I have been coming here since 2017. K&B Auto Service is the best Auto Servicing Shop in Alexandria, hands down. The customer service is unmatched, and they make you feel like family! They are very genuine with getting the best deal for you and have extremely fair pricing. The quality of service is top notch! Every time I get a service done here, I feel great knowing that I was taken care of.

Tom at K&B Auto was recommended to me after I went to a different automotive shop where I felt they were not being honest with me about what my vehicle needed. So far, I’ve had positive experiences. Place has good WiFi, so I can work while waiting. They don’t take appointments; it’s first come, first serve.First time I went was the dealership I went to told me I needed a lot of work done. Went here for a second opinion, they did the work at a better price and told me I didn’t need my rear rotor replaced like the dealership said.Second time I came in was for an oil change. Quick and easy. No complaints.

Tom and his team are the best mechanics in the area. Ive been going to K&B for years and they have taken great care of my car. The service is always top notch and their prices are fairly reasonable than other mechanics in the area. I had taken my car to another mechanic to have the AC recharged but something went wrong and the AC compressor fell apart. The other mechanic said it would take a week to get the part and replace it so I called K&B and they fixed it for me the same day. I saved hundreds of dollars so thank you Tom!

Just as expected from reading the reviews. Phenomenal customer service from Tom and when I pulled up at 7:30 a.m. the mechanics had their sleeves rolled up “smiling”, ready to work! The work was fast, efficient and professional and the price quite reasonable. I found my mechanic home! God bless this family business.

BRO WHAT!?!?!?Either Tom is a really good actor, or hes a genuinely nice person; either way, I am 100% satisfied with his shops service. You ever go into mechanic shop and you feel worried that theyll try to up-charge you or scam you in some way?....No? cause I do. But that feeling completely left the door the moment I started conversing with Tom. Hes informative, patient, nice, and tries to give you the best alternative/price. After getting my A/C compressor replaced, he informed me of other potential issues within my vehicle, but didnt pressure me into getting it fixed right then and there, but rather to just consider him for whenever I do decide to get it looked at. I left the place even more excited to come back knowing that Ill receive such great service.

I called later in the day today asking for estimates for new brakes and rotors and Tom asked me to come by so he could take a look before quoting me. I have been to this shop several times. Everytime I go, everyone is so friendly and helpful. I have gone there after the dealership gave me a long list of items that needed to be fixed, but when K&B took a look only a fraction of the list are actual things that need to be replaced/fixed. For your everyday repairs and maintenance K&B is the best with excellent service and unbeatable prices.

I went to K&B for a clutch replacement after calling a number of competitors in the area. Some competitors tried to sell me more services than I needed but K&B was the only garage that gave me an honest diagnosis. Im so glad I found this shop and will be back for future car needs.

Hands down the best mechanic in the area and that I have ever been to in my lifetime. I was referred by a friend after having horrendous service at wygul. I can’t thank the friend enough for recommending this place to me. I have brought my Nissan Murano in two different times after having major issues. The first time it was fixed I said I was going to leave a 5 star review as soon as I got home. They said said, “no, wait a week or two and see how it drives first before you leave a review so it’s an honest review.” When someone says something like that, you know you’re in the right place. So sweet! The second time, I had my car towed there at night when it broke down on the road, and Tom called me 30 minutes before opening with a diagnostic and said, “I see you dropped your car off last night after hours and I took a look at it and it’s your radiator. It cracked and there were no fluids. Could have blown the engine. It’s a good thing you didn’t drive on it and got it towed here. Very smart.” I thought it was my transmission and was expecting to pay a few thousand dollars and was so happy it wasn’t. He gave me a run down of the parts needing to be ordered, when they would arrive and how long it would take to fix. Got my car back that day and didn’t even come close to killing my bank account. I gave him a $3000 dollar itemized list that wygul gave me and asked him if any of the items on the list needed to be repaired and Tom said no. All of that is fine and doesn’t need to be repaired. He said you can’t trust those people, they just want money. Haha he is sooo right! The service is outstanding. Very honest and trustworthy people. They don’t nickel and dime you or give you a list of $3000.00 dollars every time you bring your car in for repairs. They fix exactly what’s wrong with the car at a very affordable price and you’re on your way. They give you honest quotes ahead of time and get your car back in a jiffy. They know all of their customers by name and what car you drive. When I told them Brendon recommended me to them, he said oh yeah, yeah he drives a CRV right? Yup! He does. I recommend this place to everyone I know because it’s very hard and rare to find a mechanic like this. Thank you K&B for the outstanding customer service and everything you have done for my car. They did a great job! Went in for an oil change. The guy at the front desk was very nice and understanding about my car being 15 years old and only wanting required maintenance. They were also very fast with their service only took about 20-30 mins to have the oil changed. I would HIGHLY recommend this place to anyone in the area. They also dont pressure with any extra costs or sales.

Honest service and friendly staffs

During a recent visit for oil change, I asked what else they look at during the process. The person who seemed to be the manager indicated they check and level fluids. Many others also do the same thing. However, when I got back home and checked the fluid level, I found no difference at all fluids. I was very disappointed at this given the warm welcome. Additionally, their price for only changing front pads was four times higher. This was discouraging.

K&B are the greatest mechanic in the DMV. Honest, professional, timely and totally genuine! You know what you are getting and that is premier service at a reasonable price. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Whenever anyone asks me where to go, I always say K&B without hesitation. Tom and the team always take care of you and strive to work around your schedule to provide timely repairs. Ive had oil changes done, alternator repairs, flushes, filter changes etc and all services have always been impeccable. I am a K&B lifer and you should be too!

I am a loyal customer for life. I’ve never met such an honest and fair mechanic shop.. Didn’t even think they existed until I came here. This place is worth it, trust me. Fair prices and you know that they aren’t “fluffing” you with any unnecessary add-on.

Called and asked if they have any techs that can get diameter measurements for me, they lady on the phone said sorry we dont have that. Figuring she had no clue what I was talking about I said you dont have techs that can get a diameter measurement?, She told me to hold on and shell ask, spoke to some dude in spanish, too faint for me to hear, but came back and said yea sorry, we dont have that here, so I responded still sure she had no clue what I was talking about you dont have what exactly? She then started yelling at me, we dont do, we dont do whatever youre asking for we dont do and then hung up. So, I dunno about everyone else, but this was COMPLETELY unprofessional and doesnt seem like they really know what theyre talking about. So, Ill never be doing business here.

A truly honest auto body shop! I am a young woman who is clearly not mechanically savvy but each time Ive come here theyve provided their honest recommendation (even at the expense of hundreds of dollars towards new parts/labor that would benefit their shop). They hold integrity to the highest esteem and will continue to have my business for as long as I am in the area!

Tom and the staff at K&B Auto were absolute life savers for me. My car started making a weird noise so I took it into a shop close to my house and they quoted me $1200 to fix the “emergency problems.” Something seemed weird about it so I started looking for a new shop & that’s when I found this gem. K&B Auto fixed the problem for $25 — TWENTY FIVE DOLLARS!!! And my car was ready within an hour! I’ll never take my car anywhere else & neither should you. Great customer service, super straightforward, and genuinely such nice people.

It is so great to find an honest auto mechanic! Ive had the local Honda dealership tell me that I need new brakes, even though I had 60 percent of the brake pads remaining. I had enough! Thank goodness I found Tom at K&B. You can count on his honesty and top-notch service. 5-stars, indeed.

Very honest professional service. I went with my car for a steering stiff hard to turn issue. Didn’t know what to expect as I am not knowledgeable about car as much. Tom in the front desk came checked it out and right away hr told me it is a very common issue with infinity and all I need is some clean up wd40 to loosen up, Cost me $30 dollar. Where I know if it was some other crook Machanic shop they would fake it to do a diagnostic then charge me for it and make me pay for unnecessary work. From now on I will always be going to K&B auto services, they earned my trust/respect.

Went in to get my brake pads replaced. The price was very reasonable and the same as I was quoted over the phone. Daniel was super helpful and nice, as well as the owner Tom. Tom is the owner and is the best mechanic and honest business man Ive ever seen. I live in Woodbridge and when my cars break I send them to k&b every time. Even if I have to tow them there. A few times Ive taken my car to closer mechanics for an estimate, and Ill bring it to k&b last. Tom will 10 times out of 10 be cheaper and give the correct diagnosis. K&b is the only place Ill bring my cars.

Wow! K&B is the best auto shop I have been in the area. I needed some work done on my Honda and was quoted at least $500 by three other shops. K&B showed me what the issue was and instead of replacing the whole strut, said only one piece of it needed to be replaced. It cost me $230! Now only was the savings great but they got me in and out in less than 2 hours. I will not go anywhere else in the future.

Trustworthy mechanics! Ive taken in two different vehicles and received great service without being hassled to get additional work done, They work quickly, and have WiFi and coffee/tea/water in the waiting area. They even have a few desks set up if you want to use a laptop.

Excellent service! I moved to Virginia from California and needed brake repair on my Tundra. After taking to other mechanics in the area who couldn’t fix the issue of the rear brakes locking up, Tom was able to identify the problem and have my Tundra ready the same day. I first started going to Tom’s K&B Auto when I moved to Alexandria in 2009. At the time I had a Toyota 4Runner and my wife had a Toyota Corolla. Even though initially we wanted affordable costs, it was the efficient and honest service that kept us coming back. Needless to say, we always consult Tom for any estimates on behalf of family and friends not living in the area.

Tom at K&B provided me with not just excellent auto repair service but also excellent customer service, he cared more about providing good, honest service instead of squeezing every nickel and dime out of customers.Tom was able to diagnose the 3 urgent things that my car absolutely needed to get fixed, he even knew right away that my converter heat shielded needed to be reclamped after I described the noise it was making - I had previously asked Merchants Tire about the noise the heat shield was making and they said it wasnt anything serious but would cost more money to identify and fix whatever it was, needless to say that was not an answer I was happy with. Thankfully K&B Auto is considerably more knowledgeable and experienced then Merchants Tire). Additionally I was provided advice on the best way to successfully pass state inspection. Instead of attempting to fix the numerous little things every older car has, Tom suggested that I get the inspection done first, if it passed great, if it doesnt then bring the car back and address the items that caused it to fail the inspection.K&B Auto picked up a loyal repeat customer today thanks their excellent auto and customer service. I would highly recommend this auto shop to anyone.

I cant say enough about Tom and the shop. They are honest mechanics who do amazing work. They got my Mazda in same day and got it all primed and ready to go for my trip to FL. On a separate occasion they were kind enough to speak to me over he phone about an issue and guide me about common problems related to that issue I was having with the car in order to save some money and do it myself. Just left K & B Auto. They were wonderful! Oil change only took about 30 mins and they noticed there was a leak in one of the front tires due to a dent in the rim. They were nice enough to hammer the dent out and check to see if the leak was fixed. It was definitely appreciated. I definutely will be back for any future needs. Thanks!
