The amount of electric guitars, acoustic guitars, drum sets, microphones, and webcams is amazing. Just about any guitar you could think of its most likely there. You can try any guitar you want and they have so many amps you can use. They have used electric guitars as well for cheaper, and they have sister-brands of famous makers.

I ordered a speaker from guitar center through the internet which I received with a damaged grill so I called customer service in which they told me I could return it for a new replacement. I spoke to someone in the Wilmington location and they told me they had 4 replacement speakers in the store so I said great I I’ll be coming in to bring the speaker in. Once I arrived I spoke to the manager Ken and he told me that there was 3 speakers and they were damaged. I questioned Ken and asked how can there be 3 speakers that are damaged in the back and he didn’t say a word. They told me they will call the warehouse to get a new speaker. They didn’t want to sell me the ones in the back because I was returning it and not purchasing it. I received nothing but the run around in this location and will never order from guitar center again. They sell many refurbished products and make it look new. Shop somewhere else and stay away.

I went to get a guitar for my daughter... I spent several hours reviewing their MANY options. Connor was so kind as to play any guitar I asked him to... He strumed some blues and his music sold the guitar! Im sure shell be happy with her Yamaha A1M for many years to come!

Guitars literally line the walls here. They’ve got a pretty good selection of keyboards as well. The recording section is a bit sparse but not too bad. Lots of drums both acoustic and electric as well.

Visited the store a few months ago and brought my kids in with me for possible guitar lessons. One of the brunette female employees was openly cursing in front of my children. When I asked questions about lessons she was very ambiguous and not so helpful. Will not be going to this location again!

The workers a here are some of the rudest I have ever dealt with. I was talked down to today on the phone by someone who obviously didn’t want to deal with me because they didn’t think I was going to make them any money. When I asked to talk to a manager because the worker obviously didn’t know what they were talking about, they hung up on me. I remember when you had to know something to work at Guitar Center. Now I guess they get their applicants from the local Burger King. The manager I talked to wasn’t any better. They just brushed me off. I’ll happily give my money to Sweetwater after this treatment.

Wasnt here very long, as I knew what I wanted before I arrived. The people seemed helpful though and I really like the spaces they have dedicated for you to try instruments. The outside lights are pretty dead and with neighboring stores that have been closed down, the store doesnt look like its open. Then when you walk inside it does give you a creepy vibe and not very welcoming to women. I definitely would not go back to this store alone. Store could use some working lights a bit of a revamp.

I purchased a used piece of equipment that came without a power supply. When I called the store to ask where it was, I was told by an associate that I bought a used piece of equipment and to go buy my own. When I told him that it should have come with one, I was blown off and ignored. The manager wasn’t any help either and I ended up returning the gear.

Employee in the guitar section was very helpful. Getting back into playing after many years off. Store is a bit cramped, but great selection of guitars, amps, and accessories. Bought a used acoustic and am very happy.

Horrible service.I bought an acoustic electric guitar and when I realized one of the bridge pins were broken when I changed the strings. I tried to get a new set.Instead of offering me a replacement set, that are around $10 they spoke to me like I was a fool.If they give me $10 back for the broken parts I had to replace I will change my review.Otherwise horrible store. Lousy service.And half the display guitars are broken or scratched, which they will gladly sell you.

Very helpful staff! Despite COVID, they have precautions in place that still allow you to play and test out the instruments. Such a relief.

Had Scott in repairs do a setup on my Sterling AX40. Neck was bowed, action was high, and the frets were sharp. He did a great job and corrected everything. Playing like a new guitar! Will be bringing more guitars his way.

I love this place, pick up a guitar and try it out. Huge selection of both new and used gear. Love the acoustic room, especially the humidified room. No pushy sales people and a ton to look at.

I had a great experience at Guitar Center. Almost bought a guitar package on Amazon, put together by a music store. Decided to go talk to a pro instead. As a 55 yr old novice, I was a little embarrassed about my inexperience, in a big store full of guitar guys. Tom ((Lasko) made me feel welcome, and he had no problem going over some very introductory stuff and getting me set up with the right guitar for my skill level. I left there feeling good about my purchase. Glad I didnt buy some internet package deal, which more than likely would have been a mistake. I ended up with a much better instrument, and some real good advice to get me going. Thanks, Tom. Ill be back.

I was just returning something for a friend, but they were VERY busy midday on a Thursday. I guess theres a good reason for that. I could tell that the patrons were excited to be there. Staff was very friendly and helpful.

Seems to be one of the only Guitar Centers in Delaware. Was pretty busy and the staff seemed tired and ready to go home. It was later in the day, so I will give them that. We rented some speakers and the transaction was very smooth

You can try to play on each instrument. Polite consultants will make the right choice for you.

This place is always clean, and well stocked. The only small complaint I have is that sometimes not all displays are functioning.Guitar center is an EMPORIUM of music gear.I could spend many hours walking around playing with the different products they have on display, and leave feeling completely satisfied, having purchased nothing.

Awesome store great name brand instruments at great prices

Bought a set of drum mics. Out of 7 of these, only two of them worked. The description said the condition was “very good”Now I have to go through a bunch of return/exchanging to get what I should have gotten in the first place. Super annoying. Someone should be testing these to make sure they actually work before selling them.

During COVID19, Guitar Center has implemented more community safety (disinfecting, social distancing, etc.) policies than 99% of businesses in the area. Very impressed.

Its a nice store, however our customer service experience left little to be desired.

We went here to buy an electric guitar for my son. The store was large and clean. There was a big parking lot out front. The walls were covered were covered with guitars with a variety of prices. We were able to try many instruments without feeling rushed. When we decided we needed more help, we were helped by a very knowledgeable gentleman who had worked there for many years. He asked relevant questions and then helped us pick out an amp and guitar. He demod it for us and then let my son try it out. He never rushed us or pushed us to make a decision. Everything was pretty laid back. The store also has electric basses, acoustic guitars and basses, percussion instruments, straps, cases, and lots of other items. Im sure well be back.

Guitar center stores are gray. Not only do they offered the absolute most amount of equipment to look at, they offer the best prices as well. It is not uncommon to be able to walk into a guitar center and buy an item for the same exact discounted price you would see on the web elsewhere. The nice thing about it is you get to leave with your instrument that day and the instrument that youre looking at is exactly the one you purchase. These guys are extremely knowledgeable as well.

Sad to say, the place looks like its going out of business....not much of a guitar selection, not much of an amp selection and the store looks dirty and worn out.

Well stocked, with knowledgeable employees that will help you get what you need. I ordered 2 custom guitars and received them within a reasonable time frame. However, their staff seems a little overextended. My suggestion would be to call customers when their order comes in rather than have the customers call, that would reduce some of the phone traffic and hold times.

Tom at Guitar Center was awesome !! He helped me out for, must of been an hour and a half. He didnt try to convince me into buying the more expensive equipment or anything like that. I play left handed and there was only 1 left handed guitar on the wall in the whole store, a Fender Squire. As I was just about to get the Squire I said you guys dont have an Ibanez ? Cause last night I was looking at your website and it said you had 1 lefty Ibanez in the store, what ya do sell it ? Tom, who by the way if you go there and want great help, he goes by Tom Tom, said let me go look in the back and see. 3 minutes later he comes out with the Ibanez I was talking about.

Not the same as it was back in the day. Lazy staff that whines about having to help or answer any questions... A real disappointment, especially when you are making a significant purchase. Guitars arent cheap!

If youre a musician, or just like checking out instruments, this is the place. Employees are very knowledgeable and just like talking about what theyre selling. Its hard to find a place where the employees are genuinely happy and interested about being there but it definitely shows here.

I one day found a wallet in your store, and I mailed it to its owner. And all your people assume is that I kept it. Why ? Is it because Im black. Closed minded jerks !

The store has lots to choose from from what I could see with a little bit of music knowledge that I do have LOL. Although whenever I go in there theres always a long wait for check out or if you need assistance because I feel like they should have more employees working but its not their fault its corporates trying to save a buck I guess. Other than that its pretty cool because you can go in there and play the guitars or different instruments and they dont really complain unless youre super loud.

Everyone has a love hate for guitar center and corporations but as soon as I had an issue I was able to speak with store manager Ken Puma and he cleared everything up, really meant a lot to me as I was stressing the amount of money. Seriously restored my faith man! Thank you a million fold!

Dont try to sell your equipment here, they wont give you a very competitive price. Staff doesnt seem to know what they are doing half the time, was told I still had a warranty and then called the insurance company and they said it ended months ago.... very large selection of instruments and you can play even the most expensive ones so its fine if youre not planning on buying anything

Best guitar center in tri state area

Always a good thing. Guitar Center has great employees who are all happy in their work. We talked to Tom and Tommy today and both were very helpful and knowledgeable. Tommy was awesome!

Was not far from my home in PA so the drive was not bad. The service was good just a long process. Came in to return merchandise and make another purchase. It took an hour to do all this. Should not be such a lengthy process. And if the person whom it helping you can not complete the process from beginning to end then PLEASE get someone who can. This also made the return process sooooo long.Other than that service was good, plenty of people to assist you. Good place to go get your music equipment but a poor place when it comes to returning merchandise.

Needs more drum room employees, they carry a lot of stuff so chances are good theyll have what you need.

See Tom in their guitar section, hes been a guitar player for many years in several bands and has a good ear for great sounding guitars, amp and pedals. Hes also honest and unbiased about brands which I appreciate. Hell hook you up with the right type of guitar for your style of music.Tons of accessories from various manufacturers on location as well.
