I went to do some trade ins and was told there was a list of games that despite the website having trade values, the specific store doesnt take certain games. Kind of BS, I get tired of this and the fact that gamestop always tells me they dont do price matching, but other people report they do. It always seems this store specifically picks and chooses who they want to help and when.

Customer service was awkward. The employee (Juan) seemed upset that I came to return a game that I found at another location for $25 cheaper. He said to me, “next time you should just ask for a price match because now you’re making my register negative”. I told him “that’s good to know” and dismissed his comment. He went on to say “yea because we haven’t made any sales today (2:37pm) it’s a Covid Monday and all the slackers are sitting at home playing their games”. I just grabbed what I needed and got up out of there. You’d think I came to return something at a tag sale. 😬

Enjoy coming here, Ive never had a problem with the workers they have always been very helpful and polite. My son and daughter like to play the game in front of the store. Ive always been able to find what i need and if not they will help you find what your looking for. Great customer service. I either come here for games or its Ebay or Amazon! I highly recommend coming here especially if your looking for some great deals.

Despite the fact that GameStop steals from you when you trade things in, Customer Service at this particular GameStop was great. Everyone was friendly and very knowledgeable about release dates and so on. I would recommend it if you must go.

This store is very clean and the staff are friendly and knowledgeable. While I was waiting in line, another customer was purchasing a VR system. He received excellent service from the sales associate. He was informed on the product he was purchasing and how to set it up when he was at home. Lots of good clearance items, tons of collectables, and the usual items youd expect from GameStop.

Thank God they got rid of Mr Slacker. He was one of the slowest workers ive ever encountered.

This is my go-to for video game buying because its closest to where I live, and I (usually) have a great experience here. A majority of the staff is helpful and really friendly, and despite going in much less than I used to, they still recognize me on sight and usually make my day much better. Most of the time when I come in here I like to stick around for a bit and talk to the staff because I enjoy being around them. One of them was even nice enough to talk me through installing a 2TB hard drive into my PS4 when he sold me the drive (though he certainly didnt have to take the extra time).My only real complaint, however, is that one of the staff members (who I believe is a manager? Tall white dude, skinny, I THINK he has glasses) is INCREDIBLY rude to anyone who hands him an application or inquires about a job opening if they arent actively hiring. Yes, its retail, and if someone hasnt worked retail and doesnt understand the hiring trends, then theyll probably apply at the wrong time of year. Ive worked in plenty of places while they werent actively hiring and accepted plenty of applications I knew wouldnt be looked at, and Ive even told applicants that the likelihood of being called back was slim because business was slow or all the seasonable employees had already been hired. Thats normal, and theres no reason to be rude about it.However, the manager (?) at this particular GameStop openly mocks potential applicants in front of other customers and seems to delight in embarrassing people. Its gross. Many people consider working there because they like the product, even if they dont understand that retail is a miserable soul-sucking hellpit of a job, but if you take their application and are either kind or honest with them or both, theyll keep coming back and spending money. When I see this sort of behavior from this employee, it takes me a long time to return to the location to make another purchase, and Im not even the one hes making fun of. They have definitely missed out on sales to me because this particular person cant keep his bad manners to himself.

The stuff is great, very friendly.Unfortunately they have to use very slow WiFi to update consoles and to check them. It took over an hour in my case. If youre about to do trade in, make sure you download all updates after resetting of your console at home.

I bought a used game and it didn’t work so I returned it. I came back another time to try to get the game again. The same exact cashier gave me the same disc and it still doesn’t work. They are terrible there.

Ive gotten great service here, and not so great. Stopped in a few weeks ago looking for DVDs(which I didnt find) and possibly a new or used system. I wasnt greeted or asked if I needed help, and ended up leaving after 15 minutes. Came in around Christmas time and was given phenomenal recommendations about games and thought the employees were great, and they are the only reason im giving 4 stars. Im in the area enough that if I see the employees from my Christmas visit Ill stop in to ask about a system, but otherwise will probably buy online. Ill recommend this location if you know exactly what you want or want something new and current as it is well stocked with games and easy to navigate

My 7 year old son was trying to ask one of the associates a question and he just ignored him and walked away. We were there to buy him a game and he was trying to ask if they had it. But then they want to ask me if I needed help. My son was the real customer not me, mom was just paying! Help the kid out and dont ignore the little customers who know more about the 🎮 than dear old mom. Just saying.

Today it was perfect for Christmas holidays, regular days where are the no holidays you always have to wait inline to pay of course I call ahead of time to make sure they had what I was looking for. In and out 15 minutes. Riverdale plaza West Springfield.

Ive gone to a bunch of GameStop stores and for some reason Ive just been going to this one I guess the atmosphere is perfect there...Employees are helpful and friendly and it always has what Im looking for... i can always find what I want and I rather buy the game disc rather than downloading...im with GameStop 100%

I purchased a used controller from the store and brought it home. I put batteries in it and try to turn it on, it did not function. I called the store and they told me that they do not test the used equipment. They told me they only look to see if all the buttons are there., I was forced to return to the store and trade for a different color controller that I didnt want.Before buying anything used from this store make sure you test it. GameStop does not test anything. It was a waste of my time to drive back and forth to the store in order to correct their mistake

This is one of the better GameStops in the area. They carry more than Holyoke or Hadley and trading in some games and getting a decent steering wheel for my XBox One was fast an easy.

They were out of nyko batteries but other then that I had an overall good experience. The gentleman behind the counter knows what hes talking about.

I hear many bad reviews for GameStop, but let me tell you, out of all the GameStop Ive been to, this one is the best, as in its not just people trying to make money, but its actually people who are happy to talk about their love of videogames. I feel at home with every new employee I meet here. And trust me, they arent just talking about games to try and make money, Ive had people here giving me a heads up on cool free games on PC to watch out for. You can actually talk to these people and get real opinions from gamers like you. I wish I could say the same about the atmosphere at other gamestops.As far as service, I havent had any issues, but I also never have returned or sold anything here. I can say that they are very helpful though, even if you are looking for an item they dont sell.

Came in to get my son a game. He finally found one from the very limited selection of switch games which was half of what other gamestop stores carry. Was waiting at checkout for 5 min while a guy was standing there playing on a tablet. He finally asked if I was ready to checkout, granted he wasnt wearing a gamestop shirt, so i had no way to know before he asked. He proceeds to check me out, and tell me that the gams my son finally decided on buying was currently out of stock. Why the hell would you put an empty case on the shelf to sell a product if you didnt have a product to sell?

Horrible rude Customer service by Juan. Very mean attitude. Not the Gamestop to go to. Customer before me ended up unsatisfied as well by the way he talked to me afterwards. Juan is not trained well in Gamestop management, nor in general. Small collection of games also, if possible, I recommend going to the Gamestop 5 minutes away in the Holyoke mall. Huge selection of games and much better customer service by far.

Purchased the xbox one elite gaming bundle for 500.00 Got it home and opened it to find there was no plastic wrap around the unit itself and the cords were not in plastic bags, just twist tied together. I connected the unit as I was anxious to try the new controller. I have small thumbs and even the smallest size thumbsticks were awkward for me to use. The 500 was for a 1 T.B. console and Elite controller. Thats it, no connect or games. I called the store to ask them if I could return it in the morning and was told no. The sales boy on the phone acted.as though I was foolish for suggesting I be able to return a product I am unsatisfied with. Over the last year I have purchased 2 xbox ones and a 300 pair of Turtle Beach headphones from this same store. Today was the last time I will step foot in a Game Stop EVER! Had I been a little patient and purchased at Best Buy they would have accepted the unit back without question and given me a full refund. I will be letting everyone I know to avoid Game Stop like the plague and make all their electronic purchases from Best Buy at the Holyoke Mall. They may be under staffed but the people there are polite and will get answers if they dont know themselves. Buyer beware, Game Stop wants your money and has no interest what so ever in customer service!
