Hard sale push, sales people rushing around, changing the subject, push, push, push. Evading questions. Wearing you down, bad advice.EditingThis dealership is the worst Ive ever been to. I expect hard sales tactics, but I didnt think that such a big, well known dealership would be so deceptive in their methods. I didnt expect to be lied to. I regret ever walking into this place, worst deal ever, they charged so much more than the vehicle is worth, even more that it cost brand new. They did show me a paper that they said was the current value but wouldnt let me have it. Its not even close to blue book. So unhappy.

First time using John L Sullivan and I will definitely go back for my Jeeps needs. Called for an appointment about a recall on my Jeep and was greeted by an exceptionally friendly and helpful young lady. She setup my appointment and answered all my inquiries. Arriving for my appointment I was directed to the parts department and my Jeep was brought around and placed outside the work bay. So very smooth and quick. The gentleman at the parts counter was forthcoming with additional information and made me feel quite comfortable. I apologized as my Jeep was really dirty and he offered a quick wash.. WOW 👌Thank-you !! I recommend Sullivans !!

The gentleman I worked with, and the financial manager were great and I had a great experience purchasing a car from John L. Sullivan Dodge in Yuba city. I traded the green one for the blue one, I feel I made the right choice.The above review is of the day I purchased the vehicle, then later when the bank calls me to inform me of the mistake on the contract and I wanted to go over it with the dealership, the dealership wont work with me to resolve the issue. I would really like to get this resolved ASAP, but if they are not going to work with the customer, I may need to take a course of action available to all customer who are not happy with the way companies conduct business.

Extremely dissatisfied with this dealership. I talked to the car sales department over the phone a few times before deciding to make the 2 hour drive to look at a Tacoma. Over the phone the salesmen and I discussed a price that was below the sticker price but was a reasonable offer because the truck has been sitting for a while and I planned on paying cash and not financing. I planned my Saturday to test drive the vehicle, submit a formal offer and take the truck home. Unfortunately this wasnt how the day went...The test drive went great. The truck was everything I was looking for. The salesman took down my info and presented the offer to the boss. After a few minutes the boss came out and explained to me that my offer was no where near what they would sell the truck for. Not only did the car salesmen mislead me into taking a total of 4+ hours out of my Saturday.. the boss also told me the extra 7k in dealership fees that I would have to pay to take the truck home. I understand the required taxes, license fees, etc. but I didnt expect the taxes and fees to be over 15%. After telling them I wasnt interested in the truck they still proceeded with trying to get me to finance the vehicle after telling them multiple times that I didnt want to do that. In addition to not budging on the sticker price, tacking on the additional dealership add ons, they then told me that they would be losing money ($67 dollars) from selling the truck for full price. The sales manager also printed out a page and told me that he doesnt usually show anyone the paperwork but decided to point out that theyre losing $67 with this deal. With all said I walked out and told them that I dont plan on ever buying a vehicle from them.I hope they change the way they run their business because I believe they definitely mislead me intentionally in hopes of getting me to finance the remaining balance of the truck.

My car sat for 2 weeks with no work done, no communication. Our service rep was out and no one follow up with us until multiple attempts to get an update, only to find out the parts needed to be ordered but no one ordered them. It took another week to get the car repaired and multiple calls left with the service department went unanswered. I left a message for the service manger and general manager and never got a response only that our car was ready. Finally are customer service representative called us to find out what happened. She was very nice and understanding and gave us a discount but we were still without our car for 3 weeks.

Especially when I reviewed the invoice and discovered that the technicians spent only two hours actually working on my vehicle. What happened the other 20+ hours? I would recommend JohnL.Sullivan Dodge to anyone who appreciates straight forward transparent people . Manny is the best. He didnt know me from Adam. Totally went way above and beyond to help me out. I had a few credit problems but he made good on his word and helped me get into a very nice car . This sort of dealership is rare and people like Manny are a dying breed . I was very happy with him and all the helpful staff that helped me when I needed it most. This place is worth the trip no matter how far from Yuba city you live defiantly would send any one I know there to purchase a vehicle. Very accommodating and they dont feed you the normal car dealer B.S. . Straight forwardness thats what they have thats not common in the car sales industry. 😃

Randy was amazing, he didn’t push vehicles on me, he listened to what I wanted and was respectful and patient, there was no pressure with him. He was personable throughout the process and I was so pleased that we could enjoy regular conversation throughout the process and when it came time to talk about numbers we could both get back to business, completely respecting the different hats that the both of us were wearing throughout this process. I recommend asking for Randy when you come in to shop for your vehicle, this was by far the best experience I have ever had at a dealership.

Good, fast service and I got to window shop the TRX they have in the lot . Only issue (minor) I was told I would get the 10% off coupon I inquired about, when I dropped the car off . Did I get that dicount? Nope . I asked about it before paying and they said let me check on that . I declined because, Id already waited in line, it was after 5 pm and it was just not worth the time and effort. (Karens take note, it was a small discount anyway )

Asked them to call me days before my appointment I had questions. I thought I needed oil change and fuel filters they told me I needed a 30000 mile service nearly a thousand dollars. We decided to wait on changing fluids in rear end still nearly 650$. Asked them to wash it was half baked job at best. I’m still waiting on license plate November will be 2 years. They had to keep the old plates because they were disabled plates. Two years to long. I recommend not spending a dollar here. I just came back in to try to understand the 650$ cost 275$ labor because they added fluid conditioner

Chase was very professional and curtious. His knowledge of each car was impressive. You can tell he likes his job and is passionate about picking the right car for each customer he serves. Great guy.... His boss on the other hand was not only rude and unprofessional but pretensious and made me feel like I was not even worth wasting anymore time on. Because I wouldnt let my step daughter buy the car I liked with. CASH. I wanted a better deal than $32,000 for a 2019 ford fiesta. Or $20,000 down. Ridiculous. Thats robbery in my opinion.

What a joke.Called in the week prior to set up diagnosis and repair of my CEL ( glow plug cylinder #5)Stated on the phone that I need the vehicle so lined everything up to have the glow plug replaced if needed and or parts ordered ASAP. So I checked in early in the morning sign paperwork and than the service writer drops the bomb “ the tech will get to it tomorrow “WHAT???We talked about that, I need the vehicle i told yiu I’ll wait for it.We agreed that a tech looks at it today and attempts a repair.“No Sir your appointment for today was with me and not with a tech he’ll be looking at it maybe tomorrow.What kind of service is that ? You could have made it right but never will step on your grounds again. Good job in loosing a customer.

Dont waste your time making an appointment, if you arrive at your appointment time and there are 5 or more in express line which do not have appointments, they will all get serviced before you. A. simple oil change took them 2 1/2 hours before they pulled the car into the bay to start working on the car. It took them another HOUR to complete the oil change. I ordered a car wash but had to remind the shop and initially was told the car was in the wash when I could still see it in the service bay. When the car completed the wash, it was still dirty on the front end. Quality of wash was very substandard if not down right horrible.Again DONT BOTHER MAKING AN APPOINTMENT, IT IS A WORTHLESS WAIST OF TIME!!!!

Sales team won’t tell you pricing over the phone and is more concerned about getting you into the dealership. This dealership is Manipulative with pricing and tries to force certain fees on you once you’re in the store. Don’t be forced into paying for the lowjack that they install. It’s just another way for the dealership to make extra money at customers expense. How this dealership has a four star rating is beyond me especially after hearing the rumors About this store and reading some of the reviews. Strongly urge people to shop elsewhere.

I’m really disappointed in this place and the staff, we have been coming here for a while now, but will never again trust this place. My husband brought in our business vehicle for recall, walked out (a couple days later) paying $$$.Service department brought to our attention that the radiator had a fresh leak, then they said they wouldn’t charge us for labor to fix it because they admitted they dinked the radiator as they were trying to fix the recall part (coolant fan). They continued to say it’s not their fault because it was already “damaged”. We said we would buy our own since their price was so high for this part, but they did not want to give our van back since “It would cause more damage to the vehicle to drive it off their parking lot.” Instead we would have to wait for the part to be shipped and installed.Not only did we lose money without our vehicle for work but we also lost by trusting them. We have had no problems with this 2 year old van, no leak or overheating, no dash light, nothing. We drove our van over to them driving 45mins plus with no problem. Husband tried to talk to the manager and the manager did not believe him, and said “I think this is Bullshit” and walked away. Left him hanging without help or a reply. It was embarrassing.We paid because we needed our vehicle back since we lost days of work because of this. It is really sad when a company plays dirty like this. Even though we have text messages from a worker there as proof with pictures from him, admitting they damaged the radiator. Had they released the vehicle to us to get it fixed ourselves, this would’ve been a different story, we understand there’s no real proof of this “previous damage” but the way they handled this was very unprofessional.Customer service will reply to this to “try to make this right” as a message for the public to make it seem as if they “really care” but it will not make a difference for us, since we tried in person to handle this professionally and they ignored us and left us hanging. Very sad and disappointed.

If I could give them no stars I would. Worst customer service ive ever dealt with. I bought a truck from them in April. It took 3 months for them to refund my registration fees for an out of state purchase. I was lied to and told the refund was issued several times when indeed it was not. Here it is august and my vehicle is still not registered. I am still being passed around trying to get documentation to register the truck, no one will return my phone calls when the desk lady says she’ll leave a message for them. Customer service is long gone with especially at this dealership, don’t bother wasting your energy and money at this place. Find another dealership.

SCAMS! Cory called me stating they want to buy my Durango. I informed him I think I owe to much to be worth trading or selling (I’ve only had it a year) he informed me it was not a problem they are offering KBB value plus 10% over. I asked if they could run numbers before I did a 2 hr drive there. He said they could not without seeing my vehicle but promised they’d make it worth my 4 hr round trip drive. Once we arrived the sales person told us he has seen them give customers 12% over value because they need vehicles so badly. After an hr or longer being there they low balled me and offered me $15k under KBB trade in value. They are liars and did not try and work with us at all. To top this instead of just running our credit score they printed my entire credit report. I have never felt so disrespected by any dealership before. Definitely taking this to BBB and I hope their calls are recorded so the higher ups can listen to the lie Cory promised. FIND ANOTHER DODGE DEALERSHIP BEFORE BEING SCAMMED HERE!!

The highlight of our buying experience was Brian Widmar our salesperson. Buying a new vehicle is always stressful and when negotiations got tense, he was able to alleviate the stress for us by intervening with management and finance. Each and every person who has helped in the past has been wonderful and very accommodating. I am out of state buyer and my main points of contact (Gary, Paul) made sure I received additional images of the vehicle for any questions I had as well as the information I needed to give to my bank for the loan process. My offer included shipping so that I wouldnt need to worry about setting up travel arrangements or shipping myself. I am very disappointed by the lack of customer service at this dealership. I bought a certified-used vehicle and have had to take it in twice in less than 9 months for engine issues. When I ask them why they didnt catch the issues Im having before they sold it to me, Ive been told as long as it passes the inspection, they dont replace it, even if you know or can tell its going to go out soon? Nope.The service department told me this time that they couldnt find any issues and to wait until the issue becomes more consistent before bringing it back. Thats the most ridiculous answer Ive ever heard.This is why I dont trust this dealer or their mechanics.

Jacob has always treated me with great respect and informed me of every step need to keep my vehicle running. He gets 5 stars! As for the reset of the team I am invisible when I walk in. No acknowledgement, no I will be right with you. I stood there for 4 minutes and 23 seconds. Yes I timed it. By the time Justin called me over to “help” me, he said he had no one that could help me because they were off in 11 minutes. He didn’t even bother to walk out to my vehicle. I told him the problem and all he could say was come back in two days or next Wednesday (6days later). So I left and went to a private mechanic in town and in a matter of 5 minutes he told me the problem, ordered the part and asked me to return tomorrow morning and they would have the window cable repaired. Oh and by the way that mechanic was very busy. Very disappointed and unsatisfied with the team at John L. Sullivan Dodge in Yuba City.

Took a day and a half to do an oil change and tire rotation. I called and left my number for call back and they never called back, but sent my wife a text message. I reported possible issues with our Jeep rattling and shaking and was told it was the change rolling around in my Jeep causing the rattle and to clean Jeep and bring it back. The shaking was reported to be because I had knoby tires. I have MT tires on my Jeep and know the difference between standard and the new shaking we were feeling.I’ve never had these issues before, but was very disappointed with service this time.

Then when I go in to pick up my truck I was hit with all the things not done. Even the oil change notification was not reset after the oil change. I expected better

Unlike the previous oil change service I received at this business, I found the service advisor and mechanics very professional. What a change in 6 months. I was fully prepared when I brought in my vehicle to ask for it back and go elsewhere. They were pleasant and efficient with my service. They even offered to wash my vehicle. What a surprise even though I washed the vehicle before the service. Night and day. One of the key service features is the multi point inspection, which wasnt done at my last visit.

Took my 2015 ram in for diagnosis of Air Suspension problem. Agreed to pay the diagnosis fee. They diagnosed it as the Air suspension computer. Quoted me around 3,000 parts and labor. I found a guy selling on online in Sac, drove down there swapped it (2 bolts under driver seat was apparently 1,000 dollars labor) and it didnt fix the problem. He had the compressor as well so we swapped that and everything worked with my original computer. After confirming it as misdiagnosed I went back and told the service manager it was misdiagnosed. Heres a direct quote of what he told me We cant stand behind our diagnosis unless you let us do the repairs So the only way I can get him to stand behind his diagnosis he agreed to do is to pay them the 3,000 for repairs?!?!?! It took an awkward 15 minutes of me not leaving his office to get refunded my 150 or 175 or whatever it was.Also had the tailgate recall done there after since it was a free recall, after that tailgate never opened properly and stated falling down on its own. Exactly what the recall was supposed to fix which I never had a problem with before!!!! Fell while I was pulling a dump trailer I didnt notice now I have a badly bent tailgate. I shouldve gone back and complained about it but after the last two jobs done there I just didnt have the heart to go back so I guess the bent tailgate is kinda on me but come on guys. This place is not great at all. Big pretty fancy building, supposed to have fancy scanners and tools. Me and a guy in his driveway diagnosed my truck better. Also I bought a tailgate hardware kit off amazon and did it myself tailgate works fine now, albeit its ugly now.I dont normally leave reviews but both of my experiences with this place have been very bad.

Great customer service quick turnaround to get my car back. Call two other mechanics in the area and they said that, it Would be a week to two weeks to get to my car In for repair. I’m happy that they were able to get me in and get me out. The cost of service was a little higher but I was able to find a 10% off coupon online which helped out a lot.

Terrible experience by far . They want to hold my car for 5 days and tell me that I have a rental available and when I go to pick it up because I’m not old enough I can’t. So I arrange for someone of age to pick it up and while I’m calling them to come get it they give my rental away . . I’m highly irritated with how this whole thing is playing out . I would have never purchased a car from here knowing this is what it would be like and this is just one of the problems out of the multiple I’ve had with them .

Im only giving them four stars instead of three because they are very friendly but their service over the years has gotten slower and slower and slower where the waits are very long... they expanded their service department which I thought would make them be able to accommodate more and be quicker but I believe that they were actually faster before they did their expansion... but I still do all of my service there because I try to be loyal!!!

It was refreshing to know that exactly what I was looking for was there and ready for a quick sale. I did my research on line, found that John L. Sullivan had Ram Truck left in stock, even the color I wanted, and it was meant to be. We started our credit check online before arriving to speed up the process, and once we arrived, and the test drive was done, it was just a matter of final price and signing. Our sales rep, Karla, was beyond awesome! Highly recommend seeking her out, as she knew exactly what to do and to get us moving swiftly. Having bought a Ram herself just months prior, it was a breath of fresh air to have an owner of the same truck to get excited while doing the final walkthrough. Brought my jeep in July 7th with a blown engine. They were absolutely useless in working with MOPAR Vehicle Protection to get my vehicle repaired under warranty. Claim that the only way they have to contact the company providing factory backed jeep warranties is via email. After 2 months of not getting anywhere, I started calling MVP executives via phone numbers I could find on Google. Thats right, Google knows more about how to contact them then the JEEP DEALERSHIP.As soon as I start making headway on getting it repaired, they decide they dont want to fix it anymore and forced me to return the rental that was replacing my only reliable vehicle. On top of that, when I brought the rental back they tried to make me pay a cleaning fee because they didnt think it was vacuumed out good enough (apparently they dont clean or disinfect their rentals between uses). The rental manager wouldnt say anything about it to me when he was inspecting the car, but had the balls to go back inside and tell my wife, and I quote, we can do this the easy way or the hard way. Unfortunately I didnt find out about that until we left, or I certainly wouldve preferred the hard way with these utterly useless, disrespectful people.Stay away. Nothing but headache.

Dropped off at 9:30am got a ride to work from a shuttle they text me at 11:30 saying it was done. Shuttle picked me up at 4:30 brought me back to my truck.. easy! Service was fine truck seemed fine.. weird that I had to put air in my tire on the way home. Figured they would have done that. The only thing and I won’t knock a star off for it because I’m not a Karen, but the religious music radio station being played in the shuttle Is a little unprofessional. It’s a little like cramming your beliefs down my throat. Not. A non believer just don’t feel like having it pressed on me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Was in to the dealership to have my 2018 RAM serviced.All I needed was an oil and filter change, rotate the tires, and wash the pickup. I believe they changed the oil and probably replaced the filters, but they did not rotate the tires and certainly did not wash it. I just have no idea how inept these folks are. This seems to be their routine and I have never received the type of service someone would expect after spending $70,000 on a new pickup.Poorest service department I have ever seen in my 59 years.

Made an appt for my car fob to get replaced. Item wasn’t in stock when I originally went, and I was told by the front service desk person that he would make an appt for me the following week to get it replaced. Got to my appt and was told it would take a few hours as I also had some recalls. Left and later got a call that the part never came and wouldn’t be there till the week after. Came to get my car and was told by parts person that in fact the fob wouldn’t be there for an additional two weeks. So rather than giving me a call beforehand and letting me know that my part wasn’t available yet and to remake an appt they still had me come in. I live over an hour out for a wasted trip that I will have to repeat whenever the part does actually come in.

The customer service I received after that was the worst Ive experienced. Was talked down to and judged for how much I wanted to put down on a new car. I was a bit disappointed with the fact that I asked for a tire rotation and was told that my pickup didnt need it when I picked up my truck. Its been 8,500 miles since my last tire rotation and I asked to have it done. If Im willing to pay you for the service and I drop my pickup off for that service, I expect you to provide that service. Dont tell me that my truck is ready to be picked up and then when I get there, you tell me you didnt do the job. Purchased a Lexus last week only to be given a vehicle they said would be full but instead with only a quarter tank of gas and a less than fully functional keyfob. Went in for scheduled window tinting of which I was informed I would get a loaner for the day, which was also nonsense since they didnt have any loaners to offer when I came in. Checked on tint job as they claimed to have finished it rather fast only to find bubbles in the tint, milky substances on sides of the vehicle and all all over the windows. This type of shoddy work has got to be deliberate. Nobody could accidentally do this awful of a job. Hopefully I can get a hold of someone tomorrow to fix this situation. I dont understand the horrible overall communication and logistics of this operation.

I have been very impressed with the Sullivan dealership group. Our service rep has been James and he is phenomenal. Great customer service, gets things done rapidly, I feel comfortable and confident with his advice. He is also very much a gentleman!Update: June 28th, 2021My car had a transmission failure and had to be towed the last 2 miles in. Unfortunately it took Chrysler (the parent company) a fair amount of time to render its decision on what should be done with the car. Jacob kept me informed the entire process, and was very pleasant and kind even though what he had to tell me wasnt always what I wanted to hear. With transmissions on 45 day backlog they decided to repair/replace the failed parts. It took two weeks but that wasnt John Sullivan Dodges fault.Jacob gave me great customer service and did his best to make things right for me. I appreciate the customer service, and they even cleaned and detailed my car for me when I came to pick it up! I am handicapped, in my 60s and really appreciated that.

BEWAREBEWAREThey worst customer service I have ever experienced as a consumer. I brought my vehicle in for its first service since apparently it’s in the contract to have your first service provided by them for diagnostic testing. I don’t know if that is fact. I do know I told them I was a disabled veteran with ptsd and don’t like to be away from my home.I make a appointment with lady after discussing my special needs. I show up the date assigned and after a half our wait to to see the service guy and tell him why in there etc. He informs me it’s a 3 and half hour wait. I say is that possible with an appointment? He say they take drive up oil changes to🤦‍♂️. I make another appointment on a day they say is less busy. Keep In Mind 60 miles there and back and time my time wasted. After my service I go get my windows tinted and parked for two days. When I pull my truck out I notice a large oil leak on the floor. I go into panic mode and grab a flashlight and find the leak. I call the service department on Friday afternoon to let them know. I’m waiting on a call back now! 5 o’clock comes and no call. I get ahold of sales to be informed they have left for the weekend. I ask if my truck is safe to drive? 🤷‍♂️ After a inspection I couldn’t find the leak. Turns out when they drained the oil they drained into my cross member and was just sitting there slowing leaking. I also notice they didn’t fasten the air filter cover correctly. I just had to use faith that the lug nuts where torqued on my wheel rotation. 😬. So now I’m on a third trip for a oil change so they clean there mess. I mention the fact I wasn’t happy about all the time wasted, miles on my truck, property damage and just rudeness. He looked me dead in my eye and said “ what you want me to cut you a check?” I asked to see his supervisor and got another promise that I would here from someone that day. I let a week go by with periodic calls to remind them to call me. So today I drive down since I can’t get phone call to resolve this issue. This lady say I need to speak to the gm and he’s out at the time. Again another person passing the buck why I get the old run around. After I expressed my displeasure with a little more bass they called the cops on me. I don’t like being screwed over especially when they won’t hold themselves accountable. No apologies no nothing. I was just another unhappy customer they must have grown accustomed too.I spent the remainder of the day making signs warning potential buyers. The police where called again. I was within my rights to do so. After about a hour of my version of a protest 😂 the sales men started yelling profanities at me for taking potential business away. I just wanted to change my own oil!!!!!
