We had an emergency with our truck heading out of town and Eric went out of his way to fit us in. His mechanic Cody fixed our truck out on the sidewalk!!! He is the friendliest young man and we sure appreciate him helping us out last minute! If you need vehicle work, Snyder’s is the best in town.

Brought my 92 explorer in for front-end work & other issues and must say its the best its ever felt driving down the road in the 4 years Ive owned it! They fixed the issues with the front-end, replaced the brake master cylinder which was leaking ( I mentioned i had somewhat poor braking issues) they noticed my rear diff was leaking, repaired that, new ball joints and other pieces, new pads and alignment. Was quoted 1,250 and the final bill was 1,300.00 witch to me seems more than fair.I will definitely be bringing my other vehicles to F.L. Snyder & Son. These guys do great work for a straight up price. Never felt like I was being screwed at all. They were cool and performed far beyond my expectations. Good job F.L. I had called to get an estimate for some work and was told to look at the vehicle would be free. I then asked if someone would be able to do a test drive to hear the noises on the vehicle and was told ya I guess we could do that but once the vehicle is in the air they would look for the noises and figure it out, I mean they do this kinda stuff all the time. Also when I asked about how long it might take to look at the vehicle I was rudely told I dont know. I dont know whats wrong with it. Most places can give somewhat of a time frame when you tell them some of the issues and can usually tell you how long it might take to hook it to the computer for a check engine light. My first impression was not good.

I dropped my dead car off at closing time, I knew they wouldnt get to it that night. I figured Id be getting it back at the end of the the next day... butMy car was ready for pick up first thing in the morning.Running great and quiet.I definitely recommend coming here.

The owner of this shop, Eric, is one of the best in the business as far as I’m concerned. I never actually met him, but my lady friends experience with him says it all. She was on a long road trip and noticing that her vehicle was slowly developing steering problems. Stopping in Albany for the night, took vehicle to larger popular repair facility. The place had her panicking and in tears telling her it needed $2800 worth of repairs. I convinced her to tell them thanks but no thanks, and take it somewhere else. She found Eric’s garage, and being the personable and stand up man that he is, checked it out, resolved her problem and pointed out the minor issues that would need to be addressed in future, and safely put her back on the road WITH NO CHARGE. Being a mechanic for 30 years myself (and I personally knew the vehicle), Eric is a top notch person in my book, and has the BEST shop in Albany.

Excellent service - I generally fix the issues on my 92 Subaru myself or ask for help from my old man, but for bigger projects (in this case replacing and ABS unit) I will continue to go to Snyder & Son.They fixed what needed to be fixed super fast, made some suggestions, and were very honest and reliable! When something came up after I had picked up my car, they looked at it free of charge and resolved the issue.As far as Im concerned, this is the ideal mechanic shop - no one is trying to get more money out of you for things that dont need to be done.Call to set up an appointment to get a quote - they may list out other things they see, but theyll separate out anything you want.Its also in a historic building, and they have some cool old pictures of what it used to be!

Best garage in Albany. They always do a great job, never charge too much, and get it done quick. The last issue I had checked out was intermittent misfires. They told me it was most likely dirty injectors and put an additive in the gas tank. The only thing they charged me for was the additive! And it worked! I highly recommend them.

I had an amazing all-round experience with Snyders. The owner Eric was very informative and helpful when it came to repairs that were needed on my truck. He charged a fair price for high quality work. He had it done on time. He was very pleasant to deal with and honest. I would recommend having Snyders preform work to everybody.

Customer service via telephone was extremely unpleasant, the woman sounded like she was either having a really awful day or she really wanted to make someone elses so.This woman genuinely talked down to me in a manner that she thought I was stupid. I was very kind from the beginning and even through to the end when I said thank you for your time and she said, bye.I always try to respect others and I just really felt disrespected by this woman who has no idea what my name even is. Come on.Im sure the mechanics are actually wonderful. I would definitely agree with the other negative reviews about the customer service and being snooty everybodys **** stinks so does yours.Besides I called multiple places for quotes and this business was one of the highest.Example: $353 for Labor and parts to replace a stock muffler.Example: $197 for labor and parts to replace a stock muffler at Salem Exhaust. This wasnt even the lowest quote that I received.My best advice, would be a smart consumer. If the business has multiple bad reviews, you better start thinking twice. Shop around or go into this shop and give them excessive amounts of your money.

They have horrible customer service via telephone. I was in the middle of speaking, which pertained to them getting my business, and the operator was so kind to hang up on me. Definitely not using them. First impression is everything when running a business. Not to mention slightly snooty.

All I will say is get a 2nd opinion. They told me my ball joints needed to be done. Had 2 other shops besides them look at them and they said ball joints were fine.

Definitely a 5 star repair shop. I trust them with all my vehicles and theyve never let me down. Super service!

F L Snyder & Son was my saving Grace for my Jeep XJ. We installed an IRO lift and OTK steering and had trouble setting the alignment and caster for it to drive right. We never take our Jeeps to shops. We thought we had it as close as we could get it and on the freeway I quickly learned we didnt, and in emergency I took my Jeep to a shop in Olympia, Washington where I got ripped off and treated like just a dumb girl. He didnt listen to what I said, and he kept blaming things I knew werent the culprit like I dont know any better. I drove away with actual death wobble and worse steering than it already was. As a result of that, I remained stranded in Tacoma for another two weeks trying to fix it ourselves, as it wasnt safe to make the 4hr journey back to Eugene with three young kids. When I called and asked what exactly they did, he didnt give me a straight answer. When the answer finally came out, it was turned the tie rod end in one turn. I was disgusted. 100$ for that? Really? So after several more attempts to fix it with limited time and tools, my husband finally got our trailer and we trailered it home to Eugene. After even more attempts to fix it ourselves to no avail, we brought it in to F L Snyder & Son, who a close friend had suggested, as they did excellent on his Jeep too.Well, thats the best 100$ weve ever spent. I am impressed and so overjoyed that I can drive my Jeep at 75 mph one handed, where before it was not taking hands off the wheel at any speed. Deathtrap to daily. I cant thank this shop enough for their dedication to their customers, their patience and willingness to listen, and thorough work. I literally cried on the way home because I was so happy I could drive and not feel afraid to die. F L Snyder & Son has earned a forever loyal customer. Thank you so much for everything!!!!❤️

My fiance and I were driving up from Eugene when we started hearing a HORRIBLE noise coming from our car. We brought it in around 3 pm and by 3:45; they had diagnosed the problem, fixed it, and told us it was such an easy fix there would be no charge. My jaw dropped! They also gave us quotes on a few issues they had noticed and it was the same price as what a shop in Eugene quoted us for just one of the jobs! We will be driving to Albany from now on cuz we just found ourselves a new mechanic shop! Thanks!
