I came in to get new drum heads and a new set of snares for my snare drum, these guys not only took it apart, put on the new heads and snares, but found broken lugs and replaced those too. Total professional class act.

I have bought one drum set, lots of cymbals new and used, hardware and lots of sticks and heads. I have sold drum sets on consignment at Midwest also. Ive considered Midwest to be the go-to for anything instrument related for at least 25 years. They have always hired great people and treat everyone that walks in the door like a friend, doesnt matter if youre a total beginner or a pro. If they dont have what I need theyve always bent over backwards to either help me find it, or tell me where in town I can get it (even if it means sending me to a competitor). Wichita is lucky to have this place.

Best store for percussion instruments I’ve been to and one of my favorite stores, period!They provide great repair services as well as retail services and spaces for lessons with private instructors.Staff will help with just about anything music related, including suggestions for where to get repairs or gear that they cannot provide in shop.They also quickly respond to inquiries made via social media sites.

Fairly priced, LOCALLY OWNED, music vendor. I’ve never had the pleasure of buying a big ticket item like a new acoustic or drum set from them, BUT, I have bought many small things from them, and they treat me the same as the customers in there all the time. Fantastic place to shop for musical needs.

Any time I have needed repairs or service Midwest Drum has always provided the utmost care for my instruments. Even after I moved away and came through on tour. They put my stuff first in line to be able to get me back on the road due to time restraints. At any time they couldnt provide support, they worked with every possible avenue to get my needs met. I visit Midwest Drum every year when I visit family in the area. The owner Matt is a great guy, and extremely helpful. Im jealous of Wichita for having such a great drum shop! I live in a much bigger market (Chicago) and there really isnt anything like it here. Keep up the good work!

This place is amazing! The staff is incredibly helpful and awesome to boot! Midwest Matt though takes the cake. He will bend over forwards to help you out. I say forwards because Im unsure how bendy he is. Overall a great place and great staff!

Matt and staff have always gone above and beyond to make sure I’m getting exactly what I want and have helped fine tune any small ideas I’ve had that weren’t thought out all the way. Few drum stores in the country have the same customer service skills, the majority of them fall far short of the Midwest Drum and Percussion standard.

Midwest is a great drum store, and an excellent guitar store! The owner keeps lots of great boutique guitar pedals in stock as well as a nice collection of amplifiers. Also, they have killer beginner-advanced guitars made by a company in Brazil that are amazing and around 200-300$ range. Check it out!

I have shopped at this store for decades. I try to support my local businesses. This store has everything you could need for percussion of any kind. I believe they also have a small guitar world. Matt has taken care of me for years, and is now the owner. Yes I would highly recommend.

Midwest Drum is the only place that I purchased from when I lived in Wichita. MDP has an extensive inventory of percussion instruments for the beginners and seasoned touring professionals. Matt and his staff are courteous, knowledgeable, and friendly (even to Detroit Lions fans). If you love drums and like Hawaiian shirts, theres no reason for you to shop anywhere else.

Midwest Drum & Percussion first and foremost cares about their customers. They care more about making sure I have the right equipment than making sure I have the most expensive equipment. The patience the staff at MD&P exhibited with my inexperience was refreshing, and guarantees that I will make the 1.5 hour trip to Wichita whenever I need drums or other musical instruments.

This is still my go to shop after 17 years! The clerk I bought my first new kit from 17 years ago is now the owner. Great line of unique used drums, full wall of brand new cymbals in every price range and all the staff is fantastic with a laid back atmosphere.

So I have had multiple wonderful experiences with MDP over the years. First off, about 16 years ago Matt sold me my first drumset when I was just nine years old. Though Matt did not own it at the time, I distinctly remember him being the person who helped me pick out the set. What sets Matt and his staff apart from the rest of the competition is how you can see they truly love what they do, and offer wonderful customer service. For example, when I bought the second set in 2015, a beautiful Crush Chameleon Ash 5 piece, they tuned the kit up right there and even helped me load it into my small mustang. MDP is a wonderful store, and theyll always be my home when it comes to drum equipment.

People have been telling me to go to this store for ages and finally went for the first time. The staff was amazing, very helpful, great with my two young kids (theyre taking drum lessons and all but lost their minds when we went in. More often than not employees dont respond well to overly excited kiddos) plus they hooked us up with some great deals. Super rad. We will be back very often, Im sure! Definitely beats the heck out of guitar center, thats certain.
