-10 score Trying to treat myself to an upgrade stero/navigation system in my 2005 Mustang. I was so excited to have the Stero Store install it for me. I had done some research online on how they would do it. When I dropped the car off I explained a problem disingaging the ebrake, DO NOT lift it more than three inches. He told me he understood completely. When I picked up my car the first question I had was regarding the ebrake. I was told everything worked out great no problems at all....... Well THEY LIED! I made it TWO miles down the road when my BACK WHEELS STARTED TO SMOKE!!! THEY PULLED THE EBRAKE UP AS HIGH AS THEY COULD! THEN COULD NOT DISENGAGE THE EBRAKE SO THEY PUSHED ON THE HANDLE UNTIL IT LAYED FLAT LOOKING AS IF THE EBRAKE WAS DISENGAGED. The repair bill for the brake system is close to 700 dollars. I Wonder what they will do when I send them the bill???

My first after-market car stereo purchase and installation.Staff is knowledgeable and patient, workmanship is top notch and they are fast!I didnt know exactly what I wanted beyond having blue tooth connection but the manager Stefan (Albany Store) asked all the right questions about both what I wanted it to do and about the car it was going in.Excellent service and I would highly recommend them!

Had a auto start install on my wifes car She loves it. They did a great job cant tell they worked on it.

Had a fairly pleasant experience. Got my sub and amp installed with a bass knob here. Was originally told it would take 2 hours, took 4 and a half. There were greasy handprints all over my interior plastic. Other than those, customer service was good and the install job was also good.

I recently got a sub and insulation installed in my car and it turned out absolutely amazing! I had discussed with Stefan about hiding the volume knob in a punch out in my dash and even though it was a very tight fit he did his best to make it work. When I received my car, sooner than expected, I was amazed of how well it turned out! It was more than i expected and there was no trace of anyone or anything in my car! Amazing craftsmanship and customer service! I would highly recommend their service to anyone!

Nice people, they tried but after having my stereo installed in my 2002 thunderbird the amp stayed on all the time and drained the battery their fix was to take out the fuse so, no amp and terrible sound.

Every time I’ve come into the stereo store the costumer service is amazing. They work really well to get you what you want/need. Also have had them build me a sub box and installed some stuff and it all has turned out amazing. Best stereo store around.

We’ll go nowhere else, ever again! We went to The Stereo Store “after” we’d already spent $2,000 having a different organization install a high-end stereo/navigation system in our Hummer H2. The other organization spent 3 days installing, and then trying to bring back the quality of sound we had prior to the installation. Failing to do so, their solution was for us to spend an additional $1,500 to replace our Bose system. We spoke with Louis from The Stereo Store and explained the situation. He was certain they could solve whatever issues there were and was reasonably certain they could do so in about an hour. OK, I scoffed at that assertion, but true to his word they fixed our sound system in less than an hour! Stephan, the store manager, took the time to explain what the other organization had failed to do and gave us a tour of our new, wonderful system. We spent the entire drive home (Newport area) with the stereo cranked up, enjoying the full, robust sound we thought we’d never enjoy again. Everyone we met at The Stereo Store was very nice, professional, and easily smiled. THANK YOU, Louis and Stephan, and everyone else! You now have 2 more life-long customers.

These guys rock! I ordered from Crutchfield, because of my back I couldnt finish it, they gave me a great price and cleaned up and finished the install in my Hummer H3! They were also very respectful of me being a disabled veteran. Great service all around! Im going to have them install some more stuff in a few months.

They ran my RCAs alongside my power wire from front to back. Witch your not supposed to, because it can cause distortion. Theyre supposed to be ran on the opposite side of the vehicle. So now I have to re-run them myself. Witch I should of just ran the wiring myself in the first place. Just thought itd be easier to have someone else do it with my busy work schedule. Being a business youd think that theyd do it correctly or maybe they thought I wouldnt know the difference. Either way Im not impressed.

I was a little skeptical about going to this location because of some old rumors Id heard about how they treat customers. I was totally impressed with the professionalism of Stephen. He treated me with respect and after listening to what I was wanting to do, showed me what he recommended. I scheduled the installation and picked up our vehicle yesterday afternoon. I went in out of frustration from dealing with a competitor. I met Stephen who showed me different options for my Ford Expedition. He listened to what I wanted and patiently described what he thought would best suit my needs. When I came in for my appointment I decided I wanted to add four new speakers to the install and Stephen, although they were really busy, managed to include the additional speakers at the same time. Ive been here for all my car stereo stuff, and the staff has always been so nice, and helpful and caring about my needs. Purchased a stereo and door speakers from Jorge here. He also sold me a open harness kit for my car at a discount but it turned out it was missing some parts. When I came back not only did he help me return it but he helped me find the correct kit online so I could order it! Seriously blown away by this businesss staff. The prices are pretty good too. Especially compared so somewhere like Audio Files in Corvallis. I will always make the 25 min drive to the Stereo Store for my audio stuff over anywhere else.

I had my husbands Sirius XM hooked up recently. They were very patient on the phone as I dug up serial numbers and the year of our car to make sure what we bought was compatable. In & out with exactly what I needed at a fair price.

I am giving this store a 2 rating based on the fact I was told by an employee that they had a High Low Converter in stock with a 12v remote wire over the phone. Upon arrival I was greeted by a different employee then I had talked to on the phone and he seemed confused about the whole matter, and instantly told me they didnt carry a high low with a remote. Once we went to the counter to see if they had one somewhere else the man I spoke with on the phone came out from the back of the store and realized it was me who had called prior, and with a smirk on his face he said oh you are the guy who called about the high low converter acting as if he didnt know in the first place. Thanks for the waste of time for no reason. Please hire someone who knows your inventory it will save people non needed trips after work.

The awesome Salesman and I made a great package deal that had everything I wanted and set the date to be installed! I dropped it off yesterday and it was done on time 👌 I couldnt wait to hear it and it sounds AWESOME 🤘 He showed me all its bells and whistles PLUS it answers my phone! I appreciated the honesty of Chris; when I first walked in and explained what I wanted for our RV, he told me he wasnt going to sell me anything I didnt need. The install was fast and very clean. I went back to have an alarm system installed on the RV and it was more complicated then what they estimated as far as shop time. The previous owners had an inferior company install a system that failed but Chris and his installer cleaned up the mess and put in a superior system and stuck to the original estimate even though they put more time and effort into getting it done right. I plan on taking our other vehicle there for a stereo system install soon. Theyre great to deal with... 5 STARS all the way...Would I shop there again? A resounding YES!

The dealership sent my truck in 2 get the stereo deck fixed & when I got the truck back it had a $99 deck & all my subs & amps were gone...no 7inch flip screen DVD/cd player...nothing...$3000 worth of stereo equipment was just gone and replaced with a cheap lil stereo. They thought it was the dealerships vehicle so they stripped it of the good stuff...I eventually got my stuff back but not without going in and causing a ruckus. They should have just fixed the stereo issue without being shady or stealing. I will not go back nor recommend this business 2 anyone.

Beyond happy. Every time

I stopped in to have them tie in the wiring harness for aftermarket electric seat heaters for my truck. Saved me a lot of hassle trying to figure out where to splice it in, and their labor is warrantied. Chris was a lot of help, and while I wasnt in the market for an aftermarket deck for my 2012 Tundra, Im probably going to be visiting them again soon for an upgrade to my sound system. Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, I couldnt be happier with the service I received.EDITED 04JAN19I ended up buying components on my own with the intention of installing it myself, and just couldnt find the time (or motivation) to finish the installation. Stefan and the installers did a bang up job getting the speakers, amplifier, subwoofer and enclosure, and sound insulation for each door installed, and tuned in slightly more than a day. I like to do DIY things, but in some cases, paying a professional is worth every penny. I highly recommend this establishment.

Horrible customer service both the employee and the manger both times I was in acted like I was bothering them by trying to give them my business. Manager couldn’t even look up from his cell phone to answer my questions and kept having me repet my question just to ask me what I said again because he was reading something on his phone
