I loved how my wedding cakes turned out! There was a small communication issue that happened but we got it figured out pretty fast. The other issue I did have is that they didn’t show up on time to deliver the cake. They told me 5 but didn’t show up tell 6. The ceremony was at 5:30 and we finished around 6 so all of my guests saw the cake being delivered. My mom was not happy that they were late. But all in all everything was good.

When we went in to order the cake the lady drew exactly what we wanted written on top of the cake so there was no miscommunication. We received the cake with the name on the side, not on top like we wanted. When we opened the boxes we noticed that the cakes were not centered on the little paper platter so there fore they hung over on one side making the icing touch the inside of the box. Happened on both cakes we received from them. On the smaller cake we wanted a simple number one written on the center of it and we received a globbed on number that isn’t even centered…. Would not recommend going here at all. We are disappointed as this was our daughters first birthday cake.

Was looking for a beautifully simplistic cake. Conversed through email, then went in person to be able to see my options and luckily, was able to taste the difference in frostings too. After much deliberation, we finalized on this beautiful ombre rosette cake with whipped frosting. The lady who helped me was sweet, patient, and flexible, so I didn’t feel rushed or inconvenienced. Thank you for making my birthday memorable with this beautiful cake.

Artistic Cakes did a phenomenal job on our wedding cake! They took our vision and brought it to life. It was not only beautiful to look at, but tasted wonderful. I can’t recommend their services enough!!

I have purchased multiple cakes and they have amazing buttercream! I ordered one today for my mothers birthday and due to some miscommunication it was not what I expected and they went above and beyond! They exceeded my expectations and they were beyond kind while doing it. I can definitely tell they care about customer service and the work they do.

I found Artistic Cakes as a part of my effort to shop locally in August as a part of the #BuyICT Challenge. Some friends were having us over for dinner and we were charged with bringing dessert. Instead of dirtying up my kitchen, I decided to let a local, professional do the work for me. My son and I drove to the west side of town and arrived just before 9am when Artistic Cakes opened. When we came in, we were warmly greeted and asked what we were looking for. I explained why we were there and let my son look around to pick something out. Ultimately, we settled on a dozen cupcakes and a small cookie cake. They were both delicious and well received with our friends and their kids. There were several beautiful displays in the shop as well. Ill have to remember this place next time my kids have big ideas for their birthday cakes. Im sure Artistic Cakes will be able to create exactly what were looking for!

I will say that the cake itself was a very tastey, moist chocolate cake.I am giving this bakery a very low rating because of how the cake was decorated.I make a very tastey chocolate cake. I can also decorate a cake rather nicely.I came to Artistic cakes for their expertise in air brushing cakes.There is confusion on whether I ordered a one or two layer cake.I will own that mistake.We did everything by phone or e-mail so there could have been some miscommunication.I also said I only wanted to pay so much for a cake.However, when I finally decided on a cake I clearly said just make the cake as pictured.I also called back one more time to say add the flowers and that I did not care if there was an additional cost.When I called to complain all I got was blame being put on me and the young lady rattled away excuses so fast that I could hardly get in a word.Call me a VERY unhappy customer.(The first picture is the two layer cake I thought I ordered.Again I take ownership of the cake I got only being one layer.The second picture is the actual cake I got.)

I have purchased Christmas cookies from Artistic Cakes for years and have always enjoyed them. This year I purchased 3 dozen as gifts and after sampling a couple we noticed the cookies were not of the same quality from Christmases past. They tasted old and were hard, like they had been sittingin the case for awhile. I contacted Artistic Cakes and was informed the cookies were supposed to be hard. I expressed my concern, hoping for a possible exchange for a fresher batch, but hard and old is the new quality standard for Artistic Cakes. This saddens me. I overlooked the new piping decorations, odd color choices, and even the blobby green cookie that was the Grinch, but I cant overlook the poor quality.

When my grand daughter said she wanted a shrimp cake I knew who to call, I didnt know how awesome the cake would look when I picked it up though. Kenzie did an awesome job on this cake and everyone loved it. We order chocolate with whipped frosting and the shrimp is done in buttercream. We all highly recommend Artistic Cakes and we will always get our cakes here. Look forward to another beautiful cake designed by Kenzie @ the West location.

First time bride here looking to buy my first wedding cake. My mom stopped in asked how it was done and explained I work constantly. The owner lied to my mom and told her we could just come in for a tasting. They lied after my mom talked to the owner the owner told her we didnt need an appointment. The owner walked in the store and my mom told her hi. The girl at the front said the owner just said she told her to make an appointment.The girl who runs the front is arrogant and rude. My mom asked if we could just sit at the consultation table and try them. The girl said it was closed for construction. We were standing there looking at the table there was no construction being done. We have a crumbyass cake tasting tray of frozen cake. The wouldnt even give us plastic forks to go try them in the car. Very disappointed. How unprofessional. Do not use this business.

Dont fret if its busy, it is worth the wait. definitely worth going back to. the place has a good atmosphere. feels like a place in charlotte that i enjoyed visiting.

Their cakes are delicious but none of their employees were wearing masks! They make and handle food, and now I dont trust their product. So disappointing. I really hope this was a legitimate extreme health issue (which are very rare so I highly doubt it) because its literally putting lives at risk, including mine. If I had known that was the case before I paid, as I would not have ordered and put myself and my family at risk.

They have worlds best cappuccino cake. They also consistently never make enough of them. 4 times Ive gone in and they have been sold out. Their suggestion is to call ahead.Most businesses adapt and stock what sells best.

I wanted a donut shaped cake for my daughters first birthday and explained what I wanted over the phone. The cake was EXACTLY what I wanted and it was VERY inexpensive. They were kind and personable and were even able to help me out on a holiday week when most other shops were closed for the week. I would highly recommend them to anyone

After receiving terrible service at Cheris up the road, we got our wedding cake here in 2003 and have been coming here ever since for birthdays and other celebrations. The taste is hard to beat, and they have always been spot on with whatever design we request. The joined business next door is great too. A lot of cool cake toppers and other baking supplies for the crafty bakers.

I visit occasionally to pick up something ready to go from the display case and have always found the customer service to be amazing. The cookies, cakes and cupcakes Ive purchased have always been wonderful!

I went in not sure about a congratulatory cake top design for my nephews MS Degree celebration of family and friends. They had several cake graduation examples to give me ideas. They knew Friends Univ. colors, as well as other schools. Very professional and experienced, I left feeling like I visited the perfect place to help me with this special cake order. Elisa and I ordered a burgundy and silver wedding cake. When it was delivered we got a white and silver cake with no burgundy. So thats why I gave 3 stars.

We go to Artistic for every cake, but this review is specifically for my wedding cake and bridal shower cakes. It was AMAZING. It was exactly what i pictured. It was so delicious. They provided a top tier with freezing instructions for our first anniversary. My bridal shower cakes were AMAZING! I had a Harry Potter themed bridal shower (nerd alert), and they made The Monster Book of Marriage and a Marauders Map cake. They were so beautiful Im still gushing over them! We received many compliments on the taste of the cake as well!

Under new management and they are fantastic. She just did my daughters wedding cake. She worked with us to fins exactly what we wanted. She contacted me to confirm details when needed. The cake was beautiful and delicious.

I have used Artistic Cakes for many years and have always been pleased. Everyone loves the cakes and they are big hits. It had been awhile since I needed a cake (kids are grown) but they still were the first place I thought of when I found myself in a pinch and needed a special cake for THAT DAY. My daughter had already called multiple places with no luck. The cake was perfect....the staff was pleasant and empathetic to my needs....and I have officially given up came making ;)

It is not very often you attend a wedding and find the cake to be both stunning and delicious. With Artistic Cakes you get both! They have been making our family birthday cakes for years and so they were the obvious choice for our wedding cake! When I saw the cake I cried! It was beautiful. I was even more excited to have my guests tell me for weeks after the wedding that most of them had 2-3 pieces and that is was the best wedding cake they have ever tasted. You CANNOT do better than Artistic Cake- awesome customer service, incredibly affordable and the best wedding cake ever.

Was having a huge sweet 16 for my daughter . I had gone in and said money doest matter. Then showed them a picture of what I wanted. They told me they couldnt do fondant. I was like umm but your a cake shop. They assured me that they could still make the cake look how I wanted it. On the day of the party I went to pick up what I thought was going to be an amazing sweet 16 cake. Boy was I let down. The cake was sloppy, the fondant was cracked, the cake looked like my 4yo had made it. When I asked to talk to the manager I was told that he was in back making other customers happy with that cakes and couldnt come talk to me. I was so upset. My husband called up to talk to the manager/owner. The owner told my husband that they would refund my money if I brought the cake back to him, but wouldnt give us anything to replace the cake they messed up... I wouldnt suggest anyone going here with the rude customer service and lack of cake know how..

I ordered a 3-tier cake for my mother-in-laws 75th birthday. This cake was to feed 100+ people on a Sunday evening. A couple of days before the event, I realized I would not have refrigerator space to hold the cake if I were to pick it up on a Saturday. I called them and asked if they could make an exception to meet me on Sunday. At first, they said no. I pleaded and said I really did not have a fridge that can accommodate. They went back and said yes, they found an employee who can meet me. Heres the whopper though. I would have to pay an extra $20 for picking it up on their day off. Look, I understand this is your day off and you have to make an effort to come in but come on, where is the customer service? I used to work at Coleman where we order retirement cakes from you and I know your cakes are good but I just didnt see any customer service in your response. So I canceled my order because Id rather spend my money where folks appreciate me and my business.

This place is absolutely horrible. We ordered a cake here last week for an upcoming birthday when we picked up our cake it looked like it was decorated by an amateur. The lettering was off center and you couldnt even make out the design on the cake. When I complained to the manager he refused to do anything to make it right. Needless to say, we left with a $35 cake we cannot use and had to order another cake elsewhere. Money wasted. We will undoubtedly never return. With many other cake decorators and professional bakeries in the area, theres no reason to receive such low quality and poor customer service.UPDATE: They have since tried to argue with me on their Facebook page after leaving a negative review. You can see for yourselves what wonderful customer service they have in their review section on Facebook. They posted lies that they offered to replace the cake, which never happened or I wouldnt be so upset. I also noticed that several of the employees are leaving positive feedback. They are not an honest company.

I ordered my wedding cake from here. They made it exactly how I wanted it, delivered it for free because we were so close, delivered it on time, and it was delicious! I couldnt have asked for better service.

Ordered a graduation cake - decoration was spot on, BUT it was suppose to be white/chocolate - it was half white and half strawberry and the cake was not cooked thoroughly. Most of the cake was not edible. Very disappointing !

I ordered 8 dozen cupcakes and a 6in cake (for the top) for my wedding since it was out of town - they dont deliver that far - and the wedding was outside so a big cake wouldnt have held up. The staff KNEW my wedding was an hour and a half away. I had my parents pick up the cupcakes and cake as soon as the shop opened so that they could get to the wedding venue and set everything up. 3 hours later, I received 2 calls from the shop - both times someone hung up when I answered. I called back and they informed me that they forgot to give my parents the 6in cake for the top of the stand. I was an hour and a half away and all I got was an oh were sorry, we dont know what you should do. Thankfully my best friend wasnt too far out of town and was able to turn around and go back for it, but Artistic Cakes just about ruined my wedding cake. NEVER doing business again!

Our wedding cake was wonderful and the service at the shop was great, there were a few issues, 1st someone put the cake topper on wrong, dont know how they manged that when I gave them a pic showing how it should look, no one put the grooms cake in the frig so it set out for three days after the wedding and someone broke the cake topper after the wedding reception.

Prices of cakes have gone way up. Paid $50 for a small cake used to be $40

The cake was the worse we have ever had .the icing tasted so sweet this time .when I called to tell them they had nothing but excuses.they never once asked if they could redo it .will not be going back .I dont recommend this place to anyone .customer service there SUCKS !

I have been getting cakes here for the last 3 years and i picked up my daughters cake last saturday and it looked like a 7yo drew it...It was suppose to be emojis and it looked like suns with jacked up faces this is the first time i have ever had a problem with how my cakes looked but for the price i spent it should have had way better line work than it did

My husband ordered me a owl cake, picked out the pic from there computer! You should see this cake it looks like a 2 yr old decorated it !!! Very disappointed!!!!
