I had an issue with my Camry randomly stalling and/or dying when coming to a stop. I had mechanics in Salem (where I had previously gone in the past) check it out and they couldnt diagnose or figure out the issue.He was booked out but said that because the problem was intermittent, I could bring it into the shop and they could check it out in between jobs. Dane and his team held onto my Camry for about a week or so at no extra cost, was able to identify the problem, and gave me a good estimate on repair cost.In the end they fixed the idle air control and an air intake tube that had a large split down the middle of it. Any other repairs on my cars in the future as long as Im in the Albany area Ill be taking to Danes. Thanks again, guys.

Danes Auto Service is one of the best shops Ive been to. Ive known him and his mechanic John for most of my life. Theyre both honest, hard working, and they do the job right at a price thats fair! I had them put an engine and thermostat in my 06 Mazda 6 and it runs great no issues. They work on both classic and modern vehicles and both have a wealth of knowledge. Id recommend Danes Auto Service to anyone.

Needed our radiator replaced and called around to a few shops in Albany. Dane was the only one that could get us in the next day and was also far cheaper than anyone else. Over 500$ cheaper than the big shop in town. Well use him as our mechanic for as long as we live in Albany. Cant say enough good things about him, would highly recommend!

Dane is wonderful. I was given a hand-me-down vehicle from a family member, and it had a plethora of issues that only time could expose. Dane fixed them all and worked with my budget every time. He’s just a real, down to earth guy, who isn’t trying to sell you on anything, and genuinely wants to help. I’ll never take a vehicle to another shop.

The check engine light came on on my 03 Tundra a couple days ago. Within minutes of my scheduled appointment Dane explained what had caused the light to emit, the system that was effected, and how much it would cost to fix. Incredibly surprised to see any negative reviews directed towards Dane. We broke down on the i5 heading home to Canada. We were towed by a lovely gentleman to Danes to rent a uhaul to get us and our vehicle home. Dane and his associate Brand (hope that is right) were absolutely outstanding humans. They were so incredibly kind during a very stressful and emotional time. I will remember my experience with Dane s for the rest of my life.

Late last night my car started overheating. This morning I was in a blind panic looking for someone to look at it today. After at least 11 phone calls, to shops booking out several days to several weeks, Danes simply said to bring it in. Within 10 minutes it was being inspected. Another 10-15 from that they had a diagnosis. They immediately ordered a part and had me up and running just an hour and a half from my initial call. Considering this included a trip to the ATM on my part, I am nothing short of impressed. The also didnt swindle me out if my paycheck. John and Dane were personable as well which made the transaction a pleasant one. I will definitely consider this my transportations ER.

Best people I have ever seen with auto repair. Quick, honest and top people.

I took my car in for a timing belt/water pump change. Dane was pleasent and charged me $945.00. After 2 weeks of rentals cars I got it back. The next day the Oil light came on and was told to bring it back in. On my way back to his shop the engine bay caught fire. I cannot legally prove incompetency but I can give my honest account of dealing with this shop. I do not recommend anyone to this place of business.

Rented a U-Haul truck. The vehicle performed well and there were no problems with it nor with the billing and charges. But, I will never do business with Dane again. I was neither demanding nor impatient. He is one of the most unpleasant persons I have ever dealt with. All I would ask for someone who provides a service to act as if they appreciate the customers business. That will not happen here. I can find the same price for a U-Haul at another place where I dont feel like I am bothering them to do business with them.

Renting a uhual is fast and easy here which they are very quick to get you out the door, employees are very respectable. The problem on why this is worth 1 star that this business is not organized, lack of integrity and the owner Dane has a bad attitude that jumps to conclusions, now I have rented here a few times and never had problem before until recently on which the owner accused myself of damaging a vehicle on which I told him that the vehicle was not damaged in my care, but the unprofessional hot tempered person can not control himself and will not listen to reason.My personal opinion, nobody should ever rent a uhual here again, but if you do because you are a grown adult I highly suggest you do before pick up photos or videos of the vehicle then afterwards so this does not happen to you. Reserved a U-haul online. Went to the address and the garage building with the Dane’s sign. Some miserable old man with his shoulder in a sling was rude, sprayed my feet with a hose, and told me to move. I don’t know who this sour lump of humanity was but he has no business anywhere near a business.If you MUST rent a truck from Dane’s, please don’t get out of you vehicle until you find the 10” x 15” piece of cardboard taped to the side of the building that says “U-Haul Office”.
