Great customer service.

Prices and products were good. Customer service was good and bad. Good- salesman gave us the heads up that there was going to be a price increase. They also stored the product for us since we purchased it early to get the cheaper price. Bad- salesman did not know the product(wood floor) and did not quote the correct installation materials for the job. Ended up having additional costs. Communication from salesman was not great either. Installers were polite and professional. We are happy with how it looks now that it is done.

Just got my carpet put in. Excellent job ! The store had so many great choices and the price was great too! Better than the other 2 carpet stores we visited. Melissa was great in assisting us in choosing out a carpet and making sure the measurements would work. Highly recommend.

I walked in and checked out the price of the product I wanted. It was twice as high as other places! No one greeted me or offered to help me. I took my business elsewhere where it was not the most inexpensive but where I felt the customer service was spot on, knowledgeable & helpful. This is not the place for good customer service.

They had a decent selection. But the fact that none of the staff wore masks was a major put off. Decided not to give them my business as they didnt care about my safety.The main door had a sign announcing court decision, politicized public safety and mocked science. Owner of the business may have their political view but should not expose their clients and their families to risk.They could even serve people coming in without masks, that is their choice but the workers /staff should be wearing masks.Workers should check with OSHA if they are violating standards of occupational safety.Very uncomfortable experience.Business owner..Please dont respond to this, Im really not interested in knowing your opinion.

The Flooring America team is very responsive, knowledgeable and all around great to work with. They went out of their way to make sure we got our product in a timely manner. Not to mention the product quality is great and the installers did a fantastic job.

Former employee fired during the stay home order; ownership said theyd bring me back and ran me in circles. Ownership is so concerned with good reviews that the fascist CEO will reply speaking down on anyone who see this as a bad company. He makes his employees give good reviews and encourages their family members to write good reviews to; regardless of, if they shopped their or not. CEO likes to insult people but can not take what he dishes out while preaching capitalism with constant communist views. CFO owns multiple flooring stores across the city and I would definitely question laundering. Owner over stocks, overcharges and full of oshas violations overall a substantial joke of a business.

They used Bennett Flooring to install which was also a great experience as they did a quick, clean, and the carpet in the new bedroom looks amazing.

I was surprised and disappointed there was so much debris left by your crew, remnants and thick carpet fur wherever, for almost 3k you would have though it would have been removed, but I guess not, also, there was a substance tract in and left on the new tile floor in the hallway entrance, sticky dark something, as well as damage to the new tile in the kitchen leading into the dining room damaged on all the ends bubbled up, we put a strip down to conceal that. But the main concerns is someone took a dump in a toilet that didnt work at the time, the house is closed up so image the smell, also, the crew covered a sump pump in the lower bedroom and left it covered., which I made clear was the exact reason the pump went out in the first place the last installer did the same thing. Also, when I choose to pay half down, I thought I would have ample time to get the property manager over to review the work since installation was on a Friday, and they knew I live out of state, but they called me first thing Monday morning crack of dawn for final payment stating they had been trying to reach me, as if you didnt get payment the last time we used you to carpet the same house 3 years ago. The tone was more direct and stern, I was instructed to call you first thing Mr.H for payment, and I emailed you, well if you emailed, I have no record of your email. After final payment was promptly made, over a month later I had to ask for my final receipt. After telling Mat the guys covered the sump pump he said he wasnt aware...... the guys didnt say anything to him about a sump pump in the room, and it wasnt in notes. REALLY! I had to pay someone else to go cut out the area so a grate could be placed over it. The carpet looks good though. But I would not use them again. Price was way too high as well.

The inability to be able to separate political and religious beliefs from business shows a lack of emotional intelligence, extreme unprofessionalism and ignorance. Stopped into Flooring America in Wyoming today and found the perfect carpet for our Family Room. Alek, helped us find our ideal color, and quality then found us the very best deal by purchasing two remnants to get our project done. The staff went above and beyond to re-roll the carpet inside out and wrapped it in plastics to keep it safe from the elements on our ride home. I couldn’t have asked for a better flooring shopping experience!

Integrity and ethics are questionable. My upfront impression was great. Very friendly, helpful service and negotiable pricing (just wait). We had 1 room in need of carpet (13x13.5 room). I did come in with my own measurements which I over estimated, then added 10% for waste. They sent out a contractor to take their own measurements, which is completely understandable. However, after the job was complete they offset their previously lowered price by saying that the installer needed more carpet and charged me for 246 sq. ft. of material AND charged me 246 sq.ft. worth of install cost AND added a surprise $20 travel fee, which came out of left field... They had my address at the time of the estimate and down payment.This could have easily been disclosed. I went into the store and talked with a team member and some of the above mentioned charges were reduced ($20 travel fee completely dropped). BUT I still feel I was played and was wrongfully overcharged, even after working through the issue in store. SUMMARY: I intentionally went high on my estimate and they somehow came back much higher, without my knowing, and added surprise fees after the work was complete. The carpet does look good and the installation experience was positive (Rick and his crew were great people). LEARNING: Be careful and be involved, talk to your contractor when he completes the measurements (otherwise Flooring America may just decide to add some sq. ft.).

We recently did a very large remodel on our home with carpet throughout house along with LVP flooring and a very large tiled shower. Ryan was extremely knowledgeable and helpful throughout the process, our master bath and shower turned out beautiful and even went above and beyond when it came to a small problem in the end having a lot of left over LVP.My husband did the install but they did the measuring. It was a custom order with no return but due to the fact that they measured They made it right with us! I general contracted the building of my own home and decided to work with Flooring America. Pricing was competitive and selection was great. As it turns out, we ran into a significant flooring issue after the install that was not directly Flooring Americas fault. Flooring America worked with us to resolve the issue to our satisfaction. After doing business with this store twice, the first time receiving the wrong product pushing our install back and the second having the installers stop 1/2 way through forcing us to complete the work ourselves. Me, against the wifes wishes wanted to try a third project using them again due to the fact we had a Flooring America credit card. Well I just received a phone call from the OWNER stating they dont want OUR business. I dont get how a business owner could could have so many issues running a shop and turn clients away. No wonder the employment turnover there is so high. There are way more flooring stores out there to have to deal with their level of incompetence. Lesson learned, as always I should have listened to the wife. She can say told you so on this one hahah. In the end Ill tear up the card and take my business else where BUYER BEWARE THEY ARE UNPROFESSIONAL! Integrity and ethics are questionable.

At a local big box store we had to wait 3 weeks after purchasing flooring to get an install date...which was going to be 6 weeks later! At Flooring America we purchased an in store product from Tim who was very helpful and he hooked us up with an installer who could come out the same day ...all for less money! Same day installing isnt usually the norm, but we so appreciated it after after the run-around we got at the big box store. Flooring America will be the first place we go for flooring needs from now on

We had both vinyl planking and carpet installed at our house. The experience of both selecting and buying were great - the salesman was helpful and informative without pressuring us at all. The installers were very hard working and conscientious and did a wonderful job. Very happy with both the process and results!

Initially we had picked out flooring (carpet and vinyl) from another store in mid 6/16. However, when we went to schedule installation they were booking out to mid 8/16 for the flooring we had picked or into mid 7/16 if we changed the type of vinyl we were putting in. We needed something sooner, so we opted to look at Flooring America. We ended up paying $483 more for similar product and they could install it within 1-2 weeks. I paid in full over the phone, big mistake.The contract installer (Jamie) showed up 1.5 hours late for the measurement, then double booked the install day (7/1/16) and showed up 6 hours later then we were first told. The installers hurried out when they were done before we could look at the product. They ended up causing ~ $650 dollars worth of damage to our paint and new walls. They also broke the nose off a deer mount that was on the wall. The vinyl flooring had ripples and bubbles in it.After repeated phone calls they agreed to have painters repair the walls, repair the deer mount and the vinyl floor. We finally had painters come on 7/16/16, they tried to give us the invoice when they left and we told them it had to go to FA, they noted they would send it. A different installer (they initially wanted to send the same guy out) finally came out on 7/21/16 to repair the vinyl floor. It came back up that afternoon and he had to come back out to fix it again on 7/23/16.We asked for a refund for the $483 difference we paid to this company because by the time it was completed, it was no sooner than the other place would have done it. We only went through them because of the timeline. Multiple days of work were missed for the install and repairs. Many repeat phone calls were made because we had trouble getting calls returned. We were not able to even get the owner on the phone until July 22nd. He refused to refund the difference we paid them, as he felt he did enough for us at this point and that they have gone above and beyond. We still have not gotten payment for the damage to the deer mount, we submitted a written receipt from a taxidermist. Also, on 8/11/16 we got a phone call from the painters they used asking for payment on the invoice, we have directed them back to FA as they agreed to pay them. I have completed a BBB complaint.I want to caution you greatly if you choose to use this company. Do not pay in full in case you problems as you will not be able to negotiate anything with them. Be prepared to have to call nearly every day to get the ball moving on things and don’t expect to have your phone calls returned. I would be hesitant to use anybody but installers that you know and trust. This is the worst experience we have EVER had with a company and wouldn’t wish it on anyone. Please be careful.

Best flooring company in Grand Rapids area. I had a national company try and rip me off after waiting 5 weeks for carpet. Went in to the local Flooring America store picked the role of carpet that would be going in my house, and to my surprise it was installed, whole house 3 days later. Flooring America has some great product for a fair price.Unfortunately I had some issues occur when I had my carpet installed, however it was through a 3rd party installer who left me with doors to rehang and trim myself, and a bunch of carpet threads/bits all over the whole house to clean up. This being a hassle and unprofessional I called Flooring America to speak with Matt who was my sales representative. He did some work and figured out with his management team what could be done to compensate the issues I had dealt with. They responded quickly and fairly in order to make up the extra work that ended up falling on to my shoulders to take care of.Seems as Flooring America cares about there customers and the experience they receive. Matt really made sure I was going to end the day as a happy and satisfied customer.

If you want to work with some one that doesnt honor their price or timeline to get things done then we would highly recommend them.We were given the runaround, told they could do one price for some flooring, to then them changing their minds. We overlooked that discrepancy as we had told them as long as they could get the parts in a week we would still go ahead. They said yes, we left a deposit. We got a call 4 days later from the builder ( not even the lady who sold us the product) saying the floor wouldnt come into the store for 3 weeks.Safe to say we are extremely disappointed, and would never send friends and family their way. Just bad misleading buisness.

I do not recommend this company. We picked a carpet and the sales associate Alex said based on our square footage we could do it for $1300 out the door including labor & tax. The measures came out in our house square footage was LESS, yet Flooring America charged an additional $250 for a metal tack strip by the fireplace and for bullnosing our stairs instead of the quoted waterfall. Alex said that it was an additional $8 per stair for the bullnose (standard stairs in 90% of homes) and the rest was for the metal strip. It didnt make sense, but we figured if thats the price for all the up charges so be it. When the installers came they did not use a metal strip by the fireplace (surpeise,surprise). We also noticed a large oil stain in our driveway after the installers van left and also all the tack strips on the stairs and in the transition rooms are poking through (ouch). We contacted Alex and he told us the installers would fix the oil stain; we only received a $35 credit for no metal strip????? which doesnt add up to the overcharges earlier. He also told us just to pound down all the tack strip!!!! We contacted them again a week later to say nothing has been done regarding the oil stain in our driveway. Weve had no guest and neither of our vehicles are leaking. We also asked for him to fix the tack strips since we paid almost $1,600 and its not just a patch here & there; its ALL 12 stairs and the transition rooms. We just keep getting excuses and the runaround. Again I do not recommend this company.
