As a kitchen and bathroom contractor Ive been purchasing from Better Appliance for over 6 years. Great customer service and equipment. Never an issue. I recommend them to anyone.

We really tested this companys patience and commitment to customer service and they passed with an A+. We bought three appliances at one time and when we started to have problems with the microwave and refrigerator, we were pleasantly surprised that this company responded quickly. First the microwave broke and it was replaced, then the new one broke again and it was replaced. All this occured within two weeks. Hammad was very responsive and took care of scheduling. The repair person was very professional when the came both times.Next, the refrigerator did not maintain temperature and the repair person replaced the temperature sensor first. This did not work and after a few more weeks the control board was replaced but that did not fix the problem. After testing the refrigerator for multiple weeks It was found to still not be maintaining proper temperature. Hammad replaced the refrigerator with a newer model and it now works perfectly and we are very pleased with the final result. Hammad was very good to work with this entire time. With this many problems you might wonder if it was worth it and we think it was. Hammad offered us a great price and we got to know him and his repair team fairly well. They are good people.Some tips on getting service is to text Hammad and text him again if he does not respond within a day. Also, we found it useful to visit the store in person to discuss the refrigerator issue and choose a new replacement.

Excellent service. Washing machine is very clean. So far it works like a brand new machine. Very pleased with the service I received from the first phone call until I received my machine. If you’re on a budget, then please call this company and get the appliance you need.👍🏾

Visited their store in Marlow Heights MD, they did not have the refrigerator I wanted for my rental. I asked the manager to call their Alexandria store before I make the trip. I was fortunate to get the fridge I wanted and arrangements made for delivery and installation at a date and time that is convenient for my tenant. Thus is my second time purchasing from this small business and everything so far has been great.

We’re planning for a kitchen remodel but not ready and our old oven died. We needed a short term fix because we’re changing the layout. Good luck with Craig’s List finding something. I was referred here by a tech who came to repair my old fridge. While it was possible, parts for my 15 yr old fridge weren’t in stock and they didn’t expect them soon. I tried buying new fridge, but manufacturing has covid too. Long wait til me and my refrigerator did not work. So, I called Better Appliance. Told them my problem, gave them the dimensions and within a few hours they were back to me with options. I went to see the fridge in the Alexandria store. I must say I was underwhelmed by the presentation but the service received from this store was exceptional. They quickly responded to all texts, the price was fantastic and while not necessarily thrilled at the store, the refrigerator I got is perfect. It was delivered the next day, something no other retailer in town could do, they took the old one away, were polite and helpful. I just needed a refrigerator for right now, but it’s really just what I want so I’m keeping my $1800 and sticking with this one until it breaks down. Note, it does have scratches on one side but not important. It runs well. My food is fresh, and the service was excellent. Hopefully I won’t need to shop here again, but I’ve already recommended them to friends. Thank guys!

I purchased two sets of washers and dryer’s with this company. My washer machine flooded due to the machine cycle to fill water would not Cut off. I called and spoke to a employee name Youssef and he ensured me that some one was going to come out to repair or worst case replaced the machine. He stated that he had to find a driver to complete the task. A whole week went by and no one showed up or respond to communicate with a update. I text this company called even left a video on there cell phone and still no response they send me straight to voicemail. We are in a pandemic and not only is my work been cut of hours but I spend my last money that I had to purchase what supposed to be great products. I called this company during the time the machine is under covered warranty. At this point I’m about to advise anyone not to shop there because they don’t conduct good business or shop at your own risk! My house has suffered Severe water damage. I should have just went to Home Depot or Lowe’s it’s the same price. Lesson learned

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!Customer service is great as long as you dont have a problem! Bought a stove and THE VERY FIRST TIME I USED IT, IT STOPPED WORKING. I picked it up from another of their locations (it arrived 4 days after promised) & I had a warranty. But who knew I would have to take the stove back for repairs??? That meant paying someone to return it & then pick it up when it was ready! After researching the error code, I found 2 possible solutions, 1 cheap and 1 expensive. Figuring they probably took the cheap route before selling it, I couldnt take the chance of them doing the same thing again only to get it home to fail again and incurring yet another delivery fee. By the time Id pay someone for delivery fees I couldve just purchased a brand new stove!🤯 They gave me the runaround for days! The manager, Ahmed didnt even have the decency to talk to me. I was told on several occasions that he was with a customer and would call me back, well HELLO!! IM A CUSTOMER TOO!!! And to this day he NEVER called me back!!! I was diligent for days but had to let it go due to death in the family. I had family staying and couldnt even boil them an egg for breakfast! Not to mention $$ that had been spent to cook for family that had to be respent on carryout. I told them my situation but did they care or have the slightest bit of compassion? ABSOLUTELY NOT! Lambs when making the sale, these guys are heartless wolves if you have a problem. THIS STOVE WAS DEFECTIVE WHEN I PURCHASED IT. No one should have to pay for them to come out when the appliance fails from DAY 1!!! I was so exhausted behind this that Im using another resource to get it fixed. Its costing me more money but alot less than transporting back & forth and playing games with these jokers. Molinas Used Appliances gives great service! Used them in the past. Had an issue & they came out to fix in a couple days. They even brought a replacement in case they had to take it back to the shop. LESSON LEARNED!!UPDATE 6/30/2020: Just for the record, they did NOT offer me a replacement or refund nor are they sorry for my inconvenience. The stove was broken when they sold it to me. The problem would not have happened during delivery. I spent $70 to fix the stove so it probably wouldve cost them half to do it. Its really sad that a satisfied customer is not worth $35 to them especially since I wouldve been a repeat customer. Their loss!!!UPDATE 8/27/2020: Weve come full circle. I continued to have problems with the stove so I went to the store and spoke with the manager, Sharaz. I told him what happened and asked for a refund. He agreed. Upon return of the stove, he issued a credit to my card. All things considered, thats the best that could be done at this point so Im satisfied.

Nice products and kind customer service, but horrible delivery. They give you a delivery date but no time. They say someone will give you a call.....I have waited all day for someone to call me to give me a drop off time. Called the delivery person and no answer. It is now 7pm and I still don’t know what time or if they are even coming. Terrible communication.

I purchased a washer and dryer set from this location. The salesperson was very helpful, and polite. He really made my shopping experience a wonderful one! The delivery guys brought my set the next day. But I was informed by the delivery guy that I needed the hose for the washer. And the vent hose for the dryer. Which apparently wasnt provided according to him. So I called the salesperson. And he handled that right away. I have had nothing but a positive experience thus far!

I was leary of buying a freezer from a facebook ad but everything went very smoothly and the freezer was delivered the next day and it was brand new! Also at a reasonable price. Would definitely buy from Better Appliance again!

I used better appliances multiple times, for multiple properties and they have not failed me yet. The customer service was quick and straight to the point just the way I like it.If you want to find appliances that are the design you desire and within your budget this is the place to go I don’t think I will ever shop anywhere else for appliances ever again.

Bought some appliances from this store. Manager told me they are new. Paid in full and waited for delivery. Promise to be deliver on Thursday. Waited all day, once I called and find out delivery truck not working. TheyChanged day and time to Sat. 11-3p, waited called to get new time 3-6p. waited again and find out 6-9p. Called once again and find out now it will come around 10-11pm. Delivery guy show up at 12.25am and finish it at 1.10am. That was not a regular delivey time. I never had such a worse delivery in my life time.Items I bought and was deliverd were dented. When I complained to the manager, he said, this the way we sell it and we remove orignal compay ID TAGS from the applainces and put our own tags on.Customer can not call manufectures to get help since the fake ID TAGS are on the appliances.When we asked for the trouble and terrible wait for delivery. Store manager was not willing to compensate. Only offer delivery fee waived. What great customer service.

I visited the Temple Hills location. Mamun, ( the sales rep who assisted me with my purchase), was polite, professional, and patient. He answered all my questions and did not pressure me into a purchase. I visited the store for a refrigerator and ended up purchasing both a refrigerator and dishwasher, both new, high end and in good physical condition. This was a pleasant experience .

I ordered a refrigerator from Better Appliance in Alexandria with a dented handle and a broken drawer. I was assured they would order parts to replace the damaged pieces. Delivery was scheduled for yesterday morning between 8-12. Around 12 after the fridge didn’t arrive, I called every number I could find for Better Appliance and didn’t get an answer until I called the Maryland location. The gentleman there told me to call the Alexandria location. I told him there was no answer and asked him to call since they weren’t answering my calls. He got someone on the phone immediately. Then I was told the delivery person’s truck had broken down. No one called to let me know and I had changed my plans to be there to receive it. I was told it would be delivered the next day between 4-7. At 6:30pm today, I called to find out the status, and had to call the Maryland location again to get an answer. I asked him to call the Alexandria location. It was then I found out the delivery person was almost there. I told them the delivery man would need to wait and we would be there in 20 minutes. I was told he would not wait, though I had waited a total of seven hours for delivery of my fridge. We gave him the code to the lock box and he dropped off the fridge and left in under 20 minutes, before we could arrive to receive it in person. He did not leave the replacement parts I had paid for. I called to find out where the missing parts were and for a third time, I was only able to get an answer at the Maryland location. Finally I was told the replacement parts should be shipping to my house. I paid for them nine days ago, and feel that if I had ordered them myself, they would be here by now, but this company had offered to purchase them on my behalf, so I didn’t. I have no idea when my replacement parts will arrive. I would not recommend this company.

YMMV, but our experience was great. Sure, their storefront appears a bit shady and they can (most certainly) cleanup their shop to look more inviting, but the end result was a brand new refrigerator at a $600 discount simply because it had a slight dent in the back of the unit. The delivery was flawless (thanks Ned, the awesome delivery guy). Overall, a good experience. If one watches what one is buying, one can have a fantastic deal there.

Customer service needs great improvement. Return customer calls promptly, not 2 days later. Salesmen need more training to inform customers what is required for their technicians to connect the appliances they sell. The store rep, Ahmad, blames everything on the third party delivery company. Guess what? The business owner is responsible for his business dealings--from inventory, to sales, to delivery, to installation and most importantly, Customer Service!To Better Appliance: Do not reply and indicate there is no Ahmad at your store, that is the name given to me. Do not reply and indicate I was not told delivery company held accountable; Ahmad said he couldn’t find a reliable company in the DMV area as customers don’t want to pay for delivery as the “big box stores” deliver for free. Do not reply and give an excuse for not promptly returning customer phone calls; indicated they don’t open until 10 am and very busy with customers—returning calls is part of Customer Service. Any other excuse?

Great experience with Better Appliance in Alexandria. The LG refrigerator was new but had large cosmetic defect (dent). There was good communication upfront about the condition and the pricing - and because the replacement door was on backorder they offered an additional discount. Plus they went above and beyond helping me load & secure the appliance in my truck - in the cold and drizzling rain. A++

Best place to shop from, better than best buy ( as of my experience) . I made the purchase 2 months back so far excellent performance. Fridge have few dents that is on sides covered by wall. Their was missing parts of oven they delivered it next week without any question. I will differently recommend this place :)

I’ve bought 3 complete sets of appliances for my home plus rentals. They were either brand new or in excellent refurbished condition. I have not had one break, stop working or malfunction in 3 years since I bought the first set. I HIGHLY recommend Better Appliance for the smart and savvy consumer.

After setting up a call ahead with 30 minutes warning they decide if we don’t speak to you we can’t come. I have do not Disturb While Driving block on my phone so now they are not coming and their operator was rude and unhelpful. They suck stay far away!

I decided to take a chance on a refurb washer for a rental unit when Sears wanted $600 to replace a control board on a 10 year old washer.... Went to Better Appliance and then selected a stacked pair that ended up being too big to get up the narrow Old Town townhouse stairs, even for their genius/strongman/delivery dude, Ned. Ned took the first item back and the guys at the store found us the right unit in another warehouse that same day. Ned was there, bright and early the next morning with the correct unit and went above and beyond to get it installed and working properly. These guys were great to work with and Id definitely go back - but hope I dont have to.

I had good luck with purchasing four high end appliances from Better Appliance in Alexandria. The staff were very helpful and communication was mainly by text. I believe that they sell floor models from Lowes. I saved a ton of money, and time, and was able to have appliances that had features that I could not have afforded if I bought the appliances new.Buying used appliances is certainly a buyer beware business - all appliances should be carefully inspected. I bought a GE 24 washer and dryer - which was 5 years old but clean and works well. And a Frigidaire professional refrigerator and Bosch 800 series dishwasher - both floor models. Expect to save about half on the floor models.Delivery was fine except I forgot that the front door was narrow. The delivery guy had the tools to remove the front door.

Beware of Better Appliance. If the deal looks to good it may not be true. I bought a refrigerator for one of my rental units. The delivery man was 20 hours late. He did not have his electronic lifts to take it up the stairs so he said he would go around the corner to get a few “crack heads” to help him. When I said, “hell no you can’t bring drug addicts into my tenants home, he replied what did I have against crack heads”. He was furious about having to complete the delivery banging the refrigerator all the way up the stairs.That experience along with constant text messages and phone calls to make another deal, makes Better Appliance not worth saving a few hundred dollars to incur unforeseen headaches in the future. Buying an appliance from a store infers a relationship of trust of a good product, safe delivery and standing behind the product over time.Better Appliance doesn’t seem like a safe bet even for the price.....

The company and service is really aweful. Please read they store policy and do not purchase from them. They are HORRIBLE!!! After you make a purchase, if you get it on time, youre lucky. They charge you for delivery and trust me--you will not receive it on the day promised even if you wait at home all day, the next day, and the next day. The company will tell you that they dont handle deliveries although they hand your belongings over to a deliverer and charge you for it.Companies like them should go out of business, because they are thieves.

I purchased a stackable washer and dryer from Best Appliance on May 16. The appliances came in the same week and everything worked fine. About 2 weeks later the washer stopped working and it was still covered under the 30 days warranty. Best Appliance quickly replaced the washer at no charge a few days later. The washer was even an upgrade from what I originally purchased.

Impressive prices and great costumer service. I purchase a very nice refrigerator unfortunately the unit was not cooling as should. I contacted the guys at the store shortly. In no time they had several options of replacements to choose from to make sure my home was without interruption in service. I a few hours the delivery man which was very polite and extremely knowledgable. This other refrigerator is as cool as the north pole and super affordable. Lessons learn not because is a used appliance had to be expensive and risky transaction. This business proved me that in reality still reputable people willing to go the extra mile to gain a reputation and make sure that the costumer is satisfied. I seldom write a review but is well deserved and truly extend my appreciation to them because not just saved a tod of money but have a happy wife and a very cool refrigerator at a fraction of the cost.Thanks guys and wish you a good business in the future.

I purchased a fridge for $425 with a 30 day warranty on 22Mar15. They were always helpful and responsive. However, they were unwilling to do anything when the fridge stopped cooling within six months on the purchase. Of course, they werent obligated to since there was only a 30 day warranty, but I would have hoped for a significant discount on a replacement or repair since I had the fridge such a short period of time. I ended up buying a brand new fridge from Home Depot on 21Aug15 for $775 with a much better warranty, which I should have done in the first place. Used appliances may be better for a washer and dryer as opposed to fridges where the Freon may be leaking when you purchase it and you wont know till after 30 days.

My wife and I bought a whirlpool washer and dryer set on July 4th. The set comes with a year warranty from the manufacturer with the option to extend the warranty. Shiraz said it will be delivered between 12-4 on July 5th (the day after we bought the set). Rodney called 15 minutes prior to delivery and was at our house at 3pm on the 5th. They installed the new set, removed the old set and we couldnt be happier with product, sale or delivery from this company. Theyre easy to work with and a business that keeps their word.
