My friends and I were Interested in the Ford Mustang Mach E. Because we cant afford one, we just wanted to look around it. So, we headed to Akins Ford for a day-trip because, according to the website, they had one more in stock. We got there and the employees were eager to help, and friendly. They brought us around back to check out the car for a little bit. Then they asked us if we wanted to take it for a drive. It was unlike anything my friend had ever driven, and he loved it. They told us we were lucky to see it, and that it was the last one they were getting for a long time because they were selling so well. They answered all of our questions about it too. And even though it was an expensive SUV, and a rare one at that, they let us explore the Mustang without hesitation. Very grateful to have had such kind dealers. Highly recommend them, for all car purchases, gas or electric. They know what theyre selling, and thats awesome.

I wish I could give 10 Stars! If anyone keeps up with cars, they know what’s going on with the new Bronco. So many dealers are marking up once people’s orders are delivered at dealerships. I received my Bronco with ZERO mark up above MSRP. I had absolutely nothing in writing whatsoever but they did EXACTLY what they told me they would. Akins Ford has gone above and beyond any expectation of a dealership that I could have. I literally have to pass at least five other Ford dealerships to make the drive to Akins, but do so without any hesitation. The process of purchasing a vehicle is simple and easy. A fantastic price is offered to you (lower than the great Sams rate, the on-line buying service rate, or even USAA. The total time to drive home AFTER I picked my vehicle was less than 2 hours. Seamless. Not like most dealerships---I never felt pressured or pushed. No add ons in the finance office either. Ill buy every ford Jeep ram or Dodge from Akins, and Ill drive by 7 dealerships to get there.

Neal Wray and the folks at Akins Ford were absolutely wonderful! This was the first car my wife and I had bought together and certainly the most we had ever spent on one. But wow! Neal and everyone else who helped us worked hard and patiently to get us the best car for the absolute best price. Neal was friendly the entire time, being quick to show us the cars we wanted to see, and going above and beyond for us when we found the one we wanted. Neal was also very patient with us as we asked several questions any first time car buyer has and was also knowledgeable enough to address our concerns on the spot. Moreover, one of the sales managers, Ryan Griffiths, and others helped us out tremendously to smooth out the financial details of our cars warranty and the closing cost details.Concerning the dealership, Akins Ford was spectacular! Best dealer you will ever purchase from! (read full review for more info)I found Akins Ford online while searching for used Ford Transit vans, and came across Akins large selection and low prices. I ended up contacting them and got a call back later that afternoon from Kenny Fletcher.He was very helpful in figuring out if was the right van for us and also was happy to help us figure out how to purchase a car remotely because we live out of state(Washington). We ended sending the documents through overnight shipping and it all only took a couple of days. The process was very smooth went well.We originally planned to have the van shipped to us but changed our minds when we were quoted high prices. I ended up flying out to pick up the van in person and drive it back across the country. When a showed up at Akins Ford for the first time and and saw the van, I never would have guessed it was used. It was in perfect condition, both cosmetic and mechanical, and was sitting right out front ready for me to drive away.The actually getting the keys was also very fast and easy, just asked to talk to Kenny Fletcher out he came to show me the van and give me the keys.It has now been 4 weeks and I have driven the van 3700 miles since I picked it up and have had nothing go wrong. I can not stress how highly I recommend Akins Ford. I dont think I will ever work with a better dealer or salesman. I would give 6/5 if could. They are a very large dealer and have become that large because of the quality of service which they provide. Truck went in for a simple problem, auto-wipers not working.So they turned them on in the system but obviously didnt test. They still dont work.Ill have to suffer with the masses and turn on/off my own wipers.This is better than the last time when they LOST MY TRUCK....I dont think theyll be a third trip to this dealer....

Service department was Awesome! Sales department is the reason for the 2 star review. I tried to buy 2 cars and found myself at Athens both time. 1st attempt, I hit a brick wall and the deal went flat and Athens gave me a better deal. 2nd attempt was for my Wifes purchase and we arrived around 7pm, not knowing that Akins closed at 7pm. The salesman said that I am not working 14 hours for you. That comment really defined the Sales department for me. I thought a dealership of this magnitude would be open until 9pm, Especially in 2021... Thanks to Athens I was able to make a deal past 7pm even with the long hours I work. All it takes is one bad apple and 1986 business hours.

Probably one of the best dealership experiences I’ve had and I’ve been to so many I’ve lost count. Their customer service is amazing. My sales guy was Brandon Wilcher and he did a great job. He was patient. He really cared about any questions that I had and showed me changes that the 2021 F150s had from the previous year. His manager was great too. Probably one of the best sales managers I’ve ever worked with. The finance guy I worked with was great too. There was absolutely no pressure by anyone at all. From the time we made the first phone call to Akins to the time we left their lot in our new Ford Explorer, we were met with the best customer service we have ever experienced with any dealership. There was never a need for the “back and forth” experienced at other dealerships. It was a very smooth transaction all the way through. Our salesman, Matthew McWhorter was extremely polite, professional and knowledgeable. Darius in finance, was equally good. Very pleasant and easy to deal with. They all very much acted as though they wanted and appreciated our business. They also have a little canteen with free drinks AND free ice cream (unfortunately we were there too early to want the ice cream.). Maybe next time! 😁 Driving the 2 hrs down there from Greenville was well worth the trip!

Lance in Service was great. He helped us with getting our truck serviced and repaired and with handling things with our warranty. He was very honest and hardworking with his staff. They did a great job keeping us informed as they kept us up to date with everything that was going on. The staff were very friendly and respectful. After many years of dealing with mechanics and service shops, they made our experience one of the greatest. We will definitely be back for any future servicing on our truck!
Took my 2013 F150 in for an oil pressure sensor and new fuse box (both items Ford knew were defective) and was told I had to wait for 1.5 weeks before they could even look at it. Akins fixed the fuse panel and replaced the oil pressure switch, then my Service advisor told me that the oil pressure sensor was not the problem, I needed a complete new engine for $8000.00 so I asked him if it was running, he replied yes, so I picked it up and it ran fine, took it to another Ford dealer and said my truck was good to go and I have already drove it 3500 miles not 1 issue. They almost screwed me out of $8000.00 So I called back and talked to the Service Manager and was told they fired my service advisor. I MEAN $8000.00 IS A LOT OF FREAKIN MONEY they tried to screw me out ofBUYER BEWARE

We found an Explorer that we wanted to test drive and I am SO glad that we came here! We were greeted immediately and taken right to the car we came to drive. We drove it and fell in love and decided to start the usually much dreaded part of buying a car (it wasn’t!). Jesse Cash was our salesman and he absolutely went above and beyond to make this a smooth experience and as hassle free as it could be. We will be repeat customers and I will recommend them to anyone looking to buy a car. Worth mentioning is Larry, who’s one of the sales managers and who I spoke to before making the drive to confirm they still had the car. He found out we were there and made a point to introduce himself and ended up checking on us a couple of times just to make sure we were taken care of. Again, this place is amazing and we will absolutely be back to deal again in the future.

My dad and I drove 2 hours to see a Raptor at Akins. The red carpet was rolled out for us when we got there. We quickly reached an agreeable price with our salesman Sam Byrd. In no time at all we were signing paperwork with the business manager Darius Jackson, who was an absolute pleasure to work with. Neal Sheppard of Wild Willies Custom, who built the truck, even came to give us a tour of the incredible work he did on the truck. We left feeling appreciated and we will definitely be back next time we are in the market. 10/10
The best value for an oil change in Winder. I rarely use dealerships for any service because theyre usually more expensive and I have a trusted mechanic. But on regular service including oil changes and tires, Ive been using Akins for over 15 years. All makes and models, they accommodate me when I call in. Theyve serviced my Chrysler minivan as well as 2 Chevys. Highly recommended.

I went to Akins because they are close to my house. I needed to get service done on a vehicle I recently purchased. So I pull into the lane and proceeded to wait patiently 10 min how do I know cause I timed it without one soul looking up asking me for help. Another gentleman pulls in an F150 he was white by the way. And he received immediately attention as soon as he pulled in. I really felt like a second class person. It took for me to stand up and voice that I hadn’t been help to receive any kind of attention. They really need to do better that was really bad customer service at its finest.
My family and I have spent hundreds of thousands of dollars with Akins Ford over the last 25 years. The last 2 service visits have not been good experiences. I bought a service plan with my 3500 Ram which was not cheep. I also bought this last set of tires from Akins. I specifically asked to have the tires rotated several times. It wasn’t done. I was told they do this unless you tell them not to. I ask 3 times and when they called and told me truck was ready did you rotate tires they said yes! I called and was told by Zack just bring it back. I’m 35 miles away or a 45 minute drives drive and can’t just bring it back! I’m loosing trust in the service department!
Purchased a new 2020 Ford F-250 Diesel December 2020. Paperwork regarding Ford Pass Points (75,000) for purchasing a new truck was not submitted to Ford to get points to my account. Took 3 months after talking to sales employees various times. Began to have transmission issues around June 2021 where I took my truck in for warranty work on August 12th. My truck is still at this dealer and it’s August 13th. Service Advisor Josh would nor answer phone nor call back after various voicemails being left. Took 3 days to get a loaner from dealership leaving me unable to work. Dealing with josh regarding my truck, he has been snippy and does not care about customer service. Called service manager and left voicemails with no return call back. No one reaches out for updates on my truck.I Do not recommend getting service at this dealership.
17 vehicles purchased from Akins over the years. Great sales staff and a huge selection. I just purchased a used 2015 Camaro SS as a play car (mid life crisis) and being used, it had a few minor paint problems. Akins was willing to reduce the price so I could get the paint fixed. Who else does that? Highly recommended.
This is a very nice dealership, very clean customer waiting area & shop! Free soda, fresh ground coffee and ice cream!! First, let me say that I never write reviews as I pretty much dont have outstanding experiences. That being said, Im writing this review because I had an outstanding experience with Bud at Wild Willies & also the technician, Caleb did an outstanding job installing accessories to my Jeep Rubicon. They are both extremely knowledgeable and particular about the service and products they sell. A quick background on myself, I spent my whole life in the auto industry as a technician and a business owner for over 25 years but now retired. I went to other so-called accessory & service outfits and walked away totally unimpressed. I can recommend Bud, Caleb & Wild Willies with 5 stars. Trust me, thats not easily earned by me. Dont hesitate to call on them for any of your upgrade and accessory needs.

Ive been coming to this location for 20 years for company and personal purchases/car service. This is one of if not the top Ford dealership in the south east for a reason. Everything is top notch. We called to inquire about work on our rear differential. We have a 2000 Ford Excursion with 257,000 miles on it. We were informed that our truck was too old and has too many miles on it for them to work on. They did say that to fix it they would have to do a 10 hour rebuild. Have you ever heard of anything so crazy?

Akins Ford is probably one of the best dealerships I’ve ever bought a vehicle from. It’s one of the dealerships that still believes that the customer should always come first and do whatever it takes to make the customer happy. When I had a problem with my Ford F150 the owner Brad Akins got involved and no matter what he made sure that I was taken care of and that I was happy in the end this is not something you can expect from any dealerships in this new era.The experience I had with my sales rep Ricky and with the finance department all the way through to the owner of the dealership is something that I think Ford should go visit Akin’s Ford and model the rest of the dealerships after how they take care of a customer.I would like to say thank you to the owner and the team at Akins for for making me feel like part of the Akin‘s family.

My friend suggested we talk to Ron Marsh at Aikens about buying a car. Mr Marsh was very helpful, listened to our requests, answered our questions, and got the car purchase handled promptly. He was very friendly and lighthearted, yet clearly knew exactly what needed to be done and the best way to get it done. The finance officer also remembered us from when we bought a used vehicle from them a couple years ago. He, too, was very efficient and clear. Akins does not want to service anything under Bumber to bumper warranty unless you bought it from them. Ford should take care of Ford buyers no matter what. They will tell you they have a appointment for you but its 3-4 months away!? We all know they are not that booked up! They are money hungry and it shows.
Absolutely horrible experience. I regret ever taking my vehicle there. My wifes brakes failed Friday night on her Edge. After doing some research, we found there is a recall for the brakes and has been for 6 months but they still dont have the parts to fix it. We had it towed Saturday morning and it arrived by noon and of course they have to replace it with the same faulty parts. This is all Fords fault but the rest is Akins fault. We were told on the call on Saturday that it would be in the shop on Monday. I called Monday afternoon to check on the progress of my vehicle and my Adviser, Tom, told me that they were way behind from last week and hed give me a call tomorrow. Thats today and I waited till late afternoon to call because Im sure I wasnt going to get a call from Tom who talks to you like he couldnt care less about your issues or concerns. He told me that they may get it in the shop tomorrow. My guess is that I get it back on Friday, with the same faulty parts of course. Even if I get it on Thursday, why world would they have it for 5 days for a brake line. Tom keeps telling me we dont even know whats wrong with it. Whats wrong with it is the brakes. Akins did not offer a loaner either. I can see not offering one if I bring it in for shocks or muffler or something but I brought it in because the brakes failed on a recall item. The is a shortfall on managements side. I should have taken it to Christian Brothers and had them bill Ford. Do not waste your time here. Ive never spent a penny here, never will.

Terrible. I dropped my car off for an oil change on a Friday and it wasn’t ready until Wednesday. I called multiple times to check on the status, and my service advisor never answered. I will never bring my car back to Akins. “Quick Lane” is a total misrepresentation. Nothing about them is “quick”.
Went in on saturday. On Saturday they open at 630am. Excellent service at a great price. They fixed my rear driver window free of charge. If you are getting a tire rotation with your oil change just fyi it will take a lil longer. When i just get my oil change i am in and out pretty quick. Free drinks/coffee and a discovery channel program made the time go by. Also theres a couple desktop computers for customers to use.
This dealership is absolutely beautiful with a plethora of cars to choose from. The employees are nice as can be and make sure you have everything you need. The waiting area has everything you need! WiFi, snacks, coffee, coke fountain, and ice cream!!!I specifically would like to recognize Brock Scheidl. He was AMAZING!!! So incredibly nice and funny. Made the process easy as could be even though I came in with no clue on what kind of car I wanted. I told him the features I was looking for and he brought up the Ford Escape. He let me test drive and showed me everything the car can do. Oh my goodness he couldn’t have been more spot on. The car exceeded my expectations and desires. He went out of his way to help me and I couldn’t be more thankful. He has the best attitude and makes sure you are 100% happy. I went to akins last week with a certain car in mind. My salesman David was absolutely fantastic. He was very patient with me and very helpful. Andy in finance was fantastic. I wasnt able to get the car i had in mind, but thanks to Andy he made a suggestion and it was the perfect suggestion. I got a 2020 ford fusion demo car. And I absolutely love it. David showed me how everything works on my fusion. He even hooked my phone up to the ford app and to my car. He is very knowledgeable about cars. Andy will go above and beyond to try and make sure your payments are where you want them to be. Called the day prior about a transmission flush. Scheduled a 8am drop off and was told it would be done. Transmission had slight shudder and they said it was ok and would be done that day. I get there, take a day off work, and they tell me they wont do it without a 95 dollar diagnoses. And the one guy apparently that does it wasnt even there today. thanks for nothing.Yall supposed to be a good dealer. I was gonna get a new Bronco from yall when they release. Screw yall.

They are so sorry! Don’t take your car if you want it fixed. They are lazy! It takes hours just for a oil change. Don’t take it for anything else it will take months for the smallest thing.
My service department representative was great however the wait time to get my oil change was ridiculous. I waited for an hour and a half.
Took my van which from from Akins there for an oil change. My appt was at 2 pm. It took almost 2.5 hours. At 3:10 I inquired and was told they are limited on the number of bays large enough for a van and they were all occupied when I arrived, so my van had to wait. I had an appt and they knew it was a large vehicle so there should have been an open bay at 2 pm for me. When I asked at 3:10 I dont think they had even started on my van because it was another hour and 10 minutes before it was done. A salesman told me on rainy days outdoor businesses bring their trucks in to be serviced, so I assume they put one or more of these trucks ahead of my van. If after an hour my vehicle wasnt done or started someone should have updated me. During the time I was there no one bothered to update me without me asking. After I made the appt I received 2 email reminders and 1 phone call to confirm because they dont want to waste their appt slot if I dont show up, but they didnt mind wasting my time.
Great customer service! Bo Sorrells made my car buying experience very easy. He was very knowledgeable and professional through the whole process. He made sure I knew everything about my mustang before I left the lot. If you are in search of a new car then ask for Bo and you will not be disappointed!

Great salesmen, great finance, great service. Top of the line facility & equipment. My experience with Akins started in 2017 when I bought my F-150 with the help of Frank Sergi - he was very knowledgeable, professional, courteous and personable.I had several procedures performed at the Service Dept - they were always performed timely, correctly and professionally.Most recently, as the result of an encounter with a deer, I dealt with the Body Shop. Thanks to everyone who went the extra mile to get the vehicle repaired, handle the myriad of issues that arise, helped with the car rental and spent extra time and effort to track down some head-scratching problems. Kristen Reed, the various ladies at the reception desk and the service folks were top notch.I have been buying vehicles for 55 years in several states and have never dealt with a quality dealership like Akins. They certainly are a 5 STAR operation.

Just purchased a new F-150 from Kenny Fletcher and I could not be happier with the service and attention to detail Kenny showed us. He worked with us and found the perfect truck that was exactly what I’d been wanting with even a few extra features that were a great surprise. Kenny was honest with us, never tried to hide anything from us like you hear some car salesman do. He even had the truck cleaned and pulled up front for us when we arrived. I know this truck will last a long long time but when the time comes for another one he will be my first phone call. If you are thinking about going to Akins to look for a vehicle used or new make sure you ask for Kenny when you walk in the door he will take care of you and find you the exact car or truck that you are wanting.

When I went there to buy a car drove over 30 miles to see the cars they had because people have told me before they where a good dealership that helped. Well that was not what happened they wouldn’t allow me to look in the cars they where all locked and didn’t want to get the key to allow me to sit in the car no one else drove up there while I was looking but the young guy said he needed to go and find some other customers that needed help if I was interested just look online at a price
