I went here because I was told about how if you had an easy in and out headlight setup, then they would provide the service of replacing the bulb for you. I’m a 24yr old and not from the area so this was kind of my only option at the time. I understood that they might say they can’t provide this service for me for whatever reason, but I didn’t expect such a bad experience. I went in and directly asked the worker at the counter if they provided this service for my car year and model. He didn’t even check, he just said no. Then, a worker next to him said that they in fact could because it was a simple process and easy replacement. So the initial guy grumpily sold me the proper headlight. He hardly spoke to me, and just seemed incredibly bothered that he had to serve me. I work in customer service so I am very friendly when I go into a place of service as I understand what it’s like to serve rude customers. He tore open the package, walked out to my car, realized he would need an adjustable wrench to take off one bolt, handed me the opened unreturnable package and said he couldn’t fix that. In all, it was done with such rudeness and was such a bad experience.

Very helpful but please dont ask them for any repair questions. They dont know anything about cars, just what they sell in the store.

We...my son and I went here for bulbs...it was less than 10 dollars like my friend said...my son put them in but my friend said AutoZone would be awesome and put them in for somebody...good to know for free by the way

Went there yesterday with my car having trouble starting, I wanted to check it if the battery is dead and buy a new one if that was the case, but all of their testing equipment was broken - battery testers, starters, you name it. So, we couldnt diagnose what the problem was for sure. The staff were nice and tried to help as much as they could, but they could only do so much. Being stranded, I had to call a friend for help to get my car jumped and drove right across the street to OReillys, where they did have properly functioning equipment to diagnose that the battery was indeed bad, and I purchased a new one from them. They installed it for free too and took the old one for safe disposal! I have had good experience with Autozone before and this wouldnt necessarily stop me from shopping there again, but it was definitely not a great experience. A generic apology from management would just be a PR stunt if they dont equip their employees with proper tools to be able to serve the customers better.

Everyone I interacted with was so nice and helpful! My battery had died- the manager Nick helped me with replacing it. His kindness made my day. I will definitely return here for future auto part needs.

We all know there is a shortage of help but a man, the only man at the E. Michigan Ave location refused to I stall a battery as a swap when I purchased a battery damn near 200.00 that had a bad cell. The Wastenaw Ave location took care of it in good time. Thank you, greatly appreciated.

Today, I purchased a new car battery for my 2011 Nissan Murano. The store night manager, Jacob, assisted me by installing the new battery. I couldnt be happier with his professionalism, and kindness. He answered many questions and provided additional information regarding brake fluid, and coolant as he looked under the hood. Thank you Jacob.

The attending staff member wasnt helpful. I asked for help to find me an offset wrench, he just pointed me where wrenches are located. Mind you, the staff at all the other stores I visited made an effort. But even with their help at Harbor Freight, lowes, Home depot, Advanced auto & OReilly, I couldnt find a reasonable offset wrench. All I needed is a wrench with its eye offset a little from the main arm to loosen a nut sitting in a hole with little bit of clearance.

Dom was very knowledgeable and helpful. We came in there for a battery for my friends F 250 and she took great care of us. She is funny and friendly. Nick you did well with her.

I went to the AutoZone on Washtenaw in Ypsi. I had an out headlight. Nick directed me to the correct part and came out and changed it. He also informed me that my battery wasnt bolted down. He fixes that as well. He restored my faith in humanity. Thanks Nick!

Helpful, friendly staff - BUT no one was wearing a mask properly. If you care about going to places where staff follow the mask mandate, DO NOT GO HERE. I saw one guy with a mask below his chin, one guy with a beard that prevented his mask from fitting properly and it was below his nose anyway, another guy had a mask with two vents on either side (this kind of mask only protects the wearer, not those around him). All CDC mask violations. Felt really uncomfortable breathing that air! Just wanted to get out of there. They’ll help you with your car, but couldn’t care less about basic human safety.I’ll be back after the pandemic is over.

Came here to get a windshield wiper blade and went to pay and the guy behind the counter was rude right off the bat. I then noticed that not a SINGLE employee was wearing a mask, so I left and went to OReilly and got a better, less expensive wiper. Places where employees dont wear masks are just negligent and unacceptable.

I was heading for a 8 hour road trip when my rear-view-mirror fell down and was hanging by the wire. It was the first place I saw so I pulled in and asked for help. Nick the store manager was more than willing to come and fix my mirror and did it without charge. Could not recommend this place more.

Ive had a number of issues at this Autozone. In general, Ive found the staff can be rude, but they also arent knowledgeable about their own systems. I recently tried to return an item that Id purchased online, it caused quite a bit of confusion, and they said I wouldnt be able to return it there. I called a Livonia store, and they suggested I try again. Second attempt, same result, lots of confusion and suggestions that I must be doing something sketchy. I brought it to the store on Michigan Ave, they handled it within a few minutes. In general I prefer OReillys, but Ill also be visiting the other Autozone.

Wait 15 minutes or longer to check out every time I go here. I will be finding a different store.

Great experience, my sales guy was very helpful. When I asked about their new ad and the item on sale, he was willing to help and even went the extra mile and picked everything out for me so I didn’t have to look all over the place for it. This and many other reasons why my husband and I shop here at Autozone. Thank you

Always friendly and helpful. Purchased an alternator. Never knew there were two different types for the same make and model. The Autozone expert advised me to contact car dealer with VIN number and that info helped me choose the correct alternator. Thanks to the lady that knew there were 2 types and directed me where to get info.

Polite and attentive.

Came to pick up an online order, which took 8+ hours to put together despite being two in-stock items, but there was a sign on the door saying be back in 15 minutes. Sat in the parking lot for 20 minutes, no one ever came back. Returned to the store the next day, and they didnt even have my order put together ready to go, the lady had to go get the items from the store floor. I could have gotten my items faster on Amazon at this rate...

The people here are nice, but a bit slow-moving. And I wasnt feeling overly confident that they had the right tools to do some of the tests that they are supposed to be able to do. Or it might be that they arent great at explaining things to the lay person. Maybe go to the AutoZone on Jackson Rd in Ann Arbor instead.

I needed a headlight bulb replaced for my 2012 Toyota Camry but couldnt reach the location under the hood to get a hold of and replace the bulb. The employee came out to my car and helped get to the location and remove the dead bulb, pointed me to the replacement bulbs in the store and helped me install the new bulb. The store was clean, and the employees were very helpful. I was there no more than 20 mins. I really appreciated the help.

The only competent worker there was Jay the mechanic, he helped us with all of our needs and went above and beyond. The other two employees were not helpful at all, just watching him work while they sat there. Brian was especially challenging, as he made us feel like we should have just went somewhere else. Jay was the only redeeming factor. Corporate/manager needs to reevaluate what a good worker is from what isnt.

Staff was friendly, efficient and fair with a long line of customers all needed more labor intensive tasks, and Jacob totally saved my battery with his reinstallation!! Will come back when I need it!

Super rude staff. I asked a simple question and the woman I was talking with rolled her eyes at me multiple times and seemed extremely agitated. I ususally never write negative reviews, in fact this is my first, but I have never received worse customer service in my life. Hopefully they see this review and talk with their staff about the importance of customer service.

Always a great selection of what i need for car repairs. However, customer service experience was not good at all. It always seems like Im annoying them when i come in for something. Do they even like their jobs?Im not the most knowledgeable when it comes to automotive language but, when i just need to bring my old battery in and purchase a headlight bulb, i would think it would be easy and pleasant for an associate.Great looking store but associates dont seem to want to be curtious to customers.

I am not going to say anything on the price tags here but about store associates, parking, visibility and access. Very friendly and helpful associates. One of them even admitted the question I asked was beyond his knowledge. Not many people I have encountered admitting their capabilities. Easy access and ample parking.

Wish I could give zero stars. Staff was very unwelcoming, unprofessional, and extremely rude. I came to the store on 5/22/18 in the morning at 7:40. The store opening times are listed 7:30, I will gladly wait if employees need time to get themselves together to get ready for the day, but an employee very rudely told me that they wont be open for 20 minutes. He could have said that in a polite way. Further more, he didnt even do the courtesy of letting me know that they were open. Very very rude staff. Not a customer orientated location. Workers cannot communicate in a professional manner. PLEASE DONT GO HERE. Try the ann arbor locations because this location is trash. I will make sure to let people know to steer clear from this one.

Called the store and was immediately put on hold. After half an hour on hold, i decided to head to the store and see how busy they were. I walked into the store while on hold still, and not a single person was there. The workers were just hanging around talking with each other. Just to see what would happen, i hung up and called again and they put me on hold again and kept on talking. Very poor customer service.

8 August 2017 - Meh. Super hit-or-miss when it comes to sales people. I guess what would you expect from a national chain? Buy your oil at Costco and get general supplies at Home Depot. All the other random stuff you can try here.

I was greeted immediately when I entered the store and asked if I needed any help. The layout of the store was easy to get around and find what I needed quickly and the staff were very nice. Also from what I could see the store was clean.

The people at Auto zone make this an amazing place. They are super helpful and well skilled

I will keep this simple. I was just blown away by by how utterly astute and helpful the staff here was! From the initial phone call to my visit every one seemed concerned about what I needed and how to help. It actually felt like they were fighting to see who would help me first. They have set the bar high for other companies. I dont just mean other auto supply parts places. I mean any and EVERY company I deal with from now on. Pretty amazing place.

Avoid this location at all costs.Before I continue I must admit that not all the staff were rude.But this is in regard to the return hassle caused by the inept manager or lead at the store when I went to make a return on a lifetime warranty product after a few days of purchase.Long story short, I had to explain my entire situation of why I was returning the product for about an hour. I was treated like a criminal being cross examined by the store manager who at first did not want to issue a refund because the item was used ... of course it would be used that’s how I found out it was defective detective Clouseau. He was playing 21 questions grilling me about the product and why I wanted a refund. He later had to call another store manger or somebody higher up and after a 5 min tl;dr of my request he finally gave me my refund.

Do not go here. First, I was sold the wrong belt when I was 100% specific about the type of car and engine I had. Second, I was almost sold the wrong pcv valve but I caught that. Third, I ordered 2 parts and were told they would be in the next day. I went back the day after and they werent there after looking for them for at least 20 minutes. Then, they made me wait another 10 minutes while they re-ordered the parts. Told me they for sure would be in the next morning. Went back, gave me one part and said have a nice day. Told them about the other, receipt and all in hand, and they had me wait another 20 minutes looking for it. Finally, I got it. The wrong belt that was sold to me I only found out because I thought how they almost sold me the wrong pcv valve so I better make sure and found out online it was the wrong part. The staff wasnt that rude, but damn man I had to drive to and fro 3 times for literally 50 bucks worth of car parts.

Autozone is where you go if you like your car. Great advise and parts.

Had the light bulb I needed and the staff were helpful in confirming it was the right part.

I could not even purchase the item that I entered this establishment for because the employee that I approached at the counter, a middle-aged white dude, responded to me in such an unnecessarily aggressive and patronizing manner that I could not even fathom looking at him or being in his presence any longer than it took to walk out the door. This happened to me within the past month and I am just now getting around to writing this review so I have no idea if he is still there. As someone who does not present masculine, is it assumed that I dont know anything about cars and for this reason it is permissible to treat me crappy? Well, guess what? You wont be receiving any more of my business. I thought this was a fairly common experience to have at automotive stores until I decided to hop across the street to OReillys and it turns out that they actually know how to treat people.

Chester was so nice to put my new whiper blade on for me during our nasty Michagan winter storm today even when it gave him trouble. Reccommend them highly.

Had my battery swapped, turns out it was a faulty battery. Go to return the battery to get a new one, and they said We dont have that battery right now, go to Michigan Ave and they will swap it for you. Get to the other autozone, and learn that they DID have the battery in their inventory. They just didnt want to do the work. Lazy, lazy, lazy.
