Do you like rocks? This is my 3 cubic feet of fill dirt for $145.00.See for yourself - this is what I got.Im a 62 year old lady with a rocky job ahead trying to dig out some dirt from this pile.Then Ill have to dispose of these rocks somehow.Ugh.

The purchase process was great but the delivery not so much. I ordered 13 yards for my driveway. Not sure if I even got 13 yards but atleast 5 ended up in my grass. It was supposed to be spread dropped but instead I got a pile. Have you ever tried to get gravel out of your grass? I called for some type of resolution and all I got was Im sorry, my delivery driver didnt mention it. Of course not because he messed up. I wouldnt recommend this company. My first experience will be my last and I guarantee you I will need more gravel in the future.

If you like sand, and you dont judge or otherwise oppress silicon grains with impunity, This Black Sand is for you. This place has the motherland! The best Black Sand. period. I wanna be buried in this stuff. And I only choose racially impartial Black Sand. Why, shouldnt you?

What a great company! They are polite, professional, and incredibly respectful. I have now had mulch and stones delivered, both delivered in less than 48 hours. I had a special drop off for some rocks and they were completely accommodating,even with the change and difficulty of the new location! Would HIGHLY recommend!

One of the few remaining landscape supply businesses in Winston Salem that actually cares about serving their customers. Ive been going here for years.My only complaint is that their prices are a little higher than other places I used to purchase from (unfortunately the highway 52 construction shut down the cheapest sand and mulch company in town).Recently, another landscape supplier here didnt even want to deliver to North Winston because they said it was too far away. Then the guy told me that he didnt even have any sand available as I looked out his office window at two mountains of sand - he has more sand available than anyone in town, thats why I went in the first place. He then referred me to Black Sand because he knew theyd deliver to me. Because, you know, its worth $300 to them to drive their truck a few miles.

The owner was very friendly and helpful, both by phone and in person. We were able to get on the schedule for delivery the next business day. We also asked what size tarp we should have on our driveway (to keep from having to pressure wash the driveway after delivery) and the size suggested was right on the money! I was incredibly impressed when our load of compost topsoil was dumped *exactly* in the middle of the tarp we laid out in our driveway.

Honest folks running a good business. Had an issue with a payment being processed twice and they fixed it immediately.Will definitely return in the future.

Ordered brick chips from them. Product was full of trash, pieces of fabric and plastic bottles, and price was $100 dollars more than what was quoted on initial contact. You would be better off with some one that is more honest and up front with their pricing.

Great product at a good price but does not respect other businesses time. My crew sat at a job site for over an hour waiting for a delivery with no word at all from them that they were delayed. Wasting our time and money, with not even an apology. Very unfortunate.

I was happy with the first two loads from Black Sand, but the third load was sent on a multi-axle truck that severely damaged my driveway. The company explained that they are not responsible once their truck leaves the curb. I accept responsibility for a reasonably sized truck, but when the dispatcher asked if they could send a larger truck I said OK. I did not expect a multi-axle dump truck for my small driveway that has curves and runs very close to my house. The truck almost did not make it out of my driveway and made at least 12 tight up and back maneuvers to exit. This is bad judgement on their part - this was their third trip to my house and I expected them to use better judgement on what truck to send to this location. Was impressed with the drivers and product - not impressed with management and hiding behind their policy. Repair of driveway will be expensive.I have submitted a claim with the Better Business Bureau after unsatisfactorily discussing issue with your office. Your response to my issues have been slow and unhelpful to this point.
