I loved this shopping place.

It may seem silly to gush about a Target store, but I stopped in to grab a few forgotten items while on vacation and I was so impressed! Each associate I encountered was genuinely friendly. It didn’t feel forced. They helped me locate items or made suggestions if I couldn’t find something specific. The store was very neat and inviting. Overall, it was a great visit!

Your shelf prices for Hefty trash bags were very different that what was charged at the register. This eliminated most of the apparent Target Circle savings. The State of California fined Target significantly some years back for using such unethical business practices. I only hope that the State of Virginia has the courage to do the same.

Bought a set of knives here. When I got home the set was missing two steak knives, had used scissors from a different brand, and one of the other knives was dirty. This wouldn’t be a big deal but before I purchased the set I read a Target review of the set and the very same thing had happened to them. Obviously the customer care team doesn’t care enough to inspect the items being returned before being put back onto the shelves.Also, the bathrooms were gross. I told the greeter about the bathroom and he fake smiled, tilted his head, and said, “Oh ok. I’ll be sure to tell someone. Have a nice day. Bye by.” His condescending tone pushed me over the edge to write this review. I’ve been to many Targets and this one is overall the worst.

Target gives a great shopping experience with products that Im looking for and employees who are friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of the are they are working in!

This Target is a stand out among other Targets. It is neat and clean. The shelves were full and the store is well lit. There is easy and ample parking.

The person who helped me out with my purchase was extremely friendly and knowledgeable. Her name was Aiden, and she made this my best Target experience, BY FAR!!

This is my second trip that I experienced empty shelves, and at 8:27pm there was not a SINGLE register open. Only self check-out, there were 6 people in line with me, I had a full buggy of groceries, and had alcohol to purchase, which is all something I would not do in the self-check lane.

The app and the store do not have the same number of items. I needed 2 hammock ties and the app said they had 8. Once we got into target the app said 1. Then the price instore was $19.99 the app was $10.59. that is a big price difference.

On February 1, 2021, I visited the Target on Monticello Ave. in Williamsburg,VA. My reason was having an older Straight Talk phone transferred to a newly purchased Tracfone. LaStasha Johnson was the technician who assisted me. The process was not without problems, including: not finding the phone in their system, being hung-up on, being transferred back and forth between Tracfone and Straight Talk. At one point she had to get help from a Target manager, who had to return the phone and then charge it out again. Despite all this, she remained calm and service oriented, saying that is what I am here for. In all, I was there for almost 2 hours and finally accomplished the reason I went there.

In my opinion, Target is a very pricey store

The service I received today. I shop at Target whenever I am in this area. Valerie was extremely helpful and took the time to show me the features of the app which saved me money.

From drive up to drive away it was less then 4 minutes and the employee was extremely nice and pleasant. She had a smile on her face which now a days is not a common thing.

The store is always bright, clean, and fun--and the store personnel always pleasant and helpful.

You can tell Target take their cleanliness seriously during this time and always. The store is always clean and never too crowded with merchandise in the aisles. I love Target 10/10 would recommend!

Testing speaker display that they have out for TESTING! And 3 employees come to me and tell me that I don’t have any common courtesy for the other customers because they are too loud and I shouldn’t turn them up all the way ! Well how are you supposed to know which one to get then !

Great Store

Target Pick Up: Once I figured out the Target App and how to put in my Gift Cards that I had earned, the rest was absolutely wonderful and efficient. The young man who brought my entire order out to my car was so pleasant and thoughtful. I loved the experience. I will definitely begin using this method of shopping more regularly.

The associate performed my return without asking for the card I made the purchase on, although I was pulling my card out. She hurriedly finished the transaction with my refund on a merchandise card. I told her I didnt want it on a merchandise card, I wanted it back on the credit card I purchased with. She got very irritated and rude like it was my fault. So another lady came to help. At the end I said thank you but she didnt reply! Very rude.

Fast and easy!! Was a great convenience when I was caring for my granddaughter and it was freezing outside. Ordered everything from home and my son did the drive up on his way home. Wonderful service!!!

I used the drive by pick up, and it was safe and easy. Employee was wearing a mask, and the hand off was seamless.

Customer Service is great

Make no mistake, those five stars are for the team members, and the team members alone. They made my visit to this location absolutely wonderful, and Im grateful for their polite and friendly conduct. Of course, it being the holiday season and all, its understandable that things would be a bit hectic; thats fine, I dont fault anyone at all for that, as the team members were doing above and beyond what most in their situation would. Their hard work is one reason why I decided to write this review, and the other is something I happened to overhear between a manager and some team members. Now, I understand that the holiday season is extremely stressful for those who work in retail. However, that doesnt excuse the language that this manager was using when addressing their team members. They called them lazy, berated them for not keeping up with demand, and were otherwise unrealistic about what they expected out of their employees when said employees were doing the best they could, given the circumstances. In all honesty, this experience soured my shopping experience to the point that Im not likely to visit any Target in the near future.To those team members that are still working there, I have this to say; thank you for the hard work that you put into your job. You make the holiday season that much easier on everyone, even if some arent nearly as grateful as they should be.And to the managers that treat their employees in this manner, I ask that you take a moment to step back, and reevaluate your approach. Like it or not, these are people that youre speaking to, not machines, and they need to be treated to the same respect and courtesy that you yourself would want to be treated to.I apologize for how long this review is, but Id like to take a moment to wish everyone who happens to be reading this a happy holiday season. Remember, be excellent to each other, and always strive to be better. Heres to a new year; one thatll hopefully treat you all well!

It is a pleasure to shop where associates seem happy you are there. Most recently, three associates went out of their way to assist with two large items. We greatly appreciated the help! I am sorry that I have forgotten their names, distracted by the ever growing to do list.

Kellie was extremely helpful in assisting me during last minute Christmas shopping. Store was crazy busy. She took the time to personally show me where more Christmas shirts were for my kids. I didnt purchase anything that evening-but she was great.

I shop at Target stores because the chain has an excellent reputation and the quality of products offered is an exceptional value. This store recently underwent a renovation and during that process it has been extremely challenging to locate items Ive normally purchased here. I also regularly have issues with this store being sold out of items that Ive planned to purchase. Im not sure if thats a store management or Target corporate supply chain issue. Employees at this store are always very friendly and helpful!

Because of the great customer service in dealing with exchanges. Regina from store T1161 was so wonderful, helpful, and patient with my exchange and answered all my questions. Fantastic customer guest service specialist.Regina is a model example of someone who cares about her role in the store but also the company and its dedication to creating a pleasant and great shopping experience. I could quickly tell during my first couple of minutes of interacting with her that she was very well trained and experienced and also was very pleasant. I will recommend for any employee to use her as an example of how customer service specialists should be.

The entire transaction was so easy and my pickup order was ready in less than 18 minutes.. I was able to designate my son in law for pickup. He said there was absolutely no wait whatsoever and he was in and out in less than 5 minutes.

The target drive up team members are the most polite and efficient people. They have saved me from taking my kids out of car seats countless time. Thanks for the amazing service!

Friendly, helpful team members. I popped by Target, hoping to pick up an adorable baby gift that I had seen in the weekly ad. When I couldnt find the wee, cuddly bear on the shelf, I inquired at the customer service counter. Colin checked the inventory on his device, located the doll, dashed to the warehouse and back, and checked me out in a matter of minutes! Superior customer service, thank you Colin!

Jackie is amazing! We asked for an item she helped us look for it and we came to the conclusion that it was not in stores. After we were done and about to pay we found Jackie looking for us she was still in search for our item and found it! She then brought it to us and we were able to get everything that we wanted! Went to this Target today after checking three others for a media stand that my BF and I wanted. To our luck, and surprise, there was one left here. So happy! Most importantly though we were helped and given awesome service by an employee, Matthew, that was really exceptional. Won’t be shopping at this target anymore since your front end manager is rude and doesn’t know how coupons in targets own cartwheel app work.Also the clothing (women’s and especially baby) department have been messy the last two times I’ve been there.

The Target at Monticello Ave is one of the better stores because I find the atmosphere a bit less stressful and chaotic than other Target stores. The grocery and health departments are neat and well stocked. I use the in-store pharmacy on occasion. Don’t be in a rush. My experience has been frustrating when I was in a hurry for my prescription(s). However, it is fine if you can pickup your prescription(s) the next day. The pharmacy is the only reason I didn’t give 5-stars.

No matter what i go into target for i always come out with something. I can usually find everything i am looking for and since the isles are labeled if i look it up online first before visiting the store the website will tell me exactly where the item is in the store that i need.

Love that location very clean, it seems to me like that they are I guess short on staff that all the employees are pretty lazy. I went through with a prepaid order there were two people on self-checkout helping people neither one of them was helping anybody and yet they still sent me over to customer service instead of pulling their phone out and scan in my receipt and looking at my one item.

An excellent Target store with a decent sized grocery section. Clean store, helpful staff, well stocked, great everyday prices, something always on sale.Definitely my favorite destination for everyday household needs.

$15 gift card with purchase of $50 purchase of household essentials was very misleading. I had all of the items from the required categories pictured in the sale ad but apparently it was for only particular items/prices/sizes. No where on the coupon itself was this stated. So since I was not given the $15 gift card, did not have time to go back and re-shop, I ended up not purchasing several of the items. Very disappointed in the service at Target on Wednesday, Feb 27as I feel they should have honored my good faith purchases. I have been a very loyal customer for many years and will now be hesitant to return to Target.

Target always has a wide range of home good especially shelving which helps organize old homes that dont have them

Failure of gift cards purchased from Target. I spent many hours trying to get a eBay gift card I had purchased at Target to be activated, and was told by Target phone support I would have to go back to the store where I purchased it as they could see a problem with the card on their copy of the receipt. The store personnel were unable to get it activated from the poor eBay support (thats another story) and we were left with a useless $200 gift card until the store manager finally came and was able to override the sale cancellation and refund the money to my Target Red card. This all took over 6 hours. And, this isnt the first time Ive purchased gift cards (Disney) from Target that were problematic. It doesnt seem worth the trouble to purchase gift cards from Target.

Very modern looking Target. The clothing area actually looks like a department store. Makes you want to look at things, more eye appeal. I liked it.

Nice store but the employees usually dont seem to care very much. They like to talk amongst themselves and thats it. But the store is almost always clean and organized. And I love the prices and selection.

Shopping at Target, whether in the store or on-line it is always easy. If I cant find something in the store or just feel lazy I know I will be able to find what Im looking for on-line & with the free delivery & 2 day shipping you cant go wrong.

I went to the target is in monticelo and the cashier had three bottles of hand sanitizer I asked her if she could sell 1 and she said no that this was only for the employees because they needed My question is only they need or can they have more Stop For all the people I felt very discriminated because we are in a state of emergency in which we all need sanitizers.But they have 3 bottles in each box for them for each one. I hope they change their way of proceeding.

I was able to pull up, the young lady was already looking for me/my car, she hopped out and handed me my purchase, I signed and I was on my way. After wishing her a merry Xmas! I didn’t catch her name but she was delightful 👍🏼😉

As far as Targets go, this is not a great Target. The staff seem highly allergic to stocking- the shelves/racks are usually in total disarray, items are in the wrong spots or just gone completely, and many things are just not labeled at all. I end up spending way too much time trying to discern which item actually belongs to a price label, and then if I want to confirm by a price scanner, I am then challenged with finding one that works.Otherwise, at least this store is generally clean and the staff are helpful if you resort to seeking them out.

As a department store goes it is a decent place. Check out lines can get long. Wish they would stop offering me their red card and that cartwheel would have items I use

Theyre sizing selections for shoes were poor

I arrived at this Target location 10 minutes before closing (I only had a few item to get). First, I found an employee that led me to the location for each of the items. Then, the cashier let me do two separate transactions and when I forgot the Cartwheels, Kato (another cashier) took the time to correct that issue. Wonderful customer service!

Clean and bright store. Prices are competitive and they have a wide selection. Employees are very friendly and checkout is smooth.

Very convenient place to shop. The grocery section is limited but they have a variety of other items that a typical grocery store does not have. Its like going to a much better Walmart!

Very nice cashier she asked me for a penny to return a full dollar but I didnt have any change on me then the very nice costumer was standing in the line she give her the penny . it was very nice off her to do that I really appreciate it she makes me have hope and faith in people after when I lost it in most people I cant thank you enough

This store has way less variety than Target in Mechaniscville so I was disappointed. They were decent but I think the outlets have a better clothing selection. If you expect to get wooed by clothing here, consider the outlets instead.

I liked being able to order on line and pick in the store. The pickup was quick and easy.

I ordered an iPad online as a Black Friday deal and opted to pick it up in store. I was out of the state for the holidays and returned home to an email stating my iPad had been put back and my money was being refunded to me. The customer service representative at Monticello stated that I hadn’t actually paid for the iPad yet and there wasn’t anything they could do for me even though I had a receipt stating that I had paid for the item and was getting a refund for this item. When I asked if I could repurchase this ipad at the price I had originally purchased it at I was told no. I called the main Target customer service number where a representative was happy to let me repurchase the iPad for the same price I had originally paid. I am thankful for the online representative, but incredibly displeased that the employees at Target Monticello would not help me in the first place.

It was convenient to order and pay online. Then just go pick up the item from the service desk.

Pick at the store was great and convenient. I was able to walk right up present ID and leave the store with my item immediately.

Ive been going to this target for about 10 years now. The staff is amazing. And it is filled with plenty of selections to buy from.

We are living in challenging times, and some necessary items have been out of stock the past three times Ive visited Target.

All was well until I went to the checkout line. The Cashier, his name is Paul, was one of the rudest cashiers I have ever seen. I get that it was 10 oclock at night but he needs to work on his customer service skills. Didnt even look at us once, and had the nastiest attitude. If I see him there again, not going to his line.

Good variety with nice store brand products. Small but decent fresh produce area, frozen, beer and wine, and all the basics. Nicer stuff than Walmart. Friendly staff.

Gentleman with the blue hair asked me multiple times to open up a checking account/credit card with target when I was clearly not interested. He kept going on afterwards about how you get 5% back on a $20 purchase (clearly not worth it) as well as how you get 2 day shipping when I get 1 day shipping with amazon prime. It made me uncomfortable and was one of the worst experiences in a target store. Associates need to understand that no means no, I dont want to hear more about it. This target is usually an excellent experience, but not on this day. Would highly advice management to coach the gentlemen that once someone says no, to stop and not be annoying about it.

Horrible customer service from a clerk named Russell. I cant imagine shopping at Target again unless I am looking for high prices and bad service. Not a Wal Mart fan/shopper either, but I used to think they were worse then Target. No longer. Target you have succeeded in matching Wal Mart. Congratulations. This is why Amazon is so successful.

Very friendly employees and newly added Self Checkout which is great for getting in & out fast! Also, theyve been creating more displays like you would see in a department store, especially in the home section, which is a much better atmosphere for those items, rather than rows and rows of shelves.
