Its a great store, new inventory being brought in all the time. Specials on items being marked down. Check by often for really good deals.
Habitat is always on point with the best friendly staff and the good customer service. I have been dealing with habitat since they were on Witt Street off of Knollwood street. Great place to shop!
I called up habitat for humanity a couple of weeks back to donate a mattress and a bed frame that goes with it. I scheduled an appointment, and one day before pick up I got a confirmation call as to what time they will be coming the next day. We were told beforehand that due to the covid situation that no one will come into our home, and to put everything outside our front door. We dissembled the bad frame like they asked, and just shortly before their scheduled arrival put the mattress outside, because they called and said they would be there in 20 minutes. No one came. I left a couple of messages, and got a call a few hours later and was told they won’t come today but the next day. I asked what time, I was told afternoon. No one came the next day either. We certainly didn’t appreciate being given the run around, waiting when no one showed up, only to drag everything back inside. Thanks for nothing. If you aren’t going to come, fine, but don’t tell people you’re going to show up in 20 minutes or the next day. We do have lives you know.
Love The ReStore! I have been very impressed with the work done by Habitat for Humanity over the years and am pleased there is a concrete way to support their work through the ReStore. Great place to find all sorts of things for our home, from furniture to dishes, light fixtures to plumbing parts, doors, books, chairs, tile and so much more! You have to go every so often to see whats currently in stock as they are constantly getting in new donations. If you have an abundance of furniture or building materials/supplies, please consider donating them to The ReStore!
Although it is laid out nice and is clean the prices are OUTRAGEOUS! The glassware can be purchased at the Dollar Tree and even glassware is HIGH! Nice to stop and look but if I am going to pay NEW furniture prices then I am going to go and by NEW furniture! Not something that was donated and used. Example a couch that was clearly used they were asking $175.
Huge selection, nicely displayed. Two issues there is no public restroom, really not a good decision by management.👎 And prices are a little high.
Great place, the prices were not over whelming like other restores have become and I actually shopped and bought for the first time in over a year! Thank you Winston!
During a recent visit I overheard the on-duty manager give another customer 50 percent off their purchase. It was clear they were friends. She didnt realize I overheard their negotiation. She refused to give me the same discount. Very unfortunate. All items in the store are extremely overpriced, as Ive noticed for years. I recommend others take their business and donations to other re-stores in the area where all customers are treated equally, especially as it relates to discounts. Also very unfortunate, considering Id just donated hundreds worth of items. Just my opinion.
Great place for all of your stuff and to buy gently used stuff!!
Always been a big supporter of habitats. Nother great location for finding things your home may need.
The prices are outrageous to be second hand. Wont be going back, I can find second hand alot cheaper somewhere else.
Great store with good prices and helps others in the community! Everyone was nice and helpful.
Found what I needed for my Mother. Will shop there again.
Great selection of almost anything your looking for.
Love this place!! The get some very nice stuff .You never know what you might find.
A great place to find all sorts of really cool bargains and you are helping build homes for habitat for humanity!
Very nice and clean place. Very nice staff!
Great place to shop for second hand furniture! Walked out with a few items for a really good price. And they give great recommendations on someone to help you move. If you need to fill a room but dont want the expense or have to lease go here plus its for a wonderful cause!
This has everything from furniture to doors its nice to browse in they have some good bargains just look for them
This is one of my favorites! Great stuff for great prices! Check it out and you want be disiponted!!!
I came to this store last friday looking for a wide oak wood table drinking classes and some other cookware. First and foremost the prices for glassware is the same as buying new from any other store. Prices are too high. Second i came back to this store to see if i could return the table i purchased because i was not in love with the table and ended finding the type of table i wanted a wide high wood table set. The older lady cashiers were very snooty and rude in telling me i couldnt return the table and that all sales were final. Ok no big deal didnt make a fuss just wanted to see if a return was possible. A simple no wouldve sufficed but one of the cashiers explained in a way as if i was slow lol. Youd think they were working at some boutique but you are a old cashier working for Habitat. I made no big deal about it and said i would donate the table for i have no need for it. My fault not theirs.
Prices are to high. They are pricing there merchandise donated free from the public way to high. Could buy the exact same thing in a department store for just a few more dollars!
Couldnt see anything because I had to go to the bathroom and theirs was closed. Had to leave.
Great place to support your local community and the people who need it most while finding vintage treasures. Staff was incredibly friendly and supportive. Recommend for young and old starting over or just starting furnishings home.
Interesting stuff but alot of its over priced and the employees are not helpful or polite to anyone but the people they know.
The furniture is really nice, good quality. Kind of disappointed that I couldnt get a little bit of a discount on a set of stools that had two already reupholstered and the third still needed to be done. I still had to pay asking price and will still have do reupholstry of last stool my self.
Have always enjoyed shopping here but their prices have gone sky high in the past few months. Not sure whose decision that was but other used items stores are quite a bit lower.
Being in Habitat stores in Charlotte, I was very disappointed. Reminded me more of Goodwill.
My issue was with one staff person, I believe get name was Penny. There were boxes of donated cabinets and I was interested in purchasing some. There were no pictures on boxes or signs regarding cabinets so I went to the counter for help. I was given drawings of the completed cabinets. My mother and I were discussing the cabinets and Penny explained that there were no base cabinets left but could buy vanity base cabinets, pull them forward and the space in back would be covered by the countertop. We walk around and think about it, and I decide to buy. Another young lady was at the counter, and Penny walks up and says You Girls find everything- I instantly stopped listening since my mother is over 70 and Im almost 50. Penny may need some sensitivity training, but were in the South so Im guessing its acceptable. And yes I heard other interactions where she did not call any of them Girls.I purchased the vanity bases and continued to look around. While going to put Sold stickers, an older couple started asking me questions about cabinets. Though I didnt work there I explained to the couple what boxes held what, and that there were no base cabinets...but there were. A stack of them.I go to the front and ask Penny about the bases and she said yes theyre blind bases meaning that theyre missing the side. For what I needed that would have worked. Penny walks away from me, and the lady behind the counter is looking confused. So I got stuck with counters that I didnt need to buy since theres no refund😢.
Went in with my kids. We made a purchase and on my way out realized I quickly needed the restroom. I walked back inside to be told he restrooms were locked from the public even though this store was open for shopping and many other WS establishments were open and restrooms available. In this case I normally wouldve walked to Cvs but this was a female type emergency and it wasnt possible! I am ok with shopping here but thanks for the inconvenience. Customers should know you cant use the restrooms here. Habitat should reconsider opening your restrooms to paying customers. Good Day
You will not always find what you are looking for but keep visiting as inventory is always changing
Great pieces of furniture and good prices! They even carry rolls of fabric which I love.
Habitat for Humanity is definitely a great place for used furniture. This location has a wide variety of furniture available, and the staff is super friendly. I wasn’t able to find exactly what I wanted, but for tables and chairs there is plenty to pick from. Of course their selection is always changing so it’s a good place to stop by frequently.
These folk serve the community and the service is great!
I always find good deals
Great place for a bunch of finds at good prices. Always worth a trip if you are at all close by.
Great thrift store (no clothes) for furniture and household supplies. Some things are pretty good, but you have to pick over some things to get the good buys. Excess building supplies available to help with remodeling a room. Dont get discouraged quickly because it can be worth your time.
Im obsessed with this place. This location isnt as organized as the one in lewisville; however it has at least twice the merchandise. My only complaint was that when there are alot of people in there it is very hard to navigate the aisles without bumping into things and things falling off shelves. This also goes for when you are trying to look at something on some shelves; when you touch it 3 other things fall. Its totally understandable though, and the staff was amazing in every way.
Staff is very helpful. Store is a treasure hunt; sometimes you find what you need - other times you dont. When you do, prices are reasonable and merchandise is in good condition.
Prices are too high.
Prices are way to high for DONATED items! Most are almost full blown retail. I used to purchase often for projects but no more. Greed has lost another of your customers.
I LOVE the ReStore. I love furniture, especially antique or just unique furniture, so even if I am just stopping by for paint like today (score!) I always meander through the furniture section. I have seen some wonderful pieces -- not ones I need to own -- just really unique, memorable one. Today, for example, there was a queen headboard that was curved laminate. The curved part lifted up to reveal all the space that is usually wasted under a headboard made accessible for storage. It brilliant -- both beautiful and practical!
Good place to buy used but still too pricey on some items.
Good place to shop for your home Goods &More!
I have purchased some of my favorite furniture from Habitat. My best find was an oval desk, from the turn of the century (I was told by a local antique purchaser.) with leather inlays and gold stitching $80.00. I go there anytime Im nearby to look for treasures.
Too many new items instead of older used items now. Priced too high
Found some beautiful brand new cabinets for pennies on the dollar.Cant wait to revisit.
I get my cats spayed and neutered there all the time. I have rescued cats from people who leave their pets behind and I end up keeping them. I pay for everything...food and litter, which costs a lot,but I need help with neutering them so they don’t reproduce and thru Loving Pet who help fund neutering and Habitat for Humanity totally has helped me. There is no words that could explain how truly grateful I am for all their assistance and kindness. Many blessings to all that have helped me. Thank you all so much.
I love, and Im in love this place. I have never had an unpleasant experience with either a staff member or a volunteer. I love and understand and appreciate their mission and will support their causes when ever I can. I am constantly referring my friends to them and encouraging them to go and check them our. Tanisha, Vince and Xavier are the best and always willing to help. Keep up the great work folks.
There is no better place to go for a wonderful selection of items. I found the perfect size cabinet that I had searched for. Staff was friendly, willing to answer any questions.
Very neat and organized. Lots of choices with a gentle used look on some pieces others a little more worn. I realize this is money raised for habitat however alot of people shop there for bargains as they also cant afford to go pay huge prices on things for their habitat but many of the items were way over priced for someone on a budget.. Now if u need a washer or dryer they were priced great.. But do check it out u may find that perfect something.
A lot of stuff for your house in the service people help you
Very, very expensive !!! They have used furniture for brand new prices !!! Dont shop there !!!!
Restore is a great place to purchase home improvement products at a reasonable price. There are new and used products available. Their opening up new stores everywhere. When Im out of town I Google to shop other stores. Who doesnt like a good buy. They offer a lot when youre on a budget. Good luck shoppers
Habitat for Humanity is a great organization they redid my kitchen 2 years ago Mike Spain is a great guy he does wonderful work with all his volunteers love to organization I often volunteer my services as well thank God for Habitat for Humanity and Mike Spain
They have got to be kidding. Extremely overpriced to be a used, for the people, help the people store.
Love, love this store alway alot of fun. Treasure Hunt for the whole family. You will find something you love. Different items coming in every day. Love it.
Wonderful idea for charity, friendly staff, clean and you can sometimes find some good deals. But honestly, most of their prices are absolutely ridiculous. Just as high as a retail store selling new stuff, but this is used and was DONATED!! I understand they are trying to make money for charity, but lower prices would draw more business. There was a store just like this where I used to live and I bought there weekly, sometimes bi-weekly, here I might go every couple of months.
I purchased a small, and very nice wooden table. The cashier was so friendly and he was so courteous. I enjoyed shopping there, and others should go in to browse and to purchase items!! I will shop again soon!!
Love it. Bought book $2 per bag and video storage cabinet for 15. People who work there are always helpful.Back last Monday. Bought a new Laura Ashley electric double reclining sofa for 100. Estatic!
Mask police will attack you upon entry.
This was a great experience.
I love this place! I have found the most perfect solid wood bookcases and found a like new wheel borrow and an actually new ladder I have needed for years, but just couldnt afford from a home improvement store. Last time I was in I got and amazing deal on 4 cake plates/platters I didnt need, but couldnt pass up! :) I shop here almost every week! Love the Restore in Winston Salem!!
Pricing very highI bought 150 boxes of flooring in King at restore for 22dollars and same flooring here 43 dollars
The best. Great shopping. Better prices. Friendly volunteers and employees.
I have gone to this store (608 Coliseum, Winston Salem) many times and always purchase furniture or other items. However, this particular store has a man as cashier and this man is RUDE AND UNFRIENDLY. All merchandise here is donated, therefore he should be happy that hes got a job.
You would think since it was donated for free the items would not be so expensive.
Good clean stuff for starting over
Really high prices. Not much incentive to buy when for a few bucks more you can get new. Also much better deals on CL. No one greeted me or ever asked if I needed help. Rather disappointed as I moved here to rehab a house and was hoping to do business here instead of the big box stores or online. The store does seem well organized, Ill give them that. One and done with this store.
Great place to find treasures. They have a very friendly and helpful staff. Check them out for your home improvement, furniture, bedding, and leisure (bicycles) needs.
Big selection
Its 50/50 when you go in. Most of the employees act like they are community service workers that would rather be anywhere else but there. Its difficult to break up the employee conversations to get service and the machine that takes cards breaks down too often, so its cash only. If you are lucky enough to find something you like, its for a decent price, get some service and can actually pay, its not bad. Id rather go to Goodwill across the street though, its better all the way around.
Very cool place, does amazing for the community, like the idea of it. Really not bad prices and most things are in decent shape. New things EVERY day. Staff was friendly and helpful. One rude lady in the pick up area, doesnt seem to like her job and takes that out on ppl who are picking up things from the store. A guy named Mike was very hardworking, helpful and pleasent. Need more Mikes. Its at least worth a trip to see if they have what you need.
I found a piece of art worth $$$
Overall a clean store and bathrooms. Has a lot of furniture with reasonable prices depending on what you look at. Interior doors are cheap that is if you can find the right size. Staff is friendly overall and does walk around often to help whoever. Plus it helps this organization build homes for people.
The Habitat for Humanity Restore used to be the place where a landlord and contractor like myself could go to find great replacements for vintage items that no one else carried. They had a huge selection of building materials. Now... this new building is a joke. No selection. You can walk through the building materials in less than a minute. I drove 30 minutes from Lexington to find in 30 seconds that I should have just stayed home...
We got a fantastic deal on a very well made table with 8 chairs. Sold maple construction, a few stains on the seats, but hey its the ReStore! The staff was very helpful, thank you to the young men who helped me load this very heavy furniture. I expect decades of use out of this table.
Lots of good stuff for sale.
What could be better than buying home and building supplies at low prices while helping one of the worlds best nonprofits help others find homes? I got to tour some of the local projects that Habitat has recently completed in Winston Salem and was blown away. They build quality houses, transform neighborhoods, teach homeowner skills and literally change lives. This store is a way that you can play a role in helping their mission. And...the Restores new location on Coliseum Drive makes a great store even better!
They have alot of great things here and alot of different choices. Was looking for a couch. Found several I liked.
Good price. Hollow door and round claw foot tabke$10. Found WHAT I was in need of. They gotta work on some pricing. For some things used to be less expensive for donated items for folks on a budget.TODAY was exception.
Great place to buy fabric.
Good deals
Great deals
We bought a hot tub from this location and it was a wonderful experience. Not only did we get a great deal on a hot tub that we otherwise would have never afforded, but Vince was very helpful when we got home and discovered that a part of the electric connection was missing. He worked to help us acquire the missing piece, saving us what could have been hundreds of dollars for to buy new.
Love them
It was ok. The people at the kernersville location were a lot more help and actually had a personality.
When entering the store a very nice fragrance meets you. A store with everything something for everyone. We left out with the perfect table and the price was very reasonable. I would visit there again.
I go in there about once every two weeks. I have been to other Habitat for Humanity Rehab stores in the area also. This store is always the highest priced even for the exact same items at other stores. There are some brand new things in here that are higher than even Lowes. Im not sure whos pricing but they need to do a better job.
They seem to think some of the stuff is brand new when it is clearly not. The one in Lewisville is much much better.
Great place to shop price are high
Great place.. right next to blood bank. Great prices friendly people and a decent selection
Wish i could give less than 1 star. The employees that work here make it not worth it to ever shop here. You may find some decent deals on old junk, but the unbearably rude employees will quickly make you realize you made a mistake coming here. The people that load the items in your car are the absolute worst! They do not care in the slightest about helping their customers or even trying to get your newly purchased items safely in the car. You essentially have to beg them to do their job and retrieve your items. And if it takes more than 30 seconds and any effort on their part, expect some attitude and an incredible amount of disrespect! Not sure how a person like that even has a job where you deal with people. I am incredibly disappointed and disgusted.
Very hit or miss. Dont count on getting help from any volunteers; Ive gotten hit on or ignored so you never know.... Ive found great finds such as pool chemicals, high quality paints and varnishes, vintage books, area rugs and storage shelves. My best score was a new Cusinart toaster oven for $30 that was $99 on amazon at the time! I always check the prices online before buying and most of the time its a deal and its always a great charitable donation. Some of the items they clean up or paint fresh and it can be overpriced for used items.
Awesome buys great place to get deals prices are reasonable. Customer Service is awesome.
