Was referred to Bill by a coworker when I mentioned Id just moved to the area and started noticing that my 2017 Ford Explorer was having issues shifting gears. When called, Bill told me to come on in and that hed take a look at it for me. Let me be clear...I dont know ANYTHING about cars, and it was pretty obvious when I tried to explain what was happening. Bill told me to bring it in and hed give it a once over for me. Upon my arrival, as Ive never used anyone but a dealer in working with my car, Bill came out and greeted me as if hed known me for years. We went over what the problem was again, and he simply told me to take the day off, dont worry, and Ill be in touch soon. All of this sounded too good to be true. But, very next morning, Bill called me and essentially said, hey, I pulled these codes when I ran diagnostics, and you really should go to the dealer to see if theyll do something for you.My jaw dropped. Literally dropped and my drink spilled all over my shirt and shoes. Here was a guy whom Id never met, and knowing that my transmission was failing, he was honest enough to tell me that it was an issue from a part Ford had put in when a recall was done.I tried everything to offer Bill and his team compensation for the work they put in, but he refused. He understood that I was just moving into the area and was already under enough stress. I cannot thank this business enough for all they did to help me work through the process with Ford, told me what i needed to mention, and then their follow up to make sure that things were going ok while I continue to deal with the dealership.Great service, great people and Id refer them to anyone and everyone who has transmission issues.

Tried using them for a transmission repair. and Passed on it. Told him my transmission drives fine until I hit a bump or something. then the computer is not communication with the TCU. I bought a repair kit for the pigtail T43 for my 6l80e Transmission. I know whats the issue with the heat and drive shaft the wiring ripped. need them repaired. no need to replace the whole engine wiring harness or even replace the TCU.Just like any other unfair shop as soon as I mentioned the miles and type of vehicle. he Magically assumed Transmission failure.Until I mention transmission rebuilt 1 year ago.got defensive and said why dont you use them.umm because youre local. What kind of question is that.I could have used him last year for the rebuilt but was asking 2,950 While other local and reputable shops near were 1,500- 2,200 obviously went with the 2,200 one. But Shop around guys. Dont let people take advantage of you.

I have an 08 GMC Acadia and the reverse went out on it. Being mechanically inclined I was able to diagnose the problem accurately and knew what needed to be done however I did not have the time to do the work myself. After calling around all of the local shops I was fortunate enough to find Bill! He gave me an exact quote when everyone else was giving me a Range of 1000 plus dollars on top of the initial repair depending on who you talk to. No one would give me an exact dollar figure. Bill told me how long it would take and exactly how much it would cost. He had it completed on time! :-) no additional charges! After having spoke to several mechanics there was a local competitor who called me back to see if he could earn my business by trashing bills reputation! Im glad I followed my instinct! Having recently moved to the area finding a mechanic you can trust is not easy however I am blessed to have found my mechanic from now on! I had heard from 2 or 3 different people that they recommend taking our vehicle down to Bill the owner and operator. We took our vehicle down to Bill very professional and super respectful gentleman.We did have to have the transmission rebuilt and put an engine in the vehicle. The prices were more than fair it was a lot cheaper then buying another used car in this condition. I was very impressed that Bill had competed other mechanics issues on the vehicle and never chargers us extra. I would highly recommend this shop to anyone that needs work. Bill the owner is wonderful! Had transmission replaced and a new engine put in a car we have for the kids to drive. It was cheaper than buying a used car and Bill did a lot of extras that he did not charge us for. Quality work at a fair price! Would highly recommend this shop for vehicle repairs.

Acworth Transmission & Repair was able to replace the clutch in a Nissan Versa for the lowest price, best guarantee, and in a timely manner. (We took four other quotes.) We checked the Better Business Bureau rating - A+ and were confident in our choice. Bill, the owner, was straight forward and returned our calls immediately. The Nissan runs like never before.Our Toyota Sienna required what I thought would be major repair, possibly a new belt. Again, Acworth Transmission gave me the lowest quote to replace the brakes and bushings and did not embellish car problems. Service was prompt, guaranteed, and helpful. They are 10 stars!

I call the owner to tell him that they failed to top off my fluids before I left and he tells me well oh well we do that as a courtesy and dont call me blaming your problems on me. When a business says take care of this guy cause he is a return customer and they fail to even do the topping of the fluids you know there is a problem. The owner is very unprofessional and we have had 4 transmission done with this guy throughout my family. I wouldnt recommend this guy to anyone period.

Rebuilt transmission on a 2005 Honda Accord. Works perfectly. Thought I felt something different six months after the replacement and called to inquire. I was greeted with an open arm warranty acceptance only to discover the culprit was bad gasoline and not my transmission. Thanks Bill! Master Transmission Mechanics!

I went with this place because of 25 years in business and an A+ bbb rating on a rebuild for my Cummins Diesel. They did not disappoint!its refreshing to know places like this still exist.

I would NEVER give this company any of my business. When calling to ask if they could assist me with a potential problem the individual was extremely rude and disrespectful. I understand that someone can not commit to giving you an estimate of fixing your car or a duration of time to fix it until the issue is fully known, but to be rude is unacceptable. I didnt even give them my business yet and customer service was horrific. Be cautious of even considering this company to work on your car.

Um.. Who ever left the Oct 14th note is probably fake. For one, this place is great. The prices and quality is better than anywhere else weve found and honestly... no one would curse a handicapped woman and an Iraqi war veteran. That just sounds silly... like something one of the competitors down the street would write. Its been over a year since we needed service last and the owner still remembers us. I dont think that he would be rude to someone. Oh.. another nice point is that we called today and hell work on it tomorrow. Wahoo.

I had transmission that needed to be rebuilt i thought comes to find out he put a junkyard transmission in it. The car only had 6,000 miles on it before it messed up again. The guy that owns the place told me Im dumb for listening to acura dealership they dont know what their talking about very rude guy. Dont ever do business with this guy. Now got to pay a real transmission company to do what he was supposed to do in the first place.

Just had my 2011 silverado transmission rebuilt at acworth transmission. My truck ran great all the way back to Stockbridge. Im gonna give them 5 stars to match theyre A+ better business bureau rating. Thats why I chose this shop in the first place and definitely was not dissapointed. Good people, good price and good service!

Great guys bill is very nice excellent job

I took my 1999 Dodge Durango to Acworth Transmission about Late March/early April of 2012. Bill did a complete transmission rebuild. A week later I noticed fluid under the car, ran it back up, and Bill replaced the gasket. No problems for a few months. Then in early September....more fluid. another trip to Bill, and the seal replaced. Few days later-reverse problems, hard shifting. Back to Bill. This is where it gets good.Bill calls me-hes just rebuilding the entire transmission UNDER WARRANTY because hes not happy. The guy says I feel like we didnt do something right the first time so instead of just repairing little things, hes re-doing the whole job. Just got it back, runs great.Acworth Transmission...would I take another car there? ABSOLUTELY. The warranty on my Durango was technically out of date, but Bill just wasnt going to let the car go back out without him making it right. And he STANDS BEHIND HIS WORK.Very few places will do that...Bill was very apologetic the whole time...I could tell he was quite unhappy with whatever was causing the issue with the tranny (and Dodge trannys are known for being awful).Yes I had to go back. But they honor the warranty they give with their service, they do the work at a fair price and in time. I recommend them, and will definitely go back again....well I hope I dont. But if I have a transmission problem-Acworth Transmission Service has EARNED my business...by good work and honesty.

Bad customer service. Guy was very rude and was smoking while talking to me in the very small office made me want to vomit. Talking down to me made me feel stupid.

Don’t let their cheap price fool you... this place is a sham. Paid them for a new master cylinder and pressure plate. The only thing I received was a master cylinder and a turned pressure plate. Now I’m out more money to get a part that I already paid for.

Wow! I broke down right in front of the shop, they sent some guys out to push my Jeep out of the road, brought it in, had me fixed up in no time!
