I had only been browsing for a couple minutes before I was asked if I needed help. The very-nice lady took me to exactly what I was looking for. Saved me a lot of time. Also, their selection blows Lowe’s away! I love shopping local. You get better service and are helping keep $ in the local economy. A+++++++

Maybe you have to catch these guys at the right time on the right day. My two experiences with them have just been negative. Mainly due to the lack of any customer service. Simply put, a little rude. Only go here if you know what you want and dont have any questions. Else, you will be disappointed in the service you receive.

Purchased soil, was told each scoop was a yard so I bought 2 at $38 each. Once loaded barely went over half my truck bed. Neighbor told me 2 yards will not fit in 6.5’ truck bed. Next day went to Popes and purchased 2 scopes, each half a yard at $24. So 1 yard and had much more than Stratford gave. I consider that stealing and lying.

This is where you can go for practically all you landscaping needs, the owners/staff are always very friendly, and the are very knowledgeable.

Love the selection and staff are great! I just Dont understand why the man that takes the money is such a grump!

Good material n better prices

Couldnt have been happier, had 50 bales of pine needles delivered. They were able to get to me within hours. Michael, delivery, was polite and very helpful. Stacked bales neatly in the shade (much appreciated) David, the manager was polite and courteous on the phone and helped me get the order placed. Thank you guys so much. Well be doing business again!

Very friendly and helpful! I have been there several times for both plants and landscaping material, and they are always around if you need any questions answered. At the same time, they are in no way, shape, or form pushy, which I truly appreciate. You can tell they take fantastic care of their plants, and truly know their stuff.

No help at all, most stuff didnt even have labels or prices on them. The few things we did see prices on where pretty high priced. Needed help to find alot of items and was willing to buy a whole truck load if someone had come to assist us.

We ordered topsoil on a Wednesday and paid for it. Called on Saturday to confirm and they couldnt find our order. When found they were very rude and the manager said I knew nothing about this. They treated us as If it was an inconvenience to deliver it as promised and when asked a time they said your 4th on the list. We have used them many times for our landscaping jobs but we will no longer be working with them.

This should be your go-to place for getting any kind of landscaping equipment in Winston-Salem! Stratford yard landscape supply store is an excellent group of outdoorsy, fun, and very helpful people. When you go, be sure to make sure to speak to the employee inside of the hut that is in the yard. They will help you find anything youre looking for and are incredibly friendly and helpful. I personally bought fieldstones for my yard, and bought mulch for my hedges. Prices were unbeatable especially by the big box stores!

These folks are great - I have bought everything here including hardwood mulch, pine straw, azaleas and crape myrtles and could not be more happy. Great pricing and very helpful. They deliver as well. Highly recommend!

Update...2 years after post, owner responded with just a Thank you, obviously to the first 2 lines only. Not bothering to actually read the full review.The paragraph concerning sod was totally ignored. THIS.....is an example of detail expected from this business. What a joke!If your going for rock...great place. Delivery guys do a wonderful job and are respectful.Sod on the other hand was a huge $2,800 mistake. They roto tilled the old grass up, nothing was put down or mixed into soil ( I have sand) Rained like crazy and watered, grew great at first. The dogs went to the side yard ( not sodded) for 2 months, so they stayed off the new sod. When there was a full pallet area that died within 2 months, no one would come out to look, didnt even want to know my name. I spent $2,800 for a yard that looks the same as it did when they first came except now I have plastic mesh on the ground from the sod. The owners response.....hire a landscaper to take care of the yard!! REALLY???? No paperwork was given to me at the time of installation, no warranty (as discussed the day the owner came to see the yard). Im told now, they dont give warrantys... I WOULD NOT HAVE HIRED THEM and am so sorry I did. If you still choose to...good luck!

Does anyone work here besides the hispanic guys moving pallets? Couldnt find a single person that could tell me why their stone is WAY OVERPRICED.

The owner are very rude

We were getting landscape rock. Had gotten there before, where the loader has to load it into your truck. But this time the owner demanded that it be paid for ahead of time, but there is not sign anywhere on the premises that says that, so they are assuming we are going to steal something. If they want things paid ahead of time they should have signs posted..not a good way to do business through insinuations.

Worst company I have ever hired for yardwork. Joseph, the owner, after discussion of scope of work completed 2/3 of the work, took payment and never came back to finish the job. Furthermore, after a google review, the owner has tried to silence my warning other consumers via threat of lawsuit. Buyer beware when it comes to working with this group.
