Had such a wonderful experience at this shop! The guys stayed open for me after I called because I had a triathlon the next morning and forgot my bike shoes (!!!). They were extremely professional, friendly, knowledgable, and helpful. They sold me the correct shoes, attachment piece, and even screwed it on for me. Truly went above and beyond and Im so grateful.

I wiped out on my bike on the way to work and wedged the chain in the gears pretty good. I have no clue how to do anything bike related besides ride them, and even then I dont totally trust myself. Anywho, found this place and they had my bike fixed up and ready to go in less than 5 minutes. Extremely helpful and kind. When I want to invest in a better bike Ill definitely be coming back here!

I was getting pretty frustrated and even resentful of my new road bike. Andrew and Matt completely turned that around and not only adjusted my bike back into pristine condition, but also gave me confidence to continue riding and approaching simple maintenance. Huge shout out to these two for making a Monday morning a little brighter and getting me back on the bike!

I have been a customer two locations ago and for several years. I was too lazy to put a tube on my kids front wheel, so I went in for a visit. I was greeted promptly and in a very friendly format. Not only did he swap it out, but talked me through it step-by-step so I can do it on my own next time. Truth is, I would rather pay the small price and watch a master. Ive always liked this store and wish them the very best at their new store. I will most definitely refer anyone with bike needs to them and revisit as I need to again.

My SO bought a bike from this company. They didnt seem to put it together correctly because the hydraulic seat was sticking. Then went for a ride and got a hole in the tire. No big deal except it is tubeless and they didnt add sealant to the tires. Seems like that should have been done before putting the bike out for sale.Update: Turns out the seat was faulty but somehow took them over 3 months to fix it. When I called and they said the part was order, I called the manufacturer and the part hadnt been ordered.Lazy and liars. Wanted to support a local company but the fact the bike took forever to fix, we were charged to have the tire fix and their are still missing parts on the bike. Hard pass on ever supporting Roll again

I brought my own tube to install and they said it wouldn’t work and forced me to buy one and paid about 22$. The first 15 minutes of riding I had a flat. Went to a different place and they said this tube doesn’t work well on my bike and they used the original one that roll wouldn’t install. They also tell you one price then when you go to pick it up they add labor to it. Like why can’t you give me the total price including labor before I give you my bike?I don’t recommend roll:

1. I was told by other bike shops that there are a nationwide shortage on bikes during this pandemic, some of them won’t get new bikes until July. Before I called Roll, I almost gave my hope up. I was very excited to find out Roll have the exact brand, size, and style of bike I want in store. It is a used bike, but look exactly like new, and it’s all tuned up in great shape. The test ride was smooth, beyond my expectation. What’s better, it cost only 1/3 of what a new bike would. (Because of how happy I am with it, I would have paid full price if they asked me. But of course they don’t, the staff there want to help me save money instead).2. Roll has an Upcycle program. You trade in your used bike and get a good discount for your next one, either new or used. They tune up the used bikes and sell them at a discount. It’s like a shared economy for cyclists. Everyone grows out of their bike, want new ones at some time. This program makes it easier to trade and make sure the quality of those upcycle bikes are good. As an environmentalist and minimalist, I think this is a great program.3. Their staff are professional, friendly and laid-back. I asked a random baby seat question. Steve said they haven’t done much about baby seats, so he wasn’t sure. But he dug out the baby seat in their inventory, found YouTube video to learn how to use, and installed it on my new bike while I was still in the store. I wasn’t expecting to give my baby a ride until weeks later, with more hassle of researching what to buy and installing. But because of how helpful Steve was, my baby had a happy riding with me the same day I got the bike! This wouldn’t happen if Steve wasn’t willing to go all the way to help me. The whole time I was in store, I feel the staff’s wiling to help is sincere.

So today I took my sons bike as well as my own into the shop to get it worked on. We just have some old Mongoose bikes from Walmart so nothing fancy and I was a little worried that the workers would look down on us or give us second rate service because we obviously have no idea about bikes....but it was just the opposite. The young man helped me have a better understanding of what might bike “actually needed” instead of trying to sell me the more expensive tune up or accessories. Not knowing anything about bikes I felt he had my best interests in mind and did not take advantage of me which I was super worried about. So refreshing I just had to write this review.

Everytime I go into roll: theyre extremely happy to see you in their store. Whether youre there to just look around or purchase something. I love the fact this bike shop doesnt want to sell you on a new bike unless youre ready for one, and work on a bike they dont sell. I feel their goal is to just keep you peddling regardless of the bike and its age.

I actually went to Roll: On Lane Avenue. I had a positive experience although I have only ridden my Giant Bicycle a few times since then. I have not had any problems with it at all. I like the service agreement with the bike, I feel it is a quality bike. I didnt want a $100 one from Wal Mart....overall I am satisfied with everything and I would recommend Roll: On Lane Avenue to others.

I bought a custom made C1 City bike from roll about 4 months ago for commuting, and it has been an excellent bike. I was amazed how quickly they were able to make the bike and get it to the store - less than a week. Its been a perfect commuter bike; its well-made, has great components for the price range, and is quite comfortable. After putting about 400 miles on it, I took it to the store (Lane Avenue this time) for a tune-up, and now it feels like its brand new.As far as the store itself, they have a great selection of upper-end road bikes, and even some tri/TT bikes. Their accessory and clothing selection is rather small, especially given the large floor space. Ive never seen them very busy, and every time Ive gone in Ive been helped quickly. The tune-up only took 3-4 hours.

I stopped in with my bike to get it fixed, get a new seat, etc. None of the employees would speak to me. I walked around the store, eventually the guy behind the counter said well be right with you. But the sales reps continued to help other customers that came in after me. Eventually I asked one the reps for help directly. He nodded and then walked away. A few minutes later he was helping another customer who had walked in afterwards. Im not sure what I did wrong but that will likely be my first and last trip to ROLL.

Bought an entry level road bike there yesterday. Took it out of the car and noticed the reflector wasnt tightened on the seat stem. No biggie. Started to take it on my first ride and went to change gears for the first time and realized that the derailers needed adjusted. Half an hour later I finally get to ride. 2 miles from my home the seat pan screw comes lose and my seat starts sliding and tipping. Needles to say the ride back was interesting. I understand things loosen after time, but 2 miles doesnt count. For $700 I shouldnt have to go home and monkey with stuff that I have to with a bike bought at Walmart put together by minimum wage high schoolers. Im a novice and thats why I went to a bicycle shop. Sales guy was very helpful, but the details seem to have been over looked.

I purchased the Raleigh Misceo 2.0 from the Roll: on Polaris Avenue and the purchase experience was outstanding. The bike was a perfect fit and was trouble-free for about 2-weeks.Unfortunately, that was the end of my positive experience.Thats when I noticed that the spokes were loose. Very loose. Thekind of loose I would have expected a first-rate bike shop to notice. My $75 Magna didnt have this problem, nor did any of the other box store bicycles I have bought over the years. I had to have the spokes tightened at a local bike shop downtown so that I would be able to make it home without damaging the rim. When I called Roll:, they didnt seemed bothered by the news, but noted that I did have a free tune-up and they would be happy to look at it. When I took the bike in, I alerted the mechanic that I also had a loose crank arm. He promised that he would fix that as well. When I got the bike back, all was well again - for about 2 weeks. The crank arm worked itself loose again. I had to purchase the allen socket to do it myself. The rim spokes worked loose again, and as time went on, the rim went more out of true. I had to stop again (mid-ride) to have the spokes tightened again. The mechanic at this shop suggested the rim may have issues and I should talk to whomever I bought the bike from to see about getting a fix.In the 3-4 months I have owned the bicycle, I have had to have the rear rim trued 3 times. The first was an emergency measure because I could actually tighten them with my fingers. The second time was by the Roll service department as part of my free first month tune-up. And the third time was after the Roll tune-up. Apparently, there may be a problem with the rear wheel, but Roll: doesnt (or wont) cover the possible defect. The truth is that this is the first time I have ever spent more than $200 for a bicycle, and I expected a great deal more quality fro my purchase. Im not convinced that the service department is up to par as far as repairs go, and I certainly didnt expect to make the minor types of repairs (tightening the crank arms, for example) that I expect from the guy who assembles bicycles at Target. If this this indeed a case of manufacture defect, I dont have confidence that Roll: is interested in making the issue right as the rim (even brand new) isnt part of the warranty fine print. As it stands, I may need to replace the back rim out of my own pocket. For that, I am certainly NOT happy with Roll:.If this is the case, I will make sure to spread the word of my experience before and after the sale (with emphasis on the after). It was a great place to buy the bicycle, but the buyer should definitely beware of the service department!!

Went in as a bike newbie, and had a poor experience. I was passed between different sales people during my initial visit. Ended up deciding on a bike, and after I paid they said it wasnt in stock, it would be in in two days. Two days pass I call them up, and they say it wont be in for a week. I then get changed to the lower model (obviously refunded the difference) and am sold on that. Less than a week goes by of maybe 2 trips on the bike trail, a bracket comes loose and I have to take it back in to be fixed. After some time, now that I know a bit more about bikes, Im very upset with my experience there, I feel like I was sold something as a newbie I didnt want and thought I explained well what I needed. Now, instead of riding the 500 dollar bike I purchase from them, I ride my GFs 75 dollar craigslist bike which performs much better. Will not go back.
