I called on a Saturday for some emergency diesel work while I was visiting a friend (I live in Florida.) Although his diesel mechanic had the day off and they were unable to help me, the gentleman was able to help me find someone that could. If I’m ever in the area again and require their services, I’d definitely give them another shot to earn my business.

Initially spoke with Jeremy he was an excellent guy, but Jerry is the person that got this done. I had multiple errors on a Jetta he took it in and told me that he was going have to do a $95 diagnostic. At the end of the day there were no fixes needed, and Jerry waived the diagnostic fee. I trust him, and have decided that MTM is now my mechanic for all my cars. Thanks.

These guys are awesome. I came in to get a new a/c compressor installed on my 90s model truck. Very affordable and fair price for the service of the installation and a/c freon. What I was really impressed with was how thorough they were with everything not even relating to the service I came in for. My power steering pump was low on fluid. They took it upon themselves to add fluid for me without me even having to ask!!! That is integrity, ladies and gentlemen!!! Great mechanics and very friendly. I trust these guys and will always bring my vehicle here in the future.

Dropped my wife’s car off after hours, an auto part store said the battery was fine but it wasn’t cranking easily. Mike called the next morning, had it diagnosed and fixed right away. Turns out it really was just a bad battery. Back on the road no problem and without any extra fees or other garbage. Happy to have a good local mechanic close to home.

Ive been using Mike the Mechanic for awhile now on many occasions. From oil changes, battery and inside lighting problems to a/c repair, radiator leak and more. They have always been professional, courteous, quick to diagnose a problem and fix, and reasonable on their prices. Ive never had any problems at all and would recommend their services. Since I live close they also give me a ride home and pick me up when its ready if its going to take awhile.

I do all my own mechanical work but I had to change an ac compressor and needed the Freon recovered. I was able to get in immediately and the they had my Freon out within 15 minutes. Once I was done changing the compressor we brought the car back and had the system refilled. It was all one very reasonable price.I will definitely use mtm in the future if I ever need something I cant or dont have time to do.

I saw all the good reviews and went in for an estimate to rebuild the the front breaks on my truck. They looked it over and said it needed new discs and hoses and a long list of stuff and would cost $1246 !!!!! I knew that was very high so I shopped around. It DID NOT need the long list of extra parts and I got the job done for $147.43. Be careful and shop around. This guy will eat you alive!

Mike asked for personal information about payment of the vehicle I was trying to get fixed… He wanted the telephone number to the credit union where we pay the payments… So he could ask questions about our car went we only want something fixed on it… I do not recommend his services to anyone!

If you have ever had a mechanic that you either knew personally or was highly recommended by a trusted friend and were then so impressed by the service that you never went anywhere else again, then this is that mechanic. My wife has her hairdresser who is the only person she trusts to cut her hair, and doesnt mind driving an hour out of her way for an appointment. It is hard to find a mechanic you trust to not only do the best work possible, but also not try to screw you over with unnecessary repairs and cheap parts, which is why Mike the Mechanic (MTM) is the only business I trust to work on my vehicle.

Got transmission rebuilt here in June 2015. The day after the transmission was rebuilt and put back in my wife has the same transmission trouble on her way to work. This should have been a sign. Take it back and they replace the torque converter. May 2017 same transmission trouble. Wasted $2500 here. No way a solid rebuild on the transmission would have crapped out just shy of two years. My daughter drove to school and back thats all.

Initially great professionalism and flexibility. In getting quote, owner asked What will it take to earn your business?. They got it and then this happened...Wednesday... shop in Woodstock off Towne Lake performed the work and we picked up Thursday morning. After running a quick errand, the car started to smoke from what appeared, at first glance to be transmission fluid or axle fluid. A person from shop came to pick up my wife after she pulled over, left her there to get more transmission fluid from the shop so she could drive it back to the shop. She waited most of the afternoon (missing 3.5 hours of work). The shop thought it was just the seal breaking, they ordered another seal. The seal was replaced and my wife drove home (1.5 miles). She was getting ready for a evening work event and pulled out of the driveway and saw fluid in the garage. She then drove directly to the shop at 4:45 pm and her event in downtown Atlanta starts at 6:15. This is when they discovered it was a bad axle. Having to drop the car off again to allow them to get the next axle, we then had to get Uber to take her and pick her up from a work event- costing us more money out of pocket. They reordered the axle and then discovered it was the wrong part all along. Ordered wrong or wrong one delivered, at this point I dont care. Now it is Friday and I had to readjust all my out of town plans to ensure my wife a working vehicle. Got a call from the shop and asked them to change the oil while it was up on the rack. Thinking this was a reasonable time to allow them to reinforce some customer service. They said they would take care of it. Then third ordered part was delivered late Friday afternoon and my wifes car was delivered and then she had to drop the driver off at the shop (missing more work) and she then ultimately paid for the oil change. They were always polite and kind, the level of mechanical service they provided was definitely lacking. I just hope they did not mess up the transmission in the process of all of this. I have called to talk to the owner and am waiting on a call back.

They do NOT stand behind their botched repairs or parts. Spent over $2k on installation of a new catalytic converter 10 days ago. The new exhaust manifold seal they installed failed the following day after about 250mi of driving. My wife and daughters were 3/4 of the way to Orlando when engine lights came on and the car started sounding horrible. When my wife called me, I immediately called Mike the Mechanic and told them what had happened and that I couldnt leave my wife and kids stranded in Orlando w/o a car so they were going to take it into the Toyota dealership for repair in Orlando upon arrival there. I kept MTM up to date including providing all the contact info for the dealership doing the repair in Orlando. Toyota gave me the parts that had failed (including the new exhaust manifold gasket that had failed that MTM had just installed) along with all the receipts. When my wife returned from Orlando (after another $400 in labor and parts repair plus costs for a rental car while ours was being repaired PROPERLY this time), MTM would NOT offer any sort of warranty or even partial compensation on the bad parts or replacement labor. I provided them all the contacts (during the event while my wife and daughters were in Orlando) to the Toyota dealership to coordinate. They claim no one from Toyota would return their calls. So thats my fault now?! So we were totally stuck unless I wanted to flatbed the car back to Woodstock and rent another car? (Wouldve cost me more than the $400 Toyota charged to repair it) I am surprised at how blatantly bad their willingness to provide any sort of compensation is when it was a clear cut issue of bad parts (or installation) that they completed. There is no argument from them that their work/parts were faulty, only that they didnt repair the fault themselves here in Woodstock (duh! The car was 470 mi away when the parts failed 1 day after we picked it up from them!) After spending over $4k there over the past year on multiple car repairs in our househould, covering even a few $ on the labor to replace the part they installed was too much for them? It baffles the mind how a business owner can think that is a good business model when even they agree their workmanship/parts were faulty....
