I had a flat on a tire I bought at Discount Tire 2 years ago. I went back to Discount Tire on a Saturday. I had made an appointment. No problem. Tire replaced & a Oil Change too!! Of course I paid for the installation of my tire but it was great service, great staff & I was there for just over an hour. My only complaint, What? No Coffee?

We purchased a set of tires for our suburban (not cheap) while stationed at the Marine base in 29 Palms. We were misled by the name Discount Tire, thinking it was the same nationwide Discount Tire we had used before in other states, you know the Discount Tire that offers a nation wide warranty and stand behind their warranty! But please note- this is Discount Tire Center, and NOT the same. We are now stationed in FL. Within a couple of months, we got a nail in the tire and I took it to Discount Tire in Pensacola. They kindly informed us they were not the same company but happily helped us out and got us back on the road quickly. I called the Yucca store and spoke to John the manager to see if they could offer us any compensation since the tire wasn’t that old. He said he could not give us any refund but he would send us a replacement tire via FedEx/UPS since the tire was indeed under warranty. I figured we could use it as the spare. We never received the tire. I called and emailed several times to no avail. I do not know if it was just never sent or if it got lost because there was no response to my requests for a tracking number. I just want to let our military and other folks know so you are not misled like we were. This is NOT the Discount Tire store like in other states, they have a red logo. This store in Yucca is Discount Tire Center, with a purple logo; their warranty only works at their store. Just beware if you are shopping to maybe look elsewhere if you plan on leaving CA or if there is a chance you will be stationed somewhere else. It’s a shame this store did not deliver as promised and this is one of the few tire store for our military unless you go down the hill.

Comment, attentive, respectful, and pleasant to deal with. Genuine interest in the health of you car and your safety. Good guys and gals.

On Saturday, July 12th, my wife and myself were on our way from San Diego to Joshua Tree when our car broke down in Yucca Valley. We made it to Discount Tire and we were pleasantly surprised to find this a very good experience. John Duncan, store manager, and his staff repaired our car and got us on our way. The Discount Tire Center in Yucca Valley needs to hire some help. Everyone is doing their best, but just not enough help.

I took a tire in for for a flat repair. It wasn’t till I was putting back on the The vehicle that I noticed they had taken all the balance weights off and did not rebalance the tire. Great had to pay another shop that was close to home to balance the tire.

Great service, friendly staff, quick service for a tire repair, professional staff. They fixed a nail in my tire even tho I was a walk in, and even got a discount for being a first time customer. All around a good experience will definitely return next time.

Im done with this place, they offer very little respect towards customers.Month ago I schedule a job show up and they dont have the tools torch to even do the job. A job they scheduled me to do.Another time I get two different price quotes for the same job.Today I show up at 8:30am for a 9:00ok appointment. By 10 am my vehicle is still sitting outside. No one thought wise to inform the customers they were short handed for the day. After an hour I have to get up and ask whats happening. They said Im next to pull in. At 10:45 am the vehicle was pulled in but still sits untouched. At 11:00am I call bullshix and complained.The 3 service writers on a 2 man station always out of the office, hanging out back smoking. Im a impatient man but I expect respect. No one ever came up and offered apologies for the lateness. I expect one service writer out of 3 to be inside but they arent.Manager at 10:15 spends time smoking with a possible new hire out side then takes the guy into the lunch room for more interview if will.I was there to have front end shaking diagnosed and in 2.5 hours not one person or even the manager would take the vehicle out for a drive.Once I was to irritated at their lack of professionalism at 11am and asked for my keys back. The service writer guy said he thinks its the balancing on the new tires that I didnt buy from them 2 month ago because they were 200.00 more expensive than Wal-Mart. Its was a snide remarks, he didnt even drive my vehicle. Was this on purpose because I declined the sale of there new tires couple months ago, I dont know.I would have nicely waited another 2 hours if these people had any respect for their customers. Respect and courtesy is not on their to do list.

Rudest staff ever, drive all over the US and this is the worst service, half the basis are open and they wouldnt see me unless I have an appointment, I am from our of town, I didnt know I need balancing (one of my tires is bouncing..) and yes, the rude person was the manager (John). Dont recommend and will never stop here again.

I was able to get same day service for badly worn front brakes. Fast. Courteous. Professional. And a fist bump from the mechanic, as well. Excellent service.

I had an early morning appointment to get two new tires put on my car and I didnt have to wait long at all. They were quick and didnt waste any time!Everyone there is super friendly! I felt extremely welcome.I loved that they didnt push me to have any other services done, just so that they could make money.They also have a strict mandatory mask and sanitary conditions. Which I very much appreciate.

Have came to Discount Tire Center multiple times now, every time has been an excellent experience. Great customer service, very knowledgeable staff, and they dont sugar coat things like wait times or prices. They work hard to find you the best prices and give you quality work. I called a day earlier and was under the impression that walk-ins were what was accepted on a first come first serve basis, I explained that to the gentlemen when I walked in at 8:30 not realizing it was based on appointments, he was very rude, I didn’t catch his name but I know he had glasses maybe John?. They ended servicing my car very quickly which I appreciate, but I didn’t like feeling like I couldn’t ask questions because the gentlemen was rude to me. Nathan however was very nice and everything was done in a timely manner.

Dont be fooled....this is not the Discount tire that is in other states like we were told. We fulltime RV so having access to warranty in other states is extremely important.We had new brakes and rotors put on our F-350 in January 2021. In March we started having a strange noise. Took the truck to Big O tires to find that one lug nut had not been tightened and had broken off.I dont even want to imagine what would have happened if we had a problem with that tire while pulling our 40 fifth wheel.

I went in to replace all my tires and get an alignment on Saturday. Everyone I encounter with was super friendly and helpful. Im a very happy customer and will be going back when needed. Thanks guy for everything.

Salesperson made an error on the price of 4 new tires and when I went in the paperwork showed over 100 more than quoted. She did admit her error and made it right but her apology was yelled at me. Very unprofessional. They promised an alignment check which they didnt do and when I asked they waited about 5 minutes then put another car up and told me I had to wait. I was there already since 1:15 (my appt was for 1:30) and it was then 3:45...I opted to leave. I had already had a bad experience years previously and I will definitely not return for more work.

Terrific service and service specialists! I visited them for diagnostics on my 2009 vehicle in very good, low miles condition, because Brand Dealer said i need tires and possibly new sensors. Just bought 4 brand new tires from them at another location and picked up a nail. Went to this location for a repair, however they did not want to assist us with the repair.. Went across the street and they were more than happy to assist and did so at no charge within 45 minutes and we were back on the road.

Had a nail in my tire, got an appointment for 2 days ahead and they fixed it no problem.

John was excellent in helping with an issue. He remained in contact and even had his staff contact me on his day off to keep me up to date. Highly recommend his business.

They installed the wrong size tires......they were fast to adress this problem. I think because Joe Seitz was there, who was very helpful btw. Overall customer service there was definitely great!

Went in for them to replace two tires and rotate them, I came back to pick up my car and they had inspected my car, even though I didn’t ask for it. They gave me a long list of things that was wrong with me car. I wanted a second opinion so I took it to another mechanic that I’m familiar with, and turns out my car was perfectly fine, they had lied about everything they said needed to be fixed. Definitely will not be coming back here. Had I not listened to my gut, I would be out a LOT of money and for no reason.

We were treated professionally and courteously at Yucca Valley DTC. We have been loyal customers there for over 16 years. They diagnosed the problem, repaired the tire, and we were quickly on our way.

CJ was great. Helped me out with an emergency oil change while they were short staffed on a Sunday and very busy.

Did a good job, but long wait due to overbooked. No big for us we went & ate, also a little shopping too.

It took 5.5 hours to do a 10 minute job. They are nice people, but not efficient. After about 2 hours they kept telling me Im next. It was a small repair of a slow leak that was a fail of a repair they had done before. The told me the other people had appointments, which I get, but they had big jobs, all 4 new tires or an axl job. Those people expect to wait hours. They could have waited 10 minutes more while they did mine and got me out of their waiting room. Also several times when I went out to check on the work or talk to people the techs werent working. They were chatting with each other or looking at their phones. Not efficient for a busy day. I appreciate that they didnt charge me because I bought the tires from them for the repair, but I would have rather paid $20 or $30 dollars for the patch and still had that 5 hours of my life.

We bring all of our vehicles here for tires and services. We love the people and prices. Of course, we could find cheaper but cheaper is not always better. We dont mind paying a little extra for quality work and products.

This was a horrible experience. Made an appointment to drop my truck off at 9am for a tire rotation, tire repair and alignment. They call me at 11 to come pick up my truck. When I got there it was parked in a handicap spot. I look at my tires and realize they may have done an alignment but nothing else. So they apologize and pull my truck back into the bay. My children and I had to wait outside for an hour and 15 mins. The pull it back out and park it. I go in and pay to come out and realize they didnt do the tire rotation just fixed the screw in my tire. I just left. I was so upset. And the tire still leaks and the alignment feels exactly the same, pulling t.

Like many others, I was very disappointed in the unbelievably long wait time. My appointment(!) was for 9:30 AM and I was told it would take less than an hour for a tire rotation and alignment, so I opted to wait. My car didnt even get into a bay until 11, and I didnt get out of there until nearly 1 pm! They do 5 star work, but lost a star for every hour I had to wait. From now on, I will drop it off, but they still need to finish the job in a timely manner. I have been buying my tires at this shop for 10 years, and never had this happen before.

I got a full set of tires at an impressive price. Arielle up front was an absolute doll and wonderfully personable. Ill be back soon for an oil change. Very soon!

Get a second opinion or validate their claims yourself before having them perform their reccomendations.

Discount tire and service center severely over-torqued my lug nuts. I checked the torque after they balanced my tires and had to jump on the end of a 3 foot breaker bar to get them loose. Factory specs is 83 ftlbs, but I estimate they were torqued to well over 350 ftlbs. This will eventually stretch the lug studs and cause failure, allowing your wheel to fall off the vehicle. It also makes it nearly impossible to change the tire using the stock lug wrench. I can only assume the tech just hammered the lugs on there with an impact wrench.Service was good otherwise though, but this is a safety concern which is why I rated 2/5.Use torque wrenches or torque sticks next time!

I was calling around all day looking for someone to be able to squeeze me in to check my brakes. I finally called discount and Daniella was able to squeeze me in asap, they checked my car and told me what needed to be done. They were able to get me in and out service all done right before closing. They are so awesome there and to the manager Chris thank you for trying to help me the best you can, you guys are all awesome and the fact you take your customers family into consideration when trying to get things done in.a timely manager is very rare to find now a days. This is my to go place for tires and my car maintenance. Great job guys and gals!!!!

Got my tire blown out on the way up the mountain to Joshua Tree. I was able to switch on the spare and slowly crawl my way up the mountain at 45mph (Im so sorry, everybody behind me). Eventually made it to Discount Tire Center in Yucca, which my girlfriend found had the highest reviews of any repair shop in the area. After my experience here, I can definitely see why.We were helped by the kindest man ever, someone named John, who was both polite as well as respectful. We enjoyed chatting with him while he got us set up. He and the team did an amazing job, and the new Hankook tire they slapped on only took them about half an hour to do. My girlfriend and I barely had time to walk to the next plaza over before they finished with the repair job.John also gave us the handy recommendation of saving the receipt in case we can file a petition for a refund from the CA Department of Transportation.... apparently we werent the only ones that day that hit literally 7 huge potholes in a row and blew our front left tire.Ill forever be grateful to John and Discount Tire Centers for saving my butt and saving my car. I dont know how I wouldve survived without them. (And seriously, no, 1 and 2 star tire repair places are not an option-- Id rather roll down the mountain on my spare.)

I had a great experience at this Discount Tire Center in Yucca Valley. The service writer John Galle was very helpful, and adjusted my pricing so I could afford the full service needed. VERY EXCEPTIONAL!! The staff was very friendly, and the facility was very clean, so one would feel safe during these difficult times. I will definitely be back, and I strongly recommend this Discount Tire Center....even if you need to travel a bit.

Chris at discount tires was a lifesaver! Had a flat in Joshua Tree that threatened to ruin our weekend. Every other shop in town was closed and Discount Tires was crazy busy. I made a 10am appointment for an oil change.My car didn’t get pulled into a bay until after 12.I didn’t leave until 1pm.They even took care of another client that walked in AFTER I had checked in.No apology or discount was offered.I called their corporate line, spoke with a customer service agent, registered a complaint. I was told that someone would contact me back within 48 Hours. No one ever did.

These people are a fake version of the REAL national Discount Tire. They only service for southern California. Dont go to them if you want reliable service nation-wide.

Had gotten two flats on the road and was towed to discount tire around 11pm. Was there before they opened the next day (Saturday) and they said they only had two tires that fit the car, which happened to be the most expensive tires, and that they would “try” to fit us in. We are not from here and are just trying to get on the road. We ended up taking our business elsewhere.

I was running behind for my appointment and dropped off my car. The service desk told me they were booked out but scheduled me for 3:00 pm. I arrived with my car around 2:07 pm and was scared that due to delays I would be waiting for forever! Which didn’t happen :-) I waited an hour and a half and my car was ready to go! New tires and we’re all aligned. I’d definitely be returning for future services! The staff by far understanding and communicating any challenges found with my car, thank you to the staff at DTC in Yucca Valley! Amazing work :-)

Had an appointment scheduled for 12:00 to have a tire checked. It should have been an easy in and out but since corporate had scheduled other appointments online I was there way to long. Need to do away with making appointments online without checking to see if local office has already gotten those times booked. Not a good system-I know from experience from my job.

Chris the manager, and the wonderful lady up front this morning have this place running like ALL businesses should run. He explained to us how important it was for he and his TEAM to make every customers’ car as SAFE as possible. 😀😁. They are very professional NOW!!! I feel safe taking my family vehicles to this place. Oil change, tire rotation, alignment, total inspection, and they didn’t try to up-sell us anything... Thank you, we will be back!

DTC has the worse service, ALL the time. Expect to never get anything done. Im telling you over and over the years, either they over book, lack of experience, or something. It shouldnt take 5+ hours to fix 1 leak and neither all day. This happens constantly on any service. Dont buy here or do anything here. Its better to go somewhere else. I recommend Rons Automotive, professional and considerate and especially honest.

This shop totally saved me. Was at Joshua tree with family on vacation when we got a flat on our Tesla. Big o wouldnt help because our tire had the sound muffling foam. Discount didnt have the right tire to sell me but was able to successfully repair my tire. And for free! They are super nice and Tesla friendly!

Chris and John were very professional. Made sure I understood what was going on with the car, what my options were and what it would cost. The work took longer to do, but they kept in touch throughout the day so I could plan around getting the car back. Id been told the car needed a rack and pinion replacement a year ago at a different shop and put it off because of the expense. Very satisfied with the results - its like a different car!

Well usually good service but was told I needed to make an appointment for anything done to vehicle. So I did. And brought my truck in for alignment and tire rotation. Appointment was for 12:30 and I didnt get out of there until 4:35. Waited around for 4 hrs.

Very disappointed in the service today in the past Ive had great experience with the service there but today Sunday July 12th 2020 I was completely disappointed with the amount of time it took to put two tires on my carI did not have an appointment I came as a walk-in but I was there at 9 a.m. when the doors opened I was expecting to wait I was not an impatient but after 3 hours my car has still not been put in a bay to be worked on when my car finally did make it into a bay it took another hour and a half to put two tires on. I realize that they had only had two technicians working on this day but I kept looking through the glass into the service area keeping an eye to see if they were working on my car I seen one of the technicians taking cigarette break after cigarette break and between both the technicians I saw them talking more than I seen them actually working on the vehicles there didnt seem to be any urgency to get the vehicles out back to the customers. I was not the only one who was growing impatient several of the customers were talking amongst themselves wondering what was taking so long one of the customers ask the woman at the front desk Becky who was very nice and professional how long would it be before they would get their car into the bay and she told them that they only had two mechanics and that they were working as fast as I could but that did not seem to be the case overall I was there more than four and a half hours just for two tires. Like I said in the past Ive had great service there and I will likely be returning but as far as this day I was very disappointed.

Very nice people and they did right by me, offering me a discount on tires, and even though one mechanic missed another problem, the manager took over and fixed it for free. It took a while longer than expected, the wrong part came in, but accountability matters. I will go back!

Great experience. I had called to get a quote and they had the best price in town. I made an appointment and the day before my scheduled appointment I called and asked if they could do it a day earlier and they did. Our family is going through a lot and Chris was, I believe he is the store manager, was just great, very kind, very helpful.

They are ordering the tires I need. Tires availability during Covid-19 can be a problem. They are easy to work with.

Discount Tire did an awesome job of getting me back on the road after my rental car got a flat tire (in the pouring rain, of course). They were quick, kind, and knowledgeable. I definitely recommend.

I am very happy with getting new tires. The staff was very friendly and I received Fair rates. Staff was honest about issues with my car and not over charging me for services not rendered. I will be back to get continued service on my vehicle. Also I had my children and they were welcomed in the waiting room. I recommend getting Tires and Service here to my friends

I had an unexpected tire problem when I was visiting the Joshua Tree area and found the Discount Tire Center online. It lives up to its great review. The people were nice, patient and professional. The staff kept me informed of the progress as it was taking longer than expected.

While they are very busy, they still manage to have excellent customer service and are very organized! It all runs smoothly and I am very impressed with them overall! I will always use discount tire center! Especially in yucca valley. The team is awesome!! Thanks guys!

I’m very frustrated. I make appointments to lessen the waiting time, but I still waited a long time. I arrived at my appt time, waited 2.75 hours til my car was taken into service. I was told wait was 1 to 1.5 hours. With COVID-19 limited waiting space indoors and was full when I entered and I know that issue is out of their control. I waited outside under a tree in 100 degree weather and was thankful there was a nice breeze.

Waited 3 days for a 1:00 Saturday appointment to install 4 new tires. Arrived 15 minutes early to complete any paperwork. At 2:30 my car was still not being worked on. I was told it was next in line. At 3:20 my car was finally brought in to be worked on. Finally paid bill and was able to leave at 4:30. An appointment means nothing to these people. Three and a half hour to install 4 new tires is ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and go anywhere else.

As always, the professionalism and honesty I expected! Went out of their way to show me what was wrong with my tire and give me options, rather than make me feel obligated to go with what they recommended. Great staff and excellent service which is why I keep coming back and recommend them go friends and family!

The Best Tire Center in The entire Desert areas, upper and lower. They do quality repairs and estimating. Take your car, truck or SUV in for a check up even if you dont need tires at The moment.
