We bought a CPO Ram 1500 Big Horn edition from Wilmington Auto Center a little over a year ago. We have a 7 year/100,000 mile warranty, an extended warranty and a service contract. Since then we have put approximately 20k miles on it. On 4/26 it started making a grinding noise, so to not void the warranty, we called the dealership to get it in for service, but they were unable to get it in for over 3 weeks. 9 days later the wheel bearing went out causing the truck to jump up off of the road and slam down, busting a tire, the wheel and causing a lot of damage.The dealership tried to tell me then that I would be responsible for all towing costs and without a second vehicle until they got a chance to look at it, which would probably be a couple of weeks. This was 100% untrue, as all towing costs were covered with the warranty. I then had to show up at the lot and make a small scene just to get the loner vehicle that the warranty guarantees us.The other day they finally sent over the estimate on repairs, only to inform me that after I pay my $100 deductible on the warranty, they will cover the wheel bearing.... leaving me with an additional $2,900 worth of repairs that will not be covered.I have spent multiple hours on the phone with Chrysler Care, MOPAR, and the dealership. Basically what I discovered is that some of the repairs should be covered, but the dealership wouldn’t contact the warranty companies, which is what was supposed to be done instead of the customer doing it. This morning I was informed that the service area manager was above all of my warranties and there was no reason for them to be contacted.I have bought a CPO vehicle before and never had an issue. I’m seriously just shocked! I have done everything I was supposed to, yet I was told I was to blame because the vehicle was driven after the noise was heard?! I guess the next step is small claims court. Moral of the story, think twice before you buy from Wilmington Auto Sales
