We visited Sedara Sweets to buy Turkish Delight and Baclava and we were not disappointed! They had so many varieties to choose from. Our first visit there, we overheard two other groups come in behind us who were also first time visitors. Well be back for more delicious treats!

Delicious! Each piece of Turkish Delight is unique and all are excellent. There are no wrong choices here. Cant wait to try the Baklava.

Baklava lovers rejoice. They have 12 trays of different baklava and Middle Eastern sweets. Very good! The serve Cedar Crest ice cream, ahhhh.

This was such a sleeper hit!My wife and I were heading to DQ, but then she changed her mind and wanted to try this place. It was amazing! The selection was so vast! I had no idea baklava could be served in so many forms. The loqhum (which I would describe as a sweet and heavy gummie) was a first for me, but it is so good! Exactly sweet enough, and portioned in two bites (dont recommend single biting these). Then, we got some ice cream (still, lots of choices) to eat there, and I was glad too. The atmosphere was so comfortable and the cushions felt so good to sit in and lean against. Not a lot of table space, but it is better for the times we are in now.Most, and best, of all, the guy behind the counter was amazingly helpful. He knew so much and helped guide our way through the large selection without feeling like we were getting pitched what to order. He definitely gave us everything we needed to hear to be confident that, even though we had never had any of this before, we were confident that we would enjoy our selection of Turkish delights.If you want something sweet, not expensive, and new for your pallet, then please give this place your time. I really doubt that you will regret any choice you make here.Next time we go, my wife is going to try their fresh pressed coffee and I am getting a fresh smoothie.

My husband and I loved everything about this shop. It was beautiful and impeccably clean. When you walk in the door, it is as though you are transported to the Middle East. The décor is beautiful. The man behind the counter was very kind and attentive. We could only get ice cream, but we certainly wanted one of everything. The pastry case is so clean and appealing. Everything looks so beautiful, delicious, and tempting. The ice cream was fresh, the perfect texture, and tasted so good. I cant wait to go back.

So freaking good! And the dude that was working there was chill and definitely knew all of the sweets inside and out! Which helped make my choices. Definitely will be back to try the other sweets they have, which are many, so its going to be many trips there

I dont think Ive had better baklava in my life!! Fantastic icecream, better prices & even better portion sizes (you get so much bang for your buck) and such a beautiful little shop! I will be ordering the Carmel icecream again and again and again. Pretty sure Ill eat my weight in baklava sometime in the near future. It was even delicious on day two!! Would DEFINITELY recommend!

Very friendly service and nice ambiance.I will be making this a regular stop when Im in the neighborhood.The sweats are delicious and accessible to anyone with a remotely diverse palette.The savories are also delicious. We found them to be a perfect fusion of middle eastern food with a american twist, but that may not be enough to make them fully accessible to an exclusively American palette.Great coffee.

I like going to Sedara. The sweets selection is great. However, the customer service this last time was not as good as its always been! The guy greeted us really quick, and went off to speak with a man in a suit who wasnt even a customer. They were chit chatting together as if my friend and I didnt even exist. We waited and waited and felt totally ignored! Until my friend said, We are ready to order. We ordered a lot and werent even offered to get that big box deal they promoted for! We werent even offered spoons and napkins. We had to go back and ask him for it to hand them to us. I dont like being rushed! This guy doesnt know customer service and clearly needs training! The female attendant was AMAZING last time we went. Where was she? Im disappointed.

The sweet is very good, but pricy.The shawarma is so bad, especially the sauce. I gave 4 stars as I hope it is a one time event.

Key Lime ice cream was AMAZING! Had to get basbousa & baklava on my way out. Since you already sell saffron rahat lokum, what about making a saffron ice cream? & guava ice cream, & canteloupe ice cream? I miss those flavors very much. Tasty food and sweets

I live in the neighborhood close to this eatery and visit frequently. The staff is super friendly, the place is always clean, and the selection of baklava is great! If you live around there and you are a coffee drinker I really suggest the coffee subscription because you can definitely get your moneys worth out of it.The redesign of the shop interior was so good! The graphic design work they use is also really charming.

Ive been keeping on eye on this place thanks to Yelp and Google Reviews, but after seeing the food truck drive by I thought I was overdue for a trip. Sedaras did not disappoint! I was so surprised to see the large variety of turkish delights and baklava. I thought I was only going to get a couple of pieces, but the nice younger man behind the counter suggested getting either 10 or 20 pieces for cost savings. I got 10 different pieces of baklava and there were still more options that I didnt try! They had chocolate, hazelnut, pistachio, cherry pistachio, almond, rose water and classic. They all looked so good and of the ones Ive tried they are all so delicious! Ive only had baklava 3-4 times, but this was by far the best Ive ever had!

Went because of the good ratings and my craving of baklava. The baklava was fair but not worth the price. The price didnt add up to the size and taste of the baklava. The ice cream was okay. I tried the pirate something and I thought it was too sweet.

I love this place. Lots of choices for coffee and tea, lots of choices for sweets. Everything Ive ever had was good. I havent had any lunch or dinner food yet but plan to soon. Definitely recommend and I will definitely go back.

Terrible. We had them at Shrewsbury Nights. Numerous groups who had already ordered were complaining about the slow service, but we thought that might be a good sign that the food is worth it so we ordered and enjoyed the weather. After an hour wait, we got our pita, hummus, and schwarma. It was maybe the worst schwarma I have ever had. Cold and bland with very little flavor. The pita chips were over cooked and hummus was ok, but tasted like they picked it up from Schnucks on the way in and served it out of the container.Overall, it felt like two guys in a garage who were over their heads and have no idea how to actually make middle eastern food.Food trucks can be hit or miss at times, but between the poor service and low quality food this is one of the worst food truck experiences I have had in St Louis. Skip this one.

Ordered from the food truck around 6pm on Friday evening at the 9 Mile Garden. Wife thought the chicken salad sandwich was good. The Lamb Sliders were terrible - three processed lamp patties that resembled sausage patties. NO flavoring. A little dab of white sauce (of some kind) that had little to no taste. Nothing beyond that with the exception of bread. $12 for this was insulting. I would suggest skipping this food truck for anything else...

Awesome, authentic Turkish desserts. I was just visiting the area and decided to try. Decent prices and the sweets were beyond my expectation. Highly recommend the dessert from Sedara and I will definitely go back to this place when I visit St. Louis again.

I ordered off of grub hub which I have done many times because of the great food. I was disappointed when my coffee had come that I had bought for my nursing staff was delivered and mine was only half full. I did contact them on Facebook and the manager sent another full cup to my floor where I work. It was fabulous and I really appreciated the effort to correct the mistake. Thank you for taking care of this so quickly. The nurses of St. Louis appreciate you. My nursing floor sends for food coffee on a fairly regular schedule and Sedara is the first company to fix any issues that we had in such a fast efficient manner. Thank you so much.

The food quality keeps slipping, and the people they hire keep getting more and more unprofessional. It makes me sad; this used to be one of my favorite places to eat. the fries used to be the best fries in Afton, and now theyre overcooked and bland. The quality of the shawarma completely depends on whos making it. (A couple times Ive had it were it was missing ingredients.) They also seem to have a new person working the cash register every time I go, and each one is confused as to what the prices are. Sadly the latest cashier was a young man completely lacking in soft skills. It really makes me sad to watch this place slip.Edit: Many small businesses that I shop from have gone through significant changes because of COVID, but not a single one used it as an excuse for poor service and food quality. I will no longer be eating here.

I got the baklava sampler box and it was amazing. Everything tasted super sweet and nutty and the store was well decorated and the staff was very polite. This place is a must see for Iraqi sweets and delicious coffee and tea.

We brought the sampler home for the kids and they loved it. Service was great. Treats were awesome. We will go back.

Went in with the grand kids today for some delicious ice cream. The two employees there (I think Max and Jakob were their names) were extremely kind, helpful, and great with the kids. Max in particular was very nice and patient when explaining the different pastries they had. When we were seated with our ice cream, they talked about how great the place was to work in, and how great the owner was. He is certainly lucky to have such hardworking, and loyal staff. The ice cream was delicious and we will definitely be going there again if for no other reason than to support such a delightful small business here in Affton!

Love everything about this place, the Falafel Sandwich, the ice cream is good, the Baklava is amazing, the place is nice and the service has always been outstanding.

We stopped in for some ice cream on a hot summer night and to my surprise there was also a plethora of pastries, including more types of Baklava than I even knew existed! I stuck with the ice cream that I came for (which was delicious) but Ill definitely be back for pastries and coffee in the near future!

The staff was extremely helpful and friendly and the dessert servings were much bigger than expected! A single scoop of ice cream seems to be equivalent to at least two scoops in other places. And the brownie we ordered was gigantic! And delicious. Highly recommend.

My family loves this shop, have been here many times in the short time they have been open and will continue to come back. Ice cream and the treats we have tried are delicious. Brand new area ice cream and sweet shop. Real ice cream.... and they have sugar cones!!!! Baklava was really good and they have a huge selection. Also got a danish that was yummy. The two guys behind the counter were very friendly and knew the answers to all of my questions.

What a perfect end to an evening out! ice cream is creamy and rich just like it should be. coffee is wonderful especially the bourbon pecan flavor. the space is clean and staff is friendly along with a couple of tables for enjoying your ice cream outside!

This place is great! I love that I can get ice cream for breakfast here or maybe something just a little sweet or something just little savory. Also, the coffee is tasty too. This is the place to be at 8 am or 8 pm or anyway in between.

Wonderful homemade pastries, ice cream, coffee and iced coffee. The customer service was fantastic and the staff was well educated about how the different offerings were made. Love the mid-eastern baklava.

The desert pastries are authentic and fresh. If you are of Middle Eastern descent this will remind you of your Aunt’s baking. The ice cream is also excellent.

I just went there 25 mins ago it was hot outside and I wanted something to cool me off. My mom was naming place and then she said The ice cream place and thats when I knew we was going to best area. I love how when they explain how the scoops work you get to pick cup or cone I enjoyed their little treats I will admit some of workers be good looking 🤔

So i was there the other day to just explore after seeing good reviews. The workers there are very very friendly and they let you know what is good and whats recommended! So the selection is limited in Baklava but its good to those who have never tried them. The sizes of the baklava are ridiculously small because for the price they are charging i would imagine getting a big size baklava. I got 6 pieces for $32!!!! $32 for baklava that is horrible! Its really really expensive and its not all that. At least make the pieces bigger or bring down the prices because it looks like there trying to make there money off of us really quick!

Definitely would recommend going, and repeating often. Falafel was outstanding, try the dinner. Baklava super fresh, flaky, light, balanced. All the treats, coffee, and tea are original and remind us of home (be it Middle East or Balkans). Commendable work by the entire family. Congrats, keep it going!

Delicious Pistachio Baklava! My husband and I also enjoyed the Snowflake Flavor Ice Cream. We took home one regular Falafel and Chicken Shawarma. The young lady behind the counter was informative and helpful. We will definitely be back!

I found this place via GrubHub while needing to eat lunch one day and theyve become my favourite. I even visited the store in person. They are new to the plaza as of August 2019 (I believe). I especially like their falafel wrap and dinner plate. Ive also ordered their smoothies and baklava. I like everything, including the sweets. Im already a repeat customer.

We had the breakfast bread which resembles a small pizza. The dough was soft and flavorful. Cant wait to go back and try some sweets; they looked amazing!

I stopped in to this shop because I had read good reviews. I decided to order a chocolate malt because I haven’t had one in many years. It was a total disappointment! Very little chocolate, malt and ice cream. It tasted like 2% milk with a little Hershey added. Very thin a watery.

Some of the best baklava Ive ever had I bought from Sedara. My husband tried the beef shawarma and said it was delicious. I tried the manakeesh and it was great. The prices are super reasonable and the staff is quite friendly and accommodating. I definitely recommend this place.

We have been there twice so far and everything has been delicious. We have tried ice cream, coffee, various pistachio treats... all have been really good. I hope they stick around and the quality stays high.
