Paul is an easy person to communicate with - very professional and knowledgeable about the cars he cares for. Gets you in and out! Prices are reasonable. I enjoy working with Paul and bringing my 2011 Lexus to him for regular engine maintenance and the occasional issue! He was recommended by someone who used to work with him in the car business - so we thought he was going to be one of the best and he has proven that over and over again!

Wonderful people, trustworthy experts in their field. I drive about an hour just to use them, so that about says it all.

My AC was not blowing cold. I called to ask what they would charge to just look at it and see what it could possibly be, he told me that they would have to do a detailed Diagnostics and it would be roughly $85. I said that was fine. and that I also needed an oil change and my sensor reset. So when I went back the next day I dropped my car off and he told me he would call me and let me know what the issue would be and how much it would be. When I got the call he said he went ahead and replaced the relay and the compressor had started working. And he noticed a few minor things that needed tweaking that he did FREE OF CHARGE! My total came out to be right at $200. And my AC is blowing very cool I was so happy. On a side note... my brother-in-law is a pretty good mechanic and I will forever continue to do business Mize Auto Service.

My husband and I had our vehicle checked by another auto shop to see if we could get a quick diagnosis of a sound we were hearing from my Scion (we were in a hurry).Unfortunately, they stated that they did not know what it was and they did not think it was a big deal-- given the noise wasnt as present/loud as it had been. My husband and I decided we would take the Scion to Mize Auto on Tuesday (knowing the great and thorough work Paul always provides-- surely he would know what was wrong).Little did we know, my Scion would completely break down in the middle of nowhere. Paul replaced some solenoids on my wifes highlander. Parts house quoted him a wrong (high) price, when he got the parts the cost was much lower. The guys are truly the best mechanics in barrow county. I bought a car less than a month ago and within a week I took it Master Tech Automotive and $427 and 2 days later they claimed to fix the problem but the very next day the same. Thank goodness for an honest repair shop! My car was driving unevenly, especially in the rain, so I took it to Kauffman tire, where they said all of my tires were bald and would need to be replaced. They also said the reason they were balding was because of a necessary repair that was going to cost $1,500. Along with the tires, they quoted me $2,300. I talked them down for the tires because I needed them, but immediately took my car to Mize Auto to reassess and get a 2nd opinion. As it turns out, Paul let me know that my car needed no such repair, and it actually lasted another 8 years without it (and it was a very old car with a lot of mileage)! The issue with my tires also never came up again. If Paul was after my money, he would have just agreed with the statement I had from Kauffman and done the repairs- it was that easy. But he didnt. I LOVE THIS SHOP! Ive never been able to trust anyone else with my car, and it feels great to be able to trust an auto repair shop!
