My first experience with this place was downright rude and unprofessional. I saw Dr. Tammy Sawyer and she refused to turn up my devices after I asked very politely several times. And Dr. Tammy even made jokes about my haircut saying that it looked like a birds nest. I thought her comments about my hair were hurtful and insensitive. I changed audiologists and started seeing Dr. Leah Fry and Dr. Fry has been an amazing and wonderful audiologist. Shes pleasant to be around and I can tell she truly cares about her patients. Dr. Fry has always gone out of her way to help and listen to what I have to say. Since I started seeing Dr. Fry I look forward to going to my visits and chatting with a pleasant person while I get my devices adjusted. As with the staff, the staff has always been helpful and kind, however it seems like every time I have an appointment I have to wait about 15 minutes past my appointment time in the waiting room. But at least the waiting room has comfortable chairs to sit on and drinks while you wait. Given my experiences with Tammy and some of the paperwork issues Id have to give this place 3 stars but Id definitely give Dr. Leah Fry a THOUSAND stars! If you choose this place, ask for Dr. Leah Fry, and you will get the best treatment services have to offer:)
Wonderful people they have done so much for my family member, comma the experiences Ive had there have been great God-bless you all.
I was treated with respect and professionalism by everyone I encountered. I was very impressed by Ryane who welcomed me to the office and guided me through the paperwork. Dr. Gentry impressed me by listening carefully as I explained my situation and needs. The doctor addressed all my concerns and I came away hearing at a much higher level than when I walked in.
Dr carol Clifford is the greatest audiologist in this town. She goes beyond most doctors to give you the best hearing possible. She has done so much good for me. I feel fortunate to have found her
Carol and her staff work hard to give me the best pair of devices that work with my life, making necessary adjustments even after 2 years. Every single person that I have encountered at this place is very friendly and professional. The Corrales office is very clean, nicely decorated and welcoming.
Dr Morgan Fry is A#1 in both his listening & assessment skills. I felt comfortable and relaxed almost immediately and he gave me pointers and excellent printouts for the simple exercises that I now do at home. I left my session feeling confident that I can improve my balance & control my BPPV.
We have been going to Albuquerque hearing and Balance for the last 6 years for my daughter. Tammy Sawyer and the entire team from finance to there front office are amazing. They go above and beyond to help with any of our daughters hearing needs. They make you feel like family. We are so grateful to have them on our team. I highly recommend them.
This is the premier hearing specialists office in Albuquerque! I have been coming here for years and from my experience they are absolutely the top in their field. Carol Clifford, the owner, is a subject matter expert and has a staff of experienced professionals who are the best in the city. They always go out of their way to address any issues or concerns that I might have. I especially enjoy the level of detail that they go to in their explanations and feedback. Everyone makes you feel welcome and are so friendly. It’s an excellent experience each and every time I have gone in.
Very pleasant place to have your hearing balance problems worked on. The people there are friendly and helpful. The technician are knowledgeable and make your feel very comfortable. I trust them and feel well cared for there.
Ive been to a couple of other hearing specialists - most unpleasant and unprofessional - so stepping into Albuquerque Hearing And Balance was like entering another world. Everything was different. No immediate hard-sell on hearing aids; lets find out what your issue is. What sounds are important to you? After seeing, in scientific graph format, just how much hearing loss I had, I walked out with a set of (arguably) the best hearing aids available and used them for 2+ weeks with no questions asked. It was mind boggling! The Oticon devices are amazingly unobtrusive (I did have some difficulty at first with fit, which Abq. H&B fixed promptly) and incredibly effective. Im still astonished at how much high-frequency sound Ive been missing for so long - what a change! I cant thank Carol Clifford and staff enough; a very pleasant experience.
Real nice people. I enjoy working with them.
Hands down, the most exemplary level of care and service I have ever experienced -- far exceeding expectations. Everyone Ive met at ABQ Hearing and Balance is wonderful. They were genuinely interested in helping me hear better and sensitive to my initial inflamed ear canals -- the result of less-than-tender care at another medical facility. Im spoiled now and will never go anywhere else for my hearing care.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Helped me a lot. Explained things to me during and after the testing. Listened to my concerns and needs.
Dr. Keerthana Velappan is an incredible audiologist and a dedicated professional! She made me feel welcome and comfortable given I had never before had an audiology exam. She answered all my many questions and was very respectful and friendly to me. I highly recommend Keerthana and Albuquerque Hearing and Balance for anyone needing an a audiology exam. TC
I have been going to Albuquerque Hearing and Balance for about 1.5 years now and have always had a great experience. Their Audiologists are very thorough and are patient at explaining the results of the hearing test and ensuring the hearing aides are correct for the problem.
Dr. Morgan Fry is amazing! He is professional, kind and thorough. The dizziness was unbearable and scary. I was diagnosed with BPPV. He did an Epley maneuver and I thought I was going to pass out at the time. However he assured me my dizziness would be gone. Sure enough almost 48 hours later and I feel amazing after one visit😊 I highly recommend this team.
I had a rather amazing appointment with Dr. Morgan Fry yesterday. I have struggled with dizziness since I was 23 years old. I am currently 49, and I have been to many, many doctors about this persistent and troubling issue. Alas, it has been to no avail. Nobody offered me anything other than a series of decongestants. Up until yesterday, I didnt think my dizziness was a solvable problem, but the wonderful Morgan Fry has given me a ray of hope. He listened attentively and gave me well over an hour of his time. He performed a series of tests on me; he made me feel comfortable and welcome there. (Dizziness is an issues that is frequently blown off, in my experience; doctors always think it will just go away.) Morgan explained everything in detail, and he gave me a series of exercises to work on at home. I will go back to see him in a couple of weeks, but I have to say I was incredibly impressed with his vast knowledge, his professionalism, and his kindness. And the folks at the front desk were equally lovely. The two women there greeted me warmly and were interesting to chat with. (Plus, they were funny! Big bonus!) What a tremendous, caring office. I feel so lucky to have found ABQ Hearing and Balance.
I have been going to Albuquerque Hearing and Balance for 10+ years and have never been other than completely satisfied with the service and the products they fit their patients with! I had been to a couple of other places before, one a very shady place to which I never returned and another more reputable place, but, in my opinion, that didnt care as much about the outcomes for their patients.I have referred a number of people to AHB and they have all been pleased. Most recently I personally took my 92 year father-in-law who had stopped using his prior inferior technology devices to them and now he wears his new devices every waking hour and can actually participate in conversation once again!Carol Clifford and her staff are the most educated in the field and compassionate for their patients that I have experienced. All my questions and the small number of issues have always been addressed with the utmost professional manner.I would recommend Albuquerque Hearing and Balance to anyone that is experiencing hearing loss and/or difficulty with their hearing aids.
These folks are outstanding....great experience in all aspects...so very glad I chose them. Getting hearing aids has been a transforming experience for me...I encourage everyone to get tested and to do what you can to ensure your best hearing. Sounds cliche...but did not know what I was missing! My very highest recommendation.
Physical Therapist Morgan Fry is wonderful. Extremely competent matched with a genuine care for his patients. Very trusting and someone I would recommend to family and friends.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff, with timely appointments scheduled.
Caitlynne Gentry was extremely professional and caring during my recent visit to have my ears cleaned of wax and then a transition to newer technology in hearing aids. She answered all my questions and listened to my concerns. The front desk ladies were also friendly and professional. Thank you AHB for improving my life.
From my initial comprehensive hearing test and consultation, to prescription and fitting of my hearing aids, to follow-up up appointments for adjustments and tuning, my Audiologist and the staff at ABQ Hearing and Balance has been very professional, friendly and caring. I highly recommend this company.
Dr. Clifford and her team at Albuquerque Hearing and Balance are simply the best. They were and have been extremely helpful with getting our youngest daughter tested and fitted for hearing aids. The staff and Dr. Clifford have made us feel like family. They have always gone above and beyond and always been there for us. We have been more then happy with the care from them.
What a pleasant surprise for a doctors office. It was almost like visiting family as all the staff made you welcome and accepted. Along with the great office atmosphere, everyone, regardless of what their part was, was obviously trained well and very happy with their role. My wife and I felt very confident with the findings and the solutions. You wont find a better otology experience.
I went to Abq. Hearing and Balance to learn about hearing aids and to learn about the process used to determine how bad my hearing was. The test was extremely thorough and very professionally administered. The Audiologist was very knowledgeable and explained the results in a way that was very easily understood. To help me understand the value of having the hearing aids, i was offered the chance to wear a pair for a week or so and see the difference. Imagine that, taking hearing aids home for a test drive. What better way is there to really know when making such a big decision. I would recommend Albuquerque Hearing and Balance to everyone who struggles with hearing. They were all very professional and made me very comfortable with the process and the decision making that followed.
Wonderfully caring people who never say we can’t correct a problem you have with any of the state of the art equipment. Worked professionally to solve a problem even if the situation would have tried the patience of a saint. Never recommended products that were not necessary to use. Honest, sincere feed back about your hearing issues.
I highly recommend Albuquerque Hearing and Balance! I have been taking my son to Carol Clifford for 12 years and she has always taken such good care of him and gone above and beyond what we could have ever expected. I will never take my son anywhere else. She made what could have been a stressful experience of being a new mom with a child with a severe hearing loss into a wonderful experience. We always look forward to going to our appointments to see her. I cant say enough good things about this place!! I have always been so happy with the service and care we receive! Carol is amazing!
I had gone in for a hearing test. They had no experience with my hearing aids but I allowed the woman to see if she could make them better because she was pretty sure she knew the brand. She told me she would research and see how she could fix them and call me. I called her and found out she had been out sick and I was very understanding because she was telling me she wasnt feeling well and I could tell during the appointment. I never received the call and I ended up sick with pneumonia for months. I eventually took them back to Costco after the new year and had them corrected. Meanwhile, Im being turned over to collections for nonpayment on an invoice I have yet to see which I am still understanding of, if money is owed on the account. What I am not understanding of is my emergency contact being listed as a co-signer/ joint on the account when he was simply an emergency contact. I am advising him to seek legal recourse for his damaged credit being that he is a quadriplegic and has been bed bound for the last 7 years and did not sign a damn thing. I dont even want to call these people to get an invoice. I would never recommend them to anyone.
I have had such great care from all the people at Albuquerque Hearing and Balance. Most recently Julie has been a total rock star! She listens, and honestly hears what I need. Thanks to everybody there!!!
After 43 years of wearing hearing aids that no doubt helped me, Albuquerque Hearing and Balance and Dr. Leah Fry changed my life. After conducting a thorough hearing test, Dr. Fry fitted me with two Oticon Opn aids. I was instantly astounded at how much better I could hear. I actually cried when I listened to music with them; I heard notes I’ve never heard before! Dr. Fry made me feel comfortable and was very helpful. Thanks to her, I easily adapted to my new hearing aids. The entire staff is very friendly; I can’t recommend this place enough!
Great staff! Tammy and Rachel were thorough, awesome at explaining things and very helpful.
I highly recommend ABQ Hearing and Balance to anyone who needs to have their hearing tested. Maria, my audiologist, is so patient and so willing to work with you on any issues you might have regarding your loss of hearing. Make your appointment today, you wont be sorry.
Prior to encountering Albuquerque Hearing and Balance I had hearing aids from one of the local franchise providers with their one brand in three price levels solve all problems. Explore for yourself if these outlets don’t focus mostly on the sale then the extent of your hearing situation. Independents like Alb Hearing and Balance are staffed with professions that the audiologist credentials are only the beginning and like a Doctor examine tendinitis, dizziness and such and know the brand of hearing assistance that actually solves your problems. I’ll never again go to the budget shops when for the same price and friendlier staff get professional attention.
Dr. Clifford took great care of special need daughter and she made sure she was comfortable . She made her and me felt like family and shaft was great no waiting time.
I have worn hearing aids for over 30 years and this is the first time I have gone anywhere outside if MiracleEar. I wont go into details about my experience at another place but I will with Albuquerque Hearing and Balance. We went to AHB and to see Tammy as part of a recommendation from my sons doctor. My son has a hearing loss and Tammy has taken care of his loss from day 1 as if he were her own. When I say that it means she takes the time to treat him and has a lot of patience. My son isnt that hard to interact with but being so young I could understand how hard it would be to deal with his situation. Tammy doesnt treat it like hes another issue but rather that she wants him to get the best out of his hearing. I cannot think of taking him to anyone else knowing he is going to be taken care of.Now on to my hearing. As I stated earlier I have worn hearing aids for over 30 years and was in need of buying a replacement for one of my hearing aids as it was coming up on 7 years old. I had mentioned to Tammy about getting a replacement and told her I didnt like the BTE style as I had a lot of issues with them as a kid. She pulled out her device, which I had no idea she wore them, and showed my how small and powerful they are. I told her I had always gone to MiracleEar and I didnt think my insurance would cover anything. She told me that may not be true and then thats when everything started. I scheduled an appointment with her for hearing test, this was my sons appointment, and came back about a month or so later. After speaking about different devices available for my hearing loss I ultimately decided not to do anything due to price. I wasnt expecting to buy 2 devices but it is better to have binuaral devices be the same. I did a trial of the devices I would be best suited for which meant they were programmed for my hearing loss. I wore them for about a month, due to doctors medical clearance for hearing aids. I ordered them and could not be more pleased. I can hear more sounds and 360 degrees around me than I had experienced with my older hearing aids. Now I will say that Tammy made recommendations on the devices she thought we best suited for me and I went with the option that suited my budget. At no time did Tammy ever make me feel like I made the wrong choice, nor did she pressure me to buying anything I was there to buy as I needed new devices. All of the staff there have been courtesy and willing to help. I am glad my son was referred to AHB and that he has seen Tammy. I appreciate everything she has done and I hope she is able to help more people. I have met Dr. Clifford once and she is an awesome person too but I prefer Tammy as she has been with us since day 1. I dont think you would be disappointed in seeing anyone at AHB.
Staff and audiologists were awesome. Professional, courteous, very informative and worked hard to put me at ease.
Dr. Tammy is just an awesome, knowledgeable, friendly, professional person. Always knowing how to care for my childs needs
I lost most of my hearing as a firefighter, and had developed terrible ringing in my ears (tinnitus). Dr. Clifford and her staff took incredible care of me! They were very patient! The staff worked very closely with my ENT Dr. Pickett, and fitted me with Oticon hearing devices. My hearing is back! My tinnitus is improved! Im truly grateful to the staff at Albuquerque Hearing and Balance.
Great customer care from the moment you walk into the clinic.
Everything was explained thoroughly and clearly, I felt like I could trust the staff. They were very honest, respectful and professional.
They are rude and unhelpful. If they dont understand whats going on with you they just cut you off take your devices back and leave you bair to face the world without your hearing, they simply do not care about you, and will ambush you. On top of everything it takes 4 months to see someone. Do not go here and waist your money its not worth the mental pain they will put you through.
I needed an audiogram before my ENT would see me. Despite telling these folks three separate times when the report needed to be received by my doctor, it never arrived; making the ENT appointment Id been waiting for a waste of time. My doctor was able to get the report the next day but there was nothing to discuss during my referral. For the privilege, they charged me $140 beyond my co-pay.Fool me once.....
The assistance and care I received at Abq Hearing and Balance was exceptional!
I am currently navigating through possible hearing loss of a toddler and the staff here have been great...The audiologist took her time, was understanding when my little one would not cooperate and answered every single question I had.
The specialists are awesome, genuine, and kind hearted.
Very professional. Great with kids!
Great customer service.
Very kind and attentive.
Caring assistance with hearing and balance problems.
Speaking poorly of their patients at the reception desk. Extremely unprofessional!
Wonderful experience!
