The wait was about a week understandable everywhere right now is booked out weeks, I took my car in on Wednesday and by Thursday afternoon they had my vehicle finished, with all my issues I was having gone! This place was cheaper than other quotes I got and they really seem to know what they are talking about and explain what they are doing so you don’t feel like you are getting ripped off! Would definitely recommend this place !! Fast, Friendly efficient, and budget friendly!

This was my first time I came here! and definitely wont be the last! I was in desparate repair of my front rotors which were in bad shape. When I arrived I was not feeling the way I should, my brake pad was vibrating when I bearly touched. I asked chuck a number of questions and explained in detail everything I needed to know and more! I rarely leave reviews, but I had to for my experience at The Mechanic. When I called The Mechanic, I spoke with a very helpful person named Chris. He listened to me, despite my incorrect terminology and answered my questions about pricing. I made an appointment for the next day. When I arrived the next morning, David helped me figure out exactly what I needed to have done. Oil change, tire rotation/balance and trip check. I could tell he knew exactly what he was doing; however, he didnt make me feel dumb for asking questions and voicing concerns. He took my number and said it would be a couple hours because they were busy. Sure enough, later on that afternoon, he called me with updates. He talked me through everything he found and what he would recommend for a vehicle with over 100,000 miles and for a long road trip. I had to call him back and ask him to repeat himself, which he did without any frustration. Overall, extremely happy with the customer service and the expertise at The Mechanic. It was an expensive day, but I am so happy that I went there for the work. I felt like I was treated with respect from beginning to end and I highly recommend others to take their vehicles to The Mechanic. Thank you.

I have taken my Jeep here three or so times over the past several years for minor maintenance and tune-ups, as well as a few more major repairs like fuel pump replacement and cooling system work. The job is always done quickly and professionally, and the prices are extremely reasonable! Some repairs actually cost less than half what other shops and dealerships wanted to charge. I have never had a single issue with any of the work performed on my vehicle here.The Mechanic has helped keep my car ticking well beyond 100,000 miles with very economical repairs and for that I am extremely grateful! Chuck charged me $700.00 to repair car promising it was safe. It broke down on highway leaving me stranded out of state for exactly what he was suppose to fix. He then refused to repair his own poor work and now stealing from me. Dont trust his lies

They were also very busy, but he helped me anyway. He was kind to me and well prepared, it seemed, for any fix.My husband has brought his SUV in for various jobs, and we always receive accurate and fair work and prices.Seriously, this is a great business and we will continue to bring our vehicles in for service.

I own a 1992 Toyota 4Runner. It is in great shape having been well-maintained over the years, and she runs like a champ. I called The Mechanic twice for an estimate on some service (not repair) work on my front and rear differentials, a throttle position sensor, and an oil change. Pretty straight forward maintenance. one guy was willing to give me an estimate, but I missed his call. I called yesterday, and was told that they have stopped working on older model vehicles because parts were hard to find, yah-dah, yah-dah, yah-dah. I know for a fact that parts are available. I have had to replace parts on the vehicle. I had no trouble finding them.....on my own. Now tell me how I can find parts but a mechanic cannot? Ummm, thats part of their job. My personal feeling is that I got brushed off as a woman needing auto service, and the guy just couldnt be bothered to do anything but tell me their shop doesnt work on the older Toyotas due to parts being hard to find. How hard can it be to find parts when I see older 4Runners all over the city? Thats the dumbest excuse for lazy that I have ever heard. No, I will not be using this business, and no, I will not be recommending it to anyone regardless of the glowing reviews they receive.

If your looking for a mechanic look no further these people are so helpful and kind. Not only do they care about your car they care about you to! I had to bring my car here after it gave out on me and they were able to fix it in the same day! Their customer service is amazing as well they make sure to call you and update you on your car which is wonderful and after the service is done they go over everything with you. They also don’t over charge they are very fair with their pricing.

We were passing through Albuquerque and had no working air conditioning. We called The Mechanic Inc. and they made a same-day appointment for us in spite of their busy schedule. They repaired the car quickly and sent us on our way in a much more comfortable condition. Huge kudos to Chuck and Dave for taking the time out of their busy schedule to help us, for the professionalism of all of the people we met there, and the expert service we received.

Kinda disappointed we had gone here before and had a pretty good experience. At the time we did not have much money so we could only afford the most important parts/fixes. After the job was done the mechanic explained what work we should have done next and I had plans to return when financially capable to finish the job. This morning i called to make an appointment and was surprised at how rudely I was treated. I explained that we needed the work he had said we needed done and his attitude was very off putting. He made it seem like I had no idea what work needed done even though it was work he himself told me i needed done. Anyways I made an appointment with a different mechanic who seems enthusiastic and eager to help rather than someone who treats me like Im an idiot for following his advice. I will not be returning...

Honest is the number one quality! I love The Mechanic, Inc. It is a family owned business and the family is amazing! Chuck is very professional, honest, friendly, and fair. His wife Sharon and all the staff are friendly and very attentive on the phone and when you walk in. I have been taking my car there for as long as they have been open. I took my car in for an oil change and for the first time in my life was told that it looks like I take good care of my car. I dont ever get under the hood, so that is all the work of The Mechanic. Husband and wife Chuck and Sharon are both strong moral ethical religious people who come from humble backgrounds. They worked this business by job quality and word of mouth while Sharon pumped gas and Chuck fixed car... They grew slowly and when I say humble I mean it they have earned and worked to get to where they are and its because they say what they mean and mean what they say. They are reliable, Honest, helpful, clean, respectful ($10 job or $10,000) I know 3 generations of families that I see here sometimes and they keep coming back because of HONESTY, INTEGRITY, QUALITY, and PRICE . Very unprofessional service went in for a tuneup. They did not tighten the oil filter causing it to leak oil and lose oil they did not secure and tighten my battery so the vehicle died because the connections are not hooked up fully. Called and said vehicle was done I showed up hood was still open they were still working on it. Do not trust do not go here shop around find better places that charge less.

I had just moved to Albuquerque and needed a reliable shop for my car. A co-worker recommended The Mechanic so I took my car there for a brake job.They did an excellent job and the price was right.Took the car back again for the front brakes and had the same great experience. I will not take my car anywhere else. These people are veryprofessional.

I had a new battery and cables replaced today. Below was my “bill”$149.45 - Battery$88.00 - Labor$7.50 - Environmental Fee$23.35 - TaxTotal - $333.34Now to any 3rd grader with or without a calculator, the actual sum of those totals is $268.30. I told the woman the math was incorrect and she went and spoke to the mechanic and he scribbled over it and wrote the new total which was now 264.78 with no supporting sub totals. She then said “yeah I guess he added it up wrong” AND NOBODY DOUBLE CHECKED?How he/she/they managed to mysteriously add 65 ish dollars to my total does not seem like a “simple mistake”. Car runs fine but...seemed kind of like they were trying to pull a fast one on someone who doesn’t read bills top to bottom. So...I guess if you do go, just watch out for their version of “math”.

I called for an estimate to replace front brakes. I was quoted over $300.00 for parts and labor. When I asked of he would do an inspection to see what exactly I need, he said he would not inspect the vehicle unless I was getting the work done from him, right then and there. He said its double the work for him so he wouldnt do it. The mechanic across the street from them offered to do a free inspection.I called to see how much parts are to replace front brakes...the highest quality were only $30.00 per pair with a warranty. Look around, and ASK QUESTIONS. Front brakes on a 20 year old car should not cost anyone over $300.00. This mechanic will not be MY mechanic.

Very professional mechanics with reasonable rates. When I told them I was using a different tie rod than stock to improve off road reliability, they were willing to modify them in order to do an alignment. They know their business. Will be bringing all my cars here!

My vehicle recently failed an emissions test, and having just moved to New Mexico I had to find a mechanic with no prior knowledge of who to use. I found these people after a quick google search and based upon the reviews I decided to use them, and Im thankful that I did.In the process of taking my car in for a diagnostic (and hopefully a fix to the issues); I spoke with three different people all of whom were friendly and helpful. The lead mechanic was very good about explaining to me what the issues, solutions, and costs were when we spoke on the phone and in person. They found/fixed my problem and went beyond what I was expecting all for a reasonable price.Ill definitely be using them again the next time my vehicle needs some work done.

Dealing with Chuck was an enjoyable experience. We are in a pinch and he got us in that day. He was very transparent and we were in and out. I would highly recommend him! We are from Taos and if I had a choice I would drive down just to have him as my mechanic.

I only had a question. The mechanic who spoke with me was extremely helpful. No asking for payment just honest. For a person who isnt well inclined with engines he gave me a straight to the pin answer. If I ever have anything that I cant do Ill head directly here. Mechanic knew exactly what was wrong with my car as soon as he heard it running, and was extremely forthcoming and honest about what the problem was, how serious it was, and how it would be fixed if that was what I chose to do. Everyone I encountered was very friendly and polite. It also seems like they have some of the lowest rates in town for the initial inspection to determine the exact nature/extent of your problem. Highly recommended.

Passing through Albuquerque on our way to Colorado and needed major repairs. Chuck and his mechanics diagnosed the problem right away and had us back on the road within a few days. Would highly recommend him! Wish he was here in Houston!

I have taken my vehicles to the professionals at The Mechanic for many years and they have always been very fair in pricing and excellent service! I wouldnt trust anyone else with my truck.

These people were great. We had a minivan looked at for a pre purchase inspection and man were they thurough. They looked at almost everything. I was told of any problem or even any potential problem with my van. Because of their evaluation I got the price of my van knocked down $500 in addition to new brakes, some free body work and some free mechanical work. To get this work done on my own would have cost around an extra $1,500 bucks. So as I see it, getting the $80 plus tax inspection saved me $2,000 or so. Also, they told me over the phone it would be about a 3 hour inspection, but they got it done in an hour because they knew we were waiting to buy it.

Whomever stole my little beaten up 1993 Acura Integra 2 years ago stole a perfectly running, mechanically flawless vehicle, because it was maintained and repaired by the Mechanic. Later on, when taking a vehicle to them for a pre-purchase inspection, their thorough diagnositics sent the dealer into a defensive flurry that threw up so many red flags I knew not to buy from that dealer. Now, I have a CR-V that I dearly love and only trust it with these fine people. ;-)

I went to Dearholt with an engine knock and they said I needed an oil pump for the Suburban at $1,500. The Mechanic flushed the oil for $110 and fixed the problem. Honest mechanics that fix whats wrong. Need I say more.
