Ive known Gary for a little over 35 years hes the only mechanic I trust hes the only mechanic I take my car to he does the first come first serve basis no appointments his price is really reasonable and he does a great job I give Gary and wheat ridge Auto services five stars and the nice thing about Gary is he will tell you exactly whats wrong he wont try to oversell you stuff hell fix exactly what needs to be fixed and thats it

The man even checked out the supposed issue for free and recommended not to spend any money unless it becomes an issue. This will be my go-to mechanic from now on.

I’ve have the best experiences with those guys. It is super easy to leave my car and pick it up at the end of the day, also they have been really honest and while other places wanted to charge me so much money or didn’t find the real problem they have always fixed my cars even sometimes for free! I’m really thankful for finding a place that I can trust :)

I cannot say enough good things about this shop! We live in Indiana and our daughter just moved to Colorado. She is on a tight budget and her brakes went out. 2 different service garages were going to charge her thousand of dollars to do the repair+charge her for unnecessary work. The mechanic we worked with at Wheat Ridge went above and beyond to help us; he found a discontinued part, repaired only what was needed in one day and got her back on the road for an amazingly low price. My wife and I have been going to wheat ridge auto for 24 years now. The owner Gary, is fantastic. The shop does great work. He stands behind what they do. They have never overcharged and have reasonable prices. I wouldnt go anywhere else.

I went to a mieneke and they were going to charge me through the roof. I picked this place on a whim and they saved me about $500. They were quick and actually cared about fixing the issue, not just overcharging to make money for a corporation that could care less.

Perhaps good for locals but not for out of state who require urgent repair... the fellows next door were able to do better diagnostics and fix it within a day... where Gary did not diagnose correctly and indicated that the same day parts delivery is questionable... (the other shop got the parts within 2 hours...

My husband and I road tripped from MN to Denver. Upon arrival our driver front tire was pouring out smoke. We researched online to find Wheat Ridge just a few miles away with great reviews. The reviews is what made our decision. There were some diagnostics and repairs needed to assess what was wrong, and then parts were ordered. The parts took a couple of days to come in (not up to Wheat Ridge), but we always felt like a priority. I can only imagine they make most customers feel the same. The repairs were accurate, the customer service was great, and the price was right. I highly recommend using them.

Highly recommend this place, I went out of my area to have my sisters truck fixed here. Her truck had lots of problems, but the most being the radiator. Wow! I brought my 58 GMC in and was sure it required the oil pan gasket to be replaced. Some of the bolts had worked loose and they tightened them up, cleaned the pan, and ensured it no longer leaked. Simple and honest, reasonable pricing. So nice to find a shop that knows what to do and has integrity.

Definitely recommended. I towed in my 14 Dodge Dart when it it wouldnt turn on and wouldnt jump. They spent a lot of effort and time trying to figure out what was going on with it. Nothing seemed to work. They tried everything for a whole day and a half and really did theyre homework. Unplugged the battery and poof! The guy didnt even want to charge me. He was friendly, honest and has great 37 years of experience.

I have been to place after place out here and just to find out the issue they want $130 and if you want the repair done that does not go towards the cost of repair so I will go to Gary as I have since i was old enough to drive and get honesty..... Always honest and trustworthy. They always check with you before expensive repairs, and give you an honest opinion on where the repair needs to be done at this time or can wait. Save me hundreds of dollars. For oil change and diagnostic work, will usually work you in that day. The only place I take my vehicles.

Came in for a walk in, could tell they were a little put off by getting a walk in after lunch on Friday. But! They handled it well and gave me a great guess as to the issue. Price was very very reasonable and the mechanic I talked to Gary I believe was very up beat and super helpful!!!! I will be back to these guys.

Ive taken my car to a number of different shops. They quote me a price and never once has a shop called and said they got the job done faster than they thought and charged me less. Gary did just this. He quoted me $670 for a radiator replacement but because he got done sooner he charged me $540. Honest mechanic and good service. Ill keep going back.

I never feel like I need to get a second opinion with them, and I find their pricing to be reasonable. Im on my way to go pick up my car! I had a very short lived experience at this shop, due to their kick ass service! I left my car over night, they diagnosed the issues the next morning and had it done before closing today. Gary is very kind, as well as funny! Ive never felt so satisfied walking out of a car shop. Gary was great! I took my car to another place for an oil change and the person there said they found about $1000 worth of repairs. Mostly brake pad and rotor issues. The guy told me that each axel would cost me $350-$450 to fix these problems. I took my car to Gary at Wheat Ridge Auto and he changed the brake pads and buffed out the rust on my rotors on BOTH axels and when all was said and done it only cost me $360. I was so happy!! Not only does it feel good knowing my cars brakes are safe again, but I now have a mechanic I can trust. I am a young woman who just moved to the area so it would have been really easy for him to take advantage of that and be a crook. However, he was honest, explained every problem in detail and treated me like family. He also had it done the same day I dropped it off! Overall, the experience was above excellent and I will be recommending him to everyone. Thank you Gary!!!

Gary and his shop have been a trusted Wheat Ridge institution for several decades. Never heard any complaint from anyone about him. Fair, honest, if somewhat gruff, man. Generally not very talkative unless you ask about his old Panteras or Corvettes.My father started going to Gary when I was ten, and 25 years later I still trust him and go there first for any out-of-warranty work. If he cant do the job, he can tell you who will.

The man we talked to acted too busy to care what we were saying. He never once turned to look me in the eyes while speaking and only told me what was probablywrong with my car. I was then asked if I wanted to go ahead with a $600 fix based on what he thought might be the problem. Ouch. No thank you. I also felt a little discrimination because of my out of state license plate. Typical state to state treatment for travelers. Thanks Colorado.
