To be honest I wasn’t sure what to make of this place the first time I visited.Common Grounds is situated inside of a house so it naturally has its own kind of vibe to it.Now it is one of my favorite places to go and do work, have coffee and not feel rushed in any way.The people are respectful and cool, the sandwiches are great and the coffee is good as well.I didn’t even mention their hours of operation. You will not find a coffee house with these hours in all of Wichita.I’ve been to many coffee shops living in LA and I would have to say that this one is definitely unique and worth checking out sometime.

Very good place for a small meeting or just a quiet place to enjoy a sandwich and tea. Several small rooms to meet in or just study. Jenifer does a great job in meal prep. Parking in front on the street and also in back.

Cute coffee shop. The atmosphere is like that of a cozy home. Working from home can be difficult with distractions of home projects. It doesnt feel like a busy coffee shop. There are lots of rooms that have occupancy recommendations depending on the room size.Plus they have good coffee from the Spice Merchant!!

Adorable downtown coffee shop. Ordered a 16 oz cappuccino, a 16 oz cold brew, peanut butter cookie, chicken bacon ranch wrap with potato salad, and a Ceaser salad; all were delicious. Staff and management were super sweet and were willing to go out of their way to make our experience a good one. They have lots of seating area, WiFi, an outdoor patio, and it looks like they even do events with a stage in the back room.

Excellent coffee and delicious food. 10 out of 10 would recommend, but dont steal my secluded nook!I cant get over how utterly reasonable the prices are either!

I like being able to go to your own corner in a room and have a quite space away from home to do work and drink a cup of coffee. However, the staff have tended to be rude the few times I went, the place is not the cleanest, and using the restroom there is awkward and they seem to have plumbing issues that need resolved. Great concept that has a lot of room for improvement.

I tried Common Grounds Coffee House this week! The parking was weird because it was behind the house. The people were kind and friendly. The peruvian latte was good, I LOVED the mug color! I also had a yummy smoothie. The atmosphere was fantastic and I loved the Christian music playing. I definitely want to go back.

Our book club met for coffee and conversation. Darling coffee shop. Decorated nicely, comfy and very clean. Enjoyed sitting on the front porch, can’t wait to go back and try their lunch menu.

This place is amazing!! We are just in Kansas for a weekend visiting a friend and needed a nice cup of coffee.It was kinda hard to find, its a house!! With a small sign out front... the owner is amazing, super friendly, super nice and made an amazing cup of coffee. We had a plain Moxha and their seasonal drink (white chocolate with cinnamon) both were perfect!! And the atmosphere is so chill, you could just sit here drinking coffee for hours. I love it!

Definitely my favorite coffee house in Wichita. Staff always friendly, great atmosphere, and of course, excellent espresso.

This is an amazing place they turned this old house into a coffee house. There are alot of rooms that you can use for bible study, school studies, and meetings.

First of all, the flavored coffees are delicious and I also recommend the chicken salad sandwich and the potato salad. Yumm!There are aprox 7 rooms with comfortable upholstered furniture, also small tables and chairs, in which you are able to have small gatherings. I also like the staff they are friendly and dont mind answering questions and making suggestions. I love that they tell me about the types of coffee they offer.

Such a chill spot I feel so at peace when I am there their coffee and sweets are the best I recommend this to everyone

Coffee was disappointing. At best. To start, there a few important options lacking: no cold drinks, only whole and almond milk (the worst alternative milk and the one most have an allergy to). The espresso was poor, and the chai latte was one of the worst Ive had (a liquid concentrate leading to not enough room for milk + the decision to not add foam lead to a watery mess with bad flavour). The atmosphere is fine, but it feels like you are invading a home. Bonus star for cute decor and decent customer service.

Great little place homey atmosphere, plus the barista knows what shes doing. We went for a date and was plesantly surprised by the place. Outside it looks like a 2 story house but its far from on the inside. Multiple seating arrangements are set up for what ever tickles your fancy, the coffee or tea is made right in front of you. If you order any of the food options they are brought out to you relatively fast. If your a pokemon enthusiast theres three stops right withing spinning distance while you lounge and enjoy your warm cup of awesome. We will be back and I recommend you giving it a try.

Very friendly and calm atmosphere. Coffee is good, not great. Food is more of a snack to be had with coffee than a meal. Breakfast burritos, bagels, sandwiches, soups,etc. If you want a local, calm place to come kick your feet up and have a coffee then try Common grounds.

What a wonderful place. The people that work there are so friendly and helpful. Plus they allow AA and NA to have meetings up stairs nightly. Its quite a amazing place. If you like coffee and you want something different for atmosphere. This is a definite must check out. You will enjoy yourself and it is a very relaxing atmosphere.

Finally, a coffee shop that doesnt blast music. I am trying to study for an exam and went to so many coffee shops in Wichita but they were incredibly loud and crowded. Common Grounds is perfect, it has quiet rooms if you need to study or have a private meeting. So cozy and I love the decor. Will definitely be back, thank you!!!!

Such a neat concept for a coffee shop. The rooms are furnished with comfy couches and chairs throughout. It feels more like sitting in a friends house, rather than a corporate setting. The food is great, and the atmosphere is welcoming!

This is a hidden gem of Wichita! A great place to meet with a friend or two for a quiet, cozy place to chat! Im so thankful for this wonderful place. They also have a great selection of drinks, sandwiches, and desserts. Gluten Free friendly as well!

This is one of my favorite hole in the wall coffee shops. I love that they also support the drug/alcohol/codependency recovery community. When I spend money there I know its going to a good place.

Love this place. The prices are very reasonable. The employees are nice and welcoming, there is one woman though who comes off cold and distant. I love the quietness and the privacy. Perfect for doing homework or work. There is free WiFi, just ask for the password. Parking is in the back, its small; so if you have a larger vehicle; parking along the street would be best.

This place is awesome good coffee. Friendly staff. There are 3 floors available to spread out and have a quaint chat for 2 or 12. This is definitely going to be one of my favorite places to go from now on. I would highly recommend it to anyone else.

The coffee and prices are good here. Its comfortable to hang out by yourself or with a small group. The have several upstairs rooms that offer more privacy for a small group meeting. The baristas are always kind, helpful and friendly.

This was a really cool place. Im around here quite a bit, but I didnt actually go in until today; I wish I had been here sooner. It is quite literally a coffee house, an old house turned into a coffee shop. It has several different furnished rooms to go into for studying, conversation, or ping-pong. The drinks were also excellent.

We discovered Common Grounds on our city-wide coffee shop tour. Its great for creative energy, sharing, and of course, drinking coffee. The service was amazing; the employee was nice and helpful. The coffee was good--the frappuccinos are made with ice cream! :) We will definitely come back again soon!

Great prices for coffee and food! The Hot and Spicy Reuben was delicious, and a half order (which is actually a whole sandwich) is only $2 and comes with a pickle and olives. Brewed coffee is only $1, and they also have soups, snacks, smoothies, etc. Cant wait to try the Pecan Chicken Salad!It is located in a re-purposed house, so there are tons of interesting rooms to hole up in and have some quiet alone time, or you can hang out downstairs or go upstairs to play pool for free.All in all, a great hangout with great eats, drinks, and prices.

Great coffee for a great cause! This is one of my favorite coffee shops. I really love having the ability to meet with friends or study alone in a private room upstairs instead of out in the open. It contributes greatly to the casual, homey atmosphere. The baristas are great, and all of the profits go to a local charity.

My new favorite location in Wichita! Super cozy with all of the rooms and couches, makes this place perfect for catching up with friends or doing your homework! They offer FREE WIFI! And, they have a pretty good latte. =) I grew up in Wichita, and never heard about this place until a few days ago. This coffee house is the best kept secret in Wichita!

This place was kind of odd from an outside perspective. I was by myself, and when I got there there was no one else there bit the one staff member. The staff person sat on a couch and worked. There was no music playing and it felt awkward and like I was sitting in a strangers house. The coffee was fine, not amazing.

Great overall experience. Food is affordable and delicious, as is the coffee. Helpful staff in a cozy and homey environment.

Cozy place for coffee. Wasnt there for study, but can absolutely see this as a viable place to do so. The chai is good, tea lack luster, and I didnt try the coffee. Prices were worse than the local diner, but way better than a Starbucks would be.

Offering a homey atmosphere and a sobriety based environment I cant think of a better place coffee shop wise for a recovering addict or anyone in general to come unwind hang out and know they are safe. I have loved this place from the day it opened. Its my go to place for any reason any day.
