I am so satisfied with the service I received at this specific location. I went in on a Monday & picked the truck we wanted out and told them Id be back for it but it would have to be early in the morning. I went in, they got me back before they technically opened and got me out the door in a new ride within 30-45 minutes. Karissa was so friendly and helpful and answered any questions I had. Absolutely terrible service.They pretty much didnt want to sell me a car and told me to sell my own car for $1200 even though the motor is dying in it.Any place that tells me something like that, makes me wonder what the cars they are selling are actually worth.Be aware!! Be careful!This was at the one on Carolina beach road. Not the wrong lot.

Great service again at Kenny Lovitts Auto! 10 years ago, I purchased an immaculate Chevy Impala. It had low miles, and drove beautifully. We never had any problems with it either. The customer service I received at the time was excellent, and the salesman was very genuine and very helpful. Last month, I found myself needing another vehicle, so went back. Ten years later, I still received the same excellent service I had received before. Of course it was a different salesman, but he was still very helpful and kind. They were actually closed when I pulled in and I wasnt aware. The salesman stayed to help me, and when I decided on a vehicle, the finance person came back up to the office to help get me squared away. They made sure I had everything I needed in order and that I was able to leave with the vehicle I wanted that very night. I got a great car that has low miles and is practically new, for a great price. Thank you Kenny Lovitts Auto for taking great care of me again!!

Do not buy from this place they sell water damaged cars. I bought a car from them had electrical problems sun roof and windows went down on its own. Would not lock come to find out this car was water damaged. I had to keep jumping this car everday just to start believe not worth my money had to junk the car. Please do your research on this place I know I am not the only 1 who had this problem with them. SHAME but TRUE. Wish I didnt have to give a star to post.

This place doesn’t even deserve 1 star. Purchased a vehicle from here and had nothing but issues. Should have known something was up when the check engine light was on from the start. They stated it was a “gas cap” issue. The day I called financing and told them to come get this “HEAP” was the best day EVER! DO yourself a favor and buy elsewhere . Engine shot, transmission shot, sensors shot.

I bought a car from here a month ago and last night my car shot into reverse while I was on a bridge in front of an 18 wheeler. I tried to put my car into park and it wouldn’t. I had to sit there in the middle of the lane with the emergency break on for two hours until a tow truck came to tow it to my house. When my dad came to look at it we found grip pliers connecting the transmission shifter bushing. I called them twice about the incident and both times they said the sale manager wasn’t available. DO NOT BUY FROM HERE! they WILL sell you a lemon. It is unsafe to drive a car like this, I had a near death experience last night and they don’t even care.

Went there to get a car amwss highly disappointed i test drove one Matt or whomever he was was so desperate to sell a POS car. Not to mention get him some mints chewing gum or something he had no right talking to people with his breath the way it is and looking customersup and down just disgusting. Im not going to get a car from here Ill go somewhere else.

If you know what to look for in a vehicle you will come out with a good decision. Take a mechanic with you to look at the vehicle. Test drive it for sure, drive it like you stole it when you test drive the vehicle. I’m absolutely happy with my purchase from these guys. Friendly sales people just need to work on pushiness. Going on two weeks and no issue. Car fax was honest and upfront about everything done on the vehicle.

**BUYER BEWARE** DO NOT BUY A VEHICLE FROM THESE PEOPLE!!I was in a wreck; I was hit from the front and the back. My car was totaled and I needed another vehicle quick. I explained my situation to the salesman when I went to look at the 2003 Jeep Liberty that I bought. He was very nice, but also very young and didnt seem very knowledgeable.When I went to pick it up, it smelled horrible inside, almost like baby vomit. They said they would detail it but all they did was rinse it off. I could not get rid of the odor, no matter what I used. Five days later, it ran hot. I called the car lot several times, trying to get in touch with the salesman. The receptionists either didnt give him the messages, or he just wouldnt call me back. I finally found his cell phone number and called him directly. I told him (and the receptionists) that I understood I bought the Jeep as is, but I didnt expect it to run hot after less than a week. He said he would talk to the owner and call me back; he never did. I called the office several more times, and the receptionist was very rude. She was snotty and proceeded to lecture me and sounded like she was reading from a script as she told me that I bought it as is with no warranty.My boyfriend is a mechanic so he was able to do all of the repairs. I had to rent a car for 4 days so that he could get all the work done. He replaced the cooling fan, thermostat, radiator, and water pump.Turns out the odor was sour water. The passenger floor board was soaking wet under the floor mat. He said the heater core also needs replaced, and he will have to take out the entire dash to do the work.I had a 2001 Mustang GT convertible, automatic, very low miles, brand new top, brand new tires, and I took very good care of that car. I miss that car so much, and driving this piece of junk every day just makes it worse.

The workers seen nice but the vehicles their selling are no good there is no mechanical person on site please go get the car check out by the dealership before purchasing. I think they just buy the cars somewhat fix them up enough just to sale them.

Dont go here if they are giving u a car for FREE. I brought a truck from here and 1 day my son was driving it and the brakes failed. When I had the truck check out which I should have done before I purchased it (but the sales rep was so convincing) the bottom of the truck was rusted completely out. The vehicle was unrepairable. Im Thankful that my son was not injured but I will not refer or recommend this dealer to anybody or any thing. 1 star is to high of a rating.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Sold us a vehicle that we have had 2 weeks and a couple days after we purchased it dash lights came on, then the motor started ticking and knocking! Today I took it to a mechanic and it needs a new motor!!! Along with a few other issues! We haven’t even made the first payment on it yet!! I have purchased several vehicles from Lovitts auto and they have always treated me with the upmost respect. The staff is very attentive and polite. Especially Pam in the office. She is very professional in her job. If something was wrong with the vehicle I purchased they always made it right.if you folks are so unhappy then why do you keep going back to this business. These are not new vehicles and are not presented to be. I will definitely purchase another one from Kenny and his staff.

I was told my 2001 ford focus only had an A.C. issue when I purchased it. The next day the car cut off after being cranked and my fiance and I took it to Advance to find out the alternator is bad. Also my radio has went out and I will have to get my wheel bairings replaced. When I called to inform them of this I was blown of and said I would get a call back from the gentleman who sold me the vehicle. A week later still no call, having more noticeable issues the more I drive it, I will update after my visit tomorrow.

Thank you all for your stories. I just got off the phone with Lovitts for the first time. The one thing I noted was how inattentive they were regarding the type of vehicle I am specifically looking for, or my inquiry as to whether they deal with these. :::: Since I had just googled there name, and yalls reviews came up, I read them, after the call, and am now quite informed. This is not what I want. I want to give money, and get a high functioning vehicle, that is actually the make and model I seek. These folks dont seem to fit the bill.

This is the worst place to buy a car. They make it out like there is nothing wrong with their cars and turns out EVERYTHING is wrong with them. I stopped paying them and they came and took it and it was a GREAT feeling getting rid of that peice of junk. The staff also lie alot. Told me i could pay up and it would be fine and then turns out that was a lie. They will do anything to sell their junk cars. Dont recommend this place at all

RUN! RUN! RUN! THESE PEOPLE ARE CROOKS!!!!Just purchased a 2004 4 wheel drive Ford F-150 from these guys for $13,998. It only had 83,000 miles. Well less than 1,000 miles and a month later I begin hearing a ticking noise. I carry it to the Ford dealership and am told that I need a NEW ENGINE. $8,700 in addition to the purchase price. I have been to the dealership 4 days in a row, only to be told that KENNY LOVITT will contact me if he wants to do anything to make it right. Well... I am still waiting on this call, which will probably never happen. After doing to math it comes out to roughly $1,000 per 100 miles in which the truck was actually driven. For those of you that know trucks here is what they did. Placed a new head with a transferred valve train and cam cap. For those of us that dont know trucks that well.. each cam cap is machined specifically for each head. They are not meant to be replaced or altered in any way. This is only a VERY TEMPORARY fix/ band-aide. Just long enough to get the service engine light off and have it pass inspection. The people who fix it know damn good and well the motor will blow, and do so quickly.Kenny Lovett is a coward, not even man enough to call someone back to at the very least to apologize.Funny thing is I am not going to let this go. They have essentially robbed my family of over $10k, we will be protesting, filing complaints with the better business bureau, and contacting our local news provider to get to the bottom of this issue.CONs... period. These are the type people that give used car salesman a horrible name!

Unfortunately people will often turn to the web to write a bad review when they are less likely to share a good experience. So, I thought that Id share my experience. My baby (my car) was totaled when a tree fell on it a couple months shy of paying off my loan. I was devastated because I was about to start nursing school and I really needed a car to get us around. Because I was recently self employed, my resources were limited. I found a car here that I really liked and knowing my situation, they held the car for me for a couple days while my insurance company tied up the loose ends- with no money down no less! I finished paying off this car 2 years later and drove it for another 2 1/2+ years until it was totaled in a rear end collison. Gotta love these Wilmington drivers...I bought it with under 60k on it, it still had its factory warranty (a nice surprise) and really loved the car. What modest repairs that it needed were covered by the GM warranty, luckily. It turned out to be one of the best, most reliable used cars that I have ever purchased- and I have owned over 2 dozen cars in my lifetime.I cannot give them 5 stars only because I was charged a huge deposit because they knew I had few places I could go and was getting a lump sum. It was higher than we originally agreed on but I was happy to have a car.I say if you have choose a Lovitts location please choose this one. The other Lovitts locations sell lots of salvaged vehicles and are owned by other family members. My car came from a local dealership so it wasnt junk.They were really there when I needed a car badly and I am happy with my purchase. No muss, fuss. Professional enough and friendly enough.Unfortunately when you buy a used car you do indeed buy as is. That is the case anywhere and its part of the way things work. If you want a good certified used car I highly recommend Carmax. Its where my prior car was purchased. But if you have bad credit, no credit or a limited work history- you are forced to look at a buy here pay here lot like Lovitts.Always, always have a used car looked over before purchase! Be a responsible buyer.Unfortunately a used car lot cannot predict what will go wrong anymore than you, the buyer, can. They dont really know the cars history or how it was treated beforehand. Your mechanic, however, can tell you what is in need of immediate repair. I brought my mechanic up to the lot.It saddens me that the Lovitts staff apparently didnt do right by some of the other buyers (reviewers) but I just wanted to share my experience. I guess I was lucky! It seems to be hit or miss from what I hear!

RUN......I bought a chevy 2008 suburban from Lovitt over the internet off Ebay it had been in an accident but was repair to factor standards according to Dale Lovitt when I got the vehicle the airbags did not work the doors we not assemble correctly and the paint was literally falling off I tried on many occasions to call and talk to Dale lovitt but he never spoke to me again. I spent 7000$ to fix the vehicle the rite way...It is my opinion that Dale Lovitt is a crook and a Fraud if you are smart you will just burn your money to stay warm rather than give any of it to this no good CROOK...he is a greasy scum ball to say the least
