These guys are awesome! They resurfaced my tractor flywheel, and cut new pins for the pressure plate mounting. It saved me over 500 dollars, as the pins are not available for the tractor from the manufacturer. They took a very rusted, nasty looking flywheel, and made it look like new. Really nice guys, as well. The shop is really nice and clean. You can tell that they really take pride in it. I’ve definitely found my machine shop for all my future needs!

I am very grateful for this company. After many chances with other mechanic shops this is the best one I have ever been too. This is my second time visiting and using this mechanic shop. My first visit was awesome. Chris helped me with multiple issues that arose with the diagnostic of my car and has been over a year now and no more issues since. Today I went back to this shop from my previous experience and the manager Jimmy helped me. I was experience electrical issues. Turns out I need of a new battery after buying one 5 days ago from Walmart. Jimmy was very professional and honest with what was wrong with the car and gave me the best advice on how to solve the issue. He ordered me a new battery and also helped according I would definitely recommend this company if you are looking for honest, reliable, and knowledgeable mechanics. Also a gentleman name mike was very informative and helpful with putting the old battery into my car so I could take back to Walmart. My car was taking in today and was out by the end of the day too. Chris and the team over at Advanced Cylinder Heads are the real deal! I had a valve cover bolt snap into the cylinder head and they were able to extract it and retap it with new threads as if nothing ever happened. Everything went back together smoothly after repair. They are extremely prompt and have excellent customer service. Thanks again guys for getting my 2j back on the road! Will be returning for future projects!

I drove into ACH with a screw in my tire and the air leaking out quickly. I had to be back at the office for a meeting, and the guys at Advanced Cylinder Heads took amazing care of me and my car. I could not recommend this shop more!! They fit me in to their busy day, offered me water, WIFI and fixed my tire within half an hour. This is the type of service that deserves 10 stars. I used a set if their fully cnc’d 799 LS heads and the car went from a best of 11.78 to an 11.21 first time out with the new heads. Great service and the heads work just as good as they look!

I needed a head checked for one of my Detroit Diesel 8V92Ts. Several other shops were several weeks out to even look at it. I was told to bring it in and theyvwould try to look at it by the end of the day. They had it diagnosed and repaired in just a few days. While talking to Donnie i was impressed with their knowledge and experience and knew that i was not sacrificing quality for speed. I will used them again in the future and highly recommend them to others.

Old school but excellent work and very fast turn around

Well, I already wrote a review about this place before, but after the services I recieved from Donnie and the team here, Im writing another one. I needed my heads cleaned and some bolts extracted from my 862 LS heads. They were able to remove a stuck bolt that had an EZ-Out snapped off inside, and promptly informed me about some defects which they took care of with excellent precision and care. The heads came back looking fantastic, and I was able to have them complete a timing cover cleaning as well - just as professional as the head job. They will let you know exactly what you need and always do it right the first time. You might pay a little more dollar, but know you are paying to have it done right, done well, and done ONCE. To anyone who is contemplating a visit, make this your first stop for service or inquiries and see what they have to say!

I drove down from chicago to Orlando with my family, and my engine over heated and ruined my cylinder heads. With one day to spare before going back to chicago, Donnie the manager went above and beyond and took in my heads resurfaced and rebuilt them within 6 hrs. I was extremely grateful for his support, service and exceptional professionalism. Despite being extremely busy with other work Donnie understood my situation and took care of me. I stayed up all night putting everything together but my family and I were able to get back on the road and make it back to chicago! I brought the head from my wifes Mercedes 190E to be repaired due to corrosion and they were able to weld it, deck it, and reassembled in time for us to get the car to the Amelia Island Concours. I can not recommend a better shop to anyone. This is a place worth leaving your car, and I feel comfortable letting them handle any projects or issues I cant solve myself. Ive had my car serviced by them multiple times in the past (3 years ago, to be exact!!), and each time to this day they do an exceptional job with up-most professionalism and turnaround time. Im more mechanically competent these days, so I do most of my own work myself - but Ive had to bring in my engine for machine work & let them fix misc. issues I cant accomplish on my own. They are incredibly honest and will NOT rip you off. 10/10 shop, and so long as I live here I will never be taking my cars anywhere else. I had a starting issue on my rare 30 year old diesel imported from Japan. The knowledgeable techs properly diagnosed the issue and notified me of the parts needed to fix the issue.With the information provided by the techs about the parts needed, I was able to source various parts from Japan, Australia, and the United Arab Emirates. They were kind enough to keep my truck at their shop for weeks until the parts arrived from all over the world.After their repair the starting issue is now completely resolved! I admire their hardwork, dedication, and passion when it came to repairing my truck.If they can handle a 30 year old Japanese diesel that was never sold in the United States, then they can handle anything! This company literally saved my transmission. I though I knew what to do......I was sadly mistaken. If you want it fixed correctly this is the place. It’s like a NASCAR crew.

I brought my cylinder head to this shop to get it redone. The work itself was good. I did have one slight problem with the Cylinder head however. Immediately after finding out about it the owner handled the situation quickly, professionally, and with great understanding.It is nice to know that the owner of the business cares and will stand behind his work and team. I own a marine service. What separates a company dealing with engines from its competitors is when you have a problem how you handle it. Its going to happen! I had a small problem with a cylinder head I took to them the day before. Frankly with the damage to this head and condition of the head this issue could have happened at any shop. When I took it back to them and presented the issue there was no questions asked they took it back and had it complete by 2pm that day + did additional work to it I never paid for to make sure my head was perfect. Donny is a pleasure to deal with and they are a top flight company! I will be using then again and I highly recommend them to anyone! Great work at a fair price. Dropped off a cylinder to be worked on, couldn’t be given an estimate when it was dropped off. 5 days go by with 0 contact so I reached out to them only to be told they haven’t touched it because they are behind. I know things get busy but if your backed up maybe you should let the customer know that in the first place.

I paid $4,000 for a basic engine rebuild on a 5.7 2011 Ram 1500. About 3 months after the motor burns a quart and a half of oil every 1500 miles. I called the owner Jimmy and he told me to put thicker oil in the motor...what a joke. No matter how thick of oil I put in the motor it still burns at least a quart every 1500miles and this is without towing. If Im towing even a 1000lb boat I have to keep oil on me and check it every 200 miles. DO NOT HAVE THESE PEOPLE TOUCH OR EVEN LOOK AT YOUR ENGINE. They do not honor their warranties or even fix their mistakes. Do not do business with these people.

While visiting in Florida, my truck had a head crack. I live In Michigan so I did not want to venture across country with a cracked head. These guys are quality. They had my cylinder head resurfaced and good as new. Great quality service and for the right price. Thankful for these guys.

Fantastic shop and great people. I own a 06 ram 2500 diesel and was wanting to go the performance route and race the truck on the weekends and still use it to drive to work daily and tow my gooseneck. Jimmy the shop owner has a great local reputation in this scene and came highly recommended from a couple friends of mine which led me to Giving him a call. Upon calling him I knew I had found the place that was going to get my business. He explained how and why things worked, and advised me on what components I needed to achieve my goals and did the machine work on my head and re assembled it. With his teams knowledge and focus on quality I was able to reach my goals and then some. I came to them with an impossible task, and they were up for the challenge. A lug nut from the gates of hell was so stuck that every attemp to reason with this cursed piece of metal was futile. Blood, sweat, and tears cant begin to describe the man power that went into the job. After intense labor, and some help from the gods, they were finally able to say mission accomplished! The deed was done. I offered to sacfrice a lamb in the name these gods we call mechanics, but they were too gracious to accept anything more than a hand shake and the knowledge that they were able to help a peasant like myself. I cannot recommend this place enough, they are the mechanics this city needs. Save yourself the time of looking anywhere else, go here and have your prayers answered!

Two weeks just to polish a crankshaft, then they call me saying that it is ready but when I got to pick up the crankshaft, surprise!!! it had not yet arrived from who knows where, then I realized that the flywheel bolts are not there! I would not recommend them anyway, very unprofessional

Wow! These guys are absolutely amazing! I had the opportunity to deal with the manager Donnie and owner of the company Jim. I had them rebuild my 2.5 liter jeep head.... with a busted stud and broken drill bit stuck in the old stud.... I expressed my time concerns as my vehicle is a daily driver.... and was told I would get it back in 24 hours.... low and behold I was contacted at around 4 the same day and told it was ready for pickup! Everything went back together perfectly! And I found the shop to be very affordable with quality service.... I plan to send my ladys vehicle in soon to have them take a look at concerns I have, at the complete auto service side! Thank you again Mr. Spinelli and Donnie for amazing service! I would sincerely reccomend these guys to anybody!

I just had my 3sgte flywheel resurfaced for $70. The customer service was great and even picked up the flywheel a few hour later. I cant wait to get it back in with my new clutch and enjoy driving my car again. Thanks guys I appreciate the same day service. 7/14/16 update, went back today to have a carrier bearing removed and new one installed. Manager didnt really want to come look just wanted to get me in office and quoted me $100...crazy. I went across the street to discount transmission and got it done for $25. Save your money and time and just go straight to discount transmission. Advance cylinders heads has an ok machine shop and am still happy with resurface.

Shop did some amazing work on my 1.8 Miata. Head was squared and straight, perfect for my turbo build. Ill be back with any future project.

Was having an error with a cylinder head bracket that I couldn’t get off. Brought it to them and they took it off in no time, and were pretty genuine about it at that. Would work with them in the future simply because of the type of people that they are!

Took a flywheel to get resurfaced, got a call back saying it was warped to bad and if they cut any more it was going to be out of spec. Took another flywheel to them, that one came out really good and they didnt charge me extra due to the first flywheel. Customer service is excellent and very friendly.

Works cant explain how happy I am when it came down to customer service and most importantly the magnificent work theses guys did with my heads I would recommend anybody who want excellent work and a very fast turnaround!!!! Thanks jimmy 🗣

Loaned my son the money for an engine overhaul. Three months later the engine was burning over a quart of oil. A reputable business would redo the work and fix the problem . $4000 wasted..

I had been having a problem locating some pins for LT-1 1997 motor...Looked for over a week calling around Orlando Fl. I did find these pins at Chevy dealer and several other parts stores...Now You only need 4 all together.......But to get these pins from Chevy or other parts...You had to by packs of 20 At $4.00 each...Or pay 5 x price to have shipped....When I called and spoke to Advanced Cylinder Heads Machine Shop....They knew that pin used in LT-1 Is used in several different motors....They had them in stock....They took there time to listen to the amount of stress I had been through...Very helpful and know what they are doing.... The next day I went down to buy the parts and seen there shop...Very clean..They was taking care of there customers with smiles on faces......THEN GAVE ME THE PARTS....Telling me he hopes this can help with the stress...... To my Facebook friends that know about my Real life...WOW.... To someone just ready this.....I did not say or tell a person in that Machine Shop.....Im have stage 4 cancer and Im on Hospice .... Im trying my hardest to restore a SS Chevy Camaro 30 year anniversary Brickyard 400 car to leave to my Children.. Worst possible service. I called in asking about a 2jz head and was told it would be 80$ to inspect it. When I dropped it off. I was informed the price was now 160$. I had them do the work anyways. When I picked up the head I received all the valve train-parts in a ziplock bag. I was told that it would be an additional cost to reinstall everything. They lost my 2 of the sensors that were left on the head which I warned them about. They are reluctant to help me fix the problem they created.

I had a problem with the handrim for my racing wheelchair. If it couldnt be fixed Id have to get a whole new one. I found Advanced Cylinder Heads on Google, and called them. Chris was able to fix the problem, in less than 15 minutes!!! He was very friendly and professional. Would highly recommend.

As always Ive been in favor of supporting local businesses and less of the larger corporations. Noticed my AC wasnt blowing out of the right vents I stopped into this local mechanic shop. The owner Jim showed me the solution and offered the way of completing this task myself. You know youve come across good customer service skills when you hear well to save you money.. In minutes he directed me to a Car Quest around the corner and for no more than 75 cents my AC was blowing properly. A foot of rubbed tubing, a little know how, and a razor blade. Im sure not every shop in town wouldve given me that suggestion. 5 stars!
