I believe I had a good experience years back when I came here. My friend was able to find a dress that looked great on her, but the store was pretty overstocked and I noticed the poor birds(winter at the time I was there) were placed directly by the window, shivering and stuck in a dirty, uncleaned cage. To say the least, I was not impressed.

The woman working there was incredibly rude to my friend and I the moment we walked in. She acted as if we were insane for wanting to browse the store whatsoever. She was immensely patronizing through the entire experience and made us both feel very uncomfortable and unwelcome. We will not be returning. It’s amazing to me how many similar experiences there are in other posted reviews and there has been zero improvement. The kindest people in that store are the parrots.

This was by far the absolute worst place I have ever looked for a prom dress, I will never go back and I do not recommend. Store is so crowded with dresses you can’t even look on the racks. The ladies were SO rude to me. They wouldn’t let me try on anything that I liked and they forced me to try on dresses that I wasn’t even interested in. The lady always had to be in the dressing from with me and made me really uncomfortable. They also took me in the back room and took photos of me after I said I didn’t want to do that. They made me out on shoes that were way too big and then they made me go walk to the front in them, I couldn’t even walk and kept trying to politely say I didn’t want to wear the shoes but no one would listen to me. Then when my mom and I tried to leave the lady tried to force us to buy the dress even tho we were just looking. She made me feel so bad about trying stuff on and not purchasing. I had terrible anxiety and a headache afterwards. Also prices aren’t even that great. Trust me and SKIP this stop. Also smells like birds inside because they have actual parrots…

Bought my prom dress here when I was 18, returned at 30 for my wedding gown. Not your typical formal apparel store but I really enjoyed my experience both times. Very professional and the pieces are unique and one of a kind!I was 7 months pregnant at the time I purchased my wedding gown and the owner was so attentive to detail and made me, my best friend and 4 year old daughter feel so special. I also love that she gives you Polaroids after you say ‘yes’ to the dress. 🥰Highly recommend if you’re looking for that special gown!

Tried here for Senior Prom. Selection is awful. They picked their own dresses for my daughter. Didnt care what she wanted. While my daughter was changing, one of the sales ladies literally stood in front of the curtain watching her feet. She went in while my daughter was dressing to adjust straps without asking! Its creepy and inappropriate. If you like neon sequin then its your place. Nothing elegant or simple. Went downtown instead.

I am now 50 years old and have been going to Parrot-Fa-Nalia for over 40 years. Some of the most important dresses in my life came from the store. I absolutely love it.

Owner was so incredibly rude the second we walked through the door. We got yelled at for just showing up to find a dress, we got yelled at because we didnt know we were supposed to get buzzed in. I had never been here before and the website literally says no appointments necessary. Yet she told us we couldnt shop there because we didnt have an appointment, I showed her how her website said no appointment and she argued with me. Felt incredibly unwelcomed and talked down to. Do NOT shop here if you want customer service.

I’ve never met someone more pushy and rude than the sales ladies here. They couldn’t give us a definite answer on an alteration for the dress and when we said we’re not putting money down on something that is a maybe, it was like a switch flipped and they all became so rude and told us we were making a big mistake. They don’t take into consideration the feelings of their customers they just want money whether the customer is happy or not. So disappointed in the trip. Do better.

I loved my dress, but they BUTCHER their alterations. They charge so much for the wrong alterations or alterations that do not hold up AT ALL. I was a senior when Covid hit & decided to take pics in my prom dress. One of the straps is messed up & the other FELL OFF from TAKING PICTURES — that just shows how bad they are. This place made dress shopping so easy. I had gone to several stores and was just exhausted from looking for a dress. A friend suggested parrot-fa-nalia and I wish I had gone there first. They told us when I bought my wedding dress there that if we bought tuxes they would be $82 per tux including shoes. Now 4 days before my wedding they are telling us it is $155 per tux. I would never recommend them. They will literally screw you over last minute. NEVER GO HERE!

Great place for that special occasion dress or tux. This store keeps its costs down by being in an older building. While it might not be as glamorous as one of the stores in the mall, you can find a high-quality dress in the latest fashion at a reasonable price. They have a system in place that protects girls going to prom. When you buy your prom dress here. Your choice is photographed and placed in a logbook. They make sure nobody else at your prom will be wearing the same dress. Go look around and shop this store last. Youll be glad you did.

We had a wonderful experience. My daughter brought in a picture of the dress that she wanted. They had the dress. She tried it on. No one was pushy. I couldnt go in the dressing room with my daughter but that didnt bother me or my daughter at all. I know how hard some prom dresses are to zip up. Both my daughter and I mentioned that we will go back.

Went in on a Tuesday and my wedding was set for that Saturday. I got a dress that fit my body shape perfect! They had shoes, earrings and a hair piece. Everything I needed all in one spot! Thank you so much for making my wedding experience stress free and fun.

This is by far the worst dress store. I feel like even one star is too much. If you are planning on coming here, expect tons of eye rolls and side glances from the workers. If you have anxiety, please beware. The dresses are extremely pricey for how trashy they are. I am repulsed by how incredibly rude and greedy those workers were. You can barely walk through their store because they store all of the dresses in trash bags...? They are constantly watching over you and its very creepy. I’m very displeased to say the least. Even if I found my dream dress, I wouldn’t give them a cent for it. DO NOT GIVE THEM THE TIME OF DAY.

I went into the store looking for a multi event formal dress. They had a very large selection. The staff were extremely helpful in finding a BEAUTIFUL dress. They even offer alterations, which I took full advantage of, they even added a slit in the dress to make it PERFECT. I had a wonderful experience.

We recently went in to find a prom dress for my sister and we had an amazing expierence. We went in and they were so nice and accommodating. We ended up getting a Sherri hill dress and the owner gave us a good deal for it! We also needed alternations and they made time for us and did them as soon as we decided we were getting the dress. They gave us an amazing deal that included the dress, heels and alterations. The environment was positive and very welcoming especially with my two year old.The staff was amazing and I would recommend you come here a prom dress!

My mother bought her dresses here when she was younger. I have bought all of my formal dresses here, and now both of my daughters get dresses here as well. I love that they keep track of what dresses go to which school, so no girls will be wearing the same dress. They have always been very friendly and helpful in the many years we have been customers. We will never go anywhere else!

Give this place a chance!When walking in you may feel overwhelmed with all of the dresses that are in the tiny little shop...but if you are willing to dig and search through hundreds of dresses, you are sure to find your perfect dress!The ladies in the back are crazy fun, helpful, honest, and know what they are doing. They will pin and give suggestions for alterations with ease.The dresses are separated by size and length, but are very tight in the racks.When leaving they give you a Polaroid picture to take with you! Dont be scared by the outside or inside!!

I love to shop here for prom! The employees are very helpful, fast and friendly. After shopping in Kansas City for dresses, my daughter went in with a picture of a style she liked, and they brought her several dresses to try. It was a stressfree shopping experience! We had a great experience today! I wasnt able to go in the dressing room with my daughter, but the help was wonderful and attentive to her. They had plenty of dresses to choose from! I didnt give 5 stars because they really do have too many dresses for the space they are in. It can be quite overwhelming if you go in with no idea of what you want. My daughter wasnt really looking forward to going here after reading other reviews, but we both agree that we are glad we went and will return next year.

I had a pretty good experience here. I came in, told them exactly what I wanted and my price range. They directed me to the area that held my size and even offered me discounts on some of the dresses. I ended up getting a used dress that had a messed up zipper so one of the ladies fixed it for me free of charge and with a smile on her face. They were very personable and I also love the birds that are there. It adds a lot of personality to the place. I do believe that they should get rid of some of the clutter however..The store would look a lot bigger and it would be easier to look through all of the dresses. The dressing rooms are also super tiny which honestly isnt that big of a deal. I did hear one of the women on the phone with a customer getting snappy and I think that was completely uncalled for. Overall, I do like this place and I will be coming back in the future.

This place doesnt even deserve one star. Staff is very rude and its always a madhouse. There is absolutely no space to walk. You cant take pictures of the dresses you try on, but the dresses are all ugly anyways. I promise none of their dresses are worth it to visit this place. Literally go anywhere BUT here.

Give and take. If you have a specific dress in mind, they probably have it or can alter a similar one to meet your dream. If you have NO idea what dress you want, this is the best place to get to try on every style, color, and size. BUT, they are a little overpriced for the quality, and have a hurry up and buy attitude. They tell you everything looks great, when Id rather honesty.

I would rather give it no stars. This place is sweetness covering a hidden agenda--to bilk and tear down. After asking the lady to wait until my daughter and I could come in to decide if she wanted more alterations, they went ahead and altered anyway. $200 lost. This is definitely a scam! I should start by saying I don’t typically go online to write reviews, but, this experience was so extreme, I felt I should warn my other, fellow Wichita shoppers!!! I went to the store for the first time to look for a homecoming dress for my Freshman daughter. I was looking through the racks for about 10 minutes, minding my own business, and never once did a sales associate ask if they can help me. That is actually the way I prefer to shop, but I only bring this up to set the tone. I then saw a dress displayed on the wall that I thought might be a good match for my daughter. I inquired into the return policy which I was told was exchange only. Since they didn’t have my daughters size in, they said that the smaller size would probably fit her. However, I wasn’t comfortable buying a dress that I wasn’t sure would fit her (since she wasn’t with me at the time) if they didn’t allow returns. So, I said is there anyway I could pay fully for the dress tonight and then return it in the morning if it doesn’t fit her. They were quite rude in their response and so I said I’m not able to purchase anything at this time without knowing if she will like it or if it will fit her, but maybe I can take a picture of the dress to show her and if it seems like something she would like to try on, I can bring her back in after her athletic commitments. And that is when the lady, whom I presume was the owner, flipped out! She said there is absolutely no taking pictures of the dresses and my daughter could find her dress elsewhere. She then said “you can leave now, bye-bye!” She repeated that line several times with her hand actually waving goodbye at me like something out of a Saturday Night Live skit, as I just stood there with my mouth hanging open, not even able to form a sentence! I seriously thought I was on some sort of a candid camera show because there was no way that somebody would actually behave like this? She then said “what’s the matter, have you never had anybody talk up to you before?” WHAT?!?! I wasn’t sure whether I should laugh, cry, or yell back at the ridiculousness of the situation!!! Imagine a customer actually trying to find a way to purchase one of your items… Crazy me for asking such silly questions to set her off!! Anyways, that was my public service announcement for the year. If you decide to venture in here to shop, maybe don’t ask any questions or make eye contact… You never know what the reaction might be!!!! I myself, will never step foot in that store again and so this establishment just lost 4 years x 3 dances per year worth of dresses from our family....There are too many great stores out there or online options that I wonder how long this place will stay in business?

I was recently with my granddaughter and purchased a beautiful dress. The women were so helpful and supportive. We really appreciated their help and cant wait to come again next year for a senior prom dress. Selection was fantastic and the price cant be beat!

Extremely fatphobic and rude.

Very poor customer service. The store is small and hard to get around and the employees are very rude. Instead of asking politely for someone to step to the side so they can get around their rude about it. My friend was trying on wedding dresses and asked me to take the one dress that she just tried on and so I was being nice trying to put it back on a hanger and employee came up to me very rude and said they had people to put those back on and took the dress out of my hand. I was just trying to be nice instead of throwing the dress on the floor but apparently me being respectful of their dresses was not good enough so next time Ill make sure I dont try to be respectful. Would not recommend to anybody due to their rudeness and disrespect of people trying to buy dresses our business will go up elsewhere.

If I could give 0 stars I would!!!! I came here to look at dresses for my wedding 9 years ago. We ended up buying a very beautiful dress, but the ladies there were extremely rude. When it came to alterations, they were talking behind my back about how I was pregnant and getting married. I wore bejeweled tennis shoes and they made rude comments about that. When we came to pick up the dress, they didnt even give me a bag to put my dress in. And it was raining out! They refused to steam my dress also. My mother had to take me to a tux shop to get it steamed. NEVER WILL I EVER SHOP HERE AGAIN!!!

Went in with a specific budget and even though it was kind of a small budget, staff worked really hard to help make it happen!! Everyone was so kind and helpful. We went later in the evening, so it wasn’t extremely packed in there and that REALLY helped. The dresses here are gorgeous and the shoes were beautiful as well (and affordable!!!). I’m extremely happy we came here and couldn’t have asked for a better experience. We will be back, that’s for sure!!THANK YOU TO ALL THE LADIES THAT HELPED US LAST NIGHT. Havent been in here for more than 20 minutes. Im trying to help a friend find a wedding dress. Not only is she not allowed to take pictures of them for reference, Im not allowed to help her put them on. The ladies working today are very rude and very pushy. I definently wouldnt reccomend shopping here.

I love my dress... But the service and my alterations SUCKED!!! The owner does the alterations. Went in to pick up my dress after alterations and it did not look good. So after I told her I wanted it fixed she told me not to be surprised if I came in to pick it up and only the front of the straps I wanted put on were sewed on. What???? Im paying you to finish my dress and youre telling me you arent going to finish it???? Also the dresses are way overpriced. All I can say is if youre going to buy your dress here, get it altered somewhere else.

1st Visit September 2018: This place was highly recommended by a friend. I read the reviews but decided to go anyway...AND I’M GLAD WE DID! When we walked in I explained what the dress was for, my daughter provided them with her likes and dislikes, and in 20 minutes she had her perfect dress. Excellent customer service, knowledgable owner and staff jumped right in and started lining up designs. In/out the door in 30 minutes and all at a reasonable price. Will go here first next time for sure!2nd Visit: Came back February 2019 for a Homecoming dress. In/out in 30 minutes and a great dress. No hassle, great help...will be back again!

I have lived near this place for a lot of my life and it has always made me uncomfortable. They lease the basement out and the parties end up out of control 9 out of 10 times. Ppl have been shot and stabbed there. Ive seen other ppl standing in Hillside drunk, trying to get cars to run them over. Ppl throw bottles and bust glass. Litter in the neighborhood. They also have some sort of association with the used tire shop next door that I cant understand. What do dresses and used tires have to do with each other? I dont know.

If you happen to buy a wedding dress here...Have it altered SOMEWHERE ELSE!! The sales lady told me when to come back for my alteration then the OWNER Nancy and some fat blond old lady yelled at me over the phone and in the store. VERY rude and I wouldnt recommend them to ANYONE Prom or Wedding...They had my dress for a week and a half and the alterations lady hadnt even started on it! On top of that after telling them countless times, they couldnt get my wedding date right so 3 days before my wedding(still no alterations done to my dress) I had to go get my dress and pay to have it rush altered at Quick Stitch who did an awesome job and saved my day for sure! The store is cram packed with dresses and they are rude and I will NEVER EVER set foot in this place ever again and I do not recommend anyone else to either!!

This place is extremely racist either that or their service just sucks badly. If Im going to spend hundreds on a dress Im gonna need some better service if I could I wouldnt rate it any stars . Awful. Would give zero stars. I went shopping for my senior prom. The day after we bought the dress I decided I didnt like it. I called and told them to not go forward with alterations. Then my mother called and asked them to not go forward with alterations as well. We came back in today and she had done the alterations anyways. I told her that I didnt like it. She threw the dress into a dressing room and left. When I walked out to the front, the alterations werent even done the way we had discussed. When we told the owner, Nancy, that I wasnt going to take the dress, she became her rude and aggressive. She belittled my mother and it was all I could do to not retort. When I changed and we went back to the front, we asked for a refund and she said because alterations were already done, they werent, she wouldnt give us our 200 dollars back. On our way out she called me a spoiled brat and when I went to another store I felt so bad about myself that I broke down crying. This place is awful. All they want is money. Its a scam. Do not go here.

I have bought from this store several times despite the aggressive sales associates. However, this past April the owner actually yelled at my daughter when she was undecided between two dresses. I put money down on one item but released it the next day. I have not received a refund. The staff is less than helpful through multiple phone calls and I was just informed they will not refund my money.

Nancy, the owner, told me that if my “little career as a hairstylist” wasn’t keeping me busy enough then maybe I should get a part time job because I had “too much time on my hands” if I was able to provide proof that their store manager was lying to both of us. Pushy. Unprofessional. Rude. Zero loyalty/gratefulness to their customers.

So me and my 2 friends went in with our friends mom and we picked out a few dresses to try on. The workers were nice at first but as soon as my friend mentioned that we were just looking for now, they became very rude and rushed us to get the dresses off. Also heard another girl get thrown out because she said the same thing. Another thing, they literally yelled at my friends mom for trying to take a picture of a dress.It seemed as soon as anyone mentioned they were just looking, they became instantly rude. WE WILL NEVER BE GOING BACK AGAIN. You can count on that.The place is very small as well.

I was trying to find a prom dress and every dress I tried on was CLEARLY not flattering but the staff was insisting that it was just so they could sell a dress. When my grandma voiced her opinions about a couple of the dresses being a little too small and not flattering, a blonde lady said well she isnt a size 3! Seriously?? It was like she was saying that just because Im not skinny I should settle with a dress that doesnt fit. Then the sales woman got upset when I said that I wasnt a fan of the dresses either. She unzipped my dress very harshly and was in the isle talking about me and my grandma!! How immature can these people be?! I will NEVER shop here and Im telling all of my friends and family to never come here because of the rude staff!!

Extremely rude! I came in to look at wedding dresses, was pointed towards a certain section that was NOT my size by the first lady and another lady made a comment about those dresses will be too small for you in a very condescending tone. I showed the ladies a dress I had tried on elsewhere to show them what kind of style I was looking for. Instead of going off what I had said they just picked dresses they liked. Every dress I tried on was... Well... Bad. I mean, Im sure theyd be fine for someone, but they were not what I wanted. I wasnt nit-picky or stubborn, I just didnt like a single thing about any of the dresses I tried. The ladies kept insisting the looked fabulous on me (which they did not) as if their insistence would change my mind. One of the ladies commented that I had my heart set on the other dress, but honestly, even if I had never tried on another dress I wouldnt have liked a single one of those. She commented this again to another lady who said, well then she should go buy a $1,000 dress if thats what she wants in an extremely rude tone (my dress was not $1000 by the way, I think she was just trying to make it seem like their dresses were such a great deal, besides... Id rather spend $800 on a dress I love than $300 on one that makes me want to cry). At that point I was done. I was open to trying on more dresses. I was considering coming back for bridesmaids or tux rentals. But the rudeness I experienced there will make me never go back.I realize that their time is valuable, however the way I was treated was extremely short-sighted and very disrespectful.If this had been my first dress trying on experience I probably would have cried and bought a wedding dress off eBay.

WARNING....Do NOT shop here for a prom or wedding dress. (They do not even deserve one star, however I had to post my review for others to read. ) You will be horribly disappointed....the staff here are less than average when it comes to knowledge about fitting someone for a dress. After we had paid for the dress at a huge mark up on price...the owner decided to touch the dress w her greasy chicken fingers from chicken she had been eating and proceeded in altering the dress. When I called her attention to it she indicated that she would get it cleaned, which we are quite sure she cleaned herself. We couldnt make it to the store for the date it was promised to be ready (Fri.). We decided to get it the very next day, only to be told by the owner herself that we should not have came on the weekend to try it on or pick it up. Then, to find out she had sown in cups 4 sizes to small and made seams in the bodice that should not have been there. We asked her to put shear straps on from the extra material...she told us she would tack them on but not to expect the front to be done when we come back for the dress. After spending $498. SERIOUSLY??? this is how you get treated??? We took the dress elsewhere and had to spend another $60. for the lady to fix the mess that they created. I must add that if she had the dress professionally cleaned it would have been steamed as well...it wasnt and she expected us to take the very expensive prom dress home all wrinkled up. I asked them to at least steam it before we took it elsewhere & I will be darned if the lady who was trying her best to do it didnt get pulled off and the owner stuck it in a bag....gladly taking more of my money for alterations that were not done and what had been done was so poor we could not believe our own eyes. All they care about is taking your money...not doing a good job or satisfying #1...the client. We will NEVER be back, and ladies please know that you deserve MUCH BETTER for your money! BEWARE Do NOT get SCAMMED!

So I found a dress that I liked there but someone at my same school was wearing so I couldnt have it. They were very rude about my size and they had to come into the dressing room. Not only that but that said like if I weighted a little less that I would have more options to chose from. Never coming here again. They arent friendly either. They follow you around and make you feel pressured to wear something you dont want. And this place SMELLS

Giving one star is generous. The customer service is awful. Everything is overpriced. Oh, and they will not tell you about their return policy ... no cash or credit back. So even if you say at checkout I just need to try this on at home they wont make you aware that youre stuck with it because it says it on the receipt... that you get after you pay the money. Anyway, please dont waste your time here. Ive only heard awful things.

Worst store I have been in my entire life. Employees rude and make rude comments if you do not like the dresses THEY like. Smelly, crowded, and unpleasant environment. Tried to pull off tags and hide the REAL price of the dress before upcharging it. Do not recommend. Wish I could give zero stars. *edit: bad grammar due to anger :-)*

I wish I would of listened to all the awful reviews about this place, worst dress store I have ever been to. For one you can’t walk thru the dresses. Well I ended up finding a dress I wanted but it was missing beads and ripped. The owner Nancy promised to order a brand new one if we put down a down payment. So we did and they said it would take 6 weeks for my dress to come in. A week later they said it was in as I went to try it on the 2nd time I noticed the same rip was there and same beads were missing. We asked for a new dress or our money back. Nancy told my mother she ruined my prom and told us to leave. Refused to give our money back and we now have no dress.

Staff just wanted to sell you overpriced dresses and get you out. Store is insanely crowded with too many dresses in such a small building. Did find an old Sherri Hill, however. Alterations are $18 an hour and you have to make an appointment to get them done. Overpriced and not easy to find a dress, but there are good dresses in there.

Its a little tight but the service is amazing, they need a bigger building but lovely dresses for a cheap price

Shop somewhere else!!! How in the name of all things holy do these people keep their doors open? I have never been treated like I was a criminal before I was even able to look around. They wouldnt allow pictures taken because the designers dont allow it, and they were rude about everything, always yelling at someone for anything they could think of. They were condescending about sizes (why ask a girl her size of you think you already know it??) enough to make a girl feel bad. I would sooner urinate razor blades than buy a thread from this store. If you support this store, youre either sadly desperate or ignorant.

Left with THE dress. My maid of honor did, too. Prices were good.

Owner was super rude. Would t allow us to help our daughter. Store was dirty. My daughter is covered in hives now. Not sure if it’s related but quite a coincidence.

Ok to start off i suffer from panic attacks and the second time I had visited this store they caused me to have oneHORRIBLE people work there and I hope they get shut down! I wouldn’t be surprised if they ended up on the news one dayAnd this is going to be a very long review because this happened over several monthsThe second time I had visited the store was in 2015 to look for a wedding dress with my sisterI went in they were very nice at first.. I picked a dress out that was actually a prom dress but it was white with pink jewels sewn into the netting and then over laid on the dressI asked if it was possible to get these taken off and she said it might be but that it could leave holes in the dress from the thread. I showed it her it was not sewn into the actual dress just on the nettingShe said she would talk to the lady that does the alterations but she wasn’t in todayWorse case I would buy it and take it somewhere else to get alteredAnd then I went to try it on they wouldn’t allow my sister to help me put it on because “we’ve had people steal dresses” which how was so gonna steal this big ball gown when I can barely fit in the changing room. But whateverThey barely closed the curtain and did not ask if I had it on yet before opening it! A lady I think her name was “flo”? She had dark hair and was older zipped me up. I liked the dress and decided to make payments on itWhen I went to go in to make my final payment on the dress and talk to the seamstress there was a lady standing in front of the counter and she just stared at me.. so I said “um hi I’m here to make a payment and speak to the seamstress” she just smiled and there was dead silence.. I looked around and asked “is she here by chance?” Still no answerShe finally broke the silence and started cryingI was so confused! And then she goes “we um.. just have the best.. um.. seamstress in the world” I said “what’s going on?” She reached her hand towards me and said “ you’re going to be ok” and I freaked out at that point and started to panic thinking “this is a crazy lady that probably murdered everyone in theback” I backed away hoping she wasn’t going to touch me.. FINALLY the flo lady came to the front and she I guess heard me say I was here to make a payment “I grabbed her arm and whispered “is that lady ok?” And she looked at her and said “yea why?” As she was crying.. of course I’m still in the middle of a panic attack but I quickly paid and got the hell out of there I sat in the car trying to breatheThen I called my mom crying trying to calm down and she was on her way to keep me company untill I was well enough to driveThe flo lady came out and I rolled down my window and she said “the seamstress just showed up if you would like to come in and talk to her”She told me she would leave the door propped open so I could just walk in (they have to buzz you in normally)So I walked in and went straight to the back to the changing rooms so she could measure me.the lady that I first met came running after me screaming saying “excuse me! Excuse me! You can’t just walk into our store!”I turned to her and got mad and said “that lady over there TOLD ME to just come in that’s why the door is propped open” and walked awayAnd she just kept making scoffing noises and followed me really close. I had it at that point. Went to try it on again and of course the flo lady wouldn’t allow my mom to help and didn’t shut the curtain all the way again and the other lady WATCHED ME change through the crackGot dressed and they took a Polaroid of me. And then the crazy lady started crying again! We left.. they called me and left a message about 2 weeks later on a Friday at 11am and told me it was ready to be picked up but not to come in untill Saturday.. then in the same message said “so if you want to come in Sunday and pick it up” then again said “actually come in Monday “ they were open all weekend but whateverGot my dress Monday and never went back! Stay away from this place!

Worse customer service experience Ive ever had. I work in retail and they wouldnt let me help my bestfriend in and out of her dress because its on them if something goes wrong with it. I tried to put a dress up, and instead of saying thank you, I got the dress snatched out of my hand and told that I wasnt putting up the dress correctly; as if I didnt sell clothes before. I will NEVER give them my money.

After reading other reviews Im not surprised that my experience was also terrible. The staff truly was rude. I thought maybe it was just me misinterpreting them but according to other ratings seems that they really are. The service sucks. I asked to see some long sleeve dresses and the lady straight up said they were way over my budget. She didnt even show me any. I gave her a random budget since I was with my mother in law and not my mom but honestly my wedding was being paid for by my brother and cousins to where I didnt pay a dime. With my mom there I might not have had a buget and if she would have shown me some long sleeve dresses maybe I woup have ended up getting one with the help of my family. So they lost a sale there by being rude and closed minded. They didnt make me feel comfortable since the moment I walked in to be honest and were very pushy and kept rushing me. This place sucks regardless of their variety of dresses.

These ladies treated my Granddaughter great and helped her all the way with going to the Military BALL.

As most of us Mothers that ever attended our own proms already know, shopping for just the perfect dress is half the fun. The dress that makes you feel beautiful, elegant and confident. The dress that made you feel like the princess from your favorite childhood fairytale book. Well today was that special day for my daughter. After driver 2 hours we arrived at Parret-Fa-Nalia and were greeted by several pleasant mature ladies. As my daughter and I selected several dresses one of the ladies grabbed the 5 dresses and placed them in a dressing room. My daughter then went to try on those dresses she had selected, I was not allowed to assist my daughter with changing which was awkward for her especially since the older women working told her to take off her bra, my daughter was uncomfortable with a stranger helping her under the circumstance as most teenage girls would be. After she had found one that she liked she tried it on a second time and went to stand on the platform to look in the mirror to see herself in the beautiful gown, as she did another lady working took a Polaroid of my daughter and handed it to me. And I took a picture on my phone. My daughter went back in to the fitting room and changed into her clothing, came back out and we were discussing the dress. She liked it but wanted to look at a few other places just to be make sure. I was fine with that, however I knew we would be returning here to buy this dress but I wanted her to have her special day. The dress was priced at $485 dollars which for that particular dress was actually a very good price and honestly I would have paid 4 times that price just because the expression she had on her beautiful face when she first saw herself in it. So even though I knew this was “THE DRESS” I agreed to look at a few other stores because I wanted her to have the wonderful experience of feeling confident and beautiful in the dress she wore for her FIRST prom. As we were leaving I ask one of the ladies how late they were opened and that I knew we would be back for that very dress because my daughter would not find another one that would make her feel like that dress DID, but my daughter needed to try others just to be sure for herself. As we were leaving this is when things got VERY NASTY!! A Mature, plump lady working came rushing up thru a group of customers yelling out in a very hateful and extremely unprofessional manor at my daughter asking were she was going and demanding to know why she wasn’t buy that dress. When my daughter explained very politely that she wanted to look at two other place just to be sure the older woman became extremely hateful and began belittling my daughter exclaiming my daughter could not keep the cheap Polaroid of herself and literally snatched it from my daughter’s hand and threw it dramatically behind the counter stating these were designer dresses and demanded we delete pictures on our phone. She began to reach out to snatch my daughters phone away and I stopped her and I explained I had used my phone to take a picture and that I had GLADLY deleted it. I was in shock that a woman of her mature age ( late 60’s) was in a full on temper tantrum, she was SHAMING my 17 yrs old daughter for not buying a dress from her!! She literally created a scene in front of other costumers and INTENTIONALLY embarrassed my 17 years old daughter in front of about 20 other customers. I will NEVER shop at this store and Never recommend it to any of the Mothers in my town because of this woman’s terrible behavior. We did find the exact same dress at another store however I did pay more than Parret-Fa-Nalia priced it but it was worth every penny not going back and having my daughter face that unprofessional and fiendish woman that had intentionally humiliated a teenage girl for not buying a dress from her!!

1 star too much and Ive never been one to review, but really felt the need to do so on this place. The store was over crowded, dirty and over priced. One dress they had we seen in Dillards for $159, they had it for $390. It was hard to move around between all the dresses and people in the store. One gal acted as if she was on meth and got rude with my daughter when she tried walking past her to look at some dresses, another worker helping in the fitting room would just open the curtain before asking if it were ok. The owner and fitting room worker were nice until we got ready to leave without buying a dress; owner asked where the dress was and we told her we werent buying today, just looking and trying on, she then preceded to try and manipulate us into buying the several hundred $ dress, that it may be gone before we can make it back. I told her we were waiting and she then asked my daughter if we were gonna buy a dress online, I dont know, maybe but not done looking, then she got hateful and said we were rude to come in her store just to try on her dresses wasting her time and walked off. Then you are not allowed to take pictures, but it is OK for them too........ a little sketchy... Will NEVER step foot into that store again or waste my time throwing a penny to the owner for her to pick up off the ground.

Recently my mom and I went in to get our dresses out of layway & the owner insulted my mom because she decided not to get her dress (which BTW wasnt altered since it didnt need it). I understand it can be frustrating when someone changes their mind, but she did not deserve that. If the owner wouldnt of acted like that, my mom would have looked for a different dress there, but decided not to, since the owner was treating her like crap. If my dress wasnt already altered, I wouldnt of got mine either. Seriously, trust the reviews on here & Facebook! Do not waste your time & money at this store!

I had the worst experience Ive ever had looking at prom dresses. The sales ladies were rude and when I told them I was not going to make a purchase that day they became more rude and judgmental and didnt help me anymore. When we told what my price range was they sent me this small, smelly, and overcrowded room that was packed so tight with dresses that I could barely squeeze thru, you couldnt even move the dresses on the racks. I also had trouble finding my size and no one offered helpful information. All their dresses I thought were way overpriced and they favor customers who have a larger price range. I do NOT recommend going here to purchase anything and I will not ever go back.

Lots of choices in dresses and the prices werent to bad compare to the bigger stores at the mall. The staff was very helpful and honest and helped alot.

I feel like this is one of the accent tap one a start that I can remove. So I havent been here but I was not going to give a bad rattling because I honestly dont know.
