Dodger is hands down the best tuner and performance car builder I have ever met. I brought in a completely ruined 240sx with an RB20 in it that could barely run. Dodger was honest and straightforward right off the bat, getting me set up with parts that I actually needed, if he couldnt find the part through a trusted seller, he would make one with top level welding and fabrication. Every aspect such as wiring, plumbing, engine mounting, and even aesthetics was all taken care of with immense detail. Any wiring issue or cooling issue was hunted down no matter what, even if that meant that the whole wiring harness had to come out. As Dodger dug deeper into the project, he was honest with me in helping to decide whether or not to continue moving forward. Once I decided to pull the plug on the project, Dodger was extremely kind in only charging for what he thought the work was worth, saving me tons. Dodger and the work he does is on a level miles above the other claimed tuners here in Utah. Hes not motivated my chasing maximum profit, hes in it to make some of the gnarliest and fastest cars the state has ever seen.

Dogder took the time to tune a project from another tuner and achieved a huge performance gain in both horsepower and torque. Communication through the process was awesome. Would recommend him tho anyone looking to get the Max performance out of your ride.

I had a very complicated build when it first showed up to 187 with multiple fitment / and stand alone integration issues. It had come from another well known shop in SLC where it was neglected for a year as it sat outside long enough that my brand new block ended rusting in multiple areas.187 doesn’t mess around. Quality work and tuning. My build is a very unique monster and it would have never turned out correct if it didn’t end up going to this shop. Fabrication on my LSX 427TT setup is amazing. He won’t let anything out of his shop that doesn’t meet his quality and standards. He dyno tunes his cars very thoroughly. Depending on the build, mine has taken multiple days to tune correctly. Dodger is a very genuine guy and has become a very good friend of mine. He will not BS you, but just give you the information upfront on what the car will take in order to put his stamp of approval on it. I personally prefer the communication to be straight up and no beating around the bush as I experienced for a year prior to the relocation of the car. If anyone has a serious build with any type of custom fabrication needed, or interested in bringing some serious power with Haltech, 187 is the place and worth the wait. I trusted my monster with Dodger and I’m beyond pleased. My car made 1050 WHP on pump gas around 8-9psi. Switched over to Ethanol and on a very conservative tune with 15-16 degrees of timing and 23-24psi made 1612WHP. We aren’t done with this yet, and planning on finishing the tune around 18xx WHP around 25 psi. This build was meant to be a 7-sec car and I couldn’t have got there with Dodger and his innovative way of thinking and fabrication.

Very knowledgeable across platforms and very helpful. It was cool to have someone interested in showing me how to adjust my own tunes. He was also eager to teach me what the proper steps to take were and in what order I should take them on on my build.

Dodger took on a difficult project for me—a refurbished engine dropped into a 1997 Land Cruiser. “Dropped” is the appropriate word because for more than 2 years it had been nothing but a headache. (A reminder to fully vet any mechanic before having them work on your vehicle.) Dodger took an incredible amount of personal pride in fixing the problem, he installed a new computer and spent a lot of his personal time tuning the engine and getting the truck to run at its best. He cleaned up a lot of previous sloppy work and really paid attention to details. I’m enormously grateful, and who better to work on your vehicle than the guy who built the World’s Fastest Forerunner!?

Dodger was great to work with, communication was great, made sure the job was done well, managed to get a 40hp gain on the previous tuner.
