I work there part time and other than customers completely trashing the store, especially clothing, its great! Excellent for exercise and the staff Ive met so far are cool and helpful. Gotta learn the magic of folding the Penneys way though 🤣🤣 And, bonus, theres a Sephora! Get this lotion! Worth every penny! Smells like Watermelon Jolly Ranchers!🍉🍉🍉

Its the last JC Pennys I can reach so of course I go to it. Im only sad they got rid of my favorite blanket and no longer carry it. If they do get it back, Im probably buying their whole stock. Other than that I dont go here. Its normally too pricey for me and I dont tend to like dress clothes anyways. But yeah I love their blankets, and sometimes sheets and pillows. Those are worth the trip.

We found the color shirt that was needed for this wedding we were attending!! There was a young Man named Jordan (17) that knew what he was doing! I was extremely impressed! The staff their was very nice and helpful. I like going into establishments where the staff members have a sense of humor. It was a refreshing visit! Thank you all again!

We went in there to buy my grandkids winter clothes, the signs for the girls shirts were marked $5.88 with several shirts the same color and style when we went to check out they rang up $26.00, the same thing happened in the boys section sign saying $9.88 ringing up $14.95, I said something to the woman she said we go by the regular price of the shirt example girls shirt regular price $26.00 the sign said regular price $16 sale price $5.88 my question to JcPenny is as a customer we see shirts pants etc... on a table with numerous sizes for the same item as well as other shirts as a customer we are going to go by what the sign says for the sale price. As a customer if you sale items each with a different price or not even on sale as our issue is put them in another place marked correctly. If I wasnt paying attention to the prices when they being rang up we would of been over charged which in my eyes is deceiving us customers. The manager at the town east mall was rude and loud as well as the cashier. As a customer do you think we want to visit your store when the sale prices are not honored. No we dont. This is a huge disappointment to me cause I faithfully shop there when my kids were younger and now as a grandmother I have shopped there. But going forward I have to reevaluate if Im going to spend my money in your store if sale prices are miss marked. Concerned Customer 😟

Clean and had a huge selection of school uniforms. Could of had more staffing. Could only find the cashier. And had to go to the upper level to try our selections on.All lower level dressing rooms were closed. Guessing this was due to covid.

Sad to see the store starting to go downhill. Despite the fact that JCP is suffering the same fate as sears and monkey wards, the staff I encountered was very friendly and helpful. It was just difficult to find what I was looking for because they dont have enough staff to keep it straight and organized. Note that their hours are a little shorter than the rest of the mall.

I got what I came for and got out quickly. Carrie helped me find what I was looking for and more.

I purchased two pairs of jeans and a t-shirt from them today. One pair of jeans rang up higher than what I thought they should have, but I wasnt positive so I went back and checked after I made the purchase. I was correct according to the sale.price I was charged $10 more than I should have been. I went back to the register and waited in line until the original associate that helped check me out was available. I went to explain to her, however before I could finish my sentence she was telling me.how I was wrong and she would come show and explain to me.how the sale worked. I said well I read the sale sign so I know what it said, and she replied with yes everyone gets confused. So I said okay then come show me and explain. She came to the sign and I pointed out where I paid more than what the sale sign said, she said oh they must have just changed it, honestly it was a mistake and $10 may not have been such a big deal but she wouldnt even listen to what I was trying to tell her, she chose to speak over me.and that was frustratingWe go back to register and she calls a manager, as Im waiting for a manager to fix the issue someone walks up to checkout. They were behind me this I didnt see them, however the cashier says I can help you. She did t ask me to step over or anything. So I turned around and saw the other customers and moved over, but the decent thing would have been to say maam.im.sorry but do you mind stepping over so I can assist the dust behind you while we wait on the manager.Anyhoo, the manager comes I over heard her tell the associate the price changes last Friday (today is Tuesday) so her remark of oh they just changed it was very inaccurate.Still never did she apologize for her mistake or talking to.me.as if I were a child at the beginning of the transactionWhere has customer service gone?

They look like they are going out of business. More clearance than new Merch. The staff were friendly and prices never ring to correctly. Most items don’t have prices either.

Low on inventory, not a single associate said hello, although I never even saw one except at checkout. That poor store looks old, just in an old dying mall.

Family photos were ok. Wouldve loved to see more adjusting with the photographer. But she didnt position anyone nicely she just kept snatching photos. And thats a no for me. If im payin pro prices i want someone whose gonna at least try to adjust us when were to close or to far away of when a couple of us arent looking or our eyes close.

Great sale! BUT everything is miss marked, signage is wrong... dont trust any of the signs and double check at the register. The store staff wont tell you about the online and in store coupons AND they wont believe you about the signs and pricing unt you drag them and their rolling to the display and make them.gice.you their correct sale price.

This store did not seem to have any employees. The mens department was where we were and we didnt see a soul. (Were there last week and it was a different story. Maybe it was just the time of day.)

Not a bad place to find clothes. However, I placed an order with them online and was alerted 7 days after the order arrived that I would need to pick up the order in 3 days or they would get rid of it. I drove 25 minutes across town on Monday and arrived at 7:20 to pick up my order. The hours both online and physically posted on their door state they close at 8PM, however all the doors are locked. I called and talked to Kristin, the manager, to see if they could bring the order out to me since there is lack of clear communication as to when they close, but she refused. Im sure there is store policy involved, but I feel like she could have been more understanding of the inconvenience and either brought the item out to the pickup area (its already been paid for) or had it delivered to my house. Not a huge deal, I suppose, but genuinely annoyed by the experience.

Store was very clean! Had a great associate in the Mens department that offered advice on cut and fit for someone that is not used to a more fitted style. Timing was great in that sales combined with available online coupons helped me save almost $350 on practically a complete wardrobe update!

They offered me 30% off. But not really. Only if I applied for a card and I did. They diverted some of the charges onto the card without telling me. Then said look how much you saved. A few weeks later I got the bill - for my savings. When I called customer service she was very glib and let me know in so many words. Yeah she diverted some charges.I mistakenly went back to spend a coupon they had given me. Unfortunately, the coupon did not work and they had all kinds of reasons why the coupon failed. They said they were calling a manager. But after waiting 15 mins he never showed, so I left. I am cutting that card and will not be returning.

Customer service is nonexistent. Most registers are closed and associates who do see you will walk the other way. Asked a person where to checkout and I had to go downstairs instead of checking out upstairs at the front entrance. In my mind I was thinking about how many items just walk away because there is no one there. Terrible won’t go back

The floors were really clean as no one was walking on them but for the first time ever the cashier lady when I checked out was really nice and pleasant and had an actual personality

Havent been here in awhile. Went to check out and there was only one check out area with like 10-15 people in line. Very disappointed. Had a lot to purchase. Ended up leaving the stuff and walking out

I went in the other day to do a simple return, the clerk, April, was not very helpful. For most of the return, she did not seem to know what she was doing and she kept having to ask another associate questions about what to do, which made me question how much training she really had for this position. I feel like she should go back through training to fully learn her job so she can provide better customer service!

I was able to find what I went for, in spite of there being only 2 sales associates on the lower level. I went to the upper level and looked for some items I hoped to find on clearance. While I didnt count associates, there certainly werent very many! I then took the escalator down to the lower level, and was horrified at the amount of noise from the equipment, which only intensified as I neared the bottom. The escalator is obviously in need of major maintenance, if not outright replacement!

On two cashier took 25 minutes to get checked out. Not only disappoint as a customer. Very disappointing to see that the 2 cashiers being overwhelmed by the long line to check out.
