Purchased a used engine which was advertised as having been compression tested multiple times & guaranteed running. Upon testing it myself the engine was clearly no good. Brought it back within the 30 day warranty date for an exchange, was told by mike they dont do any compression testing, but I could bring my own starter and test them (he had all the tools). Both mike and his boss (a guy who I had to call on the phone) were very unprofessional & tried to manipulate my father and I into taking back an engine that is blown up. Ended up getting a refund with 35% restocking fee after ~2 hours of altercation. STAY AWAY

Watch out for this place. They will sell you the wrong engine and then charge a restocking fee of 35% because someone looked at the engine and it looked right. They gave us an older engine, so it looked like the right one, but it has the wrong heads and wont swap over. Bad business, especially since we are a shop in the area, wont be using this place again.

Worst company to purchase anything from. Had a motor from Michael with sludge he suggested for me to clean and install the motor. Spoken to him for replacement now been 2wks no answer or replacement motor. Dude is rude and will take your money and not answer you

Tried to buy a motor from the place. I wanted to pay cash, but the guy asked for a credit card. I told him that would be fine if I could pay for it in cash when I buy the motor. He didnt like that and told me he had another buyer and that its too much trouble and maybe I shouldnt buy the motor. I told him to forget it. I never bought the motor. My thoughts were that that if he is this much trouble when I am trying to buy the motor, imagine what it will be like if there is a problem. Stay away.

Mike at JDM MOTORS amazing to deal with motors are the best low miles guaranteed. I am now buying a second motor. The first was for my crv 1st gen 2000 year. Motor was green all the way on compression check and leak down. I recommend this over a used motor from any Rancho Cordova dismantled! Cheers and drive safe.

Call to get a quote for two engine and to confirm if the engine are available for pick up. Gives me price higher then what was advertising. I ask him for a total out the door and the guy started saying that is this a joke for asking for two engine. He has a bad attitude and started to yell saying that I wasted his time and hang up on me. love to see you out of business!!! This place is bad, they sell me the wrong transmission for my 2004 toyota matrix, and when I brought it back the guy name “Michael” Was very rude, I explained to him that the transmission was different And that he give me one from a different model or year he started to argue with me saying that I didn’t have a professional mechanic unbelievable, not a professional place at all.STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE.

I was a little worried about the condition of a Honda engine, but I pulled the valve cover and it looked practically brand new! Put 1,000 miles on the engine with zero problems. Owner friendly and let me pick out the engine too. Will not hesitate to fo business with again. Thanks guys! Super happy
