Staff are always friendly and knowledgeable but it sometimes is hard to find them, or the wait to speak with them is prohibitive. DJ, lighting, and pro audio sections could be better stocked. Cables are always good quality and in stock. It would also have saved me a time or two if the store was open an hour later - I never seem to have a cable emergency before 9pm.

I bought a bass while I was there this time. Ive bought amps, guitars, basses, all kinds of stuff here. The people are always super friendly and will help you find anything you need. Nick can fix just about anything in the store (except amps!) And hes super friendly as well.

Wish it was bigger. There are guitar centersthat have more selection but apparently this town is not quite musically focused... who would have guessed.

Everyone provides excellent customer service and answered all my questions. Celso got the guitar and case I ordered ready, tuned it and played it to make sure it was ready. They had me play it to make sure I was satisfied. While this was going on a technician was doing some work on my CBG I brought in & had it ready for me while I was there. GC is like a candy store for the guitar enthusiast. Im enjoying my new guitar... Thanks GC!

Staff needed to pay attention to one person at a time. Order was delivered to store instead of to our home. We live 2 hours from the store. Called to get it straight after receiving an email that it had been delivered to store. Manager was very helpful getting in forwarded to our home.

I really wish I knew the name of the staff member that helped me.I live 2 hours away, so I called to make sure they were open before leaving my home. When I got there they remembered that I called ahead and brought over their Bass guy to show me some bass guitars.Great conversation, great salesmen, we held the appropriate amount of social conversation, while staying on task.We respected eachothers time.The Bass guy is a great player, with good taste in bass guitars.

Nice as always. Selection of electric guitars is a lot smaller than it was the last time I was there, probably early 2019. But thats likely due to the online sales being prevalent during Covid.

Went in to buy a pickup I desperately needed for a gig this weekend. Was kicked out because they didn’t listen to why I couldn’t wear masks for medical reasons. I maintain social distancing, and just wanted to support a local business and get something I needed real quick. Oh well.Go to Music Scene in Andover, the service is above reproach, and they’re more knowledgeable and friendly. Excellent repair department too.

Good staff, very knowledgeable. I just got my ovation back and oh man it has a sweet sound. I highly recommend takin Your guitar In and havin James look at it. He will tell ya how to get that sweet sound.

Its the Walmart or if you prefer, Target of the anything music store . Personally, I loath the place as much as the humane society . Why ??? Because I cant just walk out empty handed without regret . I always want all the dogs,cats and guitars . Id give em a good home .

There’s a huge selection of musical equipment here. Staff is very friendly and helpful. I wish they had more display options for arranger keyboards. Their 0% financing is not done directly by them and synchrony bank is the worst place to do business with. Their credit checks will hit your credit hard! I’d recommend having money in hand if you wanna purchase anything.

This store is amazing! I cant thank Alex and Derron enough! After having an online order of three damaged items, I contacted their store because we had previously purchased items there. These two were so helpful and got replacements for the damaged merchandise even though I didnt purchase it from their store. I contacted them a few times by phone and each time they remembered me and my issue! Wow! So impressive in a world where we struggle with automated phone calls and customer service stationed in other countries! I wish I knew how to contact corporate because these two men run a business right! Friendly, knowledgeable, and on it!!!

Really good dudes work here. Theyre really friendly, knowledgeable, helpful, and genuine. The selection has shrunk since 2009 but... Lets face it: rock and roll just isnt as popular as it used to be. And even then its a very good selection of prices, styles, and brands across all of their departments.The stock they DO have is very good and worth your time. Stop by and at least browse, but make sure to take a mask. If for no other reason than common courtesy.

This is the best place to jam out in your free time and also find most excellent deals. The team members here are very helpful with you getting your gig on. Theyll also help you find whatever it is that you may need and just not know it. I think of them as a member of the band thats always there when you need them most.

Great place for instruments

They were awfully busy with this time of year of course, but we did get help for the items we were looking for. Customer service was good. They did not have 1 item we were looking for, but did recommend where to find it!

While helping a friend pick up some equipment for his band, I got to spend a little bit looking around this place. What surprised me was the amount of people working and customers there. It was very busy for middle of the week and day. A great sign of a well run business. As I walked through, the staff were friendly and helpful to all the customers I saw. I also found some items that I will be back to buy when I have more time to research what I need for my project down the road. To say this place inspired a creative itch in the short time I was there.. oh yeah... I got some ideas! Additionally my friend got what he needed and they helped us load it to the vehicle. All around great service and easy location to get to. Great experience. I hope they continue to thrive! Ill be doing my part to help.

Before I start i need to admit my fault for being trusting of what i was being told and sold from guitar center. I listened but didnt check for myself to see if what I was buying wasnt indeed cracked or busted itself.About 6 months ago i purchased a midgrade 12 string for my fathers birthday. As they had told me in store 12 string can notoriously pull on the neck. So first thing I detuned all strings to pull off all tension. And gave him his guitar. It literally sat the rest of its time in its case unturned no tension on strings in the basement at same temp same humidity entire time.Took in to sell it as he just never has time to play it. Annnnnd of course neck has nice big crack.......They told me the weather can do that.........Second time if had these guys screw me on an acoustic. Better off going to mom and pop music shop

Very friendly. Was looking for one bridge pin and expected to have to buy a pack of 6. Limited selection and what they had were expensive. The guy recognized that and was able to find a spare pin in the repair drawer and hooked me up right! Browsed around and bought items I didn’t go there looking for. Customer service like that goes a long way.

Called and asked about getting a guitar restrung since everyone is stuck at home anyway. Was given the price but told was not sure how busy the tech was, did I want to drop it off. I said I would prefer to bring it in and have it done while I wait. Also I quoted about getting some string locks for the same guitar. I asked if that could be done at the same time. I asked if tomorrow would be a better day for the tech, and was told no just go ahead and today would be better to bring it in but there may be a wait if the tech is busy. I said that would be fine.I drive in from Andover with the guitar, the gentleman at the desk tells me that it will be a three week wait to get it restrung. I said that is disappointing since I was told this morning to bring it in. I also find out the price quoted was incorrect for my type of guitar even though I asked specifically if it was right for my guitar and was told it was. The gentleman at the counter did not really apologize or try to figure out anything else to help at all. He did sell me the strings to do it myself as well as the string locks for when I am done. They could have up sold me on a setup or whatever if they could have made it work or possibly figured something out but it did not seem like that was the priority.Used to like the store but very frustrated to come all that way for absolutely nothing.

Ive been shopping at Guitar Center for quite a few years and have nothing but compliments for the staff. Friendly, helpful, knowledgeable no matter who youre dealing with. Great selection also. The one time they were out of an EV loudspeaker we were purchasing, they were able to get it out of the KC store very quickly. If youre a music nut, theres no better place to spend an hour (or three)!

Didn’t have anyone offer us help when we were shopping. I understand it’s Covid, but some help is needed in the store. We eventually founded what we needed when the cashier was done assisting someone else.

The employees at this location were less than helpful or knowledgeable. After about an hour, I found a lone salesman back in the keyboard area that was extremely helpful in helping me pick out the first guitar for my 10 yr old daughter. In fact, other customers were far more helpful. I was very disappointed with this establishment. The employee I found in the keyboard area is the only thing keeping me from giving this one star.

Went strictly looking for a new guitar and they didnt have much of electric acoustic on display.. pretty disappointed

Covid-19.. Guitar Center had a line out front and a little tent for shade. I walked up to ask how they were operating, a few customers at a time?, appointments? I was told that they already had people waiting. Pretty rude. I can see the people standing in line 10ft to my right, I understand how waiting in line works. It was clear that this employee didnt want me there. No help, no answers, just a rude brush off. Who knows how long they had him standing in the 95°+ heat that day. I saw no water or anything out there for him, so he probably wasnt having a good day. His pay isnt great either so I dont really blame him for being so unhappy/unhelpful. I just left. It seems like Guitar Center as a company wasnt doing well before this pandemic, Id be surprised if they make it another year like this.

Love Guitar Center! We went there looking for a bass guitar and the staff was extremely helpful with accessories needed too. Loved all the different instruments to choose from and in so many colors too.

The employee that worked with me was very polite and he knew a lot about snare drums which is what I needed fixed. He saved me a little money by using a used part to fix it. He did a great job.

Guitar Center is a great music store. They literally have everything you need to get your band going. Their staff is all very knowledgeable, typically one expert is available for each department/instrument you are interested in. Whether its acoustic or electric guitar, bass guitar, drums, recording/production, or stage lighting and effects, they can help. They also offer lessons as well as rented studio time.

Came into guitar center because I had some shipping issues and all the staff was friendly about it and made sure my next order came in with no issues and took care of the return for me. Gave me a very good experience over all

Went shopping for a good wireless mic for my sound system found a really good one for 149.00 I also bought a two year warranty on it for 23.00. If I accidentally drop it or if it quits working for any reason, I take it in to the Guitar center, they replace it right then no questions asked just your receipt. Also found a good flattop guitar for beginners for 89.00. Ill get that on my next trip. The people who work there will bend over backwards to help you find what your looking for.

We purchased a digital piano for our daughters birthday. The service was excellent. They answered all of our questions. I would definitely buy from them again.
