What a great place we stumbled upon. We were visiting Wilmington and are big craft beer fans so we stopped by and it was one of the best experiences we had in town. The guy behind the bar (didn’t catch his name) was super friendly, filled our water bottles and our dogs bowl, knew his beer and really knew his wine. We ended up taking a bottle of wine home after drinking a beer. Will definitely make a point to go back next time I’m in town.

Top notch bottle shop! The staff and owners are some of the most friendly and down to Earth people. They are deeply knowledgeable about beer and wine and have great events. Possibly the only thing better than their service and beer is their DJ.

If youre local, it is probably okay. We didnt get a hi or eye contact from the bartender. Didnt see anything we had to have and didnt find anything local to sample. Kept walking and found a local brewery that wanted our money.Edit. Did a food tour the same night and this was on the tour. Owner came out and told us about the beer we were to sample and slipped back behind the bar and talked with the folks there. Guess he is an introvert? Wondered around the selection and came to the same conclusion that the prices were premium and I didnt have to have any of the beers presented as I was looking for more local beer.Had brunch with my brother in law the next day and this is one of his favorite bottle shops. He would give this a 5 star review as a local. Agreed that you need to wind up the owner to get him engaged. Has a selection from out of town he liked.

Wow, what a surprise of a wonderful place. Better than a bar. Quality selection of beers on tap. I sampled 2 beers, ordered a pint then asked Kyle which been should I have sampled. He gave me 2 additional samples and I walked out with three amazing beers after 2 pints to enjoy at home. Kyle is incredibly knowledgeable about beers and willing to have an amazing conversation. Stop by for an amazing experience and enjoy some amazing beers at the same time. I am a huge fan of this business as they desire flavors, most bars won’t touch. A MUST STOP...period!!! I will commit to frequently visit. Kyle you da man!!!

I dont like a lot of beer but my fiance loves craft beer. This place is great for us because the selection is big enough that I always find something I like too. I really like going for trivia on Thursday. Eddie is a funny host.

Im a Wilmington local I have lived here for 10 years I moved to Raleigh in the summer and decided to come back to Wilmington for New years to visit. while walking around downtown we decided to go into bombers which I had been to once before years ago. The place was empty except for one patron sitting at the bar sharpening his knife on his belt wrapped around his foot. The bartender did greet us and tell us that the tap list was weak there might have been maybe four beers on tap out of 13. He then continued to lean on the bar deep in conversation with that patron. He told us that we could however chill any dry storage beer in just a few minutes if we wanted to cool! however there wasnt much to choose from and come to find out we would have to place that beer in the whirlpool ourselves and monitor it by ourselves I got no more direction on what to do after that point.we left without purchasing anything.

Not a bad place. Personally, I wasnt a huge fan of the beer list, but they had plenty of local brews. I went for the comedy contest and it was alright. Its a couple blocks away from the heart of the action, so its quiet and relaxing. Give it a shot of youre around.

Probably some of the best bar staff in town. These guys know a lot about beer but without all the pretentiousness. One of the few bars in town where I dont have trouble with gross guys being gross. I also dont think Ive been here and had some guy go on about how right he is about everything. Female friendly, people friendly, dog friendly.

A healthy selection of craft beers with the largest selection of local brews Ive seen. You can pull individual cans/bottles from ANY pack in the house. Thats a huge plus. Very polite staff with a nice bar area. If youre looking for NC beers, this is the place in Wilmington!

The staff here is fantastic with recommendations and their Beer/Wine selection is so unique and wide ranging. You can really find something no matter what your tastes and theyll likely point you to something new. Also, I love Meeser Eddies Funtime Trivia on Thursdays. Its pretty laid back and Eddie is such an engaging and entertaining host

Great people with a fantastic choice of beers. There is a nice welcoming atmosphere with live music often played at night.These guys care and you can tell.They have an unusual alternative to growlers in that they will put their draft beer in a 32 oz can for you to take home.

We just left bombers for the first time in a couple years since being reowned. We went in there to drink some beers for my birthday and they were having a comedy show and we were having a quiet conversation two males and 2 females two separate conversations and the bartender told us we were being too loud so bye bombers
