Had an amazing experience today at the Hamlin UPS Store! I needed to print a logo for a costume I was making, and I did not have the right paper. The employees took their time and helped me find a solution that worked even better than my original idea! They were patient, meticulous, and kind! They have a made a customer for life!!!

The owner of this place is so very rude. I have a business box here since I hey opened. It never fails, everytime I go in there and the owner is there he is rude when he helps, almost like I am inconveniencing him. Sorry to ask you to help me help your business. I am closing my account here. Mike was awesome,too bad he retired or quit, maybe because of the owner. Chuck is awesome too. When the owner is not there the employees are always upbeat when you enter,not so when he is there!

Owner is very rude. No customer service what so over. Seen him go off on many customers. Hes gone off at me. Its always miserable in the store when hes there day. Probably the reason for them being short staffed also because hes so rude to them as well

Have gone into this store numerous times for shipping needs. A worker in the store said that I was shopping too much when I had 4 Amazon returns. My last return this week was thrown against the wall after being scanned. Grateful it wasnt breakable. Will drive elsewhere which is a shame because the location is convenient. Would have loved to have a positive experience here.

What to say about the UPS Store at Hamlin Center?The store is very clean, they do Amazon returns, shipping, notary, print and have their email address posted all over the place for easier sharing of information for them to print.They follow social distancing, mask wearing, and even have plackards to protect customers and associates. The associates have a good sense of humor.Good store.

Unless you bring your own prepaid label be prepared to be over charged and quoted the highest price ! I was given ONLY one option by the person there who proceeded to tell me I can go to the post office if I wanted cheaper, I then asked if they could mail it through USPS ( usually my last resort) I was told no I would have to go to the post office . ( even though I have posted USPS items through them before ) I agreed to pay for the shipping when I asked where the tracking was they said it was extra which I agreed again to pay for. They then provided tracking through USPS!!!!. (Thought they said 30 seconds earlier I had to go to the post office !!!)I have shipped this exact package multiple times, same size, same weight, paid about 4 times the amount I normally pay . Granted prepaid labels are a lot less but I wasnt expecting to be cheated by an independent store . Stay FAR away, very dishonest location!!! .I most likely got the franchise owner as he seems to be the only one who in the past acted like he didnt know how to take my commercial UPS ID. Will only be going in with prepaid labels, if I dont schedule a UPS pickup .I was very disgusted by the dishonesty from this location but this has happened multiple times from this location (same person ). Bad reviews are never my thing but buyer beware if you choose to use this store !

What can I say, it’s a place that accepts packages. When you’re nice to them they grunt, ignore you, or give you a sarcastic response. It gets the job done but isn’t pleasant. Go to the Lakeside location for better customer service.

Ive been going to this UPS for approximately 2 years because of the location. After going a few times when this store initially opened, each time prior to returning I wondered will get a staff member who is friendly or someone who makes me feel like Im not welcomed. I continued to go there out of convenience. Yesterday when another customer and myself walked in at 6:29pm we were greeted with YOU JUST MADE IT IN BY THE SKIN OF YOUR TEETH and he locked the door behind us and stated he didnt care how much someone complained... Clearly the staff had a really horrible day, I get that. Im writing this because of the pattern of unfriendly, unwelcoming behavior so that you know what COULD happen to you when you patronize this UPS store.

We have returned several Amazon packages there. Sometimes they will scan the package right away which will alert Amazon that the item is received and starts the refund process. Other times when you drop off the returns they will not scan it and supposedly just ship it off and eventually it gets scanned but this delays the Amazon refund process by a couple days until scanning happens. I have called there a couple times to talk about this issue and they could care less.

Almost every time I go to this particular UPS it feels very unwelcoming. One particular person almost always sighs when I walk up with multiple Amazon returns. I know it may not be fun, but COVID has made it where I place many more orders online and returns are a necessary evil. I don’t enjoy going there. I tend to drive farther away just to have a normal transaction.

I’ve been in the Hamlin Community for a while now. really sad knowing that we give this business lots of money and they treat customers so poorly. I will definitely not be coming back. The old man name Dan I’m guessing with glasses is a total unprofessional individual who should just quit his job if he doesn’t like it. I have my own business and last time I went they printed out my labels and had no problem. Of course this guy was in today and was being a total you know what. Will be calling corporate on this place because this has been happening to offend.

Clean, conveniently close but consistently poor customer service. Without fail, you leave feeling like your visit was a serious inconvenience to them. Even though they handle Amazon’s returns for free, my wife still avoids the location. I wish it were better. UPS management needs to get more involved.

Consistently poor customer service. Always feel like I am bothering them with my Amazon returns. Dread going there.Update: Just about a year later, the customer service is even worse. I didnt think it was possible, but Ive watched multiple employees be directly and outright rude to people (including myself) who just want to do Amazon returns.

This UPS location is top-notch! I do all my shipping and mailing from this location. The employees are patient, helpful and considerate! I have sent many packages through this UPS location over the years, and also made use of their notary service, which I also highly recommend. This is my UPS location of choice!

They were so kind and went above in beyond in helping me with a piece of missing mail! This missing mail happened to be my passport, birth certificate, and social security card (that I sent certified, however receipt got accidently thrown away) so pretty important. The associates and the owner were very kind through process and luckily I got everything back before my trip to Mexico, which is in 12 days!

Edit: After several months, it appears the issues have actually been addressed. The two employees are rarely there anymore, and even when I run into them they have not been rude. The other employees have been very helpful. I appreciate the attention that was brought to the issues and have updated my review to 4 stars.I cant think of many other places Ive been that I have walked in happy and left in a bad mood. The two male employees that are always there have obviously 0 customer service experience and are just rude. Ive been here a handful of times thinking maybe they were in a bad mood, but its the same thing every single time. Today, like every other time Ive been here, I walk in to just drop off a package. I say hi, no response. They scan it, give me a receipt, I say thank you and have a nice day, and they respond with NEXT IN LINE! You actually dont need any customer service skills to be a decent person and not rude. Heed the warnings from the other negative reviews, youre much better off paying an extra buck to have Fedex come pick up from your house than have to drop off here.

While I’ve always had good service at this store in the past, I’m a little baffled why, at their busiest time of the year, they decided to change their opening hour from 8 AM to 10 AM. This has resulted in long lines and wait times. I’ve driven by three times in the past couple of days to drop off an Amazon return which should only take seconds, only to drive away in dismay at the enormous line of people waiting to get inside.

I use them all the time and they always do a great job. I can only imagine how difficult it must be right now with all the Amazon orders, due to the amount or returns they have to process. Amazon is super convenient, but somebody has to handle all the boxes! Thanks UPS!

Convenient location, wish it was bigger but my issue is every time I go there the gentlemen behind the counter aren’t pleasant and kind of rude. We were next in line and as we walked up to the counter the guy threw down the previous persons box on top of another box and did not seem to care whatsoever.

Trust all the negative reviews. They really have horrible customer service skills. Customer service is one of the pillars of a great business but sadly this UPS franchise lacks it. I am not sure if they lack it or do not care to learn and grow in that area. I have been to this UPS store over 30 times and I have not had a pleasant experience yet. I really hope they listen to their customers and make some changes. Hire people that actually enjoy being around customers. I go out of my way to go to another friendlier UPS store. This local community deserves better. Owners- here is a tip- when you reply back to negative reviews- take some responsibility and seek to do better. Your community is telling you what you need to do. Please make some changes in customer service.

I really like the fact that they do USPS drop offs. It makes it very convenient for Ecommerce sellers. I do have to say the employees are not friendly. They seem to dislike their jobs or people. It makes it very awkward for the customers.

I been using this UPS Store regularly for over a year. They are friendly, courteous and always helpful. I have read some of the negative reviews and wonder if theyre talking about a different store. The UPS Store at Hamlin treats my wife and me wonderfully with all our mail, packaging and shipping needs. I highly recommend them!

My local store. Always great service: friendly and helpful. Ive personally experienced one of the employees giving a person on the phone direction, when a customer just hung up without thanking the guy. He said happens all the time. So before leaving a negative comments and review, make sure you treat people with respect and how you want to be treated.

Summer 2020 Update:Just had a very pleasant experience with an older white man. He cracked jokes, explained the return process for my Amazon product and was overall happy to help (Averaging my two reviews at 3 stars).OLD REVIEW: Fall 2019I’ve lived all over the states, and often count on the local UPS store for moving and printing, as well as shipping, since I have an online small business.I decided to try the new Hamlin store since I was running errands in Hamlin, any way. I ordered print copies for an upcoming business trip online. After a couple hours, my order hadn’t even been viewed. I was in the area and decided just to walk in. The two older men working informed me they were too busy to check online orders the past two hours. They said it would be quick, so I didn’t mind waiting.They showed me a test print, and it looked really bad. I have gone to numerous UPS stores for printing, and have print experience myself, as a digital artist with actual education with that background. I knew my document was perfect for print. I commented on the poor quality (colored edges were fuzzy, and black type was bleeding from a laser print) and the man said that it was just how my document looked, so I had them continue with the copies, since it was already paid for and I was in a rush.Overall, the man working the front was somewhat short-tempered in a calm, condescending way. I will not return to this store, and encourage locals to visit the Summerport location instead. Employees there are courteous and patient with actual customer service.

I went there about a week ago to try to send a package back to Amazon. The taller older guy was helping me but it just seemed like I was just inconveniencing him. I had to print out a label as Amazon didnt give me a QR code and seeing that its a ups store I asked for assistance to print. He said he was gonna charge me which whatever, thats fair and it is a business. I sent him the label which he had to OPEN but he wouldnt. I just dont think that he was computer savvy or just didnt want to open it. I have up and contacted Amazon for a QR code and the other guy helped me, shorter older too but CLEARLY NOT grumpy. I would rather drive further out than go to the place again.

Beware do not go here.. they will over charge you and if you bring in pre-labeled packages they will be rude to you because they can’t over charge you. The guy (owner I believe) upfront tried to charge me $60 for the same type of delivery I went home frustrated and printed out at for $12.It’s a shame we have to now drive out of my way because this business is run so poorly.

I should’ve listened to the reviews of others who complained about the customer service here. I took my stuff and left and will go to Summerport from now on. The person ahead of me was poorly treated and after having read the reviews I realized they were true.Even the owner’s response to the negative reviews is condescending - asking for more details when people have left more than enough detail. I had hoped for the convenience of sending something back to Amazon but didn’t realize I’d be charged for a label. The Amazon return says nothing about that - just to show a code and that I didn’t need to print a return label. But the guy in front of me was charged to print it. That’s ridiculous.

Worst treatment of customers ever. Thank god I had already labeled my packages. The poor guy in front of me got humiliated by the old guy thinking he is being funny. It was so bad the guy took his stuff back and left. First and last time I step in this place. Never had an issue with the Summerport store. And just so everyone is aware this is my first review ever since I have never felt the needs to but this guy is ridiculous. Don’t believe me ? This is a review of just this location. I have no issues with UPS. I usually do my Amazon returns at a different UPS location and when Amazon sends me the Print Label option, I will go and the associate will charge me .10 cents to print the label from his computer since I dont have a printer at home.An older Caucasian male in an orange shirt seemed like he did not care to help me with this request. With an inconvenient face he said We gotta charge you $2.00 to use the computer and another .15 cents to print out the labelNot only did it seem like he didnt want to help with this request but to charge for that service when other locations dont doesnt seem right.The only thing that separates your UPS from another is the service you offer and I will say this location did not offer that on my first and last visit.

They have the worst customer service. The guy behind the counter always looks annoyed when I drop off a few STAMPED pieces of mail or prepaid boxes. They are not helpful or friendly. Its worst than the DMV! I drive 10 miles away to the post office in Winter Garden just to avoid this store.Edit: I send individual letters 1 or 2 letters, NOT BULK. The angry old man behind the counter is not refusing to take the letters but he does have a very unfriendly ATTITUDE! Why dont you address the terrible attitude your employee has versus trying to defend yourself online with petty details!

I see that other people got their own share of humiliation and bad treatment from the people who work at this store. I never went to a business and felt so uncomfortable by the rude and condescending attitude of its people as I felt in this establishment. As the other person mentioned, I never go out of my way to write a negative review about a business no matter how bad the customer service is, but these people are way up there when it comes to making you feel unwelcomed and unappreciated as a customer. UPS should not be associated with these type of small businesses. They are going to ruin their reputation. Horrible experience, I will never step a foot in this store again.

EDIT: My sole concern is the condescending and rude treatment of a customer. This has nothing to do with following rules of the I-9. That was never an issue- that’s why it was submitted successfully in accordance with my employer and the USCIS.I have never gone out of my way to write a negative review. Ever. But Michael the notary was so extremely rude and condescending that I left feeling humiliated and upset. I now see others mentioning him in reviews as well, so I can see that I’m not alone. I have never been treated worse in a customer position in my life. Take your notary work to the bank, or the UPS at summerport.The other day I went in to print something, and the gentleman working was very polite (I can’t remember his name) But after this experience with Michael, I will never step foot in this store again.

Michael has a really bad attitude. We are big users of UPS Stores, We rent two mailboxes at more remote locations, so when this store opened just round the corner we were keen to move them to this local store. However my wife went in to use the notary service and the service from Michael was terrible. I shant type up the full details but if I would have had my way I would have gone into the store and told him what I think of him. Im hard to upset and have left 5 star review for the UPS Store in Four Corners. I also recommend the Summerport branch. Just dont use this one.

More than customer service: I was in such a hurry and had to leave my box still open with a bunch of miscellaneous things inside the box, including sun hats and hangers, cause they wouldnt fit my suitcase. What a surprise when my box arrived home to see all my stuff so well packed with extra paper and bubble wrap and my hats in a way that didnt get damaged or screwed up!!! Thank you so much, blonde lady (morning shift) for taking so much care of my things! :)
