Typically when dealing with Kay Jewelers, my rings are gone for a minimum of 21 days when I send them out for my inspection and rhodium plating so I only utilize that service occasionally. I just relocated to Michigan from Seattle and I must say this location has the friendliest and quickest turn-around time I have ever experienced!I dropped my rings off on a Sunday and my rings were back that same week!!!! They look absolutely gorgeous, and Im very pleased with the service received.Both visits, I was greeted immediately and had little to no wait time for service. Jon was super friendly and informative. He was even kind enough to annotate in my records of an item I have my eye on and I will receive an email if theres ever a sale or promotion.Very happy to have found this location. If youre looking for great staff and service for your jewelry needs, this is the place!
I always have a good experience at this location. My hubby sent me to pick out something for my birthday and our anniversary while I had my jewelry inspected. I worked with Jessica and she was amazing!! She listened to what I was looking for, pointed me in a lot of good directions, and was so patient with me. I was in there forever and I never felt once that she was rushing me. Jessica was so kind and outgoing. I would love to work with her every time I go in!
The service at this location was good today, but when I dropped off my ring for service, almost a month ago, I was given bad information by John. I will call back and speak to him tomorrow or Saturday, when he is at work. Also, the work done on my ring wasnt the quality I was used to seeing done on my ring.
Never shop here!! Customer service is trash and I sent my ring in to be sized TWICE and it was still not right. Asked for management and called the customer service number and management said well...just send it back in. But why should I have to!?? I want to wear my ring and how is that fair to me that I can’t because they can’t size it right!! Pretty sure they switch rings around too and give people different rings because they lose jewelry!
Says it opens at 11am on a Friday. Walked by at 11:05 and not opened. Called at 11:15am and no answer. Says the hours were updated 4 weeks ago. Westland mall has went to trash and this store doesnt even follow their own hours. Make the drive to Twelve Oaks instead.
Mason the sales clerk was so friendly and helpful. He was very patient as my sister and I were not sure as to what we wanted. He should us a few pieces and we actually purchased more than we came to get! Kudos Mason you rock!!!
Wish I could rate this store 0 stars, not gonna talk bad about kay but will about the last 2 RETAILERS at this particular store so rude and absolutely no patience nor customer service experience good god I see this store closing in the mall next which sucks because this time last year the workers they had were awesome 👌 sorry yall are miserable and lucky enough to be employed during this time.... no need to be rude to the PAYING customers the company YOURE working for.

I waited a while to leave my review here...I’ve had to take my ring back 4 times in the two months I’ve had it. I had to return the first setting I bought. EVERY TIME I get my ring back from the jeweler, I have to call to make sure it came in. I never receive a call. Found out after the third time I had to take it back, that they had my info linked to someone else’s account, and they were calling them to pick up my ring. After picking up my rings for the 4th time, I can see from my before and after photos that yet again one of my stones was replaced with a lower quality one. After dealing with these issues from this particular location I won’t be going back again. Customer service is okay, but considering how much we pay for our jewelry, I can’t handle the shotty craftsmanship. Maybe other locations would be better, but I now understand why people told me not to go through Kay’s!

I recommend Kay to anyone looking for a jewelry purchase and need help and guidance. The staff are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. One helpful hint, you can order products online if theyre not available in the store. I suggest doing your homework online before going into the physical store. It will help guide your purchase. As soon as my husband and I walked in we were greeted by a very friendly employee. I cannot remember her name. She asked what she could do to help us and I explained that I was there for the inspection and cleaning of my ring. She looked us up with no issues and noticed that I did not have the matching wedding band for my ring yet and asked if I would be interested in it. I have a special wedding band which is very personal so I explained that to her and she accepted it. I appreciated very much her not being pushy about trying to get us to buy the matching band. She proceeded to do the inspection and cleaning of my ring while my husband and I looked around the store. I saw several items that I would just love to have but fell in love with one piece. When she was done cleaning my ring she brought it back to me and told me everything was good with my ring. She asked if there was something we wanted to look at and we told her yes. The entire time, she was not pushy. While she was ringing up the order she offered the warranty and explained what was included with the warranty. We purchased the warranty without hesitation. It was a very pleasant experience and would recommend the Westland location to everyone!
If I could give 0 starts I would.Horrible customer service.I came to have a ring repaired. The material it was made of wasn’t something they could work on. I told them what it was made of when I came in but they said nothing to me about it.They told me I would be contacted with an estimate in 2 days but I never was. I finally called a week and a half later to find out they had misplaced my ring and I waited all this time to find out they couldn’t fix it because of the material when they knew that when I handed it to them.I went to a jewelr down the road and they fixed it in 5 minutes.

The representatives are helpful and patient. They take their time with each customer and answer all questions. I love their customer service and welcoming atmosphere. Definitely a great place to go to find a great gift or something for yourself.
My daughter worked there 2 years. She wasnt treated very nice. When she left this week not even a goodbye. Sour grapes. So you can expect bad service now. The comments about good service were probably because of her

Its like walking into a time machine, to the simpler times of 1993. I felt bad for the workers having to deal with ancient computers and stacks of papers everywhere, but its annoying when it takes to 30 minutes to drop off a piece of jewelry - and youre the only customer in the store.
Absolutely horrible service. I was never greeted and was left standing around waiting for an hour without even being acknowledged. There were three people working and only two clients in the store (one employee was hiding out in the back room doing whatever) and when I was finally helped, the worker showed no enthusiasm for their job and put my item in a cheap, white, cardboard box, tossed that in a bag and sent me on my way. Worker never even smiled or showed any emotion other than bored and did not care about the long wait time. I get that its first come, first served, but an hour wait and poor customer service on top of that?I will NOT be coming back. I would give 0 stars if able to. On a side note: the machine they use to clean your jewelry is placed just outside of the store entrance and no one to watch it to make sure theft does not happen. Go somewhere else.
Worst customer service experience ever. My husband and I came in to get his ring fixed cause it broke and they told us they couldn’t do anything. They did not offer any coupon towards a new ring. The wedding band was purchased not even 6 months ago. One of the staff members were rude. Don’t shop at this Kay’s they will treat you very badly.

Very irritating experience. Went in to have my jewelry inspected like I do every 6 months and was told everything looks good and they were just gonna clean it all for me. After they took all my jewelry out of the cleaner I was asked how long til my wedding, I told him 10 days. He then proceeded to tell me how the center stone of one of my earrings had fallen out while in the cleaner. This was EXTREMELY irritating because he obviously didnt do a good job inspecting them 5 minutes prior to realize there was a loose stone. So I told them I had to have them back in 1 week bcuz I was not getting married here and was leaving. The woman who took over wrote 8/8/17 for the PROMISE date on the paperwork and yet I did not receive the earrings back until 2 hours before I was leaving town on 8/9/17 and no one had called me I had to call them. Overall HORRIBLE experience. Please dont go here and find a different one, it will be worth the drive I promise.
Alaina is my absolute favorite store manager ! When she left macomb i started doing business with her at westland. I met Jessica at the westland store as well and she has been just as helpful when Alaina isn’t around! Love them both ♥️
Jessica and Alaina were quick to help and were very helpful helping me pick differant promise rings, they were not quick to just push a sale means alot to me that they want me to pick the right ring! Will be back soon

I had to have jewelry shipped to Westland store after an AWFUL experience at the Fairlane Mall store. The staff at the Westland store were so nice and pleasant.

My experience was terrible, I went to get my ring cleaned. One associate started the process but I had to ask another to finish it. In doing so it was blantantly implied that because of how I looked that I couldnt have a ring so nice by saying I have to verify this because this ring is to nice, and held on to it until I got very agitated letting him know that that ring belongs to me raising my voice.I rather drive to another city to a Kays rather than go to this one and this one is 5 mins away!
