Ive been coming to this store for quite some time after buying my home, Im probably here about every other weekend. This store was great at first but the staff has gotten progressively worse. The last visit was the final straw, I had to deal with some guy named Dan (with white hair) who was not only unprofessional but also EXTREMELY rude. I cant believe the attitude I received while just asking a simple question. I wouldnt even hire that guy to dig a ditch in my yard thats how unpleasant this man was, management needs to reevaluate their employees then Ill return.
Easy to find, right off of I-96, ample parking. This place has everything! From tools, housewares, cleaning supplies, DIY projects, gardening, etc. Great prices and sales, sometimes they even have rebates on items!
Usually the staff here is very nice. Friday was my first time doing an online order, when I came to pick it up the woman in the back working the pick up orders was extremely rude to me and kept rolling her eyes at me and acting like I was a big inconvenience. I will never order online again.
I will never shop at Menards again. We returned on 11/1/21 around 10AM 4 vanity lights, 3 were unopened and the one that we tried to hang was placed back properly in the box. When we went to return the lights at the Wixom, Mi location, the customer service boy, chunky, dark hair, mumbles, attitude, refused to give us the full amount back and told us the rebate was already apart of the price. I have bought MANY items from Menards as I have built my own home up north I know this isn’t the case. I showed the BOY the receipts and showed him the rebate that HAS TO BE SENT IN TO GET STORE CREDIT and he said no it’s already applied and NOTHING we can do. Pam who was behind the counter kept saying to the BOY with an attitude no you have to fix it, The Boy, would not fix it. So I was shorted on my return. If this Boy is the service manager, FIRE HIM. I WILL NEVER SHOP AT MENARDS AGAIN AND I HAVE NUMEROUS FRIENDS THAT ARE CONTRACTORS ……I will be sure to spread the word on my awful experience with the Boy at the service counter in the Wixom, Mi location. Save more money at Menards my A$$
I wouldnt reccomend bringing your service dogs here. During my shopping experience I had no issues until I got to the cash register. I was told they wouldnt help unless I waited outside with my dog. Luckily I was with family who stood up for me the but the lady was incredibly rude about it and had an attitude. Will not be coming back. Not a very friendly environment.
Many of the perennials look like they werent going to make it. This is one of my favorite stores, and I dont like to shop, first time in this location. Staff very polite and helpful. Love the landscaping possibilities. Very good selection of outdoor and water toys for children. Prices are pretty reasonable, 11% in store, mail in rebate is pretty rewarding if you shop here often and remember to mail in then take to the store. Wide selection of what you may need for your home, inside and out with snacks taboot.

I ordered kitchen cabinets, I was promised 4 to 6 weeks, it has now been 3 months and my order is not complete, they fired the only knowledgeable associate working in that department for not wearing a mask.Now I get the run around and they expect me to call their supplier to locate my cabinets
Employees are very helpful and pleasant clean and very organized and with the 11% rebate thats a no-brainer its amazing I love Menards I used to only shop at Home Depot and thats not the case now Home Depots last at my list so keep up the good work I even recommended my friend who has never been into a Menards and I said oh boy you dont know what youre missing I said they even have food in there and baby items and toys definitely hes going to get his wife and go check it out
It’s a good place to shop for garden items topsoil is decent and only $1.29 a bag. Their flowers and vegetables are great for the prices and most of all their staff is actually pretty knowledgeable in the garden center.
The employees are all so fantastic! Very knowledgeable and friendly! My favorite place to shop when Im here in Michigan visiting my brother!

Horrible customer service! My husband and I ordered 4 lamp posts online and had shipped to our house. Several chips/flaws were in paint and super flimsy product for 3x the price of home depot ones. Returned to store and was told 25% restocking fee. No where on order or email did it indicate this. The manager, Ashley, had to search all over their website to show us this. She was rude and not helpful and didnt listen to us as customers. She made us take lamps out of packaging to show defects and then she dropped one and tried to deny that she scratched it! I have never been so appalled by a store manager. Ashley should not be a manager... what happened to good customer service!?! I will never shop at menards again! Lastly, the patio furniture looks like it has been there since the 1980s.... again cheap and outdated!
Menatds is a great store. Lots of great DIY home products, great prices, great customer service.
We were denied entry because our 3 year old would not put a mask on. This is simply ridiculous. Shame on your store. We will be taking our business elsewhere.
Recently called up to the wixom menards and spoke with a very enthusiastic employee named Shannon. (I’m lying when I say enthusiastic) and I had a question in regards to a filter for my refrigerator and was abruptly cut short in the most monotone voice I’ve ever experienced and I ended up hanging up on her. Never have I felt unimportant as a customer with a simple question. Keep employees like Shannon and watch the customers flock to Home Depot. I’ll pay more for customer service in lieu of something cheaper.
Some of the prices are pretty good. But I drive 30 minutes to get to the store which is the closest my house and every employee is either rude or has no idea where anything to do with Lumber is located in the store. Or I should say if it is located in the store, or outside in the back Barn. I ask for help when I got there told them exactly what I needed and was told that it is Outback even the person that I asked out Outback in the barn, had me looking all over the Barn 4 Wood that was inside and when I went back inside and asked the guy at the lumber desk who is putting together a display deck he had the worst attitude Ive ever dealt with in Menards. Ill pay a little extra on some stuff and buy from lowes 1st, 2nd homedepot, Carter 3rd. And Menards can shove their 11% rebates up their u know what.
They had all the shades in the various sizes we were looking for. The helpful staff was able to quickly cut each of the 8 shades down to the correct sizes. They incorporate a digital saw system that is fast, precise and doesnt leave plastic ends shattered and tattered from the pressure clamp cutter incorporated by some other box stores.
Worst expreience went to help a friend out and got treated very eude and unkindly
You might be a red neck if the water fountain selection area at Menards is your kids water park...would be 5 stars but I can never get a damn lumber cart the outside cart carols are always full so if you want a lumber cart bring your own or special order one
Nice store; well laid out and clean.
Menards has a good selection of products and fair prices. It can be extremely difficult to find things though. Their website/app only gives general locations for products. I wish they had an aisle/bin like Home Depot.The checkout lines are pretty long in the afternoons. The AM hours are an ideal time to shop since there are more staff to help locate items and fewer customers at checkout.
I love Menards, they always have what I am looking for. However, the lighting stock is no longer that interesting.
Vastly superior customer support than lowes. Could actually find an employee within a minute and after only five minutes they had a forklift over and got the item I needed off of the top shelf.Clearly the CEO is not trying to take the money and drive the company into the ground, unlike a certain other chain.
BIG place, clean and lots of employees. Pretty wel stocked. It was my first time there so I was looking around than shopping. Pricing on some things were exceptionally low others a little high. If you havent been there you should stop in and check it out.

FYI never purchase vinyl siding from Menards. They don’t stand behind it,they just send you to the manufacturer. The vendor is terrible. We had defective siding replaced once after 18 months then the next side of the house went bad and had to be replaced . Now I have to call again when a 3rd side has faded and is blotchy.It’s funny that Menards took our money but won’t have anything to do with us.I wish I could give 0 stars.
We tried to find a sales associate to help us with purchasing a granite countertop, but none were to be found.....so we left. Is customer service a dying thing?
Special Order department is chaos. The last two pickups have been more than 30 minutes waiting for them searching for my stuff. Totally ridiculous. They need help.8-31-20, Update, special order pick-up was much better today, 7 minutes for them to bring a pallet of tile. Workers were helpful and a supervisor was checking to see if orders were going out.
The storm with some got a very nice setup for special order pickup. as long as you have your receipt and your order number drive right up parking the cones they load it for you and youre all set

Never been to a Menards, heard fantastic things about the store. I usually give 90% of my business to Lowes. Today I drove there expecting to spend at least $450 on a fire pit and gas grill, HOWEVER was rudely stopped at the door for not having a mask on.I completely understand that as of Sunday evening most NOT ALL but most stores will require masks. I heard Menards started this DAYS AGO. losing customers and money.I dont have an issue with wearing a mask. Matter of fact I had one in my car and I could have EASILY went back to get it. It was the way Menards Customer Service greeted me at the door, and the total disregard if they lost me as a customer.Again, was willing to spend over $450 today.What they could have done is sell masks at the door, if they decided to turn people away prematurely.Have a back up plan of some sort, so that theyre just not losing customers left and right.Im very disappointed in the way they handled that, So, just for that simple reason, I went back to the place that has never let me down. LOWES.
Compared with home depot, it is really difficult to identify the location of the item you were trying to find.

Clean, disinfected carts. Masks required no exceptions! 6 ft social distancing enforced. Has many cleaning supplies. Menards has food, lumber, hardware, basically a mix of everything. If a child can walk, must wear mask. They are doing a serious and awesome job for safety.
Had a great experience until I went to the customer service counter. The lady working was extremely rude and clearly had an attitude problem. Definitely will take my business elsewhere from now on.

Wish I could give them zero stars. Went into Menards to buy all our landscaping plants for my new deck at my home and all new appliances for my rental property. We we’re excited for our new purchase until we were told we couldn’t enter without a mask. I expressed my feelings about the matter but they pretty much said we weren’t welcome without them. We left, went straight to Lowe’s and they were happy to assist us, no masks needed. We spent $9874.89 and they even gave us 18 months same as cash. I guess being a free American at Menards doesn’t work for them. Their loss, our lesson and we will never step foot in Menards again.
Ordered an in stock at this store scaffolding online Saturday night. “Your order is ready for pickup.” Go to pick it up and wait half an hour. “Sir we don’t have that item in stock, did you get an email saying order is ready for pickup.” Yes I did. Also got a second email as I was inside cancelling the order that order is ready for pickup.
Very rude staff. Priced composite decking out back in January, went back into the store for a few light bulbs and to reprice the composite decking since the project will be started now in the end of winter/early spring time. Did not get to the first aisle before no less than 5 employees including a manager rushed me asking if I have a mask. A little over the top dont you think? All the while he is giving me the masks and social distancing are store policy. Did I mention while he was talking he had his mask under his nose? I did a quick look around and found employees standing within 6 feet of each other as well. If you are going to enforce your store rules then practice what you preach. I left the store and the project materials are going though Home Depot. Menards lost the $3300 project.
Dont go to this store ever! The workers are dreadful, rude I wanted to know a price for kitchen cabinets but a very rude worker told me that she can’t help me. She said that store is closing and I have to come back. When I told her it’s 7:40 and store closes at 9:00, she said that it takes TWO hours to check the price. She acts like she is working for free. She thinks she is a STAR. But she forgot that she is at work and her job is helping customers not to send customers away. I will never go back again. I spend my money at Lowe’s their workers are nice, friendly and helpful.
I ordered doors fairly effortlessly. However I had to go back in and return something and have been standing here for 10 minutes, Im still standing here. They are almost done helping the first gentleman, by they I mean one person in returns handling the next four people in line in front of me. Hopefully it wont take any longer. Are they shorty staffed?

Purchased a leaf blower and couldnt get it started. Tried to return it but couldnt because I had put gas in it already (not sure how to start it without gas, seems to help the engine run) The extremly RUDE customer service girl would only give out the service center number. THAT WAS MY LAST VISIT TO THAT STORE.

Was at this store on Sunday, we had to buy wood railing for our deck project. We did wear masks, all employees inside the store also had masks on. But when we drove to the back of Menards to pick up our lumber order, NOBODY (employees) had masks on!!! I asked one of them, young man, who helped us with order, why is no mask, he didn’t say a word. Unbelievable! One rules for inside, no rules for outside employees.

Erin went out of her way to make sure I had everything I needed. Erin was knowledgeable about my product. Great setup for pickups in back of store. (Exterior) Order online and theyll have it ready when you arrive. I pulled my own mulch but very convenient to drive up and load.

I spoke with Chip and Ryan in plumbing today, both were EXTREMELY helpful in making my trip to the store as streamlined as possible and helping pull some items for me due to a time crunch I am under that was not their problem. They still stepped up and helped without question. I will continue to drive past 3 other big box vendors to come to the Wixom Menards thanks to these two people today.
Very well stocked, and organized location! I was very satisfied with the fact Menards trained their staff very well in the current state mandated regulations regarding safe COVID-19 practices. Masks are required if you can medically tolerate one, staff are wearing them every time I visit, and they are never crowded with adequate check out stations open. You guys are doing a fantastic job!
I Loved it except for we werent able to bring in our ESA dog in... For that reason my wife didnt shop at Menards she went to Home Depot who allowed them.

Great store but discount is a pain!Would be nice if you got at time of purchase, instead of have to go thru all that paper work and mail in and waiting to get back from corporate and then back to the store to buy something that may not be needed to use money up that should of been used in the beginning when you purchased first item!!!!
I used to go to Menards often and have spent several thousand dollars there this year alone. Today I wan unable to enter the store because my 2 and 4 year old sons did not have masks on. This is above and beyond an already overreaching and likely pointless mandate. They have lost a customer for life. I am happy to drive a couple extra minutes to Home Depot.

Just gave my entire home renovation project to Lowes and Home Depot. I was refused entry because I cannot wear a mask. I have a physical disability that causes severe debilitating pain when there is any sort of touch (even the wind blowing causes pain). Menards refused entry. Had security hovering over me in a threatening manner. Then said I can order online FOR A FEE. So I have to pay more for items because Im disabled?Standing at the door way, you can visually see that there is no enforcement of social distancing and many guests and employees have masks pulled below their nose and mouth.
Very clean, well organized, employees were friendly and great prices! Ill definitely be back!

I love Menards and plenty of Parking.
I went to Menards to purchase some tools and possibly a riding lawn mower and a generator. As soon as i walked in, a Menards employee approached me and says where is your mask? I said i dont have one and would prefer not to wear one. He said that i had to wear a mask or i have to leave the store. While i understand that Menards has the right to refuse service for certain things as it is their store, i dont agree with them trying to enforce wearing masks as it isnt even a law in Michigan and is encroaching on our constitutional rights. I chose to leave and shop elsewhere. I have had nothing but good experiences up until this one and spent thousands of dollars in this particular store, but unfortunately i will no longer be shopping at Menards for this reason. Goodbye Menards.

This is another one of my favorite stores to visit. It seems that Menards has something for everyone. They have large selections for home improvement, outdoor equipment, automotive, gardening, etc. This store seems to have everything!I should also note that Menards is spotless.... something necessary if they want my business. Sales associates are very helpful.Menards is a great shopping experience!

I had a fantastic first experience at this Maynards last night! Two separate employees helped us. One walked us over to the lumber area, personally. The other helped us determine out specific needs, took us to the barn, and helped cut our wood for us before guiding is back to the front of he store. He was friendly, funny, and thorough. Also, I was amazed at the variety of products!! Im so exited I finally found this place, and I will definitely be back!!
