If I could give zero stars I would!! Absolutely terrible took my car in to get my tire checked and now my brakes are to the floor. Of course they dont want to take responsibility but its now leaking brake fluid by the same tire they worked on. My break were just fine before I took it in!!!! They need to be held accountable and they better hope nothing happens while the kids are in the car!!!!!!!!!!!!
Had to take my two rear tires in to have them prorated. Main st did the depth and paperwork. Had to go to the chapel hill Firestone to see if they could do the tires. They had to fix a few things on the papers, but had the tires in stock. They was a little busy but got done in a very good time. Thank you to the guys at Chapel Hill Firestone Tire.
Replaced my exhaust system and the quote they gave me was ridiculous so I talked down to a more reasonable number. Had a deal, then when I went to pick it up they charged the initial rate and would not give me my car back without paying the ridiculous charge. The service was good, just the pricing and bad experience I had there makes this 2 stars.
Complete RIP OFF I went for a fuel leak I was told I needed 2 lights that were out, I was then quoted a price and agreed for the work to be done but they only did the fuel line not the lights but charged an entirely different price. Im glad I had a little extra money that day because you cant say $350 but charge $403 for half the work!
Took my car for a bolt in the tire. Turns out it was just through the rubber and did not damage the tire. They took the bolt out and didnt charge me
Fast and customer friendly.
Great Customer Svc @ Chapel Hill location
I would give this a 1 star review normally but the employees were quite kind so Im giving them a 2 start review. I scheduled an appointment for today at 1pm which when you schedule an appointment they should theoretically work on your car at that time. My car sat for about 2 hours before being taken in. I was told it would take between an hour to two hours to be completed. By the time it was finished (4 Tires and oil change) it had taken nearly 4 hours it was about 20 minutes shy of 4 hours. Literally almost half of an 8 hour shift to get my car done. I highly advise going somewhere else if youre trying to not have your whole day wasted. I could have easily gotten 4 Tires done within a half hour if I had the equipment they do to get stuff done maybe even less. Ive been to smaller tire shops where they only have 1-3 guys usually only 1 an they get it done in about 10 minutes. So Im not sure how it took 4 hours to do an oil change and tires. Even at Walmart it usual only takes a little over an hour to get it done. But yes dont appreciate paying nearly 550 dollars for 4 hours of my time. Tbh you should money off for me having to waste 4 hours of my day off that could have been spent doing any manner of things. Had I known it would take 4 hours id have gotten a ride home. But instead it took double the time I was first told.
Great service, went over my whole car and let me know what was needed and the cost.
I went in specifically to order an Interstate battery only to find out they no longer carry Interstate
Made an appointment a week ago to have my 4 snow tires mounted and balanced for today. I dropped my car off this morning at 6:30 AM. I checked at noon and was told by a girl with an attitude that they only had 2 techs today that she would call me when it was done. I checked at 3:00 and she again told me she would call when it was ready. I told her I was coming to get my car. I really try to use local businesses when I can especially during CoVid. We have purchased tires for 3 cars from there, within the last year. Also had alignments done that we had to take back to have redone on 2 of the vehicles. I did speak to the manager and he did say they had 3 techs out. I understand that but it does not take long to mount and balance 4 tires. Had I not made an appointment last week for this I could understand, I am very sorry but they have lost our business.
Took my 2014 impala ltz extremely taken care of vehicle I paid for a lifetime alignment had a an appointment at noon 3/4/2021 called to pickup at 530 pm hands me the keys asked for paperwork at then the worker said they had problems with machine I left vehicle was worse off than I took it in called manager today 3/5/2021 I asked why they wouldnt tell me they had issues with alignment machine. manager then said it wasnt the machine now says I need all 4 control arms I asked why someone wouldnt call me he said we email you the quote and the paperwork what happened to calling and communicating I guess everything is covids fault never have I complained before but the rudeness and excuses made me do this review or maybe Ill just their excuse covid made me do it
Got an alignment with 1 year warranty. Car handled beautifully on my drive home.
Nice mechanics and staff
Super overcharged me they were not friendly at all
Always excellent service and honest people. Brought my car in a while ago for new brake pads since it had been quite sometime and they were squeaking at me. After taking the car back, the mechanic consulted with me that he thinks I could get at least 2 more years out of the ones I have (only half way worn and Ive had the current ones about 2 years) and that it might just be salt/moisture from the time of year. Didnt even charge for the diagnosis. This has now been my regular place for other car issues and maintenance:)
Theyre open 7 days a week which is great a little expensive to me
Had a really good experience at this store, the sales lady Emily was extremely nice and gave really good advice on tires for my vehicle. Would recommend talking to her every time
They been saying my car will be done “tomorrow” for the past week when they specifically told me when I dropped it off that it would be done the next day! Every time I go pass the place the car is just sitting there!!
Reluctant to fix and or replace a tire over the phone, and Completely ignores customers as they come in and stand at the counter waiting to be seen for over 20 minutes! So,I left!
Had a good first experience today. Alex made the appointment for me and then when I called back to come sooner, it wasnt a problem. Inside contact was James. Both men were pleasant and professional. Ill be back and hope the same level of experience is had.
Great service, I will be back
Biggest rip off I ever experience in my lifetime overpriced and only can do small jobs. The employees were kind.
Good service
Aaron is the mechanic that works on both my cars. I have never had any issues with his work. Just remember this isnt a fast food joint. Sometimes things take longer than expected since we do live in Ohio, and cars tend to rust, break, and not come apart due to the weather we drive in. They work on all types of vehicles including imports.
Ive got tires & brakes here. Great service so far. No complaints.
Good staff, qualified techs. Good to have this repair shop in the neighborhood.
Excellent and quick service. The place to go if you need tires
I have been a long time customer. They are honest and I trust them. Being a woman not all vehicle repair shops treat you the same. They have price matched for me. Jeff is always on top of things and communicates well. I think their technicians are very knowledgeable and do the job right the first time and at a competitive price. I would highly recommend this location!!!
I dont know why they set appointments and they dont keep them. I can understand getting a little behind but there for 2 hrs for 1 tire. They could have been more helpful. I prefer the one at chapel hill
Had great experiences here until today. Had a 9:30am appointment for an oil change. Dropped the car off at 9:15. I called for a check in at 12:30 and they said they were just about to pull it in. No problem..until 3 hours later. I called back since I had not heard anything. They said they were about to pull it in. I told them not to and picked it up untouched. If I wanted an oil change at 4pm, I would have scheduled it at 4pm.
They were great and super helpful
Always excellent service.
Great service. Why go to a discount tire store, when you can get the same price on better tires, here? Fast service. Im and out. Ask for Fulton. Hell give you the best price!
Overall great experience. The staff are all polite and professional. I had to wait a while for new tires and alignment, and the waiting area is very clean and comfortable, with satellite TV!
Dealing with major health issues is never fun, especially around the holiday season, but on top of that to have your vehicle vandalized makes things even worse. I had the catalytic converters cut off of my truck on 11/24/19 my truck was towed to this store on Tuesday, the manager Andrew got it in and estimated and even dealt with my insurance company. Today is 12/4/19 and I just got my truck back, I cant thank Andrew or the technician Richard enough for getting me taken care of so quickly and professionally. Kudos to you both.
In my multiple experiences, the crew go above and beyond to help their customers. They are always professional, polite, friendly, informative. They have never been patronizing or left me feeling talked down to. They also have great hours, even Sundays!
Got the job done and even did extra work. Needed an alignment after the work was done but their lift is down at the moment, even with that the way it feels driving it Im willing to bet he eyeballed it to perfection and probably dont need one but Ill.still get it checked to make sure.
Thesw guys are fantastic! Service is great as is the quality of work. Prices are about average, so what you would get anywhere. Overall, I can say this is my new place for maintenance and tires. The warranty on tires is legit as well. I had brakes, struts, shocks, tires, lights, wiper blades, and an alignment done in a single day and didnt waste anytime waiting. Will definitely be going here again
They had no record of previous visits with vehicles we had in the past. They had to send out for a part to fix our vehicle with and were done sooner than expected. They were very nice and the only thing I really didnt like was that they left our vehicle unlocked with the windows partially down and I had left the GPS unit on the front seat and had personal belongings in there that I was lucky to still have.
I love this place!!! The mechanics are honest and up front. There has never been any surprises. They get the job done fast and right the first time!! They honor their warranties. I wouldnt go any where else!!!
Great location right on a big street. Ample parking space. Cooperative employees. Facility was clean. The waiting room was equipped well. Childrens toys are available for ur little ones. Walk ins for flat tires etc are welcome.
Was great service, cant say enuff about the staff.. Ill be back for all my car needs.. thanks to the staff and mechanics
Needing to replace the tires on my wifes, pride and joy, 2003 Chevrolet Alvanche Z71; I called a couple of tire dealers including Firestone. All of the dealers quickly provided me with their best offer to replace my existing Firestone Destination tires and then offered to beat any other dealers price except for Firestone. I do not have time to pursue bogus quotes; as I do have old school character and knowledge. I quickly made an appointment with the Firestone Auto Care store on South Main Street in Akron, Ohio. It was a pleasure working with professionals that provide customers with accurate quotes upfront and explain the Ps and Qs associated with my needs. The service desk personnel, Angelia, was a pleasure to work with, was very knowledgeable about my needs, and treated me with respect. That is why I would recommend this location to people that are in need of honest straight forward service on their automobiles at fair prices.
They couldnt help me because they were fully booked but one of their canton stores were able to take me on short notice for a tire plug and I decided to have my oil changed while there as well and they gladly helped me out. Thank you to both stores for getting this done for me on a Sunday where most service garages are closed.
Always like Firestone still a little pricey but quality work
Been here twice already, first was for tie rods and second was for belts. I was a bit wary of the pricing of the work but they were communicating and understanding, never has it been easier to get great auto work done from reasonable and down to earth people!
Got serviced quick and with professionalism...I would refer anyone to this location..
Poor experience. Went to get tired and an alignment. They never wrote on work order that I wanted alignment. Had to call back n make sure it was on work order. It wasnt. I also asked for a front end inspection because I have a shake in steering wheel. Manager said when tires were on if it still does it to bring back then and then they will look at it. I dont have time to take back because employees dont wanna do the job while my truck was there. I dropped off my truck at 900 this morning n was told 300 pick up. We had to add alignment because they never put it on work order so he said it would be 500 to 600 for front end check. Needless to say,I got my truck back at closing n was told they didnt have enough employees to any other work on work order. I should of got it back by 300. So it took 9 and a half hrs to put new tires on my truck n still didnt get the alignment or front end inspection. Im not happy with the service and time it took to install 4 new tires. Will not b going back to this Firestone ever again. Poor service.. I give 0 stars. This was rediculess had to put one star to post
They did a great job
They use the tired hard sales pitch that their policy only allows them to sell 4 tires. They dont want your money.
Great and friendly staff that is knowledgeable and reliable.
Great place to have your car serviced or checked out. Extremely friendly and always helpful. Open longer than most places and on Sundays.
Firestone always does a good job and explains everything
Other than being 2 hours behind schedule. They took great care of me. If it wasnt for Lisa I would have walked out
Very friendly and helped me save money on my tire purchases by letting me know the best promotions and informing me about which options I could do without. I really appreciate the honesty.
They were thorough but they told me 45 minutes to check out a new car and it was actually an hour and a half. I did not buy that car due to what they found. They dabbed me from a lemon.
Got me in and fixed same day. Cost was not unreasonable but on the high side but fixed the problem in 3 hours. My truck is running good again.
#Amish I apologize for my so-called friend Andrew he know not what he does you should know better than give any other business anything but a 5-star review you do realize that they have a computer also right?
Simple tire patch, (had insurance so should cost nothing...) told me it would cost 20.00 for the repair, they broke my lock key took them three days to get the new one ordered, and even forgot to call me..mean while I had zero transportation to work because they had not gotten a chance to fix it. Then had told me that I would need to pay for the key.
I had no problems until recently. I made an appt. so I could be seen on time, but had to wait because it took them longer on someone elses car. Once I got in they had to work on the powering steering completed it, but messed up my air bag by breaking clips on it causing it to have a warning light. They went on to brake pieces of my steering wheel column because it was installed wrong. Andrew one of the leads or supervisors told me to take it to Vandevere and he would reimburse me for the damage. The way the reimbursed me was by putting the money back on my in store credit card with them. I still owe Vandevere for what they did. I am totally disappointed with their care. They shouldnt be allowed to call it complete care because it is not, that title is misleading and wrong
Great service but you have to wait all day if not days to get your car back.
Last minute tire mount, balance, and getting it on my car. Fast, friendly, professional service. Very happy with my visit
This place has been at the same location for over 100 years and started out as the Firestone Rubber company, It isnt quite as big as it used to be back in the early 1900s but still a great service station, oh yea and when it was the Firestone Rubber Co, back in 1917 Clark Gable held his first job there!
Very good service and awesome staff. Best to make an appointment
The hours posted for this location are unclear. They seem to open and close on Sundays at will, depending on if they have a technician who is willing to show up to work on that day. This location has gotten worse and worse recently. I dont ever see familiar faces - the employee turnover must be high. They always seem busy and stressed out, like they over book appointments or are understaffed. The last few times I took my car here for something simple, like an oil change and tire rotation, something wasnt done when I got there to pick it up, even though they claimed it had been done. Tires not rotated, tires not inflated, fluids not checked and topped off, alignment not done; theres ample other evidence of employees rushing like fluid spills, missing parts, etc.Their paid for (not free) vehicle inspections failed to pick up things my mechanic noticed later that week, like bad wheel bearings, bad suspension parts, and other safety items that Firestone would have noticed had they bothered to look at all (meaning they charged me for this inspection but did not perform it, or did so very quickly and poorly).Recently, I had a 10am appointment for an oil change and tire rotation (this should take... maybe an hour or two tops?); they called me to tell me the vehicle was ready for pickup at 3pm (5 hours later), only to call me back later in the day and tell me it wouldnt be ready until the next day, maybe, at the earliest, if they can get a tech to show up on a Sunday. If its not done, I wont have a way to get to work.I have checked my dash-cam several times after the car came back from this location, and noticed the employees racing it at high speeds on the property behind the building more than once. I understand thats where they do test drives, but taking the car to 6,000RPM in first and second gear shouldnt be part of a test drive after simply rotating tires.Prices are higher than an Infiniti dealership with similar warranties and worse quality parts and labor. $80 fee to look at any problem. Ive been quoted outrageous amounts for brake jobs, like $1,500, by Firestone, then had a neighboring shop perform the same work for a fraction of the cost, multiple times.I would love to use this location for my regular mechanic work, and not just oil changes and tire rotations, but they dont inspire confidence in their work or attempt to build lasting relationships with customers, from my point of view.I continue to go here only for the lifetime alignments / rotations I purchased, and cheap oil changes.
After dealing with this Branch of Firestone for 10 years - I can no longer tolerate them.Call me old fashion but I believe the customer is always right, so when I ask for a specific repair - i.e., replace a specific fuse... I dont need a discussion about needing an electrical check $$ - I know what blew the fuse.... I did!Saturday, March 11th - I had my car towed there. In a previous repair - I instructed them to replace my transmission line - they called with good news - they save me $!00 by patching the line. At the time I was annoyed - I wanted the line replace.Fast forward 2 years - the link developed another leak.. This time I was informed by them, that they are not transmission specialists and they refused to do the repair due to liability issues - they wouldnt accept a signed a waiver of potential damage. So, my walk away is that this branch does not stand behind theyre corporate Motto...Firestone... THE COMPLETE AUTO CARE
Fast, courteous service. Great tire selection.
I brought a car in here today -well, the person buying it from me did (for a quick inspection). They came up with something like $800 in brake work, saying it had grooves in the rotors and needed new callipers. Thing is, Im a mechanic -i took it home and got it up on jack stands. They brakes did indeed need some work, but no grooves in the rotors -and the callipers just needed new guide bolts on one side. Careful bringing your car here.
I hit a nail with my full size trailer tire in akron. I was far from home so I went to firestone to get a quick patch. They informed me that I needed to take off the tire and give it to them to fix. I told them I have no tools and I need just a wrench and lift to get the tire off. They refused to let me use any tools. So here I am, no tools and no way to give them my tire. How dose a complete auto and tire repair shop have no way to help a simple patch job. I understand rules, but why should you leave someone stranded.
Very slow service, one mechanic was scrolling through Facebook while he was supposed to be performing work on another vehicle, over an hour to change 1 tire
UPDATE: Staff attended to my car even knowing that doing so would make them extremely late for closing time. Saved me out of a jam. Had a nail stuck in my tire. Downside was they took my old tires (they did ask me if they could, but I didnt realize what I was giving up). even though they had some value to them and I found out later I could have perhaps just patched the tires.
It is nice place to have our cars cared and maintained well.
Very pleased with my Firestone experience! Good service and price!
I have a lifetime alignment and tire rotation. I call and make the appointment. I tell them I have an F250, 4 door, short bed. He says our large machine is broken, but it will fit in the other machine. I say are you sure as I am 49 minutes away and do not want to come if it cannot be done. Well they try and them tell me my truck is 2 too long. What a wasted trip and my my time.
If you have quality wheels, don’t go here. Their ignorance for taking care of custom wheels is absurd.I just picked up my wheels that were scuffed from their lack of care for other peoples property. When I intially went to see if if could be done, they had the service tech and service manager come see if they could mount my tires and they said it could be done. Yeah it can be, at the expense of scratching up my SSR SP4 lips. Never coming back here again and I don’t recommend anyone to either.Finding a good place to mount tire on custom wheels is such a PITA.
Continuously awful customer service. Each time I decide to give them a shot at my business, they remind me why I had been avoiding them. Past experiences with incompetent Firestone technicians don’t compare to the poor customer service I experienced today, and to top it all off, the service manager, who caused the issue, refused to even come talk to me. They also refused to provide me any contact information for Firestone corporate.
Friendly service and great work
Slow service 2 hour to change a tire
They used to be able to do same day oil changes, but anymore their wait time is hours long.
To busy with not enough employees equals long waits.
I took my wifes 05 prius in for rear brake shoes and they told me it needed shoes, drums, front rotor, front pads, and brake fluid flush...A 300 dollar job was quoted $1500. I guess they did not want my money....long story short, took it to another shop, they changed the brake shoes and said everything else in the brake system was in perfect condition....not gonna fool me again firestone!!
Friendly service clean environment and a charging station for your phone, honest service!
Guy was nice, put new wipers on my car for free
They wear very nice
I brought my brand new car here for an oil change, it took them an hour, then a week later my engine oil light came on, and checked to find there was no oil at all. Never trusting this place or going through the hassle of trying to get a refund or hold them accountable for their mistake.
Great service friendly mechanics always do a good what ever the problem.
Jst rmbr. they are not ar Summit Mall anymore. The webpage isnt updated to reflect this.
They did a good job in a timely manner.
Gave me a high quote.
For this type of place, there are definitely worse places you can go. This place is pretty honest, but expect to pay premium prices.
Nice store inside and manager is very helpful.
Long story short: they tried to take advantage of my girlfriend because she didnt know much about cars. When confronted, they refused to do any work at the quoted price citing safety concerns but offered to do the work if I bought the more expensive (4x) lifetime warranty on the brakes. Details below. My girlfriend went in for a brake job which was quoted at $115, they call her a few hours later telling her she needs to replace the rotors and the calipers and itll cost $785. She calls me and I head over to Firestone to see how a $115 job turned into a $785 job. They tell me that the calipers are frozen, I ask them how they diagnosed this, they tell me they did a visual inspection but offered no real diagnostic test.To show me, they place a tool on the steering wheel that depresses brakes and spins the rotors. Unconvinced, I decide to depress the brake myself, lo and behold, the rotors did not move and the calipers are engaged. So I ask them to do the brakes for the quoted price and leave the calipers alone. They offer to replace the brakes and rotors for $465 and give me a lifetime warranty. I decline and ask them to do the brakes for the quoted price and they tell me they are unable to do so citing safety concerns, even though they just offered to do them if I paid the more expensive package. They clearly just advertised a price to entice customers and then choose to screw their customers over so they can make extra cash. I took it down to another shop without telling them what happened at Firestone. They replaced the rotors and brakes for $235 with no hassle. When we pick up the car I ask them if there was anything wrong with the calipers, they told me they were in great condition. This was the worst experience Ive ever had with a company.
Best customer service for auto repairs in Akron. Colton rules.
Took my car in because it was pulling to the left while driving. Told the guys what was going on with my vehicle and that it had something to do with my break caliper sticking. They checked it out and said that they found nothing wrong with it. Also wanted an alignment check that didnt get checked out because they say they forgot to check it. I had enough so I promptly left. Took it to another car repair shop and sure enough it was a bad caliper piston. Very unprofessional and its a good thing I know somethings about cars or these guys would have left me in great danger. Taking a chance of the caliper locking up completely while driving on the highway. They may leave a reply to try and compensate for the lack of professionalism, but quite frankly I have not the time nor the luxury to sit and wait in a shop for nothing. Nor do I even have the time to write this review. This is simply to save someone else from the trouble that I went through when it could have simply been fixed there at the time I explained to them what was going on with my breaking system. I will be a customer to firestone auto repair never again!!! No stars from me, but because I have to select one to leave this review that is the only reason there is one star.
Quickly changed my tire when I was I a hurry
Friendly staff fast service
Great people!!!! However timing especially on oil changes can be a little better! Angela and Jason are bomb!!!
