I just had a low profile or slim two 8in sub and amp combination installed in my vehicle. The installer, Jim did an outstanding job. Control knob for the base is hidden yet very accessible. The system that was recommended is more than adequate. I would even say that it exceeds my expectation for output given its size and compactness. The workmanship appears to be top-notch. I had requested that it be easily removable and repositionable in the back. Both of my request where were delivered on. As for the price, the quoted price was what I was charged and I found it to be reasonable. This is my second interaction with this company, though the first time at this location. Both in the past and presently theyve delivered consistent quality work. I highly recommend.

I came in today mid anxiety attack completely overwhelmed by life. Im neurodivergent and theres 2 things that soothe my stress, cannabis and actually feeling music. Richard Mack deserves the biggest shout out for putting up with me. He heard me out and realized how important a new system is to me and my sanity. Richard Mack my dude you are a hero and I truly mean that, I know it sounds crazy. But Im excited to have my new system installed in a few weeks. DO NOT RECOMMEND!!If I could rate 0 stars I would. I had an appointment set to get a remote car starter put in. I came from over an hour away. When I dropped my car off they said 2-2 1/2 hours. My mom and I were walking around until then. 2 hours later we come back and my car is still in the same spot. We walk in and everybody’s just sitting around. I asked the guy “Was my car even touched?” He said “I don’t know” you work here! What do you mean you don’t know! So another guy said it hasn’t been touched yet. I set an appointment for a reason. You said 2 hours, you had plenty of time to get to it. So I took my keys and left. I wasted my day for absolutely no reason, for them to do absolutely nothing. There should be a 0 star option.

They installed a remote car starter for me, the service was excellent at the Central Ave location, was very pleased with the gentleman that made my appointment, they were booked for 3 weeks ahead but they got me in same day. I wouldnt go anywhere else, service was excellent

Good pricing. Cheaper than bestbuy. Will probably return when Ive saved a little.Update: they were able to fit me in much earlier than anyone else. Got a car starter and an updated stereo system. Picked everything out and was able to drop off my car in the morning before they opened. Rich worked with me, letting me know all my options and which screens and harnesses would let me keep my backup camera. When I came in to pick up my car, I found out that Rich had done extra research and found a better system but would still charge me the same price. Everything has been working real well so far and I love the new specs. Theres a few kinks I still have to work out but Im not sure if its the new system or the connection between my phone and my car. Either way, Im definitely satisfied.

Showed up to do a calibration on a smart start hour and 45 minutes later the technician says nothing he can do told me to go somewhere else and Locked the system out miserable and rude never again will I go there

Absolutely Amazing, they gave me a very accurate estimate to have a CD/DVD player installed on my new F250 over the phone in the morning. I scheduled it for two days later but they said if I picked up the truck from the dealership I could call to see if they could fit me in....THEY DID!! Drove straight from the dealership to the store where they greeted me and my sons in the nicest possible way with everything already laid out on the counter to show me what we discussed over the phone. I loved it all and they installed my awesome system PROPERLY in about an hour!! So happy with the service, products and pricing they provided! The quote from their competitor down the street was over $150 more plus they had to order all the parts, meaning I had to install a week later. Thank you so much guys, you are AWESOME!!!!

I accidentally snapped the cord connecting my sub to its amp (both of which they sold me and installed in my vehicle perfectly, at a fair price) while getting something out of my trunk, rendering it useless. I came in to ask for an estimate of how much it would cost to hook the sub back up. They asked me to take a seat while they took a look at it. They came back to me 10 minutes later, having fixed it on the spot - with no appointment -- and would not charge me for it. Says all it has to say: These guys do good business. Highly recommend.

Spent $500 putting a radio in an Acura. Thought he might be able to help me out with a question about my truck radio, but John was arrogant and dismissive. If you walk in and find him working, I strongly recommend that you turn around and walk out.

I purchased a remote car starter with installation years ago. It never really work right. The new fobs that came with it will only unlock the doors if I locked the car from the inside. If I lock the doors with the fob the car just honks twice and doesnt lock. I took it back once and they said it was working. I dont have time for bs so i never went back again.

Very knowledgeable people here and they carry a wide variety of products for everyones budget. I made 3 trips here in April 2018 in order to finalize everything that I wanted with my car stereo. Joe and his staff were great to work with, gave me some ideas and alternative options, and did a terrific, tidy install. I had a few problems along the way with the in dash unit I had picked and they figured out the problem and fixed it as true professionals do.Prior to this I had not worked with them before, but I can assure you that I will again in the future. They were flexible, honest, and thorough in their work. That is something that always is needed for great customer service and they certainly achieved an A.I am very happy to report one full year later that my system still sounds totally awesome (Alpine, Focal, JL Audio), is working flawlessly, and gets quite a few comments on the quality from my friends.

Stopped in without an appointment for some help with a disconnected subwoofer. I expected to set an appointment and wait to get help, but Richard helped me immediately no wait no charge. He was skilled and clearly knew his way around the equipment. Fixed in 10 mins.Definitely consider places like this before your standard retail best buy or bose, the experience at shops like these make a big difference.

My car stereo was having some issues so I stopped in on 2 separate occasions. On the first occasion, it was diagnosed incorrectly and I spent money on a part that wasnt needed. On the second occasion, it wasnt checked at all but I was told that the issue was something completely different. After leaving frustrated, I found out that my car stereo wasnt damaged at all but that it simply needed to be reset. There are 2 possible conclusions:1) They lack any real knowledge about car stereos2) Theyre scammers.Either way, its a loss.Do your own research before going.

Had a system installed, i purchased all the stuff, was told did not need any dynomat i bought but after finished when cranked rattled in spare tire and gas door as well as license plate i had to install my self, probably one of the better audio places in area

I had a terrible experience at Boomer McLOUD. It was almost the equivalent of a 1 for 1 swap. It was the exact same brand and the same size (2 din) without GPS or backup camera. No need for even a wire harness. The wait was terrible and customer service was even worse. They quoted me a half hour to 45 minutes tops for the install. The car didnt even go in the store until an hour after my appointment time. About half way through the install, they said it was a little more complex than they had previously thought, but at that point they were an hour behind anyways. In total the entire service was three times as long as they said they would be for a basic install. They also tried to get me to buy new steering wheel controls instead of making my old controls compatible...so they helped me greatly by taking the faulty controls out for me.The only reason they get two stars is because they took $20 off to pay for my lunch. Although the only reason I had to get lunch was because their service was so slow.Ive waited for major car work to be done and waited 7 hours for it, but the experience I had at Boomer McLouds takes the cake in disrespect, customer service and timeliness. I would never go back to this establishment, or recommend it to anyone.

After waiting 15 minutes in an empty lobby, I paid $20 for an $8 stereo wire harness. Only other choice was to drive to Albany, or wait 2 days for online shipping from ebay. I walked out feeling victimized. I also saw an apple iphone charger cable in a blister pack on the wall (just the cable, not the charger) for $24.99. Any gas station sells this cable with the charger for $7.99!!! The laws of supply and demand are really proven here.

I did OK at this location. I had 4 speakers installed . They worked out fine. The Schenectady store was mistake, twice.

The product they installed in my car was terrible. It made my car alarm go off each time the door opened and the only way to then turn it off was to turn on the car. When I confronted them of the problem they lied to me and said it was a defect of another part. I then got the car looked at and the dealership and a separate said the defective part was do to Boomer. The men that work there were not nice and now I am out more then 360 dollars in inspections of the car, when the PROBLEM WENT AWAY AS SOON AS THE PEOPLE AT BOOMER REMOVED THEIR PRODUCT. The car no longer gives me issues. Boomers of Albany is a terrible store with nasty people.
