Nice, quiet, hidden gem of Alamogordo.Here for a quick visit and this spot was #1 on my want list! Thank you for having great coffee and a great Staff. 2 young men one in Eagles mask. Ill give him a pass on his football taste!!Definitely need to stop here.Hopefully my husband gets his panini before he leaves town.

One of the worst breakfast sandwiches ever. Very little egg, slightly more ham type lunch meat, and a gluey cheese substance. Not even edible.

Cute place!! I’m from Arizona and I came to El Paso to visit my family and we decided to pay Alamogordo a visit. We stopped by this cafe and the service was very friendly and the service quick! The inside is spacious and it’s awesome that they have such a big patio! The scenery is beautiful too.

The barista is very friendly and calm. Calm atmosphere, beautiful furniture and both interior and exterior design. BEAUTIFUL LOOKOUT. Prime location. Quality products and lots of space.

I saw the awesome reviews and decided to go for a little alone time. It was fine; everything was just okay, but it was a nice spot to go to have some coffee and relax. I had a signature hot drink, a panini, and a scone. The coffee was fine, the panini wasnt cooked quite long enough and still soft but tasted pretty good, and the scone tasted good but wasnt fresh and tasted like it had been sitting for a while. All of that to say, it didnt live up to they hype of some of the reviews, but it is a place I would go to again for a cup of coffee and a view.

Somebody recommended us to stop here and get some coffee, the place is very clean, The employees are extremely courteous and very knowledgeable, love the way they serve their coffee with ice being made out of coffee The flavor lasts throughout the day their food was excellent highly recommended

Employees, apparently family members, are rude to customers. This young individual was being very disrespectful to my wife, her friend, and in front of some younger children. Was messy when hastily making the dessert that they forgot, and got even more rude when given some constructive advice from someone who has graduated restaurant management. While my family was trying to enjoy their dessert and the sunset, this same person had the audacity to come out and kick my family off the premises. Beware of this business. If the owner has common decency, he should refund the $18.07 she paid. Although thats not near enough apology for the way my wife and friends were treated.

Unhappy with the service. I ordered black coffee, no room, and they just decided on their own its ok to add a little cream ugh. Ruined the coffee. If i say let me add the cream myself, thats what I mean.Wasted trip. Sweetened creamer too, yuck.

The over place is nice great location the view is nice from the patio but for a Sunday they seemed a bit under staffed. The coffee was good but to wait a while to get it along with the food. I was expecting something different and it left me wanting.

Coffee is great but view might be better!If you are a fan of the New Mexico sunset come and have a coffee here! The coffee shop is nestled in the foothills and sits on top of a little plateau overlooking Alamogordo and the San Andres mountains to the west.My pictures dont do it justice but it is a truly beautiful place in Alamogordo.

Always yummy coffees & teas. Great sammies, esp love the Rueben(extra 1000 Island dressing...yes please!). Friendly servers, great atmosphere indoors & sunset patio.Beats run-of-the-mill ordinary starbucks & dunkin donuts hands down!

We went 3 different days and they were out of cold brew in the early morning. It would be nice if there was a place to view the menu before you get to the window and ask for it. The coffee was good though and the staff was friendly.

Great coffee, INCREDIBLE views, good place to hang out and meet friends and colleagues....a local jewel...OH and the gelato is great...sandwiches, paninis, and pastries are also served. They have teas and an ENTIRE WALL OF BOTTLES OF FLAVORS. They have a drive through that is veru convenient.

I delightful experience with a delicious scone in scrumpshus Tea. Great service in a place that has old fashioned telephone décor and a wonderful view from the outside patio.

Saw all these awesome reviews and my family and I decided to give it a try yesterday. We bought five different hot coffees / coco and all of them were extremely watered down and tasteless. The drinks were terrible, and none of us finished our drinks. A shame since the cafe has such a pretty view when you go.

I was in there the other day & the young man had to deal with a rude lady because they didn’t have chocolate ice cream but went out of his way to put chocolate syrup on vanilla ice cream & didn’t even charge then continued to complain about every drink that was made then called her husband to get him in trouble. He was very professional never rude & made amazing drinks for us!!! The picture that SC posted of the ice cream was after they had eaten it, I SAW THEM EATING IT!!! Thank you again for the drinks & I apologize that you had to deal with rude entitled people like that!!!

Best coffee around, by far!!! I enjoy the beautiful view on the porch while sipping my coffee. The baristas are talented and friendly. Plateau also has a drive through.

This was my first visit to Alamogordo as well as Plateau Espresso. Everyone was so very welcoming to us, and everything was spot on! Ive been back many times for the wonderful coffees and spectacular views!!!

This place is top notch!!! When we came back to Alamogordo on our vacation this year one of our go to places had to be the Plateau Espresso. The view from there is fantastic and the service is too. Great place to congregate and just unwind and relax.

The view is nice and location is good. Only problem is consistency, when i first got stationed in New Mexico back in 2015 the coffee was really good. Now fast forward to 2019 i order the same drink i always get and past three times it was either bitter or had a foul taste like creamer maybe expired. Ill still go here cause i know not everyone that works there makes coffee the same.

First timer to this coffee shop. Had a latte, iced coffee and some pastries. Did not disappoint and will come back.

Best coffee in Alamogordo. SC gave a bad review I was there when the incident happened his wife was very rude and disrespectful to employee’s. I personally think they have the best customer service and their employees are very professional.

People like to come here to study but its kind of out of the way, not the best products. In my opinion theres a lot better options, I almost prefer a fast-food place over this. Unless you really like coffee or youre meeting right after a college class I dont recommend.

The coffee offerings are pretty basic, nothing fancy or unique but still tasty. Pastries dont look homemade - again, standard these days. I wasnt impressed but I wasnt disappointed either. Staff seemed friendly.Large location with indoor and outdoor seating. Great view of the mountains and Alamogordo. Probably a good place for informal meetings or to sit and get some work done on your laptop. Looks like they had a Drive thru as well which is awesome.

Delicious coffee, great atmosphere, and a better value than that other coffee place! Great place to meet friends for a relaxing chat. They have the largest selection of sugar free syrups in town, perfect when one is trying to keep New Years resolutions. Highly recommended!

Great place to by and enjoy a nice cup of joe! This is our second time visiting Alamogordo and this is our second time here! We will stop by every time we are in town. The view is outstanding. We havent tried any of the hot food, only the pastries. Pastries are good too!

I like Plateau well enough, especially the view and seeing as its one of the few coffeehouses in town. Can get quite noisy at times with the totally open layout and all-tile floors, especially when theyre grinding coffee in the new machine. Love the patio and the view! And very good coffee, especially the hazelnut. If youre going in the evening though just make sure you get there to order by 8 pm! Very disappointing that they seem to start closing between 8 and 8:30, when theyre open till 9; they pour out the coffee, are reluctant to make drinks, and put up chairs and tables a half-hour before close. I get it that you want to prep things for close to get home asap, but just actually close an hour earlier, rather than make customers feel the need to leave. Friendly baristas! Just need a little more development with customer service abd hospitality skills. Not a reason not to visit!

Everything about this place is enjoyable

Great views of the valley and mountains. The menu has all the regulars such as latte, mocha, espresso and chai. I ordered the latte with whole milk because they did not have 2%. My partner got pistachio gelato which was delicious. The inside is clean but lacks ambience. The furniture is essentially card tables and folding chairs, and two large couches. This particular morning, many people wereplaying cards, so if you are a card shark looking for a game, this is the place for you.

It’s always very clean in here. The employees are really nice and have good costumer service skills. The coffee is always great and always ready right away!

Stopped by for a coffee because I was not impressed with Starbucks and it was much better! The barista was very nice and was helpful! Awesome place, great scenery!!

I just moved here from Mississippi and was looking for a new coffee shop. Im so glad I tried this one first. The view is stunning, the coffee is delicious (got a latte with hazelnut and coconut), and the price is just right. Cheaper than Starbucks, and the quality is so much better.

The food is well made, some items are better made than others, but good nonetheless. The coffee is outstanding! The rest of the drinks are always fantastic as well.The customer service you receive is what sets this place apart from all of the coffee places in town, always smiling and always happy to serve their customers!The view is also one of the best in town!

Great location and good coffee. Plateau is an excellent place to come and either work or study or even to just get together with a few people to chat. The environment is relaxed and comfortable and just a stones throw from the NMSU Alamogordo campus. Highly recommend.

I didnt think Id find decent coffee in Alamogordo, let alone at 3p. When the other two coffee shops in town had closed and I was headed to the Space Museum, I swung through here. The service was fast, friendly, my coffee was great, and the place was packed with happy patrons. Would definitely go back here over and over again! I had wished I knew they did food before eating some lame snack before going there, because it looked pretty delicious.

This place is so badass New Mexico should make it a state park.Free refills ALL DAY youre there.The space you get at a table and away from other tables.The view you get when you sit outside or near the window.The food. The couches. The book shelf. I cant even. I have to stop now.

You gotta try the Cappuccino Milkshake!!!! This place has a great view of the city. Nice people and there is always something going on here. The chess club plays on Monday, college students doing homework and the occasional guitar/ukulele lesson. The couchs are great to kick back and relax on. They also sell gelato, sandwiches and any flavor if coffee you can think of.

Wonderful view and seems to be a very popular place to be. I was disappointed in the welcome to be honest. She was very blunt and seemed dismissive. The drink was perfect and the options are vast.

Countless flavor options for great coffee! Decent selection of goodies and small selection of medium entrées. Better food by far than most coffee shops. Ive tasted everything on the menu and recommend the Reuben or the Chicken Portobello. Great place for a first/coffee date! Prices are slightly higher than average

The food was much better than I had anticipated. Portions are large along with reasonable prices and the workers are friendly. The chai tea here is the best Ive had anywhere, WAAAAYY better than Starbucks. We will definitely become frequent customers.
