I wish I could give it less than one star. I booked an appointment online for 10am. I tried calling a few days prior to make sure they could conduct the hardware repair I needed. No answer. The morning of my repair came and I drove to their storefront to see a paper sign saying they didn’t open until noon.Their website did not have any mention of limited hours and it still allowed me to make an appointment for 10am.I called the help line and finally got through to someone, they moved my appointment to 12 because I didn’t have a dozen other errands to run obviously. I saw an employee walking into the store and tried to get their attention to ask if I could just drop my laptop off. I don’t think he heard me but I did knock on the door for a minute or two and he just ignored it. I found someone else to repair my laptop same day.Customer service representatives were rather rude on the phone and would just keep saying “yes, okay exactly” when I would ask questions or describe the issue I was having.I received a phone call from the store at 1125 stating they cannot conduct my repair because they’re not working on laptops at this time. Why even have an option for a laptop repair appointment on the website if that is the case??I’m sure this company does some okay work but just take it to your local repair shops and save the hassle. Support small businesses and not this Mickey Mouse organization.
Went here to get my phone screen fixed. The guy at the desk was friendly and his upsell pitch was noninvasive. I will definitely be coming back to this location should I ever need anything fixed again
Where the Springfield location was able to fix my phone till 4 days. The Alexandria location had the battery in stock and was able to fix my phone in a single day
Very easy process! My phone was under extended warranty, so Verizon covered the battery exchange. I dropped off my phone and two hours later, my phone battery life was back to 100%. Thank you for an easy process.
Made an appointments on their website and nobody was there when I showed up. Thats an hour of my time Ill never get back. They need to update their website with accurate appointment times!
Find a better place. 1st: the phone number is not the store, its a call center who intentionally misleads you into believing they are in the store. 2nd: their information about stock is not real time updated so even if they tell you an item is in stock there is no guarantee it truly is and when you get there it could have been a wasted trip.
I had a claim through my cell company to have the screen replaced. I went in a little after noon and no one came to the counter. I pushed the little service call button at the counter.I even stood around and read the posters in the wall in case they were busy. I left after 3 posters or 5 minutes.Screen is still cracked. Its disappointing.
In the past week, I tried to make an appointment to get my phone looked at 3 different times. For all 3 appointments, I checked the store hours and successfully booked an appointment using uBreakiFixs website. Each time when I arrived for my appointment, the store was closed for some reason. Do not go to this location if you value your time and want your device fixed within a reasonable timeframe.
Never been here but it’s around the corner from my house and I wanted to see what they fixed so I googled. Come to see all these people complaining about the store being closed etc. I know you shouldn’t have to but in these times it make sense to call snd confirm an appt before driving 20 miles it’s COVID people and store hours have been modified in every industry across the board. Give these guys and yourself a break by taking a min to confirm an appt and keep in mind this isn’t a doctor it’s an electronic repair place lol
Ive had my phone repaired there, which they did really well. Unfortunately, everything leading up to me receiving my fixed phone has been a nightmare. I found myself figuratively pulling teeth trying to get the simplest information (price quote, timeline, do I get my phone back by mail or in person?). I dont understand why they dont have a ticket number you can look up on their website or even set a reminder to call back their customers.
Drove to two different locations both 20 miles away from my home only to find the stores closed. The website and the maps clearly said they were open till 7 PM. I just wasted three hours of my day.
I scheduled appointment through Samsung for my warranty repair. They gave me an appointment from 5pm to 7pm. When I went to the store I was told they do not take Samsung phones after 5pm. If that was the case why I was given that time. Was told come on Saturday. I scheduled it again with Samsung for 10am to 12pm. When I went there at 10.30am it was locked and there was a note they do not open till 12pm. I went back again at 12.30pm. When I went they locked at the phone and said our Samsung Server is down go to our different location. This has to be the worst experience I ever had.
I’d give them a 0/10 if I could. I took them my laptop that is under warranty with HP back in April. They gave it back to me and it worked for 2 days and then broke again, so obviously I took it back. They then did some more diagnostics and said they couldn’t fix it and would ship it to HP. Unfortunately ubreakifix has a portal with HP as an authorized service center of HP and so calling HP directly results in being told “you have to go through ubreakifix and they’ll update you”. I checked in with ubreakifix regularly and they were giving me updates like it had arrived, HP couldn’t fix it, etc. when I then tried to get a new laptop because ubreakifix alleged HP couldn’t fix it, it was revealed HP had never received the laptop because ubreakifix LIED about having shipped it. When I spoke to ubreakifix again, they apologized and said the two employees who had been putting lies in the tracking system instead of doing their jobs had been fired. She assured me she’d send the laptop in to HP. I check with HP and there’s still no record of ubreakifix sending in the laptop. I then try to get ahold of ubreakifix but they don’t answer any of my calls. I drive up there and they have a sign with no date on it saying they’ll be closed for 2 days. That was Sunday June 13th. I find out from ubreakifix’s customer service line that the Alexandria store had a covid outbreak (meaning some irresponsible employee probably refused to be vaccinated) so they’ll call me back when they reopen. He didn’t offer to sort it out, his solution was just that I should be without my laptop for over two months because of the sheer incompetence of ubreakifix. So yeah…… I don’t recommend ubreakifix; they should change their name to ubreakiDONTfixIts now July 7th and ive been given the run around by the corporate office for the past 3 weeks, having called them no fewer than 10 times. Im pretty sure the franchise owner of the Alexandria location has just shut down and effectively stolen the property of the poor souls who were unfortunate enough to have entrusted their devices to his care. And the corporate office doesnt seem to be willing to do a thing about it. Avoid at all costs.

Visited twice trying to get a more functional battery for a 2 year old phone.After the first visit, the new battery was draining at least as fast as the two year old battery (needed to recharge after dropping from 100% to 20% 3 times in one day!), plus it was noticably hot while charging. Fine, some electronics are duds.Went back for a different battery. They kept my phone for 2 hours and dont appear to have done anything despite claiming to have replaced the battery. Somehow magically the battery continued to be drained in one continuous line despite that time period covering two batteries. Unless they did an instantaneous swap to a battery which had the exact same level of charge, theres absolutely no reason to believe they did anything other than hold my phone to try to make me believe they did anything, particularly as my battery level has already dropped 5% just while writing this and as soon as I plugged it in it started heating up.Incredibly disappointed in this shoddy service. Ill give it one more shot at a different location because Im stuck having already paid for it, but buyer beware, you may be paying a not cheap sum to end up with a device operating worse than when you went in.
Got my Pixel 3a screen replaced in a matter of hours! Price was better than other vendors we called, in some cases by $50 or more. Great communication and easy process overall.
ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE EVER DO NOT GO THERE. NO EXPERIENCE OR CUSTOMER SERIVCE. Brought a laptop in for coffee being spilt on the keyboard, on Thursday. Said it would be ready end of the day Friday. No calls, no updates nothing. I come in on Saturday morning. Employee Mario hands me my laptop without saying anything. ITS BROKEN. Does not turn on. When i dropped it off it still turned on and everything. Because they left it out and didnt do their job the laptop sat and now doesnt work. LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. DO NOT GO. THEY ARE THE ABSOLUTE WORST. BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!
My PS4 would not update to version 7.51 and the disc drive simultaneously stopped working (error code SU-42118-6). I took it to this store to get fixed. The guy manning the front desk told me they would call the same day to tell me what the issue was and what they would do to fix it. I waited three days without a call before I went in to get an update. A different guy told me that it was likely that I needed to replace the hard drive (approximately $150) to solve the issue. A refurbished PS4 is comparable in price so I opted to take my PS4 home and troubleshoot the problem myself. I googled the error code and found a YouTube video on the first page that said the problem was a blown fuse on the motherboard and walked you through replacing it. I purchased a soldering iron and the fuse I needed (under $30 total), took apart my PS4, and replaced the fuse. I have never done electrical work in my life and was pretty sure I was going to break my console so you can imagine my shock when I booted up my PS4 and it was able to update. The disc drive worked perfectly too. If you have an issue with your console I would take it somewhere else. These guys are clueless.
Make an appointment and show up. You might have to wait for them to open or have time for you. Then they say they dont have the parts or service your type of phone?! Why have I twice made appointments and been asked what phone I have/service I need and both times show up and they cant help me?
The service was excellent. I waited just a few minutes and the associate was very polite and apologized for the wait. They were not able to fix my iPhone. However, they did not charge for the time, even though they probably worked on it for an hour or two. Good value. Id go back there for sure.

If you are looking for a computer repair shop that will return it in worse condition than you left it and claim otherwise after repeated attempts and photos to show otherwise, then this is the place for you. This is the experience my son went through in getting his 3-year old HP computer repaired for a swollen battery. First it was returned with a new battery, but he was told it wouldnt charge and broken. He took the computer home and plugged it in using the power unit that came with the PC. Bam, it worked! Some screws were missing and the shop agreed to replace them. In doing so, the shop said a hinge was broken and could not be fixed. The only people who opened/worked on the PC were from this shop. After an investigation, he was told the shop did not break the hinge and he would have to pay hundreds to get the hinge replaced. Really? Talk about total incompetency and lack of accountability. These people sound like career politicians vs competent technicians. This place should be called uBreakiDestroy.
The staff was amicable, courteous and very helpful. They had the products on sight and were very reasonable in costs. Lastly, they repaired within the allotted timeframe. Great value! It was certainly worth the drive from Maryland to Virginia. 👍😀
I was on vacation from San Diego and my screen cracked. I took into them and they assured me that they could fix it. Two and half hours later, it was done and looked as good as new. They were great in providing me with customer service and they were very professional. I would highly recommend this place.
My work Ipad screen was cracked in multiple spots. I needed fixed to do my job or pay for a replacement. I priced out repair costs and repair time in the area and most were $300 and a week.uBreakiFix gave an estimate half as much with a 3 day turnaround, I was, in fact contacted within the next morning and picked up my Ipad the next day. It was good as new.

I’ve been here twice now and absolutely love this place. They’re up front about things and there are no surprises. If they say they’ll follow up the next day, they will. They didn’t charge me for the diagnostic/repair estimate either time. Wish this place had been around a long time ago. Matthew was the tech who assisted me today and he was great about explaining everything and helpful about other steps I could take. I wouldn’t even consider going anywhere else now.
Im going to call this review PENDING... I dropped of a laptop three weeks ago to have the power port repaired. I understand this is a time-consuming repair, however, the lack of communication is bothersome. I literally have to call every few days for an update. I was told a week ago that the part had arrived and the laptop would be ready in a day or two. I called again and was told that the person who does the repair is out and so it would take a few more days, now Im three weeks into this process and had to call again today, only to learn that the part that was ordered and received didnt fit (it happens)... so a new part would have to be ordered and it isnt expected back until the 27th! If its all done by then this process would have taken over 6 weeks! All I ask for is communication. If youre working on my equipment and there is a problem, simply call or text me and let me know, thats what I consider good customer service.Once this process is complete I will update my rating.UPDATE: I have received my equipment and it is working perfectly!Actually the charging port seems to be working better than it did brand new. Im grateful. Pick up was quick and easy and everyone at the King Street store is very friendly and polite. I cant say I wont be back if this happens again, Ill simply be better prepared and wont expect a lot of updates.
Highly recommend this location. I came in thinking my phone need a new charging port. They could’ve told me that was the issue, but instead they just cleaned out the port and it charges good as new. I also asked about another issue and it turned out Apple forgot to put some screws back in when they replaced my screen. UBreakiFix put the screws in for me and did not even charge “because they just had them laying around.”
I am in town on business and broke my phone screen. I set everything up online to bring my phone in and took an uber as I do not have any other transport. I was told the process takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes (1 hour for the labor, 45 to run Samsung diagnostics), though it could be up to 3 hours. After walking around the area for an hour and a half I returned to the store to ask if they had screen protectors, so I could walk to another store and buy one if they did not. They said they do not have screen protectors for my phone, no big deal. I asked how much longer it would be and they said another hour and a half. I returned an hour and a half later and they told me my phone could not be fixed as the screws were stripped, in a brand new phone. There could be something I dont know, but it seems I spent a little over $40 on Lyft fees for the screws in my 5-ish month old phone to be stripped, and I could have also been told about it when I came back an hour and a half into the repair, instead of wasting an extra hour and a half. So now I still have a phone with a broken screen that I will need to mail in.

I sent my iPhone 8 in to be repaired for a cracked screen, and when I went to pick it up, I found that the home button wasnt functioning properly. I gave it back to them to fix, but they claimed that nothing was wrong and proceeded to not do anything for the additional two hours I had it there. I have to now take it to a different location, spend MORE MONEY to have it undone and redone properly. I am very furious and put off by the lack of respect, professionalism, responsiveness, understanding and communication. When I tried to communicate and explain my problem, I was talked down to by the lady. I am very offended and furious. DO NOT USE THIS LOCATION!!!!

Very rude, unprofessional, and poorly trained people. If you are looking to have your device repaired, take it to another location. By reading other reviews they appear to be less than honest. That is one of the reasons for my review. The employee I engaged with appeared to have gotten caught in being less than honest. I suggest you read their less than stellar reviews where that theme appears to be a common thread.
The Alexandria store was an enormous help to me. The young man Peter working there was extremely knowledgeable, friendly, and extraordinarily helpful. He quickly diagnosed the problem with my phone and it was a quick and easy fix. Im enormously grateful and Im sure Ill be back!
Shady. I got warranty work done for a screen replacement. The tech stripped a screw while putting it back together and within a month the screen cracked again while in my pocket. High quality right? So I decided to go in and ask for help. They could neither help me with the protruding screw nor look up my information to verify who worked on my phone.
They replaced the cracked screen within a couple hours of dropping it off with them. Great and convenient service....
Very grateful they fixed my phone during COVID, and the many times before that!! But, the new screen they have for my X Max is very poor quality. The sides of the screen are not sensitive to touch so I cannot drag down to access the one touch menu. Also the color of the screen is off, way cooler toned than the normal apple screens. The difficulty to use the screen on my Apple phone makes this an F job! Will have to get it replaced to be usable elsewhere
Yes, they are open during COVID! I felt very safe in the store with social distance enforced and masks worn. My phone was having issues powering on and they fixed my phone at no charge! Great customer service!
Not only was my phone not fixed, but my credit card information was stolen by an employee of the store. When I reached out to report the crime, they would not let me speak to the owner. I’m disgusted with the level of service and lack of compassion for their customer when their employee commits a crime.Update -Your employees would not report the crime to the police despite allegedly firing the 2 employees who were caught on camera. They did however provide the first and last name of the employees in question, and advised me to follow up with the police myself. I warned them that not calling the police would constitute failure to report a crime and was illegal so they can’t claim they didn’t know.I wouldn’t exactly call that taking the issue seriously. Hopefully your employees didn’t delete the video footage and add obstruction of Justice or tampering with evidence to the list of crimes. I’m at the police station now filing a report.Given the high reviews of your service, I’m surprised by how cavalier and dismissive your employees have been about the situation. On Yelp, the store owner has gone as far as to accuse me of slander even though they asked me to file a police report. Having my character called into question on top of my experience is simply unacceptable.

Worst customer service ever! I am very disappointed in this place was recommended by Samsung. Unprofessional, rude and completely unable to fix my screen. Went in was told they would order the screen, waited 7 days no screen, was called back and told I would hear from them later that day and did not. Called and was hung up on. Never ever take anything here they are so bad. I have gone elsewhere and had it fixed with no problems.
I called them with some issues on my surface pro 4, and they told me that I should try some software troubleshooting, and then consider replacing it rather than fixing it. You know its good, honest advice when they say, thanks, but giving us your money is not your best option.

I called ahead to confirm they could repair my device. When i dropped it off, i was told it would take 2-3 hours. That time passes so i call back and ask if it’s ready, I’m told it will take a couple days. Fast forward 4 days and I ask if it’s ready and they say it could take another day since they haven’t even started the repair. No communication, no updates without me calling consistently, absolutely ridiculous.

Having a Google pixel your options for in person customer service can be limited at times. But ubreakifix promptly repaired my wifes cracked screen in an hour and was I able to purchase a reasonably priced screen protector there. Amazing customer service and professionalism. They texted me to let me know when it was ready for pick up. Very satisfied

Went to get battery replacement for a Pixel XL, which turned out great. However, in the process they broke the screen, which they didnt realize until I tested my phone just before I left the store. Although they replaced it for free, it meant a few more days of waiting and extra trips to the store.

I dropped off my phone at 6 after work and was able to pick it up in less than an hour. Its great that they stay open so late and are able to work so quickly. We had a malfunctioning cell phone (coming apart at the seams and overheating); the technicians here fixed it within a few hours. It works fine now. Its good to know that cell phones can be so easily repaired in a convenient location. The staff members were courteous and knowledgable.

Work phone.I gave them the phone to put new screen when I get it back the home button wasn’t working. I went back yesterday in the morning as soon as they opened like 11ish am then went back at 2:30 and the phone wasn’t ready. The guy asked me to give them 1 hr 30 mins to 1 hour more I said ok. Didn’t get the call from them and when I called no answered they closed the shop having my work phone in the shop. This is so surreal

Sim card got stocked inside the phone and Apple could not fixed it, instead they recommended to buy a new phone. The guy at ubreakiFix in Alexandria store was able to open the phone and get the sim card out! The phone is working fine :)

Terrible customer service! Wasted two weeks of my time! Brought a Mac Book Pro that wont hold a charge due to charging port problem(s). They couldnt tell me what was wrong in-house. They sent it away for ten days, then called me to pick it up. At pick up, they asked for my charger. After twenty minutes in the back room, I was told my Mac Book was still broken. I was told it would need to be sent back for at least another week. I declined. I found two new scratches on the top of my still broken Mac Book. Also, they could not verbally tell me what they believed was wrong with my Mac Book (let alone provide any documentation). I understand that not everything can be fixed, but my experience was not handled well.
I am a regular customer of your store in Alexandria, VA on King Street. In mid-July, I shipped my iPhone 7 Plus to your store via UPS for analysis and repair. A couple of days later, I received a phone call from your store saying that it needed a new battery and that it could be repaired. I authorized the repair and asked that it be shipped back to me via UPS (at my expense, of course). I confirmed my delivery address for the store employee. On 7/22, your store charged me ~$95 for the repair and shipping.The problem is that I never received my iPhone back. I receive regular deliveries from UPS and do not have any problems (whatsoever) with stolen packages. I also have Blink cameras at my front and back doors anyway because I am a techy and I like various smart-home devices. So, bottom line, my repaired iPhone 7 Plus was never delivered to my house.Starting the week of 7/27, I have called into your store twice a week and you have a real customer service issue beyond just my missing phone. The first two people I spoke with seemed skeptical that I did not have my phone and each said that they would find the tracking number and call me back with it by the next day. I never received a phone call from either person and no tracking number was provided. The following week, the person I spoke with told me that he understood how frustrated I must be to not have my phone and, again, told me that he would look into the issue and call me back with a UPS Tracking number. In my opinion and also evidenced by his lack of follow-up, he sounded patronizing and not really concerned. At no juncture did I ever feel like anyone actually cared about me or my lost phone. They treated me dismissively for at least the first 2-3 weeks that I called in (7/29 - 8/12) and as if I was the issue for inquiring after my phone. With that said, I persevered and even with my very busy life, I managed to call into the store again last week on Tuesday 8/18. I spoke with Nikki (first time I talked to her, so I am not trying to pin this on her) and she told me that phones were shipped from the Falls Church location and that she would investigate and get back to me with a tracking number. I wanted to wait a couple of days for her to investigate, but I never heard back. I am very busy with my small business and as a single parent, so I did not call back in until this morning (8/25). I spoke with Avery (first time I spoke with her) and she told me that my phone had been misplaced and that she needed to talk with the manager on duty. She spoke with him and got back on the phone with me to offer me a new device. I told her that was a great offer, but that the phone I sent in was very special to me and had some content on it that I still wanted. Basically, a new device is not what I want - I want the phone that I sent in. I realize that if my phone is truly lost that may not be possible, but I ended the phone call crying because of my lost phone/content (yes, I know that all content should be backed up to the cloud, but small amounts were not for reasons I wont bore you with) and I got your email address.At this juncture, I wish that I had not trusted my iphone 7 Plus to your store. I feel ignored, lied to (promises of call backs and UPS tracking numbers), and also disrespected (treated as if my time is not valuable and as if my requests for my phone were a burden). During this entire experience, I have never received any phone call or follow-up from your staff (other than the initial call to get the repair authorized).I sent my phone to you via your website/UPS process on 7/15 and it is 8/25 and I still do not have my repaired phone (that I was charged for). Honestly, I dont remember the last time I was treated so shabbily and with such disregard - when I also paid money for a service that I never received. Please let me know how you intend to address this problem.

At the park with my kids when someone sat on my phone and completely shattered my screen. I took my phone to uBreakiFix the next day. Danny was very helpful in taking my order and informed me that I can pick up the phone in one hour. I was surprised at the speed. When I returned to pick up the phone, Nathaniel was very helpful, both gentlemen provided excellent customer service. I will definitely use them again and totally recommend them.

Took my Nexus 6p there for a battery replacement, the staff there was extremely knowledgeable of the Nexus 6p battery issues and the store manager was actually in the process of ordering extra batteries when I arrived so it appeared that theyve done the replacement before. They gave me an estimate of an hour for the supplies to come in and the repair to be finished. They emailed me at exactly an hour and let me know my phone was ready for pickup. I gave my phone an inspection after the repair and it looked flawless, and they definitely replaced the battery as my screen on time went from 1hr to 3-4hrs easily! Will definitely use again.

Youll only see one tech at a time but theyll call during the process (provided you have an additional phone to be contacted through) to let you know whats going on, next steps, and the price, if different from what they originally thought was the problem.A very smooth process and a quick fix for my Google Pixel XL.Also located next to a Dunkin Donuts, Fridays, a Chinese slot, and Potbellys for places to go while they fix your phone.
