Absolute pleasure to do buisness with this store. Cold called to order an item from six states away. Got a gentleman named Chase on the line who was super friendly and knowledgeable, quick and a delight to talk to. 20 minutes later my item was packed up and on a truck. It arrived perfectly packaged and safe. Im seriously impressed with this place and its employees.

I used to take guitar lessons from John. Really cool store. I was interested in a guitar and the guys at the counter let me take it back to use for my lesson.

Chase is extremely helpful, friendly, and knowledgeable. I highly recommend this store for any drum or guitar needs. It is any guitarist or drummers paradise. If they dont have it, they can get it in a timely manner. I was able to order some custom ludwig drums to complete my classic maple set through him with no issues. Now... back to jamming!

The purchased of my guitar was great. The action on the guitar was high and they told play for 30 days and they would fix anything else I would find. Took the guitar back in 30 days to have the action lower. After 1 week the guitar was ready. When I picked up the guitar looks like nothing was done and the action was still to high. Took the guitar elsewhere and paid $75 now the action is right on and the guitar is easy to play.

Bought a guitar from a big name place with great customer service. well. it was lacking, severely. Friends suggested to me to have the guys here take a look at it. I had Joel take a look and he fixed the issues with my guitar. He was super friendly, communicated throughout the process & did excellent work. I will definitely take my other guitars up there and let them work on them when needed.

The workers at Music Loft are very knowledgeable and patient. I asked questions ranging from guitar strings, wood types, and the pluses and minuses of different brands. Now I know more about how guitars are made and was able to make an educated purchase. Thanks so much!

Stopped in to buy a short extension for a guitar cord. Not welcomed. Never asked if I could be helped. Will not go here again.

I had the pleasure of speaking with a friendly worker at Music Loft. I felt very confident making my first guitar purchase.

Bought my first guitar here, an Epiphone acoustic/electric along with a blackstar acoustic amp. They have a good selection of quality guitars and the staff seemed friendly and knowledgeable. It’s a small shop, and can get a little crowded, but has a nice feel to it - not like a large retail chain. There seem to be many more guitars in the shop than you can find on their website. My son also bought his first guitar, an Epiphone Les Paul, and an amp from them and had a similarly positive experience.

Very very friendly staff! I purchased a PRS CU24 35th anniversary today, the employees were professional and eager to help. The store isnt the biggest but they do fit a big range of instruments and accessories for may generes at reasonable prices.

Only reason I am giving a 3 is I had good service from whom I think is the owner of the store.The next time I went in I asked a guy behind the counter about different string gauges and picks.His response was “ what ever kind you like “Well NO KIDDING CAPTAIN OBVIOUS!I was looking for a little more expert advise than what I received.Haven’t been back since.

Coming from big cities Ive experienced some of the best music stores in the U.S. but since moving to Wilmington, NC Ive been impressed with these guys at this small store. Although they might not have what you are looking for, they are informative and polite. Ive enjoyed every time Ive gone in there! What I really like is their prices are very competitive with whats online and in other stores. So before you buy something online, check with them first and support your local musicians.

After purchasing about 50 guitars online I thought I experienced the ultimate in customer service until I purchased a new Taylor from Music Loft in Wilmington NC.I made an offer on the guitar late at night on a Sunday (probably shouldn’t share that part), expecting to hear back Monday morning. Nope, almost 11:00 he messaged me back and we worked it out and today, in Florida, I already received the guitar in 3 days!If my wife ever, for the rest of my life, let’s me back on a guitar website, I’m going straight to these guys. Fantastic customer service.!

I frequent this place for odds and ends but never purchased an instrument from them until yesterday. I bought a used Martin guitar and first off I want to say how open and helpful all the associates were. I made an offer on this guitar which they accepted and went one step further and gave me the price I offered after tax which saved me about another fifty dollars. That’s how you get people to come back time and again. The Loft was my favorite music store in Wilmington before this great experience but this just reinforced that for me.

I have gone to Music Loft for decades now. I love this store. The staff always are helpful and friendly. They go out of their way to make sure you get what youre looking for.

The music loft is a store that I feel I made an unfair initial judgment on. Any poor first impressions aside, its apparent that the guys at TML care about the customers experience.I bought an electric guitar from them which I later ordered a setup for. The setup was done perfectly. Action is even across the fretboard and there is virtually no fret noise anywhere on the guitar. TML has earned my respect.

This is by far the best music shop Ive ever been into. They were super helpful and knew their stuff. I was blown away by how willing they were to take their time with me. I walked in with little to no knowledge about the guitars I was looking at and they didnt try to BS me on anything to get me to spend more. They were upfront and honest the entire time. I wish I could give them more than five stars.

I have bought several guitar pedals, amps, and guitar accessories at the Music Loft have so far have only had good experiences. Helpful staff that don’t bother you but do answer questions.In-store selection is smaller than Guitar Center, but I find the things I need more in stock at the Music Loft. I bet more thought goes into the gear stocked at Music Loft, with space being limited.

Chase, Eddie, Rob and crew are all very knowledgeable on professional gear sold and if they dont have something they will find it for you. I went in on a search for a double guitar stand as a Birthday gift for someone. I found one I liked, quickly. They did not have anymore in stock. They sold me the display model without a box or instructions at full price. I got it home and noticed there was a part missing and a nick in the plastic. Needless to say, I should have gotten a discount on a display model. Silly me for not questioning it. I will never do that again.

The best music store in Wilmington! Excellent staff who are knowledgeable and friendly. They make you feel like family. They have a huge selection of guitars, amps, pedals, drums, accessories, and everything in between. If you arent sure of what youre looking for, the staff will help you in the right direction.

I love this place. Chase and Mekenzie are tour tested professionals that are a wealth of knowledge and info. Do not let their youthful appearance fool you! They know their stuff. True Music loft is no Guitar Center, and thats fine. Their selection is huge for this market and blows away any other local shop. My personal experience with them has always been fantastic and I highly recommend this store.

Went into the store to get an idea of what new electric guitar and amp I planned on purchasing later this week, and decided to grab a few picks. I grabbed the 3 for $1 and was told (Very Rudely) that there was a minimum purchase of $5. The other clerk working then pointed out that they had free picks and to help myself. It was at that time the first clerk put his hand over the jar and very rudely told me Paying customers ONLY. Needless to say I will be bringing my business somewhere else from now on

Experience was great, selection was great. All the stuff was kind, considerate and knowledgeable and help me with restringing my 12-string guitar.

I went in today and picked up a couple guitars. Walked around for 20 mins and not one person greeted me or even spoke to me. I stood by the front counter for around 5 mins......and again not one person acknowledged me. Im looking to purchase a Hollow Body and a 12 String. Love there selection and prices are very reasonable.....but their Customer Service leaves allot to be desired. Pretty sure I wont be back. 😒. And thats a shame because I know I would of spent at least 2k there today. Was my first time in and looks like my last time as well.
