Our family of four rented bikes from Todd, the owner, on a whim to do a ride out to Mount Vernon, and we had a blast! Todd was absolutely fantastic; not only did he do an excellent job educating us on using his bikes, but he also gave us some great tips for our trip. We highly recommend Pedego of Alexandria. Note, our child was under 14, and so we got a two-seater Tandem, and we had no problems at all.

Family Rental - Rented four bikes for a ride to Mt Vernon. Staff was very helpful and friendly in getting us set-up and instructions on how to use the bikes. Equipment was all in great shape. Made it a very pleasant and enjoyable experience.

We rented the two electric bikes from the Pedego bikes in Bethesda on the July 03rd.The bikes were well maintained, easy to use and very very comfortable to ride. We rode 15 miles on the capital crescent trail and thoroughly enjoyed riding these bikes. P.S. : The owners were the best and very sweet! Highly recommend renting from them if you are in Washington D.C.

I cant say enough about Pedego Alexandria and the owner Todd. We drove 3 hours and passed by 2 other Pedego stores to go to Alexandria to purchase my new 24 Interceptor. Ive owned a Pegego for 7 years so I didnt need to be sold on the brand itself. What did get my business was the level of respect I received as a customer. Other stores seemed like they just wanted to get off the phone as soon as they could because there is a shortage of new bikes, which is pretty much all the information I got, were out right now, check back around October or November. Todd, on the other hand, gave me the answers that helped me decide what to do. He was honest, helpful, sincere and he even used my name during our several phone conversations. Being recognized by name is very reassuring and it makes you feel appreciated. Thank you Todd, for your outstanding customer service and commitment to your products and customers.

He helped us work through what we thought we wanted vs what will work for us and what we should have on the bikes. He asked us a lot questions about how we intend to use them and used our answers to show us options that will work for us.

Well, is it Todd to make Pedego great or vice versa I dont know, but I can say for the whole experience of buying, assembling and first day of the ride, Bike did what exactly Todd had promised. Nice and smooth ride, safe and secure. Hands down!

Todd at Pedego Alexandria was very helpful. I looked at bikes several times over a few months. I test rode several bikes and decided on the Element. When I was ready to buy, Todd talked to me about the bikes features, installed my upgrades and had the bike ready and waiting. I love the bike and am very happy with my purchase. I am also very happy with the customer service and no pressure sales I experienced.

Fantastic experience. Stopped in just to have a look. Talked to two owners who had stopped by for minor adjustments. They were so enthused about the Pedego Bikes i stayed to talk to the owner who suggested a test ride. After a quick, thorough review of operation of a Boomerang Model i rode it for 15 minutes over flat streets, up and down hills using the Motor Assist came back to the shop and purchased one. Having a ball riding it, over 150 miles in 3 weeks. A fabulous bike, mechanically very smooth ride.

The three of us rented electric bikes to bike down to Mt. Vernon estate. The bikes were easy to use and a ton of fun! Our guide gave us great orientation to bikes and we were up and running in a jiffy. Highly recommend!

If I could give this experience more stars I would! A group of 10 people from my office rented bikes for a few hours to see all the DC sites and monuments. I was a bit nervous at first, but Todd gave a great overview of what to expect and it took one block for us to all get the hang of the bikes. This is a GREAT socially distanced way to spend time with people, get some fresh air & exercise, and enjoy the city while its still empty! I cannot recommend Todd and his team enough!

I have been here twice now, and both times have been an absolute blast. There are two routes, one into Mount Vernon, which is more scenic and has some hiking trails that you pass through, or the outskirts of DC. You’ll be pedaling next to the water, see planes flying overhead, the Washington Monument, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, the Pentagon, but all from a distance. Highly recommend to any number of people of all ages. Todd is a great guy to work with, super personable, down to earth, energetic, friendly, helpful, all of the above. Highly recommend 10/10

Todd, the owner of Pedego Alexandria, was super-helpful throughout the purchasing process and in servicing the bike for the first time. He also has provided some superb tips and advice. We had a great experience riding to Mt. Vernon on a tandem electric bike. We had previously ridden standard bikes to Mt. Vernon but found the electric bikes to be much more fun - plus we had more energy and all around better spirits at the end of the ride. Would hundred percent rent again! Helps that the shop owner and staff were friendly and courteous - they took time to make sure we felt comfortable and confident with the bike before heading out on the trail.

Everyone there is helpful and friendly. The bikes are fast and the prices are very affordable. When I come back to dc for vacation next year Ill be stopping in 2 or 3 times at least

I love this place. Todd, the owner, is very knowledgeable and patiently answered all of my questions (and I had many!). Never once did I feel pressured to buy a bike, not even after I test rode 3 bikes. I did buy a bike, because it’s a good bike and I liked how it rode. I bought from Todd, because he made me feel like a friend rather than a customer.

Wow! I had a terrific Fathers Day when my daughter bought our family bike rental from Pedego. Our riding experience was fantastic and the crew are so helpful. We rode to Georgetown and back and had a blast. Well recommend this to anyone who wants to see D.C. in a new way.

I can’t recommend this shop more!I bought my bike (a Ridge Rider + urban warrior modifications) a month ago and I’ve been using it as a car replacement. I love that it runs on about ten cents worth of electricity instead of gasoline, and I no longer need to pay for parking or spend valuable time stuck in Alexandria traffic. And, I have so much fun riding my bike around town. I’m about to take my bike on a trip to Virginia Beach to visit family, and we’re planning a family trail ride with members aging from 1 1/2 to 60 years. I love that we can all have something fun and active to do outside together.I’m so happy that this shop is in Alexandria!! My Pedego has really opened up a fun new world to me.

Pedego Bikes is an e-bike rental and shop in a historic building in Old Town in Alexandria, VA. The owner, Todd, was a lobbyist for years until he read about the e-bike trend in Inc Magazine. He left his job to start Pedego Bikes so he could smile at work. He hasnt looked back since.He opened his shop in a building that used to be the bakery that supplied D.C. with bread. Now the building provides tourists and locals with one of the best ways to explore the area.A group of friends and I were invited to take a tour on the e-bikes of Old Town and we had a blast! The staff give you a quick tutorial of the bikes. They are easy to use and even come with a place to charge your phone (if you bring the cord). Since they are e-bikes, you can go at your own pace. Pedal hard or not at all- your choice!The staff are so friendly and their tours leave you loving the area even more. I highly recommend Pedego!

Todd is great. I work in Old Town and moved a few miles away and decided to start biking to work. He let me test drive a bike for an hour and was able to see what the commute was like. It was the best bike ride I ever had! I purchased a commuter bike and am loving it. The breaks were a bit squeky so I dropped by the store and Todd fixed those right up for me. If you live in or around Old Town and want to purchase an electric bike this is the place for you. He also does rentals if you want to take a trip to Mt. Vernon .

Late last year I donated my manual bicycle to Goodwill when I realized I had more negative things to say about it than positive. I even declared “I’m just not a bike person”. I don’t have a ton of experience riding – I always found myself in the wrong gear, the brakes squealed, the pedal teeth always managed to painfully scrape and gnaw into the back of my calves – I was done – it just wasn’t fun.Then last weekend I took a test ride on a few Pedego bikes in Alexandria, VA. Todd and Troy were enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and provided info without any pressure to buy. On the first test run I felt the pedal assist kick in – I thought, oh I get how this works - pretty simple— and wow! The next day we came back for a second test. The guys carefully answered all my rookie questions so that I understood how the bike worked and was comfortable with everything. On the next test ride I realized I could actually enjoy the scenery instead of worrying about the hills, the wind, what gear to be in, or if my legs would give out. Hey! I AM a bike person after all! Sold! They had the City Cruiser in the color I wanted in stock. Todd carefully went through all the features and answered all my questions before I rode it home. I feel confident Pedego Alexandria will support me and the bike for years with any questions, concerns, and tune-ups. The whole experience was stress-free and fun. These bikes are fun! Had a great time biking to Mount Vernon! Was new to the e-bike thing, it was really easy to ride. Bike shop staff are super nice and informative. Advice: if you’re on the fence about this, just do it! You will not regret it!

Great bike shop in old town. Todd was knowledge about the various bikes and very friendly. Very accommodating despite the fact that I came a little over an hour before the shop closes.

The staff was excellent in sizing the bike and seat height and explaining how to the use the bike and what to expect. They also provide a trail map and directions how to get there. But-guess what! You dont have to stay on any trail. You take the bike where you want to go. It is not an escorted tour. There are so many historic and vibrant spots in the area. Go to the waterfront or to the Torpedo Factory, shop or eat at a fine restaurant. Go where ever you want. They even provide a lock and chain so you can enjoy the places and not just see them from the outside. It is a 90 degree day today and I appreciated that they sold nice cold drinks at a reasonable price and had a restroom I could use after the ride. My hubby cant pedal hills and I am sensitive to the heat, pooping out quickly if it is hot out. This allowed us to enjoy biking: all of the fun without the stress. This ride convinced me we need ebikes if we want to keep biking much longer.

We sought to learn and tryout ebikes. The intro was excellent and we totally enjoyed the test ride. Were going to rent bikes and take a tour since were still making up our minds.

What a wonderful shop! Todd is extremely generous with this time and expertise. He quickly sleuthed out the issue with my electric bike to get me back out in the sunshine. They have rentals and sales (once you try one, you will want one!!)

Todd really knows his bikes. I enjoyed my ride to evaluate the both the City Commuter rear wheel drive and City Commuter mid drive. Both are quality products. I intend to buy the Mid drive bike. I like the fact that there is a big Pedego community of owners and riders.

A great team bonding process as a couple :) The motor assist was appreciated on the hills traveling to Mt. Vernon - which was a beautiful trail following along the Potomac River.The experience was great...looking forward to our next visit!

I brought in my electric bike from another manufacturer because the gear sensor wasnt working. Todd did a spectacular job of getting to know the bike (even though it wasnt a Pedego), fixing the gear sensor, fixing the brakes, and taking it for a test drive to ensure everything was in working order. Absolutely outstanding communication, customer service, and attitude. This place is the real deal and fits Old Town perfectly.

I would highly recommend that EVERYONE go here to rent their bicycles! Their products were amazingly maintained, worked great and Todd was extremely pleasant and friendly. Plus the experience itself was amazing, literally fun for all ages (11 through 50+).

Todd was superb- knowledgeable tour guide, friendly, enthusiastic, made sure we were all comfortable and safe on the bikes. This ebike cherry blossom tour was the highlight of our Spring Break- 2 adults (40s and 60s) and 2 kids (10 and 7)on the back of our bikes. The bikes were easy to get used to and made the 3 hour tour 100% enjoyable. I highly recommend this tour to anyone who loves to explore on a bike and appreciates the comfort of some electric support for the hills!! All of Todd’s recommendations were also spot on- he’s a local gem!!

Todd was the HOMIE. We had a great time riding the bikes through the beautiful town of Alexandria. We went pretty far in just one hour and it was the highlight of our trip. Todd was so nice and made sure we knew where to go and how to use the bikes. I only wish I could give them more stars.

I had a flat tube on a ebike of a different brand. I called around to about 30 different bike shops in the DC area and Pedego Alexandria was the only shop I could find with the size tube I needed. I showed up at Pedego Alexandria 20 minutes before they were scheduled to close for the day. Todd helped me change my tube, showed me how to do it myself, and fixed a couple other things on my bike that need to be adjusted. He did this all for an extremely reasonable price. He spent about an hour with me and by the time I left, the store had been closed for 40 minutes. He also showed me around the different Pedego bikes. I am definitely going to be looking at Pedego Alexandria for my next ebike.

Todd & staff could not have been nicer. He showed us how to use the bikes and made sure we were comfortable before sending us on our way. We encountered an issue while we were out and the staff rushed to our aid very quickly. We had a blast and would recommend Pedego to anyone whos out for a day of fun.

If you haven’t tried a Pedego bike yet you need to try one! Today my wife and I rented a tandem bike with a child carrier on the back for our daughter and took a ride over to the national harbor. The trip only took 22 mins and by the time we got there we didn’t even break a sweat thanks to the electric motor. Todd, the owner, will get you all set up and ready to ride. There are a ton of different bikes to choose from. The battery on the bike was still full even after rising for 2+ hours on full assist. The bikes are in great condition! We will be back! This is a great way to explore area!

Incredible service. Like having a knowledgeable relative coming with you to make the best choices. Since this is a huge investment, that is a critical factor for me. So worthwhile to have a local shop that you will be working with in this type of purchase.They are even going to spray paint my fenders for me, since the color choices for my wheel size were more limited.Don’t forget to do some test rides one your main choices.

Unexpectedly great time. I stopped by with my girlfriend after seeing various bikes around town, and Todd made sure we were up and ready to go in minutes. I love riding, but had never been on an electric before. The experience was unreal... hills, stop signs, no longer taxing at all. Just start peddling and the bike takes care of everything. Todd Ketch at Pedego Alexandria, VA, spent a long time with me describing the different Pedego models and helped me to select the one that would be perfect. He let me test ride the ebike and gave me instructions on how to use the throttle, pedal assist and how to get the bike moving, which is much different than riding a regular bike. He doesnt pressure customers to buy the bike right away. It was a pleasant buying experience and I have confidence that Todd will be available in the future to support me. However, most important is that Pedego is a well made ebike and fun to ride..

I highly highly highly recommend the rental of a Pedego electric bicycle from 210 North Lee Street, Alexandria VA. If you are in or close by Alexandria VA have some fun and rent one of these bikes. OMGosh these bikes are great. I rented two different bikes two days in a row, I got late start the first day but I was able to easily ride from Alexandria to the White House anf back to Alexandria in less than 90 minutes. So many great things to say: fantastic experience. Todd Ketch, his daughter and brother were all so helpful and made my rides so enjoyable. They provided current up to date information on the nearby bike trails I was able ride up visit the national monuments much faster than using the metro. Cherry Blossom tour was fun and we got to see all the best parts of the tidal basin. We saw everything! You cant get the experience on foot or on a bus.

We had a great experience riding Pedego bikes out of the Old Town Alexandria shop this afternoon. In no time, Todd got us set up, showed us how to use the bikes, and gave us great directions, including a tip on where to go to enjoy the cherry blossoms without having to fight the crowds of tourists around the Tidal Basin. My wife appreciated the ebikes assist, especially the throttle feature, since she is only five months post-knee replacement surgery. And I felt awesome effortlessly knifing through the stiff wind coming up the Potomac, while die-hard road bikers were slogging along head down into the face of it. I was pleasantly surprised at the battery capacity as well. We did about 20 miles total and only lost one bar out of five. The City Commuter I was on also has a setting where you can pedal without assistance, but use the throttle as needed -- ideal for tight spaces and heavy traffic, which we definitely encountered on the 14th Street bridge. Looking forward to our next Pedego ride.
