street. Friendly staff and delicious food made this my favorite way to start the day. The avocado toast was fantastic!

This cafe had everything I wanted - and did it perfectly too. Stopped by on a road trip from NYC to Savannah with an overnight stay in Alexandria. After a night of junk food from rest stops, I woke up wanting something healthy but hearty. The green juices, bagel sandwiches, and crepes were exactly what I was looking for. They were so tasty and fresh, done just right. Would highly recommend!

Very good brkfast, but it is expected to get a toast with your scrambled egg! We paid extra for bread.

Had a wonderful experience there. Girl working at the register was very nice and friendly. We sat there till they close. Great music. Our Americano and Chai Latte were perfect. Prices were very reasonable.

Impossible to find with their small signage and dining out front. Bldg just looks like basic residential like everything else.

Very friendly and delicious stop! The vegetarian quiche is so good and I love that it comes with mixed greens. The outdoor patio had open spots to sit, and it is dog friendly. Everyone thought lunch was delicious. Would definitely return!

Quaint sorta hidden cafe spot with multiple types of seating. Wife loves getting away from my son and I’s pestering to feed us by escaping here to get work done. Counter Culture Coffee is the roaster of choice here which is always solid. Kinda spot you can do breakfast, lunch and coffee without moving the whole day.

Amazing crepes! The crepes are eggy and doughy and delicious. I actually much prefer theirs to Fontaine’s in Old Town. They’re big and filling too!Price is great for its quality. Fresh squeezed orange juice is wonderful too! A lovely setting sitting outside watching people pass by on their bicycles. A perfect place for brunch.

Café du Soleil is slowly becoming the cure for all my gloomy days and a remedy whenever I feel homesick. France in the middle of beautiful Old Town Alexandria. Try the croque-Monsieur for a quick indulgent ( but healthy !) treat for lunch or a crêpe to warm up yourself on the cold day.

We walk regularly downtown and often walk by. Finally, went in and very glad we did. Great coffee. The crepe was delicious as was the croque madame. Nice, charming interior. Staff were really friendly and made us feel very welcome even with the social distancing rules. Delightful local business that we will definitely visit again.

Our new favorite coffee spot in Old Town! Weve been every weekend for the past 3 weeks, and will continue to go! They use only organic beans, that have a great flavor. Weve tried hot black, iced, oat milk latte, and cappuccino. All have impressed. Nutella crepes are great as well! Coffee is priced appropriately.

Stopped in for something to drink while enjoying Old Town. Plan to visit again and try one of the many offerings on the menu.

Came in on a Sunday Afternoon for a coffee and pastry. We had a cappuccino and a cafe mocha, and ordered a nutella and strawberry crepe. The crepe was delicious and went well with the drinks. Will absolutely be back!

Delicious crepes and quiche. A variety of yummy pastries too. Service was wonderful and very friendly.

The limited menu performs. Every item that I have tried (at least six) had been excellent in freshness, quality and presentation. Their organic coffee is super. Roll over, Starbucks. You cant compete. Bring on that European macchiato!

A great little shop hidden away off the main drag. We ordered online for pickup and it was a smooth transaction. The Nutella and banana crepes were delicious as were the prosciutto and tomato crepes.

Great little place. Just happened by and decided to grab some coffee. Best Americano I’ve had in quite a while. My wife’s cappuccino and my kid’s hot chocolate were also very good. These people obviously care about their work. I also really enjoyed the look/atmosphere of the cafe. We will definitely be going back.
