They saved me money. Dealership said I needed to have something replaced so I bought the part and took it here for installation. Turns out that the part didnt need to be replaced at all!!! Headed back to the dealership for a refund. Glad I didnt just take their word for it. SMH Due to Hometowns honesty I will be back for my future needs. Very refreshing

I was visiting a friend here in Lake Wales and my alternator and battery failed. Eli was very informative on the phone when I called and scheduled to fixed my truck after the 4th of July holiday. Was Getting a loud sound from front of Vehicle. Looking for a good shop. Found this shop decided to try them out. Brought the car down to check it out was busy But owner had some time to here the noise. decided to have bring car in next day. Drop it off that night. Next day call me said lucky you were not driving it cause would have a serious problem. Call me back stated problem quoted me a price said go ahead with repair, would take a week to fix. But my surprise only had car for 2 days Price to fix was allot less quoted. Excellent job, good honest people. Will be doing all my cars.Ms Charlene

So after getting the ol bait and switch from another local garage, I called Hometown to see what theyd charge me to install some parts I had purchased from a parts store. Brake pads for all 4 wheels and a cv axle. The price they quoted me was half of what the big brand garage wanted, so I made an appt for this morning. Dropped my car off at 8 when they opened, and 2 hours later they called to tell me it was done! Super quick! The mechanic there also fixed my previously stuck glove compartment door so that I could open it and he also installed some velcro on my drivers side visor because it was broken and wouldnt stay up. Its an older car so these things happen. And the glove box and visor were fixed at no charge! These guys are really good, really fast, and really professional. Theyve earned my future business to say the least. If your car needs repairs, check with these guys first, you wont be disappointed!

Can’t say enough about this place. Dropped my van off in the morning and talked with them a bit about my upcoming road trip. They replaced ac compressor which was why I was there, but then fixed and checked a few other things as they knew I was hitting the road at no charge! And they had my van done same day within a cpl hours. Thanks guys and I already recommended you to a few friends. Will always take my vehicles here so long I’m in winter haven.

I found this place by googling auto repair shops around winter haven and I liked the reviews. When I called to get a price idea, he was very nice and said he would have time to fit me in the same day. I called about 4 other places before this place and all the other ones were more expensive. I needed to get new brake pads and new roders. My car sounded horrible when I dropped it off there. It was making a bad grinding noise. He immediately showed me the problem and took care of it, plus my car was done really quickly. I also got an oil change as well, and the price was very reasonable for all the work I had done. I plan to make this my new mechanic place for my husband and I. I would recommend this place to anyone! My Dad is planning to get some work done there now because he was pretty impressed with the service/price/ and how quickly it was handled as well. Thank you! I didnt feel nervous or have any kind of feeling that I was getting ripped off like most car shops make me feel.

I had a good experience with them. They replaced a thermostat and radiator hoses. Several little things caught my eye...rather than just removing the old hose and sliding on the new ones,they actually cleaned the areas where the hoses attached! Something I would do if I did the job myself and a nice touch.....also, my window washer fluid bottle was missing its cap, I had a rag stuffed in to keep out dirt, they replaced it with a cap (used) that they probably had lying around that fit perfectly...no mention of it and no charge for it, another nice touch! They also drove me back home when I dropped my truck off, I live just down the road but another nice touch! They will definitely get my business again.......

We were visiting legoland from Fort Lauderdale and when we were 15 min away from the park our car started to malfunction, all the dashboard lights were on and the car was shaking, I found hometown Auto Repair on google and I gave them a call, Eli was very nice and knowledgeable on the phone so we took our car to his shop, he figured out problem within a few minutes and he went above and beyond and drove us to the park while working on our car, he kept on touch during the day to tell us the progress of the repair. If we didn’t live so far down I would definitely have him as my go to mechanic.With 3 kids on tow and the probability of having an awful day Eli saved the day!Ps: Also very affordable!

***HIGHLEY RECOMEND***HONESTLY HAS TO BE THE MOST LEGIT GARAGE IVE ENCOUNTERED***I grew up in a garage working around cars so Im quite knowledgeable when it comes to auto repairs... But what my car did before she just died on the side of a local hwy was hard for me to even attempt to describe the sounds it made and the weird series of events prior to the her stalling out. Im from NJ only in FL visiting.. While waiting on AAA, we had lunch and the waitress recommended Hometown Auto.I showed up a little before 5pm on a Friday. The owner Eli & his wife were both so very nice.. My car was put on a computer and I was given a diagnosis within minutes. He told me it was a sensor, gave me the info to grab the part at an autoparts store and showed me which sensor to swap out. He pointed out a few minor things I might want to have it looked at when I get home to NJ as preventative maintenance and the whole time he was speaking to me I was thinking this guy has to be the most legit mechanic I have ever met. No up selling no nonsense and no bull*%#+.I asked him how much would it cost for him to do everything and his price (including the part) was less than half of what I thought he might try to charge me. I handed him the keys, told him Id be back to pick it up in the morning since it was close to closing time and even tried to pay him upfront. He wouldnt accept $ until after it was fixed of course but I couldnt have been more relieved knowing my car was going to be good to go for the trip home to Jersey.I havent had any problems since my car left his shop!

Took my truck there today and Eli was there to help in every way possible to fix my AC before having to resort to the final step of replacing the compressor which is not a cheap fix he worked on my truck for a good part of the day ruling out different possibilities and only charging me for close to nothing long story short I will continue taking our vehicles there
